Arcelle is a she.

I was aware Arcelle is a she; that was a typo. I did not, however, know that Possiblespy is a she.
And Possiblespy too. e_e
...
Sorry. I had to. This is going to be a running gag for the most part... Hehe.
Hey Hexlash, would two randomized levels between us and our target depth be alright with you, or do you have character lore planned that require us to go down farther or something? Using random.org's dice roller and this key, I rolled a five then a four, meaning quicksilvers for the next level.
1: beast, fire
2: construct, freeze
3: fiend, poison
4: gremlin, shock
5: slime, neutral
6: undead, re-roll.
Oh, and Thinslayer, do we need to meet up with everyone else at some point?
Well this is fun. Get to mess around with the religion of people.
@Dmatter: No, it's not needed, especially if you or I can come up with a compelling storyline for you guys. There IS a story link to bring everyone together if need be (Queen of Spades' letter to Skotino), but it need not be used.
@Darkwatck: Hehe, yeah, I think you'll have fun with it. ^_^
But have your fun while you can, because there IS a serious, real (in-game only, ofc) component to their religion that will eventually become very important. In fact, it's key to this storyline.
Character ideas.
Here's a question, What characters are currently in the Spades Guild? And would it be acceptable if my character was from or started in there?
And, being a character who starts in the Spades guild, what do I need to know about it? (that is, if my idea is acceptable.)
I'm up for whatever, I'm just going with the flow, haha.

Thin; where did he get that from, his backside xD. Jk but still its funny, I have a feeling there is a little more then blind religion going on here.
"Pulled it out of his arse," you mean? xD lulz
"...more than blind religion..."
^Yup.
I was going to write another story post, but it occurred to me that it still leaves everyone but Darkwatck behind. How would you guys like to proceed? What are your story plans?
Raigaizam's been neglecting his turn. I really want to finish the fight, let Alex go, and then begin training and get on with REAL politics, but his lack of activity is preventing me from doing so. :<
THe best idea is to start moving to a uniformal movement right now then bring everyone back into a open world environment. This is something games do a lot, to set story you need to at times come into a non-Liner path. :/
Suppose I ended the fight with the Wurm, granting you guys a Fate Point in the process. The Morai would then direct you to Scofflaw's Diamondbacks, whom you would accompany and maybe fight for in their battle against Rotlass' Blood Hearts.
Sound good?
But then again, Alexander was locked up by the Morai in the beginning. Why would he fight for them?
Think about it for a bit. Under what conditions might someone fight for his enemies?
*Change of heart (heel face-turn)
*Being forced (e.g. Blackmail, gunpoint, etc.)
*Deception (only pretending to fight for them)
Use your imagination!
Wait, Rotlass too?
Oh, this is a terrible mess beyond comprehension indeed, for everyone else in the Spades guild... Except for Rotlass.
Give me a lead here...
Also, my character sheet might... conflict with the religion, being a agnostic. - Scratch that, There's proof. Well done.
ehh.... Whatever, toss in the weak willed character who doesn't really want to kill!
Normally I wouldn't ask, but toss me a bone! Where should I start?
Start where ever sounds best. At the moment the story is split between two sides. One is a battle with Morai and the other is a seige of the Spade's guild which I am honstly feeling is a set up to destroy the balance of power. Something about the Spades guild is getting me thinking.
Here is my thought: The Spades guild is trying to get a stronger grasp on the 'Government' by keeping out of Politics it's instead trying to get a military presence to have a stronger hold on the Order by which they captured a living god (Goddess) to try and get Biological advantage over other guilds in a since taking over with a Military presence out doing most Bio-engineered soldiers there in making it easier for them to hold power once they have taken it.
Just me thinking.
I'd like to see a post of the Spades side before the attack starts (Or the stealth, if you prefer. If stealth is successful, you could always "Overhear" them)
I still want a post on their side before anything happens. Then I can get a feel for their guild, and what they plan to do with the demigod.
Also, Well stated, Darkwatck.
PS; Never ever EVER name a character, ESPECIALLY mages, Agana. They will die.
@Liminori: Okay, you can be in the Spades guild.
The Spades are supposed to be the good guys in this story. But that's all I can reveal atm.
Well there goes my suspections based on detective reasoning. GG brain, GG.
By logic I think that means my group here is nutrual/on their own working for money. DOSH! It makes the world go round m8.
Sorry. I've been idly standing by doing multiple things. I've become... Less active, shall we say. *Cough*Reallyjustplayingsomemasseffect2andotherstuff,butwhatever*Cough*
Also, am I the person you mentioned? Or am I just with them? But nonetheless, a post will be made.
Oh... Crap. I didn't know that's how the website worked! Now I've gone and created 2 separate character rolls. But so you know, those rolls were legitimate.
Edit: never mind, should've read the new posts.
@Liminori Please don't cheat, and roll results for Responses against Amber.
Raigazim is gone. Where is he? WHERE IS HE? As much as I'd hate doing it, I will powerplay (with a fair record of rolls) for him if he doesn't reply in time.
I didn't do a test run, and that was my fault. I DIDN'T CHEAT!
Besides, I needed to post something, and I didn't know the difficulty, which has yet to be added! I did make those rolls, I just didn't log in.
I afterward made an account for that website.
I can't roll a response, because- again, I don't know the difficulty.
Whack me on the head all you want, it won't change the fact that I was tired of waiting AND procrastinating.
I rolled those dice on the website, and you can't prove I didn't.
(PS: Use the bloody time record on the rolls, and the post itself! Argh.)
...wait, what're you talking about? All I asked / demanded of you was to make Response rolls against Amber's Attempt rolls, and them show them on a link. Otherwise, regardless of what Amber would roll, there would be no Response to make that attempt Fail / Tie.
What's this all about a test run, an account, and a time record? O.o
(And ask Thinslayer for a difficulty, if you want. Not sure why he's been neglecting to put these up, but okay...?)
I was talking about the website on which I rolled.
I honestly thought that you were getting on me about using other people's rolls (Which I didn't) or Cheating rolls by continuing to roll before making an account.
V V V
As for the response rolls, I still have to ask for Thinslayer's Difficulty rating from the spiral wardens.
@Thinslayer: The above is which I want to know. Arrows will be put for help. ^ ^ ^
Is it okay to have a gremlin Character.
I'm just wondering.
Sure. I don't think anything in the rules prevent it. ;-)
Slight Hazards: 1
Small Animals: 2
Noobs: 3
Default: 4
Gremlin: 5
Spiral Knight: 6
Veteran Knight, Normal Guardian: 7
Warden, Veteran Guardian: 8
Miniboss: 9
The way I see it, they don't have much in the way of a response reasoning the way I put it...
Let me change that.
Let me also add in the stuff.
And change the post entirely, because the second roll was to continue the first-
5+ 2(Clever bonus) = 7 (Difficulty 8.) See? I can't actually have the second roll now. You said I was up against Diamondback Wardens...
Wait, it's impossible to defeat a miniboss. Or a boss.
Even if you roll a six, and use your best skill, you can't actually defeat minibosses!
The only way for my character to beat the wardens in the first place is to do a bull rush at them, break their defenses, and murder them using surprise as a sword!
Oh god, I'm screwed, aren't I?
Either that, Or I don't understand the system whatsoever.
GARGH.
I'll just be down here... curled up in a little ball in my chair... Reading the first page so inventively that I forget everything else.
Argh, I hate that attempt and response rolls are separate.
And that attempt rolls only appear in the beginning.
And how PLACEHOLDER clueless I was literally 1 minute ago.
Edit 2: Can't remember where the last one was. Anyway, How many wardens are there?
All right, I admit, I'm a little stuck here on the plot.
Anybody have any tips on how to move the story forward from here?
So far, the majority of the characters on-field are the guilds and parts of the Spiral Order. Have you forgotten the Crimson Order?
The Crimson Order is not a significant part of the overall plot I had in mind, but I'm open to ideas.
Well how about you get the assalt on the Spade's guild over and from there it might have a bigger impact on the Order as well as others. After all from the way you described it the Order has a Political system which if disrupted will cause ripples. It could be interesting to how those ripples fill out.
Gathering everyone up like that... Just slight stretching of power use.
*Whistling casually*
"So... What are we going to do with this forum now?"
Amber quietly sits in a chair, swirling around alcohol in a glass.
I haven't actually accomplished that goal yet. I've just removed a couple obstacles thus far.
I was just simply stating that...
Because...
We needed a bump...
blah.
"I am the man who arranges the blocks!"
Sorry Hexlash for not posting, I am currently on a family vacation, (though we're heading home today to reach home tomorrow at the latest) so I can't really post. Still can't for now (other than this), but I thought I should give you a heads-up.
You know, With the whole... You describe my character, I describe the character again, you end the conflict and interrupt my part of the story. Just a bit anyway...
You show my character to be a bit less forgiving and caring than she actually is, then I have her kill a warden, and hide in cover, using it to hide her shame, then you end the conflict altogether, and... Yeah...
I feel like there's something wrong with that picture.
Maybe it's just the inconsistent tone...
Edit: Also, Amber's not much of a leader.
Oho! Fate:Factions eh? Role play meets fan fiction, eh? Character apps, eh?
...SIGN ME UP!
(Or just read through this character app. Door number 2 recommended.)
-Name: Allister/Noctis
-Gender and Birthdate: male, Birthdate: 6/12/2990
-Appearance and gear: Obsidian Silvermail (looks like Silvermail at torso and arms, but has obsidian mantle-style legs. If confusing, just stick with Silvermail.), Kat Claw mask, orange player colour, circular eyes.
-Weapons: two halves of a leviathan blade.
-Aspects: Allister: loyal, brave, empathetic. Noctis: clever and sneaky.
-Approaches:
-Careful: 2
-Clever: 2
-flashy: 1
-forceful: 0
-Quick: 1
-Sneaky: 3
-Bio: Allister was a seemingly normal knight, rapidly rising through the ranks to Vanguard (despite the ridiculously low orb drop. Stupid orbs...) anyway, Allister was assigned to raid a Crimson order laboratory. Unbeknownst to the Spiral order or Allister, the laboratory belonged to Herex, a deceitful Gremlin who left the Crimson Order. Confronting the Gremlin, Herex told Allister his true identity: he was a Gremlin field agent named Noctis, who was assigned very, very deep cover in an attempt to destroy the spiral order from the inside. Noctis reawakened in Allister's mind, and the two fought a mental battle which very nearly destroyed their body. However, the two managed to form a partnership, and, not knowing which side to trust anymore, they turned to mercenary work. Noctuid would take control as the assassin, a master of silent espionage and cunning. Allister was the loyal knight, empathetic and understanding in every way. Whilst Noctis lets Allister take control most of the time, he does offer advice and can even take over if Allister needs help.
When the core opened, the pair decided to turn to the Spiral Order once again, partly because they were the underdogs in the fight between the five factions, but mostly because they offered the most attractive payment.
-personality: Allister is kind and loyal, and does not suspect betrayal or potential enemies as well as Noctis. Noctis is ruthless, but can lighten the mood at times, despite his past.
Finding your place in this story will be easier if you choose a faction.
There, a post. The roll was mainly just to get a feel for the system, you can interpret the result anyway you want hexlash.
