Has anyone noticed that when the game is updating, the various icons around Cradle is on the top and bottom of the loading popup thing and one of the icons is a bird? Mebbe that 'lil thing is the icon for owlites.
I never noticed it before last update cuz the contrasting colors are so close to each other.
I totally called the Kat/Owlite feud backstory. Also I suspect the Grimalkins to be those Curse-inducing Kats.
This is all great news, I can't want to see how it all comes down in the end. I just hope you guys think about revamping the look of the 3* Breaker sets anytime soon.

Sounds like we finally have random levels with special features rather than just monsters, crystals, boxes. Undead getting their own random level other than graveyard is nice also, constructs are the only ones now that don't have standard random levels.
Lag hasn't been as gamebreaking for me recently so it's good to get new content made for difficulty.

the difficulty content is based on something other than greater numbers (i.e. Great lag). Who wouldn't love to fight two jelly-kings at once!! Or perhaps jelly king and jelly queen. Or have snarbly be a random Button mini battle while delving deeper towards the core. Or have an FSC with higher heat, crowns, and drops, but twice as many trojans and extra slag guards here and there.
Also.....i know this isn't a suggestion thread. But it'd be nice to get a heat buff to main bosses. Killing Vana, or JK, should be a worthy endeavor towards heating up items.

A VERY long time ago, during my first few weeks on this here forum, I put up a suggestion thread asking for random features and/or surreal, mind-screwy elements or levels that would make the Clockworks feel more appropriately alien- stuff that would range from making players go "WHAT THE BLUE HELL WAS THAT!?" to "Ohey, that's pretty neat" (If you've played Yume Nikki or .flow then think along those lines).
Then came Snarbolax update, which probably counts as that since he stalks you over 9000 times before you fight him.
(And I just tried the Roarmulus twins yesterday- the sudden spotlight on you and the twins rising out of the abyss was pretty neat, so I guess it also counts... if it does then I should probably thank OOO THRICE for this).
And now we have Candle Cove... I mean, Candlestick Keep.

Well I posted for PvP, then they came up with Blast network.
Now all they need are better death scenes, laser pointers for guns, dead eye animation? and hopefully boss health bars.
It's kinda dry having to see my dude twirl around before collapsing to the floor on his back. Maybe I could see him splat against the wall after a particularly hard hit that made me collide with the wall?
Laser pointers are cool and help with aim in all scenarios. I want.

I can't tell when JK is dying. I soloed him once, and could only HOPE I got close after all the damage I did before I died.

Seconding an earlier question in the thread, is Candlestick Keep going to be a set of special levels like the Aurora Isles, some sort of unique 'end' level like Bone Briar Barrage or Stygian Steeds or is it a boss stratum? Is it going to be tier exclusive?
Other than that is all sounds awesome, any chance that last bit is a new tier 3 boss?

sounds pretty cool...but also sounds like I'd better keep hunting kats right now...every time a new boss comes out, bye bye mat prices XD (I'm aware these aren't boss stages but if they come up often its the same thing especially since many will run to it to see what it is like...including me lol).
I didn't really get the Lockdown and Loadout part.
Lockdown: Is Lockdown where you battle each other to try to carry totem-like thing to you own base to see who get the most and prevent others from stealing it? And really don't get the shield part, does it mean we can be invincible when the shield activates?
Loadout: Does that mean you have the ability to change your gear midway in battle?
I might have interpretation issues but can anyone tell me what it is about?
From the brief description, it sounds more like a CP or possibly KoTH than CTF.
Now to explain to those of you mystified by all the acronyms.
What EliteChamp described is CTF or Capture The Flag. There is a variation which is more like football where two teams battle to take an object to the other team's 'goal', but mostly CTF works with each team having a 'flag' (sometimes literally as in Halo or something in place of a flag such as the intel in TF2). This flag is usually somewhere at the back of a team's base. Both teams attempt to steal the other team's flag and take it back to the equivalent place in their base while trying to stop the other team doing the same. Matchs are won by either capturing the flag more times than the other team in a certain time limit or the first team to capture the flag a specified number of times.
nick's description sounds like a CP or Control Point game. The best known is the main mode of Battlefield games or for any TF2 players the maps Granary and Well are good examples. The teams battle for control points which are captured by having players from one team standing on the point for a certain amount of time, usually the more players on the point , the shorter the time taken. The match is won when one team takes control of all the points. Sometimes CPs are locked so that they have to be taken in sequence (TF2 maps). Imagine 2 teams Red and Blue and 5 CPs, Red starts at CP1 and Blue starts at CP5 on the other side of the map. Red would then have to capture CP2 and then CP3, CP4 and finally CP5 to win, meanwhile Blue is trying to do the same going from CP5 to CP4, CP3 etc.
KoTH is King of The Hill which is a variation on CP. Both teams battle over a single CP and have to hold it for 5 minutes to win. This doesn't mean that they have to hold on for 5 minutes in one go... when a team captures the point their clock starts counting down until either the 5 minutes is reached or the other team captures the point. So if team A captures the point and holds on for 30 seconds, their countdown stops when team B captures the point and the team B clock starts counting down, if A recaptures the point , their countdown resumes from where it stopped.
As for the Loadout feature... perhaps we're getting respawning in a similar manner to most first person shooters... usually there is a short time between getting killed and respawning where in class based shooters such as Battlefield or TF2 you can choose switch class (e.g. pyro to spy). Since we don't have classes as such it could work something like this... suppose the other team has lots of shadow weapons you could switch to equipment with shadow resistance or maybe the all have equipment weak to elemental, you could switch to elemental weapons.

Is Lockdown going to have divisions? For example 5* (5* and under gear allowed), 4* (4* and under gear allowed), and so forth. Otherwise seems like this would be a huge noob boot party. Ah just remembered the strata based nerfs, is lockdown just going to to act like stratum 1 to cutdown the veteran's edge?
No, loadouts aren't a midway switch thing.
They are gear sets pre-set by yourself, so that you can change all gear subcutaneously to the pre-set.
e.g:
Wolver Cap
Wolver Coat
Cutter
Prismatech Alchemer
Bristling Buckler
Assume this is your current 'all rounder' set
When you reach the Terminal before JK, you decide to use your gear set that you made specially for it. You choose the Loadout that you have already created in your Inventory.
Now:
Jelly Helm
Jelly Mail
Tempered Calibur
Shadowtech Alchemer
Bristling Buckler
You have switched all your gear at the same time to suit your needs. It saves time from having to switch each piece of individual gear to the situation, because you have already, and just need to activate it.
Following logic, this shouldn't be a 'one use only then it's gone' option that you have to buy. I assume someone would ask that.
Yep, loadouts are free to create, name and customize as you see fit. You can even flag some of them as a PvP loadout for use in games like Lockdown. Handy!
Without spending time hunting all around the forums for a slight hint of an answer, do you have any idea on whether or not there will be Australian/oceanic servers implemented soon?
While new content is fantastic and all, I find having 200-300 ping between here (new zealand) and your servers over in america the most frustrating thing in the world. I die from things flying four foot to my left, I get hit by spikes after walking two to three steps off them, I have to block before a monster's attack animation even STARTS and still I get hit sometimes.
If you're the person to ask, at least.

Not sure if it has to do with our speed though. I'm pretty sure it's just our computers processing our own data than the data we receive from the server, so our character will seem somewhere he/she is actually not. Your characters actual 'place' will be trailing behind your own, thats why when you get hit, use a vial, or a bomb, you seem to snap back. It's just putting you back to where you actually are.
I see what you mean though. I get hit by greavers even if I block with ample time between their attack and their indication.
Btw, Nick sounds really happy...Almost as hyper as me on a cold day while wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Not that I'm not crazy enough already ^^.
Loadouts seem like everything I asked them to be in the thread I wrote about them in. YES. This'll be GREAT.

I am looking forward to Candlestick Keep and maybe Lockdown. I was growing tired of the current content. Though, I did not consider the new monsters as new content.
Hopefully, the boss for Candlestick Keep is different from the other four bosses. It would break my heart if it is a copy-paste+minor-edit content. -.-
Candlestick Keep is not a boss stratum so it does not have a boss monster. However that's not to say there won't be a boss stratum in a similar environment later on.

just saying, i think u shoudl make a boos for candlestick. maybe my magicat boss idea. maybe in a library of candlestick, where all the secret knoledge is held.
a giant spookat with magical powers, thus call a magicat.
has a crystal wand or something to channel powers (maybe like retrode lasers), and can raise the dead.
first stage: shoots various status affect beams from staff. lighting does shock+damage, fireball does fire+damage, poison jet does minor damage+poinson, etc. all u can do for now is dodge.
2nd stage: after you survive for a certain amoun of time (maybe 1 min) he starts raising dead, while shooting stuff from wand. u have to smash his wand. the undead can drop hearts.
3rd stage: although his staff is smashed, he can still raise dead. 1 per 10 seconds. u get up him and stun him somehow. maybe there can be regenerating stun vials everywhere. or maybe you can throw the library's books at him, stunning him and some of them have magic powers that do status effects other than stun, but still do stun. (they are magic books, after all). of course, u shouldn't throw around 50k year old magic books. when he's stunned, say he cant raise dead. take this time to smash the undead. if u manage to smash all the undead, he goes into final stage.
4th stage: shoots bullets everywhere (maybe sort of like roary twins) that do shadow damage. maybe some curse? also rases some dead to help. you have to get up close without being hit and kill him. the books stun him so if u hit him with one he stops shooting, and u smash him. repeat until dead. you get tokens (maybe like.. i dunno,. something to do with the books in the library, maybe something called magic essence.). get enough and get the magicat hat, purring cap, new line of owlite shield, and so on and so forth.
i should put this post in suggestions...
i told all the SK naysayers that this game had only room to grow.

I know I've said it already, but I'll say it again, short and sweet: there already is a place for Kats to dwell: the Scarlet Fortress. The only monster without its own "special place" is the Greaver. I was hoping to see a Bat Cave or something for them, and then essentially every monster would have its own depth (the construct family as a whole can be found in Ironclaw and Jigsaw Valley, and Chromalisks are paired with Wolvers in Wolver Dens, but otherwise each monster series its own depth).
I was really hoping for a Kat boss.....I guess I got to excited XD and btw Necrom I liked your idea about the boss stagees etc. . They are going to wait for the Kat boss because they know we want the Kat helms LOL!

I see that we are going to be able to use our premade Loadouts in Lockdown, but what I am wondering is if we will be able to switch* Loadouts once the game has begun. For example: I equip Set A with fire resist before the game begins, yet once I start playing I see that ice bombs are in heavy use and I need to switch quickly to Set B with freeze resistance. Will I be able to do that without quitting the game?

Ohhh, that was just as funny as hell! Still though, sticking a Gran Faust into your body is highly advised against by all sane people. Still, I think that the game-logic behind this is hammerspace between your skin and your armour, this space can absorb and retreive equipment, but only that which is bound to you.
