Samantha looked up at the sky. "Must be about to rain? I don't know, those clouds look rather strange," she said as she went for the cave.

"Tell me about it," said the King of Theives behind him, "I was a great thief. I could have stole my way to ruler of the world, but noooooooo, I just had to steal that tank."

--Caveland--

They soon found their self in another tunnel, it didn't seem that deep and turned a different direction at a point, in which a voice could be heard. "Bah, emeralds. Useless," said one voice

"Stop! This is a robbery! Give me all your emeralds!" said another

"No."

"Uhhhh, I'll give you 8 diamonds for each emerald."

"Deal!"

Woohoo." Fast footsteps were heard, as a Villager with a mask rounded the corner and stopped in front of the rest. "Stop!" he said, "This is a robbery! Give me all your emeralds!"

Amy threw a Wooden Sword she found on the ground at a villager. "Quick lets go!" The Doctor said to the Mining Robot

Link turned around to see a Blade Knight with Meta Knight. "Which one of you did this!" He yelled at them.

--Kurduhm, Sewers (Pos 08-16)--

Lone Star Prime was sent flying off to the side, the blast all but destroying the wheels. The Sphere shouted, "OUCH! ...In space."

Amy backed up, out of the smoke, her flintlock still raised. "Why, that little... he ran away!"

"Yes... and that's good for all of us." Erk used his Heal Staff, restoring the damage from the wound Arkhov inflicted.

"Whew... thanks."

"Salutations, sirs!" Dan strode down the hall, confident. "That madman's flight has ensured the success of our own manoevre! Fair Cecilia, it is time... let us demonstrate the power of the Watch!"

"Yes, hold on." Cecilia was slowly walking across the sewer. "Hmm. By the spattered blood, I take it this was where Arkhov killed the two?"

"Correct." Erk shook his head. "If only I'd been faster with my Rescue staff..."

Cecilia walked into the area. "The paradox threshold has most certainly not been reached by this point. Dan, have you got the Substantive Compounds?"

"They're right here." Dan reached into a compartment newly added to his steam jetpack, then withdrew two large vials filled with pulsating masses of goo. "Helena says these are her best yet."

"All right. Hand me the Compounds. I'll need them."

Cecilia connected a large watch, trimmed with gold, to her Blink Driver, holding it in one hand and putting the two vials under her arm. "The time-space continuum is a fickle beast... but it can be tamed. Observe!"

Cecilia tapped a single button on the timepiece, and fpr her, time seemed to slow down, then stop... and then rewind, with the colors drained. A phantom image of herself walked backwards with Dan. The psychopath and his demon seemed to materialize from nowhere.

The battle with Arkhov rewinded itself... right up to the point at which he'd first begun to kill the girl. Cecilia tapped a single button on her blink drive. "15% heat..." Grimacing at the gruesome death the poor girl suffered, Cecilia uncorked the first vial, aiming it at the girl's position.

In no time at all, the goo within the vial formed a replica of the girl; Cecilia quickly replaced the girl with the replica. She remained in her paused position, with the Substantive Compound copy in the exact position. "19% heat... I'd better hurry."

Cecilia continued backward, right up to the point where Arkhov's sword was swinging toward the boy... "Wait, 29% heat? I didn't go back that far... oh, I see..." Cecilia did the same thing with the boy, replacing the boy with another equivalent Compound copy.

"All right. Here goes nothing." Ensuring she was touching both siblings, Cecilia hit a single button on the watch, fast-forwarding back through time up to the point that she'd gone back from.

What others saw was a brilliant flash of light, and then three figures- Cecilia, and Arkhov's two murder victims- standing where there'd been one. Cecilia immediately collapsed, looking exhausted. "Blink driver... at one hundred... sixty four... percent... heat..." Cecilia passed out on the spot, with the Blink Driver making all kinds of odd noises.

"ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR?!" Dan lifted Cecilia over his shoulder. "Then the strain on you must have been... EGAD! We must seek treatment at once!"

"You hurry out!" Amy kept her pistol leveled. "I'll protect these two in case someone else tries anything!"

Engie had just made it over, getting ready to fix Lone Star Prime. And then two people had just shown up. "Well... I'll be damned. Did they..."

"They were dead." Erk shook his head. "And I still see their remains. But... they're alive..."

"Hmm." Engie gave the heavily damaged Lone Star Prime a few whacks with his wrench. "Y'all right there?"

"Space. Space injury. War wounds. Star Wars wounds. IN SPACE!"

Engie couldn't help but grin. "Well, this little fella ain't any different. Are the dispenser functions still workin'? We may need to give these two a little medicine."

--Kurduhm, East Portal Sector--

--Kurduhm, West Portal Sector--

The man continued waiting, a sword in its scabbard.

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

"Well. Forget about my plan. We've got reinforcements."

Severa snapped up at Wes, "HEY! About time you showed up!"

Up in the sky, Wes shouted back, "It's not my fault Colchus Primus is a crapsack!"

As Jumpluff came out of its Pokeball, Wes turned toward Desidia. "Go ahead. Just don't put him in too much danger, or I'll have to call him back. Jumpluff, get me down there... but first, Stun Spore!"

"Jum-PLUFF!" The Cotton pokemon began spraying paralytic spores down over the tank. Wes held onto its feet as it slowly floated to the ground.

"Okay, Spy, can you slip out of here with Claptrap?"

"But of course." Spy put one cloaked hand on Claptrap, dragging him along. "Stop making noise for a bit. We want them to NOT notice us."

"Understood, minio- err... Spy!"

"All right. Wes is fighting that tank. I'll give him a hand... Cynthia! Sonus! Let's get this tank off our backs once and for all! And be as loud as possible!"

--Tower of Turrets, Third Floor--

Music that wasn't Translation Trainwreck's again began playing as if it was; the entire tower shook a little. "Hmph! In other words, I inaugurate the gun had been crushed under their feet. However, one of my guards! If you and I and the summit of the Tower! If you are my prisoner! It is not a priority! Do you think you will be doomed to failure if you will Nylocke?"

"Okay, he's mad now. I can tell because he's pacing back and forth while stomping his feet like a kid caught in a lie, and it's shaking the freaking tower. If you can carry all four of the Aperture Cores to the fifth floor, I might be able to get out of this crapsack tower early... so make sure you pick up the cores."

"Ooh! I wonder what he's going to do now." The Curiosity Core stared at Nylocke expectantly.

--Tower of Turrets, Fourth Floor--

Mr. Toasty, a masterpiece of House Cannith manufacturing, was an enormous Gatling Magefire Cannon. It could unload Magic Missiles, Fireballs, Lightning Bolts, and other various spells at a ridiculous rate.

And now it belonged to Translation Trainwreck. Mr. Toasty waited on the fourth floor for Nylocke's approach...

C-5455 now noticed some slight damage on his frame. Who had caused this? It hadn't been paying attention.

C-5455 turned toward the Villager. "WARNING. ATTEMPTS TO STEAL PROPERTY FROM INIGEN AMALGAMATED ARE INCONDUCIVE TO A LONG LIFE." Then, after a short pause, C-5455 added, "IN LAYMAN'S TERMS: YOU STEAL FROM US AND YOU WILL DIE."

"Sorry" Link said, "Still getting used to this place". Suddenly the ground rumbled as the place started to fall apart. "Hurry Up!" Link said as he did a leap to the next floating island.

--Kurduhm, Residential Ruins--

Arkhov admires his handiwork after his and the citizen's little game of Otokoyo (man hunt) before looking up at a strange bat-like creature resting atop on of the buildings. "Genevra!" he calls up to her, prompting what appeared to be a smile before she jumps down in front of him. Genevra has the body of a Devilite, leaving her not much taller than his forearm when standing. Regardless, she makes up for her size with her powerful wings along with clawed feet and tail. "Alright, that's enough destruction for today. Vhytel told us to head back to the rendezvous so we can finish our mission here. Then we have to go."

Genevra tilted her head to the side and seemingly raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, already. And just when I was liking it here." She nodded in agreement. "Come on." The two headed back to the rendezvous, which was an emptied watchtower near the higher-up district.

--Kurduhm, Sewers (Pos 08-16)--

The boy tripped when he was brought back, bracing himself for Arkhov's strike. What he got instead was his sister's warm embrace. He sat there, shocked, before realizing that the crazy man was gone and they were still alive. "We're alive!?" The boy hugged her back, both of them crying with joy of being alive and sadness over the loss of their family. They soon calmed down to notice the others and the fact that Arkhov just mysteriously vanished (to them anyways. I'm still confused as to how that works really.). "Th-Thank you for saving us. I think...."

"Hey, there's people down there!" Topside, a crowd has formed around the crater, curious as to how it formed so suddenly in the middle of the city. "Do you guys need help?" one of the officers called down.

Asura, meanwhile, managed to get into the city and noticed the group of people around the crater. Running up to them, he asked "Excuse me, but what's going on here?"
"Hm?" A lady overheard him. "You don't know? Everyone in town knows. Unless you were in the forest."
A guy nearby chimed in. "Yeah, we were all just minding our own business, y'know city stuff. Suddenly there's this real loud explosion and people come running saying 'There's a giant hole in the ground!' 'Some hole came out of nowhere leading to the sewers!'"

"So you don't know how it formed?" They all shook their heads.
"Try asking up closer, they're the ones who were here when it happened."

Asura waded through the crowd until he was near the center where the sinkhole is. Looking down, he sees people down there. Most of them he doesn't know, but two of them look familiar- "Erk? Serra?" He leapt down to them, much to the shock of everyone near the whole as well as the siblings in the sewer. "What happened here?"

--Kurduhm, East Portal Sector--

Akuma came running near the battle, yet jumped back as the acid splashed everywhere. "Whoa! Watch it! I may be a devil, but that doesn't mean I can't get hurt!"

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

Shiki stopped himself when he noticed the group of people, and ran behind a tree. "A bunch of guys in armor, a man in a suit, a weird robot... thing, some dude with a Skarmory, and... a tank. I don't know about this, Shiki, should i really just walk up to them?" (Ah, talking to oneself. That tells you two things: you're either crazy, or you're trying to rationalize the situation. In a crazy person kind of way.) "Ah, screw it. What've I got to lose." He stepped out in the open. "Heeeeeyyyy...." He just stood there(, horns out in the open). "... Have you guys seen a couple of guys dressed in all black and purple? One has a massive sword he tends to carry in one hand, the other has something like a katana, both have black eyes with purple irises?"

Toad looked at Messorem. "I don't know why I'm here.. All i did was fall down a portal and boom I'm here."

--Kurduhm, Sewers (Pos 08-16 hole)--

"Ah, Asura. We lost contact with you during the fight with the Magician." Erk gestured toward Cecilia, who Dan was already flying out of the place. "A madman with a ridiculously large sword and apparent immunity to bullets killed the two siblings you see standing before you. This girl pulled them back out of time... though their remains, well, remain, the two are still alive."

Amy, meanwhile, walked right up to the siblings. "You're all right! Wow, it worked... my friend Cecilia just pulled you out of time. You actually died, but a friend of ours was tailing the weirdo that did it."

"Er-hem! What's going on here?"

A man in a large robe that looked to be made of, of all things, woven metal, approached the scene flanked by two guards armed with rocket launchers and miniguns. "Regent Sheridan Magnos of Kurduhm. Is this the work of that accursed Inquisitor?"

"Nope." Engie approached the Regent. "There was a nutcase with a daggone huge sword that done dropped a bomb on his way out. He killed a few folks here, but they got pulled back outta time by someone."

"Unfortunately, I must ask. Can I believe your story?"

"Well, everyone else present's gonna say the same thing. I know why you're suspicious, though, knowin' your line a' work."

The Regent chuckled. "I see I stand in the presence of a fellow diplomat."

"HEY, REGENT!" A massive figure flew overhead... it looked like... a minotaur with rockets on his feet? "REGENT! HEY, REGENT!"

"Yes, Turbo-Minotaur?"

"I FOUND SOME KINDA SHADOWY-NESS IN THE SEWERS! SHOULD I SMASH IT?!"

"No, just report the position for now. We'll deal with it properly in a bit."

--Kurduhm, The Ironbound Shelter--

"Cecilia, we're almost there. Hang in there..." Dan checked the Blink Driver. "Back down to ninety-five percent... thank the Maker."

"Dan! Over here!" It was Helena Bleier, a technological genius and honorary Ironbound Champion; she was responsible for the creation of Dan's steam-pack and the Substantive Compounds, among other things.

"Hurry! Cecilia just managed a Reversal, but the strain took the driver to one hundred sixty four percent heat."

"Right. Disconnect the Driver and Watch and put her on a cot. I'll ready medications in case it gets serious. Walton!"

"Yes, Helena?"

"Ice packs!"

"Understood!"

((Helena was mentioned on Page 8. She'd been poisoned by a certain Governor Desmond, but has since recovered. The Ironbound Champions (for those who didn't know about them) are characters that were present in this RP before; I'm bringing them back.))

--East Portal Sector--

The crowd scattered as Rick shouted, "DANGER ZOOOOONE" and Rocket-Jumped above the majority of the acid, then aimed another rocket at the technician. "WOOO- hey, man, did you just hit my leg with a drip of acid? SWEET! MORE DANGER!"

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

"Wait, what?" Severa glared at the tank driver. "Just what do you mean, you're on our side? Your tank shot at us!"

"Geez, Severa, give him a break! I'd rather not fight a tank, personally." Then he looked at Desidia and Sonus. "You guys know each other? And... what the heck is a deus?"

"I don't know anymore... did someone just mention a demon?" Severa shook her head. "Honestly. If something else jumps out of nowhere and tries to kill me, I'm going to... urgh! At least Claptrap's on his way to get that thing."

Severa watched as Claptrap made his way into the city, across the short plains; he was hard to spot by the watch, and thus he and Spy could sneak in with ease, even when Spy's cloak shimmered a little. "I guess we pulled that off... so far."

--Kurduhm, South Gate--

Spy slipped behind an alleyway. "Okay, there's some kind of commotion on the other side of the street. So we should have our opening." Spy uncloaked, disguised as a BLU scout. "I figure this disguise don't look too outta place, dig?"

"Wow! Your accent changed!"

"Yeah, kinda part of this disguise kit. Now let's get movin' before some frickin' jerk picks a fight with us."

--Tower of Turrets, Third Floor--

The forcefield to the fourth floor finally lowered. "All right. Now, up ahead, don't bother taking cover behind the sandbags. The next turret will just light them on fire with its magic... oh yeah, the next turret shoots magic."

"Mmph? MMM MMM MMPH! Mmm mm mm mmph?" The Pyromania Core was excited about the prospect of things being set on fire, but was muffled by being in Nylocke's inventory.

Mr. Toasty is at 160000 HP.

--Caveland--

"THEFT AVERTED." C-5455 began digging again... and then he struck Emeralds. "LARGE EMERALD DEPOSIT DETECTED. EXTRACTING..."

"Hi!" Another robot was directly behind them. "I'm Eta. I'm a nanobot! Well, I was. Now I'm a full-sized robot working for these Inigen mining guys. Hey, what's that thing right there do? It looks... kinda like a phone booth. Made of emeralds." Eta began scanning the TARDIS replica the Doctor was making.

((Eta is another old character I'm bringing back.))

--Kurduhm, Sewers (Pos 08-16)--

Asura had a shocked expression that quickly turned to anger, his fists clenched. "That bastard Is here." Noticing the siblings, he calmed down enough to think more rationally. "... Who are you two?"

Before one of them could respond, Amy came up and told them what happened to them. "We were... dead?" The girl was confused by this, however her brother pieced some of it together.

"So that would explain why that man suddenly disappeared...." He turned to Amy. "If that's the case, then thanks for bringing us back."

"Wait, you said a friend was tailing him?" Asura's expression was back to that of shock. "Tell him or her to come back! They'll kill your friend the second they find out!"

"Do it!" The siblings were scared again, the girl starting to cry from the horrors she remembered.
"nothing we did... cannons, harpoons...."

Asura's phone began ringing again. "Yeah?"
"Asura," a new voice was speaking, sounding more tired than Sanoka or Jewels (the second voice from earlier). "We've found out where Arkhov and Vhytel are, along with a third one."
"Where are they?"
"Arkhov and the new one are in one of the northern towers. Vhytel is off to the east."
"Alright. Tell Akuma about Vhytel, he went off that way earlier." He looked around at everyone else. "I'm going after Arkhov."

"You don't want a portal?" Skarla was growing more tired.
"No, I'll go on foot."
"Okay... suit yourself...." She hung up before falling asleep.

"I'd suggest you stay here and rest. Things are gonna get a little messy...." Asura jumped out and headed north of the city.

"Regent!" Several rope ladders came down. "Do you need help getting up?"

--Kurduhm, East Portal Sector--

"Damn." Akuma looked defeated. "Wouldn't want to stop anyone's only function, but I really wanna fight something." His phone began ringing. "Ah, Jewels. Haven't heard from you in a while. How are ya?"
"I'm doing fine, sweetie." Jewels replied in her normally seductive voice. "We've found Vhytel, he's near your position."

Akuma became even more excited by the news. "That's the second best thing I've heard all day. The first is you of course."
"Oh, your so sweet. I'll be waiting for you." This prompted a slightly disgusted look and blushing from Sanoka as Jewels hung up.

"Hehe, that bastard is going down." Akuma headed further east once he got the coordinates.

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

Shiki jumped away and aimed an electrified hand at the source. "Who's there?" His stomach grumbled, and he pulled yet another meat bun out of his hoodie before eating it.

--Kurduhm, Eastern Wall--

Vhytel was standing atop one of the watchtowers, the guards since have been cleared out. "*sigh* I hate having to work with this guy..." He cupped his hands to his mouth. "CEROK!!" Nothing. "Cerok! Come Here!"

((@Sir-Kazookia all I know is that (and tell me if i skipped over something) the Toad you made talk in your post to Messorem was the same Toad that Messorem talked to in Pi's post, so if my logic is right then i think that the Toad you made talk was pi's witch is power playing i think. If im wrong and that toad is fair game then forgive me im still kind of a noob at RPing.

Messorem got up seeing this as a perfect time to get out. He walked over to the toad. He then held out his hand as if to show him something.

"I would love to do this with no struggle, so why dont you show us where you came from?"

--Kurduhm, Sewers (Pos 08-16)--

"Hold a moment... I must ask, just what damages this guy?" Erk looked toward Serra. "Serra's Shine seemed to do something, but Arkhov just regenerated damage from physical weapons like bullets..."

"Maybe it's some kind of evil shield that Shine can break through?" Serra mused.

Amy reassured the twins, "Don't worry. Those two were Dan and Cecilia, the ones who pulled you out of time. They stayed at a HUGE distance- like, behind four turns huge. Now they're flying back to headquarters, 'cause pulling you guys outta time kinda wore Cecilia down."

"So, this is what the Ironbound Champions accomplish!" The Regent chuckled. "Most impressive. Now, I'll stick around to listen for what Arkhov is weak to-"

"Sir!" One of the Royal Guards' radios started shouting. "Intruder, East WaAAAAARGH!"

"HEY, REGENT! DON'T YOU WORRY ABOUT THAT. I'M GONNA SMASH HIS FACE IN!" The Cyborganic Turbo-Minotaur launched himself toward the east wall.

"Godspeed, humongous flyin' mythological creature!" Engie turned toward the Regent. "By the way, where'd the..."

"We found the Cyborganic Turbo-Minotaur as a child. He was thrown out of his clan, and his legs were chopped off... when we nursed him back to health, he wanted to be a knight. Our city doesn't have knights, but we do have special forces... and it was simple enough to give Turbo a few rocket hooves on his prosthetics."

"I see. Not bad." Engie grinned. "Not bad at all. Now to see if this guy's gonna tell us Arkhov's weakness."

--Kurduhm, The Ironbound Shelter--

"Will she be all right?"

Helena nodded. "Looks like it. Her pulse is evening out and her body temperature's returning to normal... I bet she's still exhausted, but a little rest will take care of that."

Dan let out a huge sigh of relief. "I was starting to worry..."

Walton Dilleston, now standing there, said, "In the meantime... Alf, Helena and I can keep watch over Cecilia. You'd best fly back to where Amy is. See if you can acquire some information about that madman."

"Understood!" Dan ran out to the patio and launched himself into the air with his Steampack.

--Kurduhm, West Portal Sector--

"Okay, robot, this is it."

"That's the place?"

"Yeah." Spy, in his Scout disguise, walked out and across the road. There was no one there...

"I'll survey the area. Stay hidden." Spy began walking down the street, looking around. Not many people there...

One of the people, of course, was the man who was waiting. Under his breath, he said, "Well... this is about to get interesting."

The man, Fiore DeRosa, was ready to throw Thundaga or Curada, depending on what happened next...

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

"Huh." Severa's eyes widened. "Total... control over something. Wow."

"That... is probably gonna help."

"Oh, yeah." Wes shrugged. "There was this merchant who kept trying to sell crap in Colchus Primus. He might be following me, which makes sense... a merchandising gig in Colchus Primus is as likely to be successful as a hot dog salesman at a vegetarian convention, and he might be looking for more customers."

Skarmory and Jumpluff floated down to the ground alongside Wes. "Skarmory, skaar?"

"Juumpluuff." Jumpluff shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh, yeah! Where'd Ski-mask guy and the robot go?"

"They're sneaking in already."

"Should we help 'em out?"

"Only if it looks like there's a commotion. Spy and Claptrap are probably the two sneakiest out of all of us."

--CaveLand--

Eta shook her head (which was actually half her chassis). "Darn it! That's so annoying."

"REINFORCING TUNNEL." C-5455 began placing buttresses on the wall, to try and prevent further cave-ins.

"Okay, everybody, stand back. I'm gonna get us outta here!" Eta pointed her missile launcher at the site of the cave-in. "Five, four..."

Messorem closed his hand and turned to look at the king of thieves.

"As much as I love nothingness I see a way to claim the ladder once more." ((And no i did not mean climb)) He extends his hand in the king of thieves direction. "Thieve! Join me. Use this second chance at life to steal the world and when I become god and you king no one will challenge us!"

"HEY!" Sonus said loudly responding to Servea's comment about how Spy and Claptrap where the sneakiest out of all of them. "I CAN TO BE SNEAKY! WHAT A JERK SAYING THAT THERE..." Sonus stops in mid sentence and puts his nose to the air sniffing around. After a few seconds of sniffing he turns his head in the direction of the meat bun. "FOOD!" Sonus yelled as he ran over to Shiki.

Desidia walked over to Wes. "So who is this merchant? I love buying shit."

((Has the king of Kurduhm been introduced yet? I know that he has been mentioned but has he ever made a appearance because if he has not and you dont have any big plot twists for when we get to the king while typing this I thought of a good (In my opinion) plot twist. I would love to execute it with all of your permissions.))

"Heh," said the King of Thieves, "I never thought of ruling the world by force, being a thief. I perfer to slowly steal everything from it, but the other way sounds fun. I accept your offer."

--Mushroom Kingdom--

Captain Toad looked over the portal. There could be boundless treasure in there, he could supply Mario and Luigi on their 34th (Captain Toad didn't know which one it actually was, so he guessed) quest to save the princess and have more reason to be captain, but deep inside, he knew he was too afraid to.

--Kurduhm, East Portal Sector--

The Technican suffered the hit from the rocket, then he used a limit break and summoned 2 2/4 (With abilities activated) Bomerang Towers that spammed so much boomerangs in front of them (Also, they are strong enough to break through ice and lead) that it created a shield which protected him from attacks. He then fired a homing candy cane over the boomerangs that would explode into a pile of dead goron bodies once destroyed, which would use splash for a while and randomly attempt to hit Rick with wrenches, and then explode. After they explode/are defeated, a bunch of tangerines come out that like to hit robots in the face. After a while, they explode too, but like Dark Reprisal with the bullets. When they explode, they release a bunch of acid which (SPOILER ALERT) will get in the Technican's eyes and then he will go rolling all the way to Everything but Cake. Afterwards, the acid will explode, which will do absolutly nothing to anything.

Cerok sat behind Vhytel, how he got there is unknown. "Yeeeeeeessss?" he asked.

The island fell as Meta Knight and Blade Knight went with it. Link looked around as he saw a Carnival in sight. "I have a bad feeling about this.." He said sighing.

((Because you guys wanted the Regent, but I already took him, here's the other government figures in Kurduhm for the taking. (It isn't an absolute monarchy.)

-The Regent (taken) is the chief executive figure in Kurduhm's government. His position is hereditary, as it traditionally has been. However, another executive branch is made from the Six Ministers, each one democratically elected every two years, who can challenge the Regent's decisions in their respective field.

The Minister of War oversees Kurduhm's defensive forces and any offensive forces deployed in the area, acting as a secondary Commander-in-Chief. Soldiers in the field are told to defer first and foremost to either the Minister of War or the Regent- whichever one has the interests of Kurduhm most at heart.
The Minister of Relations oversees diplomacy with other nations. Colchus Primus was probably giving them no small amount of headaches.
The Minister of Coin oversees Kurduhm's treasury, taxes, and expenditures. No, Profiteur is not the Minister of Coin, and that's something to be VERY thankful for.
The Minister of Peacekeeping oversees the police department, fire department, and other similar organizations. Of the Six Ministers, the Minister of Peacekeeping is the most involved with the judicial system.
The Minister of Machines oversees the magical and technological aspects of Kurduhm, such as the Portal Sectors, that do not fall under any other Minister's governance.
The Minister of the People is elected as a safeguard to protect the people from an unjust Regent. He or she can challenge decisions that seem to be aimed at a single person or group of people.

Aside from that, Kurduhm also has a legislative branch consisting of a 30-person Senate, with one Senator from each district of the city. It also has a court system, presided over by seven judges. While the power remains in the executive branch, both the legislative and judicial branch can keep the executives in check.))

"Hmm. So he's weak to ligh- hey, wait a minute..." Amy scratched her chin. "Did he just say..."

"Yes, he said he was some kind of devil." Erk shook his head. "Not like any kind I've seen before, though. The kind from my world... wouldn't be helping us out. Plus, he seemed to be wielding light..."

"Maybe there's some kinda lost-in-translation thingy going on?" Amy shook her head. "Like... one guy calls one thing one thing and another guy from another world calls the one thing another thing..."

"We'll see. For now... Arkhov remains a threat to the people here."

"Yeah." Serra lifted her Shine tome. "I think we oughta take him down!"

"AGREED!" Dan landed next to the group. "I shall strike him down with THIS SHOVEL! HYAAA-"

"WAAAAAIT!"

"What?"

"Some guy just told us bullets don't hurt him and we have to hit him with light energy."

"Drat!" Dan sheathed his Shovel. "I KNEW I should have had this shovel blessed!"

"Can you carry these guys back to HQ?"

"Of course!" Dan put his arms out to the sides. "The two of you, hold on. We'll get you to the Ironbound Shelter, posthaste!"

Erk shook his head. "If only I had something that would work on him. Fire, Thunder, and Wind won't do any damage, I assume..."

"Ah, yes. One of those working with Profiteur, correct?" The Regent nodded. "That man has been a boon on our city, warning us about those criminals..."

"You speak of the ones on the wanted posters?"

"Yes, those. Now, you're eager to fight Arkhov?"

Erk made a slow nod. Amy nodded at least four times. Engie shrugged and said, "I guess so. Free kills on my Strange."

"Well, then. You'll want some ammunition for the job... here, I've requisitioned some weapons. Phoenix!"

A massive red feather seemed to materialize from nowhere, then reached down and slid a small package down to the Regent. "Ah, yes. Thank you, Phantom Phoenix."

"Whaddya got in there, your highness?"

"Please, just Regent will do! Now, Sage..."

"Erk."

"Here's a Tome of Retribution..." The Regent handed Erk a trimmed Thunder tome. "It's much like your Thoron tome, but blessed. It will do no harm, except to beings like Arkhov; the electricity is amplified with holy light. I'll hold on to your Thoron tome."

"Thank you, Regent."

"Ah, yes, Amy Riddington, correct? Here, load your pistol with these." The regent handed Amy a small pouch of ammunition.

"Ooh, what's in here?"

"These are bullets... made of hardened light. On impact with a being like Arkhov, they explode."

"Whoa. Thanks!"

"Engineer, stand by... I'll see what I can get for your enormous gun."

"All righty then..." Engie pointed toward the wall. "Get goin', folks! Give that psycho hell!"

"Do us proud, Dame Riddington! I shall see the siblings safely to the Ironbound Shelter, and then arrive to render aid as swiftly as I can!"

Erk, Serra, and Amy began moving toward the East Wall...

"HEY! YOU'RE NOT THE SAME PSYCHO!"

The Cyborganic Turbo-Minotaur flew over the wall, lifting his hammer. He waited for Vhytel to get within his range. "YOU BETTER TELL ME WHERE THE OTHER PSYCHO IS, OR I'M GONNA KNOCK YOUR TORSO OFF AND USE THE BATHROOM IN YOUR LEGS!"

--Kurduhm, Northern Watchtower--

The commander shook his head. This made no sense. This was supposed to happen when he was two days from his retirement!

"Evacuate the premises! Nothing we've got will hurt this guy!"

"Understood!"

The commander made one last call as he heard Arkhov approaching. "He's at the northern watchtower. Requesting the Phantom Phoenix!"

--Kurduhm, East Portal Sector--

((Ah, the Bloons Tower Defense series. That is a classic.))

Rick landed just in time to see the boomerang towers come up. "Are those monkeys with flaming boomerangs? Ohh, yeah. Here comes the danger."

As the first boomerangs headed his way, Rick roared at the top of his artificial lungs, "YOOOOOOOLOOOOOOOOO!" and then proceeded to roll under the towers' attacks before rocket-jumping off of one of the towers perpendicular to his roll, then using his Portal Gun to fling himself up into the air.

And then he saw something getting killed in a watchtower. "Man, that guy just got stabbed in the face! It's DANGER TIME!" Rick was about to launch himself into the watchtower when a wrench hit him, sending him flying to the other side of the city.

"OHH SNAP, RICK'S BLASTING OFF AGAAAAAIN!"

--Kurduhm, West Portal Sector--

Lemuria? Was that some kind of... "Well..." Spy, in his BLU Scout disguise, said, "Uh, no. I have no clue about what Lemuria is. So what's a Lemuri-"

CLONK! Rick landed right next to the Spy.

"DUDE, WHAT THE HELL?! THAT FRICKIN' THING JUST LANDED RIGHT NEXT TO ME!"

"Yeah, no kidding." Rick stood right back up. "Now where's the... hey, check it out!" Rick looked at the West Portal Sector. "It's like that one place I was fightin' that one guy at, except... not that one place I was fightin' that one guy at."

Claptrap discreetly rolled into the Portal Sector while the attention was focused on Rick.

Rick looked around. There was a guy in a red suit (that was Fiore DeRosa), the blue guy from New York (Spy, in the Scout Disguise), and... a girl with a floating shiny thing. "Oh, hey, didn't we find you around Colchus Primus? Man, that place sucked. I mean, it HAD danger, but there was no way to beat the danger. Just a buncha freakin' bomb guns shootin' at you. S. U. C. K. E. D. SUCKED."

"Man, you wanna hear about bomb guns? There's this Scottish guy that shot a bomb gun at me once. It took like no skill. NO FREAKIN' SKILL AT ALL!" The Spy cringed behind his disguise at the complaining, but he had to make his disguise especially believable.

"I can tell you a few stories about people with no skill..." Fiore was thinking of Profiteur and Salve-Maker Qada, who he blamed entirely for his loss at the hands of the Wind Vestal (despite using Cura on himself when he had had Reflect cast on himself, thus repeatedly healing the Vestal's party). But, of course, everyone present- especially Spy- didn't need to know about that...

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Wes threw his hands in the air. "Man, we can talk about this whole meat bun thing. Seven bucks for a meat bun... how many Poké is that?"

"What the heck's a Poké again? I think... four Poké is one G..."

"One G is two point five USD... so then one Poké would be..." Wes punched a few numbers into his PDA. "11.18 Poké with rounding. All right. That's nothin'. Here, two meat buns for everyone, on me."

Jumpluff poked Wes's leg. "Jump-luff."

"Okay, everyone except Jumpluff. Jumpluff is a plant. It eats sunlight. So, that'll be two for me, two for Skarmory, two for Severa, two for Sonus, two for Desidia, two for new guy, two for the tank guy, two for Severa's friend, two for Severa's friend's flying horse... is that it?"

Mr. Toasty kept waiting.

"Three... two... KITTY!" Eta immediately launched the missile at the wall, blowing some of the rubble away, and then turned to face the cat. "Hi! Hey, you may not know this, but I'm a cat person. Robot. I'm a robotic cat person. Wait, no, that sounds like something out of Sonic the Hedgehog. I... I like cats! ...where'd that one guy go?"

"Ooooooh!" said Cerok, "Finally, something to shock!" Cerok jumped off the wall at towards the Cyber Minotar with planning to shock the whole beast.

"Hey! You forgot about me!" said the Inkling in a offended voice, then turned around to see the two lights falling towards them, "Ooooh, pretty."

"Oh, I'm sorry," said the merchant, "I accidently told you the price for club members. Really sorry. The price for non-club members should be about 10$, which according to research about what currency that is, would be 16 of your currency. which times 20, unless you just meant to miss your squidy friend over there, would be 320$. If 11.18 times 20 is not that much for you, then neither should this."

"Woosh!" Nylocke said as he ran up the stairs and towards Mr. Toasty with sword in hand in order to strike him

Samantha looked back at the island. "Oh no!" she thought, "Metaknight is in there. Ok, maybe he's has a plan to escape and will turn out unharmed. Yeah, I bet he does, maybe, hopefully. He's Metaknight, of course he does!." She then went into the carnival.

The cat looked at Eta strangely, did it not remember the adventures it had with him as a microscophic robot? Perhaps robots are not meant to remember new things for long? The cat didn't know much about robots

All of a sudden, Dan realized something. A trip through the skies might not be the best thing for these two kids' sanity. Also, his arms couldn't support both of their weights.

"Actually, I'm afraid my arms cannot carry the both of you- a flaw on my part, of course, that I shall rectify! Besides, the land route will pose no threat, since the fray has traveled away from here." Dan began leading the two out of the sewer. "We shall provide lodging at no charge. We've even got a few spare rooms for the two of you."

--Kurduhm, The Ironbound Shelter--

"Aaah... hah... did I..."

"Hey, guys!" Alf shouted, "Cecilia just woke up."

"Good, the treatment must be working..."

Cecilia struggled to keep her eyes open. Her legs, her arms, her head... everything felt exhausted. "Did... did they... make it?"

"Dan told us they both still live. He's coming to get them now."

"Okay. Good..." Cecilia shut her eyes again. "There was some kind of... malevolence. Something... that was resisting the Watch. Something... something evil... that's how my Blink Drive... got so hot."

Walton raised his eyebrow. "Well... this isn't good. We'd best find a way to bring down that madman..."

"Shoot, between Desmond, that weird stuff back on that other world, and this sonuva[REDACTED], we got us a whole lotta crap to clean up."

"Indeed. I suppose that happens when you mix multiple parallel realities..."

--Kurduhm, Eastern Wall--

"CUT THAT OUT!" The Turbo-Minotaur flew off to the side to avoid Genevra's blast. "SO YOU'RE WORKING WITH THE CRAZY GUY, TOO? WELL, TAKE THIS!" Turbo then blasted himself forward while swinging his hammer.

"There's two of them. Neither is the one we fought in the sewer..." Erk lifted his Retribution tome. "Now how will this work?"

Erk lifted the tome, beginning to focus its stored ether. It was... different from Thoron. And yet... very similar...

"Hey, ugly!" Amy continued running toward the wall, gun drawn, and fired her first Hardened Light Bullet at Vhytel, before running back behind a building. "Come and get me!"

"Never again shall the people of this city suffer from your whims! SHINE!" Serra aimed Shine at Cerok.

"You'll learn to fear us all!" Erk lifted the Retribution tome. "RETRIBUTION!"

A flash of white lightning flew in Vhytel's direction. Here Erk noticed a great difference from Thoron; rather than creating electricity, Retribution created a blast of light with the form of lightning... fascinating.

--Kurduhm, West Portal Sector Interior--

Claptrap didn't see anyone watching him. He began hacking the console, attempting to insert the line of code Profiteur had given him. "Dum de dum de dum..."

A loud klaxon started blaring. "UNAUTHORIZED CODE ACCESS ATTEMPT. PLEASE CEASE AT ONCE."

"Oops. Better get workin' on this..."

--Kurduhm, West Portal Sector Exterior--

Behind his mask, Spy grimaced. Claptrap had gone on ahead without him. He'd just have to make sure none of these three people walked in... and if they did, he'd have to keep them from walking out.

Fiore DeRosa shook his head, playing it cool. "They've got a few bugs in the portal sector, no doubt. Why, an associate of mine was "making an unauthorized access attempt" merely by using Teleporter #4 to travel to Everything But Cake..."

"Man, ya serious?" Rick raised his eyelid. "That's gotta suck."

"Oh, yes. Poor fellow spent all day trying to fix the issue." DeRosa was making this all up, but again, nobody needs to know that.

--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--

"Sheesh. I'm not made of money here." Wes, kind of embarrassed that he didn't see the Inkling, punched a few more numbers into his PDA. "320 Poké. All right, I get that from the average Pokémon battle. Here you go."

"Hey, wait. What the heck is that?"

Wes looked up at what Severa was pointing at. "...are those lights?"

"Yeah... I wonder what they are."

Something stood on the wall, entirely invisible, watching the two fight.

Mr. Toasty took the hit, then launched a Lightning Bolt in Nylocke's direction.

Mr. Toasty is at 155000 HP.

Translation Trainwreck's voice boomed, "And your self-esteem and confidence, ignorance, mind you, I still laugh at me! You need courage to tackle one of the most powerful of the fire Mage offers to Cannith with a sword? You are ignorant of the same type will be played every Saturday morning television Entertainment for kids! Not the only source of information about threats and a hobby for me, you are! Wow!"

"Yeah... that was supposed to be intimidating... I guess. Now it's just kind of funny."

Eta turned back around. "Oh, hey, now that I think about it... I WAS a nanobot before getting some serious upgrades... hey, wait, where are you going?!" Eta followed Amy, while C-5455 rolled along toward the TARDIS replica, whistling a little tune.

Sonus looked at the inkling.

"Hey inky! I thought you died." Sonus saw that the inkling was to busy looking up at the sky. He looked up too and saw the two shiny things falling from the sky he poked Desidia and pointed up. Desidia got out the steel ball from his pocket.

"I'll save you all!" said Cynthia as she pulled out her steel spear and flew up towards the flight path of the lights to possible slow it down with her spear, only to completely miss and almost fall off her horse. The lights came crashing down near the group and left a dust cloud as it slid past them, leaving a trail as it slowly stopped past where they were
