I wasn't able to find it, but I remember it was two suggestions in one thread.
1: Let armours belong to families, so that in Lockdown, someone using Deadly Virulisk would deal increased damage to wolvers.
2: Let equipped shields matter in Lockdown. The idea was that someone with a heater shield would be able to cloak through a shivermist unharmed due to their shield's freeze resistance. Shields would also stack extra defences onto Guardian shields and, yes, allow strikers with crest of almire to boost through Voltaic Tempest. They'd still get shocked if they stopped boosting.

I still think these are good suggestions and should be implemented.
