Chapter 37
Maintenance part II
We run down the hall, a giant Blast Pod lays at the end of it, with the ground around it glitching. We arrive, and are met with a rain of cables reaching out to attack us. Lily and I go right and left, Prince standing in the middle. We each dodge our share of cables, one catches me by the shoulder, sending me to the ground. I see a cable rise up and shoot out at me, and I weakly roll out of the way. I get back up, holding my shoulder. It caught me by my sword/thorn arm. I wince as it painfully stops the bleeding, but doesn't heal. Lily finally lands a blow on the Blast Pod, and lets loose a burst of elemental energy. The shields go down, and we all run at it, attacking as best as we can, even though our piercing damage doesn't do much good. I backflip and the others follow suit, landing on teir feet as well. The shields go up, and we repeat the processes until it finally shuts down with a swoop from Prince's arm, which he formed to be covered with jelly-spikes.
As it falls down to the abyss, I turn to Prince. "Why do the Clockworks need maintenance, I thought it could work on it's own." he looks at me and looks at the floor and says, "Alice is dying...." I am shocked at what I hear. "Alice?! But she's survived all these years how could....how could that happen?" he just gives me a sad look.
"Let's go back to Sanctuary, until the Core calls us for another mission..." I bow my head, and Lily knowing I was too devasted to teleport us, she teleported all of us there. I am instantly healed in Sanctuary, and my thorns return to their red color. I walk over to the pool, drop my thorn and shield, and dip into the pool. I sulk in there and fall asleep....

Hidden Secrets
(Lily)
I sit in the pool, across from Seatus and Prince. "Seatus," I say, "do you figure the strange knowledge you get could come from traumatized memories? Because that might be it. Things you couldn't handle remembering?" I inquire, sinking deeper into the water to heal the cuts on my neck.
He replies, "I don't know. Why ask now?"
"Probably because you're obviously disturbed by the thought of forgetting such important things. Nor have you smiled un months. I could help you though..." he sits up at this information. "I can find about three memories."
"Do it, please," he says, "this anxiety has been horrible..." I wade over to him, and pull my arms tight on his waist as I lay my head on his chest. "Illuminate what has been darkened," I whisper.

(Seatus)
I convulse, and suddenly I am at the pool of the Structure. A smaller version of me stands on the steps of the Structure, with Father off to the side. I never knew my Father ever helped me with anything...
"Okay Son, try it..." Father says, nodding to the waters. I watch my smaller, uglier self look into the waters. "Activate," he whispers, and I see his reflection float out of the water, but this was a grotesque thing. It had gaping holes in it, and chunks of missing parts. The worst thing was that there was no blood. Nothing to hide it's horrible look...
I return to the present, after seeing my former self fall down the steps in terror. That must have been the concussion that made me forget...I hold Lily tight and sob. "That...thing! It was horrible Lily! Just horrible..." she holds me, and I pass out from overwhelmth...

Artwork!
I like the artwork of Seatus, however, I think he could use some more... dark colors. I understand he's been purified, so to speak, but it's a little bright. But other than that, great job on the latest chapter and that drawing! I can draw a little myself, but I'm absolutely horrible when it comes to hair, which is usually why I don't share anything I draw, haha.

Lol...well Seatus blocked that memory for a reason. It's very traumatic for him to think he might see his own dead self as he passes on. The only way for him to die though is to have kids ((at a certain age point)) and pass on his powers to them. Even if he has them he can still live forever, but they will only be weak :P
