@Thinslayer: Must have been the cheshire cat.
Gnight everybody.
Hey, I thought I'm the only one who brought Lewis Carrol here.
Wrong... Three Rings brought Lewis Carrol here (AKA: The Gloaming Wildwoods). Everything about that level screams "Alice In Wonderland" XD.
Anyway, story's looking good so far :). Just waiting for people to acknowledge Auger's greeting.
Unofficial proposal
Vaelyntine spotted a small, waving figure in the distance. "Hey guys, someone's waving to us!" She waved back, and ran over to meet it. It was a gremlin, dressed in the garb of a Stalker. She hesitated for a moment, but decided that he was friendly, and extended her hand in greeting. "I'm Vaelyntine! We just escaped some Hunters and one nasty-lookin' creature. Who are you, and why are you here?" Topoyozada and Raechal had caught up with Vaelyn, and offered their greetings as well [to be added by Knight-Of-Vanaduke].
[gremlin tells who he is and why he is here]
And as we all know the snarbolax is the Jabberwock. But besides that, Thin after that is that where Axis comes in and ushers them to Almire?
Almost. Amaranth also has to greet them before Axis leads them to Almire, where Thinslayer will tell them the cause and nature of their plight. He will also describe their primary foe, the Finder.
Top and Raechal chased Vaelyntine down a street, and when she finally stopped, he saw she was waving to some one. When they finally caught up with Vaelyntine, Top heard she was making introductions. He heard Vaelyntine say, "These two are-..." "Topoyozada and Raechal. And you might be?" Interuppted Top. "My name's Augur." Top nodded, "What do you want with us?" "I'm quite fond of channelers myself, and I'm not in the mood of hunting 'em." "So what do you want?" Top said quietly, hands glowing. He was preparing for a fight, when Raechal grabbed Top's arm. "Don't! He might help us!" She whispered. Top stared at her. "The girly's right. It's pretty dark now. Would you want shelter? I got a place." "We-" Top started to retort, when Vaelyntine interuppted, "That would be wonderful, Mr. Augur, sir." Augur grinned. "No need to call me Mister or sir, but follow me." and the party went off, following Augur to into either a trap or a safe haven, even if it's temporarily.
Auger is, for the most part homeless XD. If he had found out that they were Channelers, what Auger would've done was to offer his services to them, as an escort to wherever they were intending to go (in this case, Almire). If Auger's dialogue could be changed, that would be great.
By the way, good luck trying to decipher Auger's Gremlin Chatter XD. Thinslayer, tell me if I should keep it like this, or make Auger speak better Isoran.
Auger
One of the three figures had spotted the Gremlin, and raced up towards him. It was a female, Isoranoid being with wings "A Valkyrie..." Auger thought. She wore Angelic Raiments, and a Violet Chapeau. She examined the Gremlin closer, as if she was suspicious of something, before extending her hand in greeting.
"I'm Vaelyntine! We just escaped some Hunters and one nasty-lookin' creature. Who are you, and why are you here?" She asked. Auger was about to respond when the other two showed up. "These two are..." Vaelyntine continued. "Topoyozada and Raechal. And you might be?" One of the Isorans said ((NOTE: Knight-Of-Vanaduke never did say what top looked like XD. Oh well, we can edit that later))
"My name iz Auger." The Gremlin said in a raspy, accented version of Isoran language. "What do you want with us?" Topoyozada asked. "He's quite rude isn't he?" Auger thought. "I meen no harm." The Gremlin said, noticing the Isoran's hands start to glow. "They're definitely Channelers..." Auger thought.
"I am merzenary. I guard yoo for small price, if yoo interezted." He said. Auger was serious when he said small price, he knew that Channelers and Exiles were usually poor. "I know wat Channelerz arr. I helped zome befoor. I do not keel Channelerz." The Gremlin continued, trying desperately to gain their trust. He was completely aware however, that the language barrier between their races was not making things any simpler.
It was suppoused to be a cave full of weaponary and stuff......
Iris knew that she wasn't herself today, she haven't been able to do some of her 'little experiment' since last month due to her crisis of crown. However, she forced herself to continue reading even knowing that she couldn't.
"-Slightest effects of internal freezing would caaaaause oh my god I can't do this!" Iris screamed as she froze the book with her right hand, she then proceeded to throw it across the room resulting millions of ice shards scattered all over the wall. "If this keeps up, I won't hesitate to use my friends as an experiment!" Iris thought to herself as she stormed out of the room, the cold breezy wind touched her cheeks as she entered the Garden, a large open space with a small replica of Haven's fountain and an addition of decorative plants and flowers arranged neatly around the benches.
"What's wrong Iris?" a knight approached her, he was carrying a sleeping Wolver pup on his arm and could notice that it had grabbed the attention of Iris. "Before you think about anything, I won't allow it to be used for your personal hobby," the knight continued. "And I persume that you will be taking care of it?" Iris asked as she strokes the Wolver gently with her fingers, "Don't worry, I have no intentions of doing experiments with this little one... Maybe until it is older..."
The knight laughed and patted Iris' shoulder, "I'll take that as a warning... Oh and if you're that desperate, you can always get in contact with him..." he smiled and stroked the Wolver's head. "Who is this 'him' you mentioned?" Iris asked the knight.
"Auger, a mercenary who is reliable and always gets the job done... Luckily he is known for giving less charges for us Channelers, knowing our financial issues," the knight answered Iris, "Tell me Iris... You have financial issues yourself right?"
"One must first know their flaws before pointing at other's," Iris huffed and crossed her arms. "What?" the knight asked in confusion, Iris smiled and pointed at the knight's arm- which is now wet from the Wolver pup's pee. He let out a silent scream and rushed inside with an embarrassed look on his face.
"Auger..." Iris repeated the name, "Maybe he might find something interesting on his journey..."
With those words, Iris reached to her HUD link and sent Auger a message:
If you managed to find something interesting, or perhaps anything (preferably a fresh corpse). Bring it to me, I will be at the base for now.
-Channeler.
@Knight-Of-Vanaduke & Azure-Orbit: I'm gonna combine your proposals and check out the result.

"So what do you want?" Top pressed Auger. The boy's hands started to glow. Yep, they're definitely channelers... Auger thought. Raechal gently touched her brother's glowing hand. "Don't," she whispered, "he's trying to help us." Auger quickly responded, "It-it's preety daark now. The Almirian borderz aren't too farr away. We can find shelter there." Top was about to respond, but Vaelyntine beat him to it. "That would be lovely. Thank you!" Auger beckoned for them to follow, and led them towards Almire.
Second entry, sorry for the holdup and the length of it.
(Amaranth)
I put the back of my hand on to my forehead, seeing if I had Overheated. My skin was blazing hot. I start feeling a little tired... but I have to catch up with those people, I want them to be my friends...
I rummage around inside of my bag, but I can't find anything other than a bottle of expired medicine and a chunk of bread, the latter of which I eat to try to help the hunger pains I also had.
"Hey! Wait up!", I call out to the figures in the distance. I run a little faster, and I seem to get closer with each step. Within five minutes, my fever intensifies. I fall on the ground, panting and trying to catch my breath. It feels twenty times hotter than the summer night that it is. I knew I shouldn't have used my Channeling so much.
Raising my shaking hand towards the sky, I put my first and index finger together, creating a flare of white light with the last of my strength, which stays in the sky, and sends a shockwave throughout the area. I fall back down under the wildflowers and grasses, the Overheat getting to a point where I find my eyes being unable to stay open. My body relaxes as I drift off into a feverish sleep, breathing heavily.
I hope somebody can find me.
And that was when Iris saw it, a white flare in the sky... She could easily tell the difference of this one, this belongs to a Channeler. A distress signal? A trap? A I-am-here-catch-me? Iris thought to herself, "Whoever it is- That person must have did that to catch someone's attention..."
Without wasting time, Iris grabbed her Angelic Raiment and her Swift Flourish, she knew that combat might be inevitable- but saving lives is much more important than wasting them. She rushed outside the base, into the woods and into the prairie- where she found a girl laying unconscious on the grass.
"Oh dear..." Iris bit her lip, she rushed towards the girl and touched her forehead- She is suffering from a strong fever, perhaps from over using her channeling power. "It's okay, Iris is here to help you..."
Iris smiled and concentrated part of her channeling powers at the palm of her hand, she may not be an excellent healer but she knew that this will cool down the overheating. She touched the girl's forehead and transferred a weak wave of ice at her, "I guess this'll cool it down for now-"
Iris could feel presences, a presence of hostile people. She turned her head to see who it was- knights, pointing their guns and blades at them both.
"Found you... Freak!" one of them roared, "I'll kill you for what you did to me!" the knight pointed at his forehead- which has a large hole showing the contents of it.
"Alas, I knew that I should have stayed back at the base..." Iris sighed and aimed her right hand at the group of Hunters, "Tell me, did you know that Ice are eternal? Perhaps your corpse will be the first to show the prove!"
(( I have to go to sleep now... Please point out anything if I did wrong... :<))

If you're willing to do a bit of reading that is.
The Finder sighed, brushed back her hair, and entered through the open doorway. The guards marched outside and closed the doors. The Master rotated his throne to face the lady. "Good, I see you have received my telepathic call. Have you caught the exiled channelers?" The Finder looked down at her feet. "I...I...have not, my lord." The Master frowned. "Look me in the eyes." She looked into his eyes, and saw only coldness and anger. He continued. "Do you...know what happens when you fail?" Her knees began to quake, and she collaped on them and folded her hands. "Please...please my lord! Have mercy!" But he did not. He raised his arm, and she was forcibly transformed into the monster.
He brandished his whip. The monster whimpered, then gurgled and wept as it curled into a frightened fetal ball.
Soon, the hall was filled with the sounds of a cracking whip and the hideous screams of a hopeless, monstrous soul.
Zero
I scowled at the firing range. I had been aiming for the dummy's eyes, but got him in the neck. It was probably the worst shot I had fired in over a year. I turned on my com unit and searched through the radio stations for my favorite song- and pouted when "Rabies" by Justin Greaver started playing. I sighed, thinking of how easily the Channelers had slipped through my grasp. I nearly caught one in the head, but missed. I frowned; my killstreak was ruined.
Suddenly, a signal picked up on my com unit, interrupting my thoughts. "Zero, are you there?" it asked. I snarled. Oh great. Him again. I picked up the call and responded with a hiss, "Yes. What do you want, Enforcer Tyrell?"
"Hey. No need to be snappy, Zero. I actually think you'll smile when you hear this." The Enforcer replied. He seemed quite excited, and I didn't like it.
"Is that so?" I inquired. Tyrell said in an excited voice, "We've found a Channeler GOLD MINE." My eyes widened at the prospect, and i listened closer. "Yeah. That caught your attention, didn't it? Well anyway, we can't risk bringing the entire group of forty Morai, you'll end up being spotted right away."
I laughed. Apparently, Tyrell didn't know about Syphon's little... Anger problems. I cut him off, "Syphon's already taken care of that." I heard Tyrell start to say something, but he finally realized what Syphon had done. I casually inserted a new magazine into my Antigua and said to Tyrell, "Don't worry, I've got this." I smirked and announced to the group that we were going to Almire. And once we got there, blood would wet the steps of Vanaduke's kingdom. I smiled a sadistic grin, licking my lips and savoring the feeling of ripping through flesh.
The Hunt was back on.
The opening lines of this post are just beautiful. It successfully evokes an image of the location. It's a great way to start, Azure-Orbit.
This is a very strong, effective way to establish your character, Aekuryi. I liked Amaranth before I'd even finished reading it. It's a fabulous intro.
You've outdone yourself this time, Kaijuhunter. That's one of the most beautifully-detailed bit of story I've read thus far. I was almost speechless. This part in particular had me jaw-dropped: "...spit the lollipop out of my mouth, crushing it underfoot." That right there tells me everything I need to know about the character. Beautiful.
This is a delightfully vague intro for Lyra. It's a little hard to parse, but that seems to be the goal, and it's well-done.
Equinox evokes a lot of power in this post. I particularly like the detailed description of the Forest of the Dead.
You guys make awesome posts. Keep 'em coming! ;)
Since this is your universe, Thinslayer. Can you tell us about the scenery in between The Imperium and the Almirian border? Will it be plains all the way through, or will there be mountains and forests as well? Or will you just give us creative liberty?
And if I may make a suggestion to your story proposal of Auger and co. Why don't we say that Auger said: "Wee shud meyk camp in tha neerbai forezt. No won find uz ther." :). What do you think, Thinslayer and Knight-Of-Vanaduke? I think it would make more sense, seeing as two, hostile nations would probably be far away from each other, otherwise there would be constant war in the areas between them.
Oh and Thin, thanks for taking the time to compliment us (although I am very prone to typos when typing directly on the forums, as you may have noticed XD). It's nice to feel appreciated :D.
I was imagining the scenery to be relatively barren, with the Forest of the Dead to be the only sign of life anywhere nearby. Realistically, it may be mountainous & rocky territory, making expansion there difficult, and the mountains providing a barrier against direct military confrontation.
Does Auger's accent resemble German?
And you're welcome! I recognize that a lot of effort goes into making these quality posts for relatively little reward. I just wanted you guys to know that I was enjoying our story. :)
Wow, thanks for the compliment, Thin. I feel all fuzzy inside now :3
(Equinox)
I pull the girl across the bridge of roots and into the Forest of the Dead. I lead her to the boulder and lift it up, ushering her in, "Stay in there in case the creature gives chase." I lay the boulder back down over the tunnel. I climb atop it, and stretch out my palms, pulling energy back into myself to be prepared. The petals fall calmly from the trees and sunlight streams through the leaves and flowers from the treetops. It would all be beautiful if not for the constant reminder these plants thrive on death.
I gasp in surprise as I see the petals form into a Valkrie-like figure.
"Hello, madame. What brings you to my humble home." I bow slightly, showing my respect. "I have come to warn you. In three days time a group of impure beings will enter this place. They know of your location. Go to Almire, and find Sanctuary there. Once you get there tell Lord Vanaduke this for me; Eden is returning. Once you tell him those words, stay in Almire until I inform you otherwise. Take the girl with you. She will also need protection. I need you to tell Lord Vanaduke another thing; The Nether Realm has opened. Good Luck Equinox." She turns her head to the skies, and the petals fall from her to the ground.
I stand there in silence before I come to my senses and lift up the boulder and walk inside. "I hate to tell you this, but we are going to have to leave soon. I will cook you some dinner." I move over to the fire, and at the center a Shadow Steel plate sits with hunks of Wolver meat on it.
"It's almost ready," I smile. "You and I are heading to Almire. Unless, of course, you seek sanctuary here. But there are people heading towards here, and it's no longer safe."
((Can we assume that the Sanctuary has disappeared from the Clockworks, and a barren land is where it once was? Also, this isn't the end of the Forest of the Dead. Equinox will have to return....))
I would like to have everyone re-avert themselves to Return to Cradle eventually, because as it is, the forum so far has been dropped from a mountain and killed off, because none of us have posted for a while over there.
I would suggest that once we make a post on either forum, we go and post again on the other.
The Sanctuary is still in the Core, a long ways away (at the center of the planet!) from the surface. The Core is 100% pure of any corruption, but...well, let's just say it came at a cost.
I have a problem: the Chapter divisions of the story aren't working for me. I never know where to put new additions to the story. Lately, I've kinda been sorting them by character, but it results in a disjointed story. Does anyone have recommendations for me? I can't update the Story Thread very much until this is sorted out.
@Liminori: We kinda know how the story will end. Ikaros beats Diablo, blah...it's pretty obvious. Valentine is just gonna have to suck it up, Trivoc is gonna be oh-so-proud of his girlfriend, Kirito and Chappers will be all peachy now, and Thanatos and Atropos will repent of their misdeeds. Personally, I don't feel like anything I write will be valued or considered. I'm sure everyone else feels the same way.
I'm not so sure if I would call Auger's accent German... Just think of it as a raspy voice with growls, along with strong "R's" and his "S" is replaced with "Z". He also makes the occasional "Gremlin sound" you hear when talking to Gremlin NPC's in-game, or fighting them in the depths.
@Liminori: Well, my character in RtC is KO'ed, and my other character can't do much of anything other than heal (which I've specified to Gzilla, he can use to continued Axis' (in RtC) storyline). So, I'm really just waiting on Kaijuhunter and the others to make something happen. I'll probably post once the story reaches the Denouement stage.
Although if possible, I'd like to write an epilogue for RtC once it ends. The other roleplay I ran never got that far, and I'd like to see how the characters react to it's ending :). Something just doesn't feel right to me about leaving a story hanging like that, even if the ending can already be deduced, you know?
@Thinslayer: What if we put the protagonists POV in one part of the chapter, and the antagonists in a 2nd part. That is, if you want to keep everyone's POV in the story. Alternatively, you could write it from a Third-Person Omniscient POV. It will require a lot of extra work (such as reading all the proposals and then putting the events together, while leaving out certain details that might derail the narration (ie. If you want to write the story starting from Top and Vaelyntine's POV, you may need to leave out Auger's entrance). Another suggestion is to, still keep writing in Third-Person Omniscient, but make a ONE chapter for each group of players that are together. Then, each character will have their own chapter if they are alone.
The current style isn't so bad though. Have you heard about the old books "Noli Mi Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo"? Each chapter of that book focuses on a single character, and then changes to the Third-person POV of a different character on the next chapter. Of course, the scenes were much longer in that book.
So my final suggestion would be... Each character gets a chapter for their own (ie. 1st Chapter belongs to Vaelyntine, Top, and Raech. Then 2nd Chapter goes to Auger. And then the next one to Syphon.) Once all the character's have their own chapter, the cycle will return to Vaelyntine's POV in the following chapter. Then, each character's chapter will be edited, until they reach the end of their scene (Example: Auger's first chapter ends after they begin the journey to Almire. Vaelyntine and co. can also end their first chapter there.). Each char's 2nd chapter can then begin in the same cycle as before. However, you can interchange this if you want to, Thin. In whatever way you believe will be best for story-structure.
EDIT:Another thing to note, is that whenever an action done by a certain character has already been specified in a chapter that includes the, it doesn't need to be repeated in other chapters. Just put the action in whatever chapter seems most fitting.
Auger
"Thee border iz not faar frum heer. If wee trravel now, wee be ther beefoor zunrize." Auger told them. While the group walked through the plains, they suddenly felt a shockwave ripple through the earth beneath them, shaking the grass and themselves. "What was that?" Auger thought. The Gremlin turned around and saw a white flare shoot up in the sky. "A Channeler Flare? What is that Channeler thinking? He'll have the entire Imperial Army on him within the hour..." Auger thought as he began heading back. With Vaelyntine and the others following suit.
The Gremlin spotted two female Isorans, one on the ground, wearing a purple Dusker coat and Kat Eye hood, and the other, wearing an Angelic Raiment and glasses, forming an ice ball in her hands. They were surrounded by Imperial Strikers, brandishing Punch Guns and Hatchets. Auger thought it was time to intervene.
The Gremlin drew his Winmillion blade, and launched several energy knives at the group of Strikers. One of them was hit in the eye. "ARGH!" He screeched as he knelt to the ground, clutching his wound. The other 2 knives missed however. "Herlp me!" Auger told Vaelyntine, Top, and Raechal as he activated his cloak and prepared to move in on the Imperial soldiers.
((@Thin Are you saying Sanctuary disappeared INTO the Core? Because that could add flavor to the words of my stories))
I always thought the Sanctuary was a part of the Core. But it's an interesting idea for it to have once been outside the Core and disappeared to the inside.
Time for some fighting.
----------------------------------------------
Top still didn't trust Augur. He slipped a dagger into Raechal's hand when he and Vaelyntine wasn't looking. Much as he liked Vaelyntine, he didn't trust her either way. "When I tell you to run, run." He whispered to Raechal, and she nodded once. I was about to stab Augur with my own dagger when the Gremlin got a blade out, and assaulted some Imperium soldiers. "Help me!" Augur cried, and the next second, he disappeared from view. [Well, that leaves me, Vaelyntine and Raechal. Damn it.] Top threw some fireballs, and barked at Vaelyntine, "Take care of my sister!" Top charged into battle, dagger in one hand, my flaming hand in the other.... well, hand. he set the ground on fire, and the the Strikers stumbled back, scared. He emerged from the flames, shooting fireballs at everyone hostile. He grinned, took one step at the last standing Striker, and fell down, shivering. [Damn...... I overused by powers.....] I look up into the barrel of a pummel gun, and everything goes black.
"Friend or foe?" Iris rushed towards the Gremlin, she formed a visible blue arc from her right hand creating an Ice barrier which deflected the incoming attacks, "Friend..." Unfortunately, one of the knives pierced through the ice and hit the gremlin in his eye. "Herlp me!" he spoke in an unusual accent as he clutched his eye, the Gremlin then activated his cloak and disappeared, moving closer to the hunters.
"H-hey! Where are you?" Iris looked around to find the Gremlin who had disappeared earlier, "This is so not my day!" she continued while placing the palm of her hand at the ground, summoning three ice pillars which caught some of the Hunters. Iris leapt to the air and tumbled down next to the girl she helped before, "Wake up! This is no time to sleep!"
"Caught you!" one of the hunters grinned as he brought down his blade at Iris, leaving a long but thin cut on her back. Iris screamed in pain and fell to the ground, the hunter grabbed her neck and proceeded to strangle her. "H-help!" Iris gagged as she tried to free herself from the string grip, she knew that she was a powerful Channeler. But when it comes to physical contact- she is as fragile as Ice.
"This is why I should've stayed at the base..."
((I agreed on what Azure is recommending! And will the Exile's base be attacked? We will soon find out about it...))
I've edited it so that the knife hits Auger in the shoulder instead. Eyes are kinda hard to repair.
Also, I've edited the story thread, adding everyone's stories thus far. Man, that was hard work...
To list the suggestions in a more readable fashion:
*Protagonists 1st part of chapter, antagonists 2nd part of chapter
*One chapter for each group of players
*Each character gets a chapter
--no need to recap in subsequent entries
I like the last one best, but it will require a lot of recapping. I've been trying to create a cohesive story, but I'm forgetting that this is a roleplay at its essence; roleplays don't lend themselves well to cohesive storytelling. We'll just have to work around it.
I'll be doing some major editing of the story thread now. :P
By the way, any opinions on the exchange between the Finder and the Master?
In Auger's latest entry, he states that he saw Amarantg with her Kat Hood on. However, this is inaccurate, as in Amaranth's first entry, she put her hood in her coat pocket. So she no longer has her hood on, and looks like a girl with short, white hair.
Just wanted to point that out before anyone else noticed :3
Also, thanks for the positive feedback, Thinslayer :D
Alsoalso, I think it's really interesting and mysterious how there's a being higher than the Finder. So that brings up the question... who exactly is he?
You're welcome! Also, I have edited a solution to the noted problem. Thanks for pointing it out.
Good question about the Master: who is he? Does he rule the Imperium? Does he serve it? Is he trying to subvert it? I suppose we shall have to find out! >:D
Hey everyone, I have rearranged the Story Thread, and have made a few other minor edits to the stories. Please proofread it; there are some plot holes in some characters' stories, so please propose additions to fill them up.
Thanks!
((it isnt that Master is it? My lore causes so many s***storms XD waiting on Liminori =3))
From what little I know of the Master in your lore, he controls the Swarm, commands the shadow Valkyries, and is the dark opposite of the Core. If we remove everything supernatural about him (i.e., being Satan)...
heh heh...
ah...
yeah...
He's here. O.O
If what I read about him in the Owlite Keep is true then.....

WE'RE ALL GOING TO F***ING DIIIIIIIIIE!!!! D':
Unofficial proposal
She awoke to find that she'd been teleported to the border of Almire. Why did the Master teleport me here? She soon got her answer: several familiar figures were coming towards her. Three of them she recognized as Topoyozada, Raechal, and Vaelyntine. But there were three others she didn't recognize. One was a gremlin. She donned her cloak and hood and approached them, knowing (or at least, hoping) that they wouldn't recognize her.
"Hi, I seem to have lost my way. Where am I, exactly?"
They were all struck by her beauty. Top had to look her over for a moment before replying. Something about her was vaguely familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
End of proposal
Has anyone noticed that there are only two males in the party of six, and only one of these males is Isoran? I think Thinslayer ought to join their party once they leave Almire, just to give them a much-needed male presence. xD
I follow the strange figure to a boulder which he abruptly pushes aside. "Stay in there in case the creature gives chase."
(Noting this, Three days= quite a few posts. "I have come to warn you. In three days time a group of impure beings will enter this place.")
I look around the room and see some supplies gotten over the days while wondering {Can I trust him? Well, I'll just have to see for myself}
"I hate to tell you this, but we are going to have to leave soon. I will cook you some dinner."
"It's almost ready. You and I are heading to Almire. Unless, of course, you seek sanctuary here. But there are people heading towards here, and it's no longer safe."
"Well, I wasn't exactly planning to stay here, and I was mainly going through to see if I could manage to head to the same place as a few channelers I saw. By the way, may I ask who you are?" "Ah, how rude of me, my name is Equinox. As for the location, they are probably headed in the same direction."
Also, has anyone seen the last post in RTC?
There have been a couple new posts in RtC. I've seen them. :)
Alternate unofficial proposal
She awoke to find that she'd been teleported to the Forest of the Dead. Why did the Master teleport me here? Her own question was soon answered when she noticed a tall Stranger entering a cavern with an Isoran. Curious... She hid behind a large tree and watched. Just then, a small pack of wolvers had sniffed her out and were growling at her. Drat! They're going to give me away! She shot a spray of barbs at them, killing them all in one fell swoop. Unfortunately, the commotion had attracted the attention of the Stranger, who had stepped outside. Now out in the open, her eyes met those of the Stranger.
She hoped he didn't recognize her. If he did, she could be in trouble - he was one of the few Channelers capable of challenging her.
End of alternate unofficial proposal
Did Auger get stabbed with his own energy knife? How? And the official chapters of Auger and Iris are contradicting:
Auger's POV: He hits one of the Strikers, but misses the other two
Iris' POV: She deflects all of Auger's knives and stabs the Gremlin in the shoulder with it.
So... which timeline of events are we following?
Auger's looks more realistic. We can combine them:
Auger hit a striker but missed the other two because Iris deflected his daggers, and then stabbed him in the shoulder.
I found your addition to be very engaging! I shall update the story at the nearest opportunity.
((Oh dear, it seems that it was my fault... I thougt that the knives were the ones which hit Auger... Anyhow, yes, I actually meant that Iris was helping Auger... Not the knights ._.
Sorry about that... Can you please edit it Thin?))
Yep, I'll edit it at the nearest opportunity. It's on my to-do list. ;)
Got any opinions on either of my story proposals?
It might be better if The Finder went first to the Forest of The Dead, instead of straight to Almire. It'll give opportunity for character development for her and Equinox and Alice.
I was leaning towards her coming to Almire (for certai unstated plot purposes), but you make a good case for the other option. I think I'll stick with her going to the Forest, as you advised. Thanks!
Any ideas on how she should approach it? She will either 1) try to win their trust/friendship or 2) assault them right off the bat. Option 1 allows for greater development of Alice's and Equinox's characters, but option 2 establishes the Finder's character a little better, and is faster to resolve.
@Vinnydime: I've posted your story to Chapter 3. I'll proof-read it later. I think it's worth spending a few chapters introducing the characters before really cracking down on having a unified story.
But I *do* want a unified story. We need to work towards that.
@Knight-Of-Vanaduke: lol yep. :D
@Liminori: I can't tell you yet whether this is on Cradle. >:D But I've put Alice back in the list. Her disappearance is weird.
