Please Read:
(Before anything, if you read this in General Discussion, please understand that I'm trying to get this topic as much attention as possible, and will move it back to Suggestions. I hope devs one day actually give this topic, or even one suggestion in this topic, some attention. Given the small amount of support I'm getting, I think other players would actually appreciate it too if the devs implemented some of these ideas, but I'm too sure, so I'm trying to get attention for the thread to get more opinions. Thanks for paying attention to this topic, and pretty please, leave a comment if you agree with any of the suggestions. <3)
-------
This is just a thread about suggestions that are easy to implement, yet would be very helpful. I felt the need to make this thread, as the Suggestions board had some very practical suggestions in it, but they were drowned by topics that had unreasonable suggestions / sorts of suggestions that would probably never even be considered implemented.
Before you read the suggestions, not all of the suggestions are mine. I simply remember reading some from other topics, I'll give the people who made the suggestions credit, if I find who they are. Also, if you also have a logical suggestion that wouldn't be too hard to put in, please suggest it here. :)
NOTE: By the time you read this, hopefully you get the point but just in case: this is only for suggestions that fall under the two categories mentioned in the thread title. It's not a thread to suggest ideas that everyone would love even though it may take a while to put in, like a 5* Winmillion, or ideas that came out of nowhere like a new Tier 3 Gremlin Boss: King Tinkinzar.
If you support any of these ideas, please comment on the thread and kindly contribute, please! n.n

1) Full Inspect: Friends. Party Members. Guilds. No One. [Nicoya-Kitty]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/36908
I'm not sure if that was the suggestion exactly, but the idea is, you get to choose what kind of people can actually inspect you, instead of simply having just 2 options: Not allow ANYONE, or allow EVERYONE to see exactly what you have equipped. I would imagine that, the text "Allow Full Inspect" would be a button, that drops a droplist with tickboxes for "Friends" "Party" "Guild", which would determine who could see your gear.
2) Shield Cover [Olivemancer]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/32191
(Put into the mind, the links in the first post in the thread, showing that this is a VERY popular suggestion)
The actual suggestion was named 'Shield Costume' but then someone suggested the name 'Shield Cover' which others agreed on.
The suggestion was, letting people appear to be using a shield that they aren't actually using, mostly for the purpose of looking good in appearance.
For example, I can run into Firestorm Citadel with Icebreaker Helm and Blizzbreaker Armor as a costume, but I can't bring Blizzbreaker Shield to complete the costume without having a very weak shield.
3) Give True Love Lockets A Higher Health Bonus [Me]
I am actually not sure if the wiki is telling me the truth or not, but from the wiki tells me, and what in-game strangers tell me, Penta-Heart Pendants and True Love Lockets offer the same Health bonus (+6). I think it would appropriate to give True Love Lockets a +7 bonus to maximum health, or maybe even +8 given its rarity.
4) Krogmo Alchemy Machine Recipe Placement Organisation [Me]
The Trinkets in the Krogmo vendor are a bit muddled up when it comes to order. There's two bomb trinkets at the top, then a heart pendant, then two more bomb trinkets, two gun trinkets, three sword trinkets and two more gun trinkets etc. There isnt any order as to star rating or type of bonus or anything. I would recommend putting all the bomb trinkets on top, then all the gun trinkets together underneath it, then all the sword trinkets underneath that, and also putting the Elite modules either on top/bottom of their 4* versions. The heart pendants could either be at the top or bottom of the list, in order from worst to best, or the other way around. Two examples:
Example One:
Heart Pendant
Dual Heart Pendant
Tri-Heart Pendant
Tetra-Heart Pendant
Penta-Heart Pendant
Bomb Focus Module
Boom Module
Elite Bomb Focus Module
Elite Boom Module
Handgun Focus Module
Quick Draw Module
Trueshot Module
Elite Handgun Focus Module
Elite Quick Draw Module
Elite Trueshot Module
Slash Module
Sword Focus Module
Quick Strike Module
Elite Slash Module
Elite Sword Focus Module
Elite Quick Strike Module
^ Heart pendants on top, Bomb trinkets below that, Gun trinkets below that and Sword trinkets at the bottom. Elite modules are at the bottom of each "group" in this example, but there wouldn't be any real difference if they were on top either, and there also wouldn't be any real difference if the order of "groups" from top-to-bottom were different, eg; swords on top, guns middle, bomb bottom.
Example Two:
Boom Module
Elite Boom Module
Bomb Focus Module
Elite Bomb Focus Module
Handgun Focus Module
Elite Handgun Focus Module
Quick Draw Module
Elite Quick Draw Module
Trueshot Module
Elite Trueshot Module
Slash Module
Elite Slash Module
Quick Strike Module
Elite Quick Strike Module
Sword Focus Module
Elite Sword Focus Module
Heart Pendant
Dual Heart Pendant
Tri-Heart Pendant
Tetra-Heart Pendant
Penta-Heart Pendant
^ Just putting all the Elite modules below their 4* versions. like the first example, the order of "groups" wouldnt matter, and so wouldnt putting the elite modules above their 4* versions instead. Heart pendants have been shoved to the bottom of the list here, to prove I have godlike creativity.
5) Guild Notice [Me]
If you are in a Guild, whenever you log in, you'll get a small message in your chatbox. Guild Masters will be able to edit this notice. It will have a reasonable character limit (and by reasonable, I mean, somewhat small, to make sure it's not going to be huge and unnecessary). Probably somewhere around 150 - 200 characters. Or possibly more. Guild Masters will also be able to disable / activate the guild notice at will. To give you an estimate, I've randomly copy/pasted part of lyrics of a song.
"When they know they're your heart. And you know you wear that armour. And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm her. But what happens when karma, turns right around and bites you? And everything you stand for, turns on you to spite you?"
^ Characters, excluding spaces between words, amounts to 197.
6) Trade Tab Of The Energy Depot [Me]
When people purchase energy with crowns, there's the left side that says:
WANT ENERGY?
Current Offer: 7000cr~
Buy 100 Energy
and the right side that says:
WANT CROWNS?
Current Offer: 100 ce
Buy 6800cr~
I think the right side is silly. The offer is always going to say 100 ce, and the number that changes is the number on the buy button. I think the dynamic variable should be the big number on both sides. So I thought the devs should change it to:
WANT CROWNS?
Current Offer: 6800cr~
Sell 100 Energy
I think that would look a lot better and neater.
7) Featured Auctions Not Set As Auction House Default [Dirge-Knight]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/36832
Simple. Many players simply don't want to see the Featured Auctions every time they check at the AH. Especially people that spend a lot of time checking at the AH for items and such. I think it would be more convenient if it would immediately show the player the "By Category" menu when they open up the AH window. Maybe make it so Featured Auctions show up first thing, only once a day to make sure every player knows what's going on in the Featured Auctions. People don't need to see that menu 10 times a day, 7 days a week to comphrehend that Scissor Blades are being sold for amounts of crowns they could only dream of.
8) Closed Event Hub By Default When Logging On [Asukalanforum]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/36621
Simply put, there's a significant number of players that only find the Event Hub annoying. Sure, it's a creative feature that everyone liked, but it's not necessarily that amazing to the point where it's the first thing you want to see when you log on.
9) The Ability To Retain Heat After Leaving A Party [Mawashimono]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/35640
It sucks when you go solo before a lift and realise you can't retain your heat. Even more so, when your Party Leader isn't the nicest guy around, and decides to kick you, making you lose all your heat for nothing.
10) A Visible Life Bar For Bosses [Tammytryhard]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/34458
"Definitely with you on this one. Specifically for Vanaduke, it is hard to tell how hurt he is. Adding a life bar makes decisions to revive easier, since you know how far you have to go. Would be nice for the other bosses too." - Sarakos.
11) Tabbed Chat [Orangeo]
It would be VERY convenient for different types of chats to be in different tabs. This is probably the first MMO I've ever been in that doesn't have this feature. It really is important. And easy to implement. I kind of expect everyone would know what your average MMO chat tabs look like, but just in case, it would look something like this:
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy322/HatsuneMikuTheVocaloid/Spiral%2...
Guild chat would include Officer chat. The Whisper tab to see the "/tells" you've received and sent. System would refer to system messages such as "You have been outbidded on Jelly Helm. You have been refunded 69 crowns." "You have new mail from the Auction House." "That player is currently offline." "You have received a friend request from Your-Mom." The + tab is a possible customisable tab. There is a scrollbar instead of buttons to the left. The top-right corner of the message box has an icon you can drag to resize the message box.
An alternative method of approaching this would be to make a chat system similar to RuneScape. This game, in my opinion, sucks. But the chat was very well designed. Here is a screenshot:
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy322/HatsuneMikuTheVocaloid/RunesSca...
You see at the bottom, multiple tabs that can be selected either ON or OFF. Notice the yellow square around "Public" ? That means I have selected the Public tab and am now viewing only chat in public. The tab to the left, that says "All", displays all types of Chat that are ON. That means the messages I see in my chatbox include system messages (Game), public chat (Public), whispers (Private) and friends (Friends). I don't see any of the ones that are OFF, such as "Clan" which is clan chat.
12) Manual Camera Rotation [Protomaan]
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/38842
Just being able to rotate your camera would improve gameplay quality a fair bit in my opinion. So little work, so much gain. If you notice, you can see a lot more on the top half of the screen, than the bottom half of the screen. This is obviously because of the camera placement. This means we are always much more ready to handle an incoming enemy or projectile coming from the top half of the screen than the bottom. Players are always at risk of getting hit by a Trojan's charge, or a Retrode's laser, coming from barely out of the camera's display range, especially from the bottom. Offscreen issues like this can easily be fixed by giving the ability to rotate your camera, giving you an quick outlook on your immediate surroundings.
Agree with all suggestions, good job putting it in one place.
