I've been looking for a great guild to join for a while now that I'm back. I had literally taken a 9-10 month SK break because our old computer broke and the one we had for a substitute was a piece of (excuse my French). Now that I'm back, I've bought an elevator pass and plan on renewing it every month, I've already made a lot of new friends and caught up with old ones, and I left my previous guild because after 9-10 months of myself not being there (I was a Guild Master), it was horribly inactive. Now that I've made new friends, gotten an elevator pass and my skills back, I'm ready to find a great guild that's super active and friendly, and I believe this is the guild I've been looking for! :) I'm a five star "pro" that always uses correct grammar and spelling, even in game, I'm super friendly, and I go to help friends whenever they need it, even if it's in the middle of a floor or in T1/T2.

I look forward to talking with you more!

I've only been in this guild for a short while, but I wanted to thank you very much for all the good times I've enjoyed being in this guild, I got to know a lot of you and it was really fun playing together (Although I never did get to join in a T2 GLD match. =P), getting help with levels I couldn't beat, helping out others when I could, giving pancakes to everyone, and just having fun. I really enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, life has gotten really busy for me lately, and I don't have time to play much at all anymore, so I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone, and thank you. I have deposited all of what little I owned into the guild treasury. Sorry it's not much. Hope everyone has fun and enjoys themselves! Always speak kindly to your fellow guild mates! ^^

Guild Update

A NEW YEAR FOR CHANGES IN IMPERVIOUS

To current members and new potential recruits alike:

Somehow managing to be one of the older guilds in the game that is still active (exactly a year and half now), Impervious has gone through a lot. Being managed pretty much by myself as GM and only one doing recruitment for more than a year is admittedly, very exhausting. Despite the pains, we’ve also had lots of fun, shared some priceless moments and learnt many things in the process. However as main GM, my big trip to Europe leading to my two month hiatus from SK is not easy for any guild. It was only with the help of Produkt, Levitch, Toshk and Yfke that the guild is still in one piece and I think they’ve done everything they could and truly a great job while I was gone.

With this, recruitment also changed slightly and we became slightly more LD-focused simply because for some, that’s the only thing they do in the game. I’d like to believe we are and aim to be open and active to all that is available in SK such as in clockworks, shadow lairs, lockdown and even blast network. Wanting to fill the void to ensure members can play gvg in lockdown, gathering some friends, it was like a domino effect and more LD players wanted to join us, friends of friends wanted to join which is hard to say no, it was also just a great opportunity for our current LD players to play gvg frequently and as a guild and with each other.

Lockdown for me is not a competitive game. It varies and relies too much on gear, server and latency, and wealth which can make all the difference and then there is skill. For me, the best games are when the playing field is fair and it really shouldn’t be taken more seriously than to have fun together with other communities in the game with a respectable win or a loss. However, some other guilds don’t share this view or have this understanding and has unfortunately only led to over-competitiveness and mere frustration. Being a largely international guild in SK, there are language barriers so we don’t really have the luxury of freely communicating or even understanding which proves to be an additional challenge. Inevitably, we’ve gained the reputation of being an LD guild is not what we really wanted at all. With this, we will be changing our focus, going back to our roots a bit and will be downsizing Impervious to focus more on community building and encourage those who mainly play LD to find a new home that can better fit their needs in the game. Those who will still be here, we’ll still play some friendly gvg games with others if we got a team for it :)

Creating Impervious, I never expected it to be one of the top guilds in the game. We have never changed our description of us being a friendly laidback guild who just aims to have fun. We don’t have any officers and only a few GMs which both put us at an advantage where ranks are less relevant so everyone is equal, but also at a disadvantage where as much as we’d like to, we simply cannot spend all our time helping to bridge those connections between all members because we play casually too. As a result, we rely on others who can appreciate the idea of our guild and our veterans to be welcoming and inclusive, and aim to recruit those who like to take initiative and who are not afraid to put themselves out there to make their experience a good one. In other words, the guild is exactly what you make of it. This is something want all our current members and future recruits to understand.

Most people play MMOs because of the interaction with others and the communities and making friends. Communication is KEY. If you find you are no longer having fun or losing interest in the game, here are some suggestions: don’t be afraid to take some risks, say hello, be open to playing with others, strike up a conversation, make a post on our guild blog, tell a joke, lighten up and have fun! The game is may seem stale after you’ve done FSC a few million times but be creative, try a different playstyle, create your own minigame within the game (jelly soccer, anyone?) or set up new challenges and share these with others (!) but don’t wait for others to find this fun for you. Need help? Ask! Have an idea for an event or contest? Tell the GMs and if it’s feasible in scope, we’ll help to the best of our ability! Equally as important, be accepting to others too.

Here at Impervious, we don’t want to hold anyone back. If you feel our guild is not for you, we respect your decision to search elsewhere because there’s nothing more important then you having fun playing the game. Don’t ever hesitate to let us know before because we’re reasonable people and we’ll understand and never hold a grudge (plus, there’s always the friends list!). Do also consider what your own goals as well: Do you just play casually whenever you’ve got some time to kill? Or do you want to meet some good friends to share the game with? Here we try to provide both, but know it’s only possible with your help :)

(To current members: this is a reminder/suggestion/update post to let you know of our plan moving forward but also just something interesting to think about. If you have feedback or any suggestions, let us know as well as we’d like to hear it!)

Just to let everyone know, i wont be on as much due to school has started again. However, due to the amount of bad stuff going on (Such as refusing to go back due to the amount of bullying going on) i have been given a reduced timetable. Listed below:

Monday: 12:30PM to 4:00PM
Tuesday: 12:30PM to 4:00PM
Wednesday: 8:10AM/10:30AM to 12:35PM
Thursday: 8:10AM to 11:00AM
Friday: 8:10AM to 12:35 PM

This will go on till i leave school which is this year in June before we break up for the summer hoildays.

Gears Stars: I am full 5 star with a gunner, swordie and soon to be bomber set.

How often do you play?: I play everyday. Usually lockdown to waste my mist energy or FSC for some crowns.
I do the snarbolax every now and again to sell snarble barbs for profit. I can solo every boss including vana.
Timezone: I use GMT so +0:00 GMT

Do you enjoy Lockdown?: Yes. I love to play lockdown and play it regualry. I may not be the best but I do decently every match and on good days (i.e when I have little latency) I do consistently well. I enjoy playing Guild LD but there aren't many players in my guild who do this currently.

Why do you want to join Impervious?:
Because you are a more LD orientated guild who seem more active than my current guild. I wish to play more guild Lockdown and this that your guild will help me to do so. Also many of my friends are already in your guild so I wish to join and I believe that you have a nice community at Impervs.

arto is mad because he wasnt promoted and what he interpreted as a lack of "due respect" to him as a veteran. while he claims to be toting justice, the irony is that he is instead carrying malevolence and antagonism that is hardly warranted considering his original qualms (pretty far from justice actually). in short, nobody feed the troll; theres a lot better things to do including, but not limited to, staring at the wall or watching grass grow. you can also play SK happily. js *shrug*

Hello dudes and dudettes!

Considering the bumps and surprise turns of the last few weeks, we've got a pretty damn healthy treasury. As a result, I'd like to hold a lottery for everyone who donates this week to show my appreciation! It isn't much, but for every 4k Cr you donate, you'll get a chance to win 25k Cr funded by yours truly :P I'll run a random lottery at the end of this week's upkeep using a graphing calculator's random function. You'll be assigned a number based on when you donated, and if I can't meet you online to hyperbolize this to the extreme, I'll mail it to you with enough hearts to fill a Valentine's box. Aren't you EXCITED!? Oh, sorry if the coins smell...I did rip them off of dead bodies in the Clockworks.

How it's gonna work (a perfect excuse to let you know my new nicknames for people :D) -

Sim (Infinitesimality) donates 7,999 Cr.
Hum (Selecthumor) donates 12,000 Cr.
Bumbl-B (Bumbling) donates 3000 Cr.
Eggy (Eguias) donates 8,450 Cr.
Penix (Thephoenix) donates 10,000 Cr, and later donates an additional 20,000 Cr.
KB (Knightblood) donates 18,000 Cr.
^17 total tickets because only every 4k counts.

Sim qualifies for 1 ticket, and is assigned the number 1.

Hum qualifies for 3 tickets, and is assigned the numbers 2, 3 and 4.

Bumbl-b qualifies for 0 tickets, and I'll give him a heart-shaped cookie.

Eggy qualifies for 2 tickets, and is assigned the numbers 5 and 6.

Penix qualifies for 7 tickets, and is assigned the numbers 7, 8, 9 ,10, 11, 12 and 13.

KB qualifies for 4 tickets, and is assigned the numbers 14, 15, 16 and 17.

I enter 1 through 17 in a randomizer, and it picks the number. Now I know that some people might think its better to have a number somewhere in the middle, but this isn't a guess-the-closest-to or a standardized, multiple-choice test where C is the most probable answer (also how I won that prize from Viggo's event :D ). Using a randomizer, every number is theoretically just as likely to be selected, so don't mind what number you get. And no, you cannot trade numbers for your lucky number >.>

Which ever number is selected, the corresponding person will be the winner of the lottery! Do whatever you like with the prize money! Punch 80% of it in a vain attempt to get a good UV, buy a friend a 5* recipe, stockpile it, do whatever...except for one thing: If you donate it to a spamming beggar in the Guild Hall, I will never send you heart-shaped cookies. They will be shaped like lumps of coal for supporting terrorism >:O.

As you can see, Penix has a big chance to win the lottery, but he isn't guaranteed to win. Considering the last few weeks of donations, the lottery will have much wider amount of ticket holders but I hope this clarifies how it's going to work!
