I don't think Diyu will be very acknowledged during this RP, nor will Nathaniel unless his abilities are toned down and some attractive qualities appear (aka a wonderful personality :D) Can't wait for Diyu to meet up with Gwen...I always mean for my characters to connect with others, but then I chicken out because the hipster locked within me screams, "DON'T BE MAINSTREAM!!!" And then I'm trippin balls and I get confused and make stupid OOC choices, and to make it worse Diyu has a dark symbol for an eye and his name means hell in chinese and.....

"Wow. I'm really hungry,"I muttered, weary from my last mission. "Basil's cafe would be a really nice place to go grab some steak,"I spoke, my voice trailing off. Leaning against a wall, my eyes started to close from weariness. However, a voice near me startled me, thus ending what was to be a good nap. "So... Anyone wanna go to Basil's café? It's on me!"spoke the voice. It sounded much like a girl's, and instantly I thought of makeup and costumes. As I had suspected, the voice came from a girl. But she was followed by two others. Being the hungry person I was then, I didn't mind if they went to Basil's Cafe. I was really hungry, since I did not have breakfast. So, I slowly made my way to Basil's Cafe.

As I entered the Cafe, the sounds of chatter and laughter slowly faded as the door closed behind me. The Cafe was about the size of the advanced training hall, bright except for where a shade of darkness shrouded a door that led to the chef's kitchen. The tables were aligned in military-looking lines, and quickly, I grabbed a seat to the table closest to me. Then THEY came in, presumably to get food, as everyone did when they entered this store. I sighed as I started to order.

I walk into the cafe and see the place filled up except for four empty seats at a table a Knight was sitting at. I walk over and rub my shoulder awkwardly and say quietly. "Is this...uh...seat taken?" I ask, looking to the door to leave if things got awkward...but I remind myself my mask on my *eye* is on...so I really shouldn't be afraid....

I can't speak for Kaijuhunter, but the reason I offered a proposal to change your character was because he was overpowered. Your character violates the following rules:

1. No godmoding, please.
Your character's powers are god-mode. You need an acceptable alternative.

6. Do not make your character perfect...play as a flawed character. It makes both the story and character interesting.
You character does not appear to have any flaws, per se. Lack of a shield doesn't quite cut it.

8. ...you characters start with a MAXIMUM of 3* level gear.
You started with 5*.

I was about to strike up a conversation with Gwen when a large dark figure fell on top of me. An "Oomf!" escaped from my mouth as i tried to push the boy off. I frowned and asked Gwen, "Do people normally fall from the sky these days? I've been in the Clockworks for two months and I just got back." Gwen {chuckled. "The first generation did," she pointed out. We} shrugged and watched as she started to set the guy's wounds. I pulled a pack of crackers out of my pocket and proceeded to munch on it. Gwen and I knelt over the boy, waiting for him to regain consciousness.

A few minutes later, the boy woke up and flushed furiously, obviously surprised to see two teenage girls hovering over him with concern. He quickly stood up and dusted himself off. I waved at him in greeting. After an awkward moment of silence, he held out his hand, and I noticed he had wings. [Every boy I meet is weird in some sort of way] I thought. He smiled politely at us and said, "I don't think we have introduced ourselves. I am Archemiday, the angel of Palutena! And you are?" I nodded to him formally and replied, "My name's Sayaka Eishiro, but you can call me Saya. All my friends do." {Gwen ducked between her shoulders and smiled shyly. "I'm Gwen. Hi!" she said with a little wave.} Archemiday bowed dramatically and said, "Pleased to make your acquaintance, ladies." I nodded and went back to my cracker, nibbling on it furiously.

Finally, I asked, "So... Anyone wanna go to Basil's café? It's on me!"

Sakaya asked, "So...anyone wanna go to Basil's Cafe? It's on me!" Gwen looked at the cafe, then back at Sakaya and nodded. They entered and took a seat, and a waitress took their orders. Gwen ordered a Blaze Pepper soup. While they waited, a blond-haired boy meandered into the cafe. Gwen watched him with interest; he was unusually handsome, and moved with uncommon grace. He found a table next to them (right behind Gwen) and swiftly took a seat. As the waitress took his order, he seemed a tad anxious upon the arrival of a few well-dressed men.

Whatever happened next, it was going to get interesting. She kept her eye on them as another waitress served her soup.

Wow, that was quick service! She took a bite of the soup. *wet sniff* *gasp* Very spicy! Just the way I like it.

His special attacks have substantial amounts of end lag to them, meaning that he will be very vulnerable for some time after the attack.

He's dropped the cutter line. Oh, and here's a fun fact: His attacks are quite weak at the start. But the more damage he takes, the more powerful he becomes.

Skills(redone)
Light:
Light Pillar-
Summons a pillar of light(8 feet or so in height, 25 inches in width) that revolves around him. For it to be created, he must first plunge his sword into the ground, kneel down, and stand up. For it to be shot at, he must raise his holy sword and point it in the direction that he wants it to be shot at. After the pillar moves in the direction he wants it to(it can only move in One Direction), he will be completely vulnerable to other attacks until the pillar hits something.

Holy Sword, I summon thee!-
Summons a Holy Sword that materializes in midair. He wields that sword. It becomes more powerful through friendship and love and stuff like that.

Darkness:
Teleport-
Teleports a short distance(between 1-5 ft). It compensates for his lack of speed. It takes up a lot of energy to use. If there were mana in Spiral Knights, it would take 20/100 of his mana. Also, his teleports will become quite easy to predict after a while, as he can only teleport forwards, backwards, to the left and to the right.

Chaos Blade, I summon thee!-
Summons a blade made of darkness that materializes in midair. He wields this along with his Holy Sword. This sword becomes more powerful through hate and anger and stuff like that.

Passive:
Lucario Style-
The more damage is on him, the more powerful he becomes. If he reaches, say 1/5 of his health, his skills will become more powerful, as shown below. But if someone heals him, he will not be able to use those enhanced skills below unless his health is reduced to a small amount.

Skills(When on very low health; eg: 1/5)
Light:

These are all the skills he has. Redone. But you didn't expect that Lucario-like mechanic, now did you? :P These swords can't one-hit kill people, by the way. They're like normal swords, except they have unique mechanics that make them stronger than average, but not god-level.

"I'll have the roasted wolver, thank you very much."I spoke, handing the waiter the menu. Looking to the right, I gazed a silver-haired girl, who seemed exceptionally beautiful, sitting next to another girl and a guy. I noticed that the silver-haired girl was looking at me, and so I quickly looked away, due to my shyness. But soon enough, the members of THAT organization spotted me, and I knew I would have to fight my way out of this, ending it in at least one casualty. "Alright. We'll give you one last chance, or you'll be iced."spoke the first man, moustache and beard covering most of his mouth. "What if I don't follow you?"I menacingly replied. "What then? Will you freeze me, in front of all these people?" This argument seemed to grab a great quantity of attention, and soon the people currently residing in the cafe formed a circle around us. "Joe, go get him,"ordered the second man. Joe, the third man in the group, was holding a hail driver, made stronger with the help of nuclear technology. "Oh. So you really ARE going to 'ice' me,"I sneered. Feeling adrenaline pumping through me, I summoned both my swords in unison. Joe then instinctively reacted, and shot his first bullet at me. I made my way to the right as I ducked under it, but it grazed my left shoulder, and sure enough, the top part of my shoulder it was frozen. I jumped into the air and slashed at his right shoulder with my Holy Sword, turned around as I landed on the ground, and stabbed him in the heart with my Chaos Blade, thus killing him. His blood splattered messily across the checkered floor as I pulled my blade out of his heart. The audience was awestruck, their faces giving off a "we've gotta tell the spiral order about this" expression. I unsummoned my blades, and ran out of the cafe, looking only once back at the beautiful girl I met.

Saya asked if we wanted to go to basil's cafe. "Sure, you have time. Just don't forget about your blood issue'. Paluntena answered my question before I asked. As I walked with the two ladies, I started to notice their beauty. I was thinking about saying something to say, but figured she got hit on too much. I thought of a question to ask Paluntena. "Hey, what has happened since I've been gone?". "besides what you know, technology has advanced as well as combat. Oh, you look like a lunatic now to those girls.". "What? How do I?". I looked at the girls. They were looking at me oddly. I facepalmed. "Don't worry about it...". I mumbled as we entered the cafe. "Do you have any mana?". I asked the waitress. By the way she looked at me it was obvious that she didn't know what that was. "I'll just take the love puppy pancakes. Maple syrup and milk.". The waitress went for a few minutes and brought our food. I was starving for some real food! I did my best to be polite, but I probably ate it more savagely than a wolver. Eventually, someone got up, slashed someone with a sword, and left. What... Just... Happened?

Beginning of proposal

The young man ordered roasted wolver. Gwen caught him gazing at her out of the corner of her eye, and he shyly looked away. Then, the well-dressed men who'd entered the cafe walked up to the young man and assailed him. One of them said, "Alright. We'll give you one last chance, or you'll be iced." The young man answered menacingly, "What if I don't follow you? What then? Will you freeze me in front of all these people?" The other well-dressed man said, "Joe, get him." The third man in the group brandished a Cryotech Alchemer and pointed it at the young man, who sneered, "Oh, so you really are going to ice me!"

He summoned two swords out of thin air, and Joe instinctively fired off his alchemer, freezing the young man's left shoulder. The man somersaulted over Joe and cut his shoulder, then stabbed him through the heart when he landed. With the bloody mess he'd created, there was no way he could stay in the cafe and act normally, so he put away his swords and ran out the cafe. His eye caught Gwen's before he disappeared around the corner.

Not wanting to miss her chance to befriend him, she abandoned her soup and raced after him. She spotted him around the corner, and called out to him, "Wait! Let me come with you!"

Why?? I'm still keeping an eye on Diyu to determine when is the best time to interact with him. I was initially inclined to have Gwen help him out with the wolvers, but I couldn't find a seamless way to integrate it into the story.

You seem to have a recurring problem of not making it easy for other characters to join yours. You kept Seatus the Snarbolax, for instance, buried in the Sanctuary where nobody traveled until much later in the story. Equinox spoke only with himself for the first half of his story, so there was no reason for others to speak to him. Diyu is traveling his own path, and only notices other characters in passing.

Your characters have a pattern of lone-wolfing everything. You need to get out of that rut and join us sometime.

Plus, Diyu is well known around Haven. Not popular in a good sense, but a bad sense, like Dracula. Just completely cut off from anyone for their fears of him. I feel I am the only one keeping this story logical in the sense of characteristics.

She also failed to acknowledge Sakaya and Archimeday in the last post, too, and for the same reason.

Also, this is the discussion thread. If you have any objections at all about what is proposed, speak about it, or forever hold your peace. If you say nothing, I will assume you are fine with it. The whole point of this thread is to avoid problems like the one you're complaining about. USE THIS THREAD, for goodness sakes! If you feel that you were ignored, say something about it ASAP and offer a correction of some kind.

Geez, what can I say to convince you people to use the discussion thread for its intended purpose!?

Not very soon, two of her friends came, and looked lost for words. I gently pushed the silver-haired girl away from me as they started to interrogate us.

Proposal start

The young man had heard her, and he stopped to address her. "You have no idea what evil you'll have to face if you follow me. Plus, it'd be too dangerous for someone like you, with no special abilities, to go try and defeat Vog." Gwen grinned and crossed her arms. "A 'girl like me?' 'No special abilities?' What do you take me for, a ditz? I can help you defeat Vog. I'm coming whether you like it or not." She laughed, then added, "Besides, I think you're bluffing; why would Vog send well-dressed thugs to kill you when he could easily do it himself?"

Proposal end

So, as promised, here's the proposed overall plot. Gwen follows Nate on his adventures for a bit and falls in love with him, then gets kidnapped by Spiral thugs and coerced into finding Diyu/Archimeday with intent to kill him. But she falls in love with Diyu/Arhimeday too, and can't kill him, but he finds out about the plot and abandons her to die by the Swarm. But unbeknownst to him, she survives. He later finds out that she was also in love with Nate, and the two men fight, but then they find out that the Order is to blame for Gwen's apparent betrayal.

Ah, i have the solution, Gzilla.

Sooo heres an idea. Im just adding on. There's a gang, rival to the Pack, known as the Fangs of Vog. They are the equivalent of what devout Christians would call "pagans", sort of like a cult. They're working with the Spiral Order to revive Vog, which Ultima just said in the above post. But here's a twist; Vog used to be a good leader, a pure soul and the original ruler of Cradle, not the evil creature that Ultima made him out to be. After Vog's death, the Monsters divided into their separate factions and spread chaos. Now, the Order, believing in military power, thinks they can harness the Volcanic Wolver's energy and use it to decimate the Monsters. But- yes, there is a but- the only way they can do so is to use the power of the Swarm. The Fangs of Vog and Spiral Order successfully revive the Wolver, but because of the Swarm's impurity, Vog goes berserk. And that is when the real problems start.

I'm planning to have everyone eventually come together to defeat Vog, even Hotaru and Axis, seeing as how their gang is rivals with the Fangs. Criticques, please?

I led my new friends through the ugly, derelict streets and turned up on Gun Puppy Boulevard. I smiled up at the stately white building in front of me and poked its sign; a banner that featured Basil the Stranger grinning and holding a pancake, wearing a "Pay the Chef" apron. Spelled in bold, light blue block letters was "Basil's Café". I loved this place; it was one of the only places I liked on this Vogforsaken planet. I slowly opened the door, then ushered Gwen and Archemiday inside the café. Inhaling the fresh smell of coffee and brunch, I followed them in.

A familiar figure that stood at about 10 feet high, much taller than any Isoran, came over to me and held out his fist. "Saya!" Basil bellowed in his rich, baritone voice. I grinned and fist pumped him, replying, "How ya been, Basil?" The Stranger laughed heartily and said, "Same old, same old. Have a seat!" then gestured to a large table. I smiled and slid into the booth, followed by Gwen and Arch. Basil shouted, "Karen, get over here!" and waved over one of the waitresses. Karen, a young brunette girl of about 20 years old, came over and nodded. "What can I get you?" Gwen inspected the menu with her brows furrowed and finally announced, "I'll have the Blaze Pepper Broth, please." Karen smiled, "Ooh, good choice." and scribbled down the note on a pad. "And you?" she turned to Archemiday. The boy nervously asked, "Do you have any mana?" Karen's brow went up questioningly, and I mouthed to her, "He's not from around here..." and a look of understanding spread on Karen's face. "Tourists... I hate tourists..." She muttered irritatedly.

Arch sighed and looked at the menu, then said, "I'll just take the love puppy pancakes. Maple syrup and milk.". Karen nodded and turned to me. "The usual?" She asked. I smiled and said, "Not too much salt, remember that." Karen laughed and went to the kitchen to give the chef our orders. I caught Gwen staring at something and followed her gaze to a regal-looking blond boy. I watched as he quickly took a seat behind us and relayed his order to another waitress. "So, handsome boy, huh?" I joked. Gwen blushed like a Heart Pad and was saved from having to answer when Basil danced to our table, presenting our meals with regal grace. He set down Gwen's soup, Arch's pancakes, and my delectable, divine, delicious, scrumptious, oh-so-crunchy, chewy Wolver Bacon in front of me. I stuffed my face with the food and blushed; I probably didn't seem to be the most ladylike girl at the moment. Suddenly, a news bulletin flashed on the TV screen by the bar. I caught a glimpse of the Pack, a ruthless gang of mercenaries, being tailed by Spiralian Enforcers. My expression soured as I saw my brother Hotaru among the ranks of the mercenaries. It was something i never liked to talk about; i didn't exactly relish the fact that my brother is part of a group that wants to destroy the Order. I sighed, but that was when THEY came in. The only gang that could rival the Pack. I stared into the soulless black eyes of three members of Cradle's most feared gang; three members of the Fangs of Vog stood before me.

I watched in awe as the boy Gwen was admiring suddenly stood up and singlehandedly defeated the Fangs. It was impressive, but judging from the fire burns on their arms- only two were there - these were mere grunts, new initiates. I sighed as Gwen suddenly raced after the boy, asking to let her come. [So... Love at first sight?] I snickered at my thought and stood up from my seat. Grabbing a last piece of bacon and gnawing on it, I waved for Arch to follow me. "Come on, let's see what's gotten into her." The angel nodded and raced after Gwen and the newcomer, with me right on his heels. I stopped for a moment and shoved four thousand crowns into Basil's hand; twice what the price usually was. He gave me a puzzled look and I explained, "My compliments to the chef- to you, bro." The Stranger grinned and fist-pumped me, and I was back on Gwen's trail.

Arch and I crept around the corner and spotted them: Gwen looked upset and was crossing her arms. I caught snippets such as "A 'girl like me?', 'No special abilities?', and 'Defeat Vog'." My eyes widened in fear; Vog had been dead for millenia, and if he was back, why would this guy want to kill him?! I had heard stories of the Wolver's kindness and compassion, and here this idiot was, wanting to 'defeat' the poor creature! I growled and stormed in, Arch close behind. I frowned as the boy said, "But I'll let you follow me. Just know that this might be the last time you will ever see your friends again." I shook my head like a girl from the slums and said in a butchered accent, "Aww heeeell no, you ain't going anywhere without us, girl!" I saw the boy scowl; obviously, this is not how he wanted his day to go. Well, tough luck. He sighed and said, "Fine. But only us four. No one else." A grin spread across my face; maybe I'd have fun on this little adventure we would apparently be going on.

"Fine by me!"

Ooh, an even better idea...

Maybe Nathaniel should fall for Sakaya at first. Gwen keeps trying to get his attentions, but he's not nearly as interested in her. So he and Arch will be rivals for Sakaya's attention, leaving Gwen alone in the dust. After Nate abandons her, he (hopefully) begins to realize what he lost. He and Arch make up and become friends, and the three of them (Nate, Arch, & Saya) take on the corruption in the Order together.

Gwen will reappear at an unrevealed point. :)

"Vogdammit..." I muttered as I stared down at the mutilated bodies outside Basil's Café. I was on lunch break, so naturally I came to the best restaurant in town. Little did I know that what I would find there was perhaps the greatest threat to the Pack ever to exist. I inspected the singular, long burn marks that ran down the corpses' arms; these were rookies to the Fangs. But that in and of itself was startling. After an underground war between us mercenaries and the Fangs' cult was settled with the burning of their temple to Vog, said Fangs went back into hiding. I thought we never had to deal with them again. The fact that they were still at large surprised me; the discovery that their numbers were growing was even more startling, and, dare I say it, frightening. I had to get to the bottom fot his and solve the problem before it escalated.

Kicking a recruit's body to the side, I inspected his coat pocket and unfolded a small piece of parchment. Scrawled on it was a message... In Gremlin. No biggie. I whipped out a translator device and scanned the words. What I saw was horrifying. The Fangs were planning to resurrect Vog himself. Normally, I wouldn't care, but I knew that the only way to revive a creature that has been dead so long is to venture into the Unknown Passages, take a secret passage and reach the heart of the Swarm, and finally use it's dark power to resurrect the subject. I had experienced the Swarm's madness before; if the almighty Vog was infected with such insanity... He could pose a threat to all of Cradle, to the Fangs, and most importantly, a threat to my baby sister. I sighed as I remembered how we used to play with each other; that was gone now, shaking the thoughts from my mind, I tapped into the Pack's reserved radio frequency and called out to Axis.

I scowled as the boss hissed, "What is it, Hotaru? Hurry up with your lunch break, we have important crap to take care of." I growled. Even Axis wouldn't dare act so high and mighty after I gave him these news. Glaring down at the corpses, I whispered, "It's THEM, Axis." A shiver went down my spine as i continued,

"The Fangs of Vog have returned.."

Edit; nice idea, Thin. Since Sayaka doesn't really think of boys the way Gwen does, - the former believes boys should only be her "bros", nothing more. She's a bit of a tomboy, and like I've said before, she can be a moron sometimes, completely clueless as to when a boy is hitting on her or some other subtle event.- then both of them will realize she's not interested. When she sees the boys arguing, she tries to make it up and jokes that she isn't allowed to date until she's forty, anyway. In the end, Nate and Gwen are together, while Arch still tries to get Saya's affections. Eventually, she'll accept, and all four of them are happy couples, ready to murder corrupt officials, pagan cult members, and a millenia old force that's nearly as powerful as a god! :D

After that, I'll guess that the others come in (such as Shion and the Pack members) and everyone bands together to beat their common enemy. Huzzah!

Edited... Well, edit: sure thing, Gzilla. If the Fangs employ supernatural tactics and "magic" abilities, it will make them all the more demon-hard to defeat! Yay, hurray for giving the MC's a hell of a fight!

I was thinking that while the pack may have a rivalry with The Fangs, but they should both be working for the same side. The government employs The Pack for enforcement and for dirty work, they use The Fangs for a more mystical purpose, black magic and arcane arts. Like stated before The Pack is more technological based, and employs military like tactics, while The Fangs employ supernatural abilities and more arcane based strategies.

While they were all introducing one another, they'd forgotten that the gang was still looking for them. Gwen spotted one of the thugs rounding the corner, and drew her flamberge. He drew his gun, too, and the bystanders began to notice. Soon, people on the streets started screaming, and knights began activating their battle armor in defense. Gwen flew past the thug, and he fell to the ground in two pieces before he even had a chance to block. She skidded to a stop in front of the following thug, who swung his calibur at her. She easily blocked it with a force shield, punched him in the face, and danced around his retaliatory swing. A third thug charged at her, and when he got close, she spun and sliced the both of them in twain.

Easy as pie. She wiped her sword with her red handkerchief, sheathed it, and lit her pipe. She seemed...completely unfazed. "Shall we continue?"

"Crap." I muttered. This wasn't good, we had sent the fangs crawling back to the hole they had wormed out of. "Alright give us your location we'll be there soon." Thank Cradle that the Enforcers hadn't been able to identify them, they could still walk in public without getting arrested, but most if not all Haven locals knew their reputation. I darted over rooftops with five other pack members. When we reached the location, Hotaru had something else to say. "That group over there." he pointed to a group of four in the nearby square. "Yeah what?" I asked inquisitively. "That girl over there, she took out 3 fang members single handedly" "If the Fangs want them, they know info, let's "talk" to them and see what they know." I grinned they seemed tough but it was four versus six, and we were a hell lot stronger then some spiral order rookies. We got there right before the girl sliced a fangs member clean in half. I laughed, that's when half of the strangers and knights seemed to disappear from the square I stopped and grabbed one of the girls on the shoulder, "You're going to tell us all you know about the fangs, they wanted you for a reason, tell us, and I might consider letting you go." The girl looked in shock at Hotaru. I looked questioningly at him, he backed off immediately. "We don't need to discuss this with any of you." one of the guys said angrily. "Oh where are my manners, we haven't introduced ourselves." I grinned all, all seven of the pack members present revealed their weapons. I laughed sadistically "We're the pack, and right now you're the only thing standing between us and our prey."

But the gang was still after us. I wondered who the first person would be to find out. And alas, it was the silver-haired girl who still hadn't told me her name. She drew her flamberge and singlehandedly beat three thugs in less than a minute. She seemed decent at fighting. "I shouldn't show them my actual abilities until the time is right,"I thought. "Perhaps that girl has some skill after all." I stared at her in disbelief, before returning to my original state. "Alright. But first, I'll have to see how good you guys are at fighting."I commanded, sternly. "So, we'll enter a local tournament. Everyone okay with that?" They nodded in unison. "Okay then. Let's go."

I tapped a few buttons on the grey machine, and a screen popped up showing the available tournaments. The only tournament that was available was a tournament where you had to fight in duos against other duos. The duo that makes it to the top wins, and gains a 100000 cr prize. "Hate to break it to you guys, but........ the only tournament left involves duos."I said, arms crossed, while leaning against the machine. "Whaddya guys think about that? Should we give it a shot?" I grinned slightly at the girl with the silver hair, and she seemed to blush faintly.
