Boo!
A new kind of roleplaying game
Sentius destroys Zhavers character and puts his cells into a vending machine for fifty cents
((Don't worry, Zhaver- we'll continue the Outskirts. I was waiting on Pi. Your character has not been destroyed by Monsterbrine; his post #853 is void due to an obvious breach of the rules, as stated in the opening post.
Thanks for the info, Ironic. If you have a question about any of my attacks, I'll happily answer it. But... can you acknowledge the large number of attacks that just got chucked at your Inquisitor?
Monsterbrine, a villain that's too easy to beat is no fun to fight. And... hey, isn't the Apocrea evil? By the way, it would be nice if you could edit your posts instead of posting multiple times in a row...
...oh, and Monsterbrine, one more instance of power play and that's it. You'll be entirely ignored no matter what you do. Look at the link at the top of page 15 if you don't know what power play is.))
--Profiteur's Warehouse--
Upon seeing the Inquisitor's bolters drawn, Erk glared. That was the kind of weapon that had so nearly killed him and Serra, not too long ago...
Erk and Serra both leapt backward, minimizing the damage from the attack; the damage they'd taken was beginning to add up. Rick rolled under the shot aimed at him, aiming an uppercut with the Frying Pan at the Inquisitor.
Engie chuckled. "Sentry. Do your thing."
"AFFIRMATIVE." The Super Sentry lifted both flamethrowers, then Airblasted the Bolter projectile, sending it back in the Inquisitor's direction at double its original speed.
Profiteur Defaulted to take the bullet with minimal damage; two of his Henchmen took damage. Three henchmen responded with Bolters of their own, while two more Henchmen charged with brass knuckles in hand.
"So, Inquisitor, you choose to fight, rather than reason?" Erk shrugged. "You're the hero of your own story alone. Flee while you can!" Erk lifted his Rexcalibur tome, ready to try a new technique; Serra ran backward, using a shelf as cover, while using Physic on Erk to heal some of his wounds.
Two more Henchmen climbed out of the basement.
--Kurduhm, Outskirts--
"Keep running!"
Severa looked over her shoulder. Sonus and Claptrap were right behind her, and... yeah, that was the Spy.
"Okay, stop. I think we're clear of them." Severa doubled over. "Urgh... word of advice, don't stand next to an explosion if you can help it."
"You all right, mi- uh, Severa?"
Severa shrugged. "I'll be fine. I've taken worse hits."
"Well..." Spy removed his disguise. "While we've got the cover of trees, let's talk. Severa, I assume you've found out what you wanted about Kurduhm?"
"Yeah. Freaks... Profiteur was right about them!" Severa clenched her fists. "What's the first stage of the plan?"
"Hmmm. Well, we're to stay as far from Colchus Primus as possible. Profiteur warned us about... 'idiots', as he put it. What I'd do for a city without homicidal maniacs..."
"The plan, minion! What's the plan?"
The Spy glowered at Claptrap. "Call me minion again and you will regret it."
"Uh, okay, mi-ster Spy! What's the plan?"
Spy shrugged. "We're supposed to wait for the dead of night, then sneak into Kurduhm from the rear gate. From there, we enter the factory and rig up the western Inter-City Teleporter to allow F-level access."
Claptrap threw his arms into the air. "Yeaaaah! Now we're getting somewhere. So where are we going to wait?"
"Well... that's the problem." Spy shook his head. "Profiteur didn't specify a proper launch point. I'd assume, however, that if we take the forested route west, then south..."
"...And head around through the swamp? Then wait there until the dead of night... that should work."
"Indeed it should." Spy turned to Sonus. "Is this one new to your team?"
"Yeah." Severa pointed in Sonus's direction. "His name's Sonus. There should be a Pegasus Knight, too. Loud, name is Cynthia, loud, carries a lance, loud..."
--Tower of Turrets, Floor 1--
The Mini-Sentry was hacked, and promptly destroyed itself. (No other turret was hacked.)
"OK, but Sentius ... this is heat. You must fight it and you will not be hacking the turret ... you! Please cavity is opposed to rock"
A voice echoed, "Okay, better. Now be prepared to dodge- you're not bulletproof."
--Tower of Turrets, Floor 2--
On the second Floor awaited a non-mechanical (and thus non-hackable) behemoth of a turret...
THE STONE CANNON
(20000 HP, SHOOTS ENORMOUS ROCKS AND HAS A STRONG DEFENSE)
Rolling out of the way, the Inquisitor dives behind a support pillar, common in the Gothic style of Imperial buildings.
"BARGE ANTIOCH! I need the squad of Grey Knights dropped to the city, in the damned Thunderhawk."
The Inquisitor blasts back at the Henchmen, realizing that any bolter shot that connected could be fatal, to either party. Focussing his mind, he tries to force his consciousness into one of the weak-minded Henchmen.
You will serve me.... He broadcasts into the inadequate mind, trying to use his abilities for tactical leverage.
--Profiteur's Warehouse--
"Cover won't save you, crapsack!" Rick aimed a rocket so that its splash damage would hit behind the pillar; Super Sentry waited for the Inquisitor to roll out of the way; as soon as he jumped out from behind cover, Super Sentry would fire its Laser Cannon.
Meanwhile, one of the Henchmen turned toward Serra, brass knuckles readied.
"What the- hey!" Serra lifted her tome. "Just what are you-"
"The Inquisitor's controlling his mind. Get him out."
"Right!" Serra lifted her Restore staff, and the Henchman suddenly stopped, then turned to face Profiteur.
"Sir! Mind control!"
"Yes, yes, zis mind control falls under Charm. Rebuff Lockets out, gentlemen!"
As if on cue, Profiteur's henchmen reached for strange lockets that they then hung around their neck. Profiteur laughed. "HA! Zese lockets contain ze picture of something important to the user. Your mind tricks won't work here, half-wit!"
Profiteur proceeded to throw Pay to Play to the Super Sentry, increasing its chance of a critical hit at the expense of a little money. "For ze finest machine in this land- including theirs."
"THANK YOU."
The rest of Profiteur's henchmen continued firing, or running up to the Inquisitor. Erk watched this as he treated Serra's wounds with his own Heal staff. "You're all right, correct?"
"I'm okay... just a little tired of constant fighting."
Two more henchmen came from downstairs.
Sonus walks over to the group of three.
"hey dont go leaving me behind... and i second that loud comment... or should i say fith!" Sonus looks at the three wanting someone to laugh at his clever joke... nothing.
" ok then, but that sprit will save her one day. So whats this plan your all talking about. Sorry if im not up to date cuz i fell outa the sky."
He looks at all of them with a huge grin, egger to show what he can to do show up Severa.
((If you have a SK account then i think we should meet up on SK. My SK name is Zhaver send me some mail and maybe we can meet... but i do get if you dont want to though))
Sentius leaves / drives his stuff into a black hole.
The Inquisitor has one more spell he can use, affecting the Henchman. Erk and Serra, being psykers were immune to it, but he attempts to send a scream of psychic agony through the weak-willed buffoon's minds.
Meanwhile, a Thunderhawk flew over the city, and flew over the warehouse, dropping four armoured figures down. They slammed through the roof, and landed flanking the Inquisitor. They had storm bolters in one hand, and force weapons* in the other. All had the distinct presence of a psyker.
A Grey Knight dashed in front of a Henchman, standing easily four feet above the tall man. It raises it's hand, holding a glowing halberd, and brings it down in a deadly chop.
Two shot lethal arcs of lightning at the rest of the Henchman.
The third drew a frag grenade, and chucked it.
*Weapons that conduct psychic power
((I still don't get how Rick holds any of that when he has no arms
I'll probably soon end the tank and this new boss I am introducing on my own))
--Tower of Turrets, Floor 10--
The merchant seemingly rambled on and on about the various defenses he sold and how effective and cheap he claimed they were
--Profiteur's Warehouse--
Fancy Pants kicked a fancy shell at the Inquisitor
--Profiteur's Warehouse, Airvents--
The reason it was so cold in there is because the man from before, (The one who destroyed the orb with ice) was spying on them through the airvents, which resulted in the place getting much colder due to his frosty aura.
--Kurduhm, Outskirts--
However, their escape would soon be halted by a giant robot known as... Praetorian. (Wait, did I just post spoilers? Ignore that)
--Inside the tank--
"Darn those foul demons," said the King of Thieves, "They escaped my wrath, now what can I do to stop them from escapeing. I don't think this thing can do that on its own." The King of Thieves saw a button with a gear on it, "This looks promising," he said as he pushed it.
--Kurduhm, Outskirts, Forest--
"Well, I guess that's over," said Cynthia.
In all of a sudden, Admiral Ackbar appeared out of nowhere, said "It's a trap!" and disappeared into nowhere
Praetorian was coming for them now, though probably none of them knew it or why Admiral Ackbar appeared out of nowhere
((first of i just want to say, HOLY CRAP THAT IS EPIC. as much as i love fighting and as much as Sonus LOVES fighting for a sec it looked like some story was unfolding and believe me i love story more then fighting. Thats not to say that fighting is bad, i mean how else would the world solve its problems. I guess what im trying to say here is that i fell like there where some times when a story was about to unfold but because we had to fight some big bad enemy it couldn't and you know what... i dont know crap. I just joined so this guy could be important to something your going to add to the story or something that happend in the past, like i said i just joined and im to lazy to read 16 pages of this stuff (as good as it may be). Regardless we will still kick his ass like anyone else who dare try to harm us))
A big grin grew over Sonus face. "Good" he said "Let more come! Red twins, get ready!"
((Oh, don't worry. There's going to be a lot of story unfolding.
My subject line actually made sense in regards to the stuff going on at Colchus Primus... before I mangled it with the same Google Translate technique I used to make all of Translation Trainwreck's lines.))
--Colchus Primus, Profiteur's Warehouse--
The henchman that the halberd swung at him tried to raise his brass knuckles to block, but couldn't manage a successful defense; he screamed, dropping his brass knuckles and falling to the ground. Meanwhile, the henchman that had just nearly been affected by mind control began doubling over in pain.
"Think again!" Serra pushed the henchman aside, routing psionic energy into herself, and took the force of the psychic blast... which barely harmed her through her Resistance. "Dual Guard, you creep. LOOK IT UP!"
Meanwhile, Erk blasted the Hand Grenade with Rexcalibur, sending it flying back in the enemy's direction. In return, many of the lightning blasts struck him head-on, and though Erk had a strong Resistance, he took immense damage, and was forced to retreat behind a set of filing cabinets. "Serra... hurry..."
As three other henchmen fell to the lightning blasts, Profiteur shook his head. "All right. We're going to have to activate it." Profiteur slipped across the carnage to a small box labelled "Emergency", picked it up, and removed a small machine. Profiteur inserted the Time Mage's Asterisk into the machine and carried it behind the cover of the Super Sentry. Then he began using his Payoff ability to convert some money to sheer energy, all of which he directed into the device...
"Attention, everyone! All authorized personnel are about to receive ze benefits of ze Khamer and Profiteur Patented Emergency Teleportation Amplification System. All unauthorized personnel won't receive the benefits, which is quite sensible because zey don't deserve to receive ze benefits of anything until they gain the intelligence of a grade-schooler. Please try to avoid death."
"Keep it goin', man! You got the crits!"
"Sentry?" Engie pointed at the Inquisitor's minions. "I get the feelin' that we're all about to leave. Show them space marines from hell just what happens when they get in Dell Conagher's way."
"AFFIRMATIVE!" The Super Sentry aimed each set of guns off to the side of the marines, shooting inward to create a pincer attack while unloading a salvo of rockets at the Inquisitor. Rick added to this by watching the enemies, prepared to fire a rocket as soon as they made a move to retreat.
--Colchus Primus, Whatever they call the medical center--
"Thanks. Hopefully this is goodbye... no offense."
Wes walked out of the medical center, pondering his next move. He was considering talking to Profiteur about the whereabouts of the other three... but with Skarmory back in perfect health, he was also considering just flying there himself.
"One thing's for sure. Espeon had better stay in its Poke Ball, after those... shenanigans with the space cops." Wes had made the mistake of walking his Espeon in the middle of Colchus Primus. Authorities- or 'space cops', as Wes had just called them, under his breath- had given him trouble for something to do with... Psychos? They pronounced it wrong, of course... and if it hadn't been for that Spy guy covering for him, Wes would have probably gotten arrested for something he didn't do. The freakin' government...
Wes started thinking. They really ought to have more pizza joints around here. I could go for some pizza. Man, I'm starting to miss Rui. She's definitely better company than that Severa chick... What kind of Pokemon could thrive in this city? Psychic types would be hunted down by the space cops for not having a license, but other than that...
KABOOM.
"...was that an explosion?" Okay, think, Wes, think. Could be a Voltorb... no, wait, these guys don't have Pokemon. Which means... wait, that was in the direction of Profiteur's warehouse!
Wes started sprinting toward the sound of the explosion, a Poke Ball in his hand.
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
"Well, then. That's... weird."
Spy shrugged. "In any case, it's good to have two more. Cynthia, perhaps your Pegasus can allow us a new approach... though I wonder if it can hold all of us?"
"All we need is me, ya know! I can reset that teleporter like it was nothing!" Claptrap stowed the miniature Torgue Rocket Launcher.
"Right. So, Sonus, you wanted some info." Severa shrugged. "Well, here's how it started. I got a missive from the Outrealm. Said I had to go help someone. After crossing through the gate, I met Profiteur- he's this weird merchant with a stupid hat- who told me about Kurduhm."
"They're a highly militaristic nation!" Claptrap raised his hands. "Profiteur told us they'd shoot at a guy for looking at 'em funny. Severa and I didn't believe him at first, but as soon as we approached, we had arrows flying at us! Crazy!"
Spy continued, "Kurduhm has a mixture of magic and technology that renders them difficult to assail by traditional means, and as such, the Regent of Kurduhm is able to reign with impunity."
"We heard the forest here was home to peaceful Hawk Elves. Then Kurduhm's military came in and wiped them out... I was leery because I didn't see any remnants of a destroyed civilization at first, but then I got shot at for no reason. That corroborates Profiteur's story... so we're going after the Regent, seeing what we can do. All right, let's get going..."
Severa, Claptrap and Spy continued on through the forest, motioning for Sonus and Cynthia to follow them.
--Tower of Turrets, 10th Floor--
Translation Trainwreck addressed the peddler. "I want now, and they are not concerned that the enemies easily. Top products, peddling what is your business model? Crown is that you do not waste my time if I multiply by number of the computers you want to pleasure."
(( Law enforcement: Not Space Marines. Space Marines: Elite, mutant humans. These specific Grey Knights serve the Inquisition. ))
The Inquisitor mutters a few words into a vox, and a minute later a sleek, Aquilla-class aircraft lands next to him. Him and the Knights hop in, and it seals up and flies a few hundred feet in the air.
He walks to the cockpit, and takes the controls, and mans the controls, and finds Erk and Serra through a sensor. He begins to fly to them, and rocket pods drop down from the wings, and assault cannons spool up.
((So i just realized that people on this thread are not using original characters, and i just want to point out that Sonus is a original character made by me so if you look in google your not going to find him... and if you really need to know what he looks like i can say later))
Sonus saw the three continuing into the forest motioning for him and Cynthia to follow. 'God' he thought to himself 'What have i stumbled into this time, it seems like something Ira would do...'
He starts to walk with the group but then stops after a few steps. 'They would all think that im doing the right thing... that absolution is right around the corner... and yet... how do i know?
Sonus looks back at the group of four, unable to speak, wanting to question wanting to ask.
"Foenum..." he whispers and grabs the headphones around his neck. "Why did you leave? I dont know anymore... I need help!" Sonus then falls to the ground on his knees.
"WHY?!! YOU NEVER HAD TO GO! COME BACK... COME... C-C-C" he falls a little more and supports himself with his hands and his knees
he just stays like this for a few seconds trembling and then screams to the sky in a extremely distorted voice. "FOENUMMM!!!"
The force of his scream turns near by trees into nothing but splinters of wood and the ground rising in chucks of dirt and grass. The screaming continues for five more seconds. He slowly stops and collapses fully on the ground.
"Dont... leave... me..."
((Some characters are original
I guess since you made Severa an advanced class, I'll make Cynthia a advanced class now too, even though I never acknowledged it before))
--Tower of Turrets, Floor 10--
The merchant looked at Translation Trainwreck confused at what he said, but finally looked at his watch and said, "Sorry, someone is requesting my goods now, so I have to go! Bye." Purple light rose where the merchant was, and the merchant disappeared into a demonic-looking portal, leaving dark ritual markings on the ground.
--Colchus Primus, Alleyway--
The merchant appeared in an alleyway, in front of a man suspected to be a Psyker who said, "Invisibility cloak."
"Sorry sir, I'm fresh out out of those, I'll be getting more next Thursday. Is there anything else you would like?" said the merchant
"Next Thursday? I don't think I have the time. I guess I'll take anything to escape these freaks."
"Want to escape freaks and pummel your enemies at the same time? Well you can do both with the Pegasus Boots! Used by heroes of time wearing green everywhere! Just 59.99!"
"It's THAT expensive?"
"It's the only one in 100 miles as this item is not common, I'm giving you a very good deal."
"I guess so then," said the man as he gave the merchant 59.99.
"Thank you," said the merchant, and then heard the explosion. "Ooh," he thought, "I bet that's a good place to sell some blast immunity plates." The merchant started walking towards the explosion, and bumped into Wes on the way.
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
"Coming!" said Cynthia, as she started running towards the others, but tripped on the way. She heard something as she was on the ground. She turned around to see Praetorian sliceing through the trees like butter. "A villian!" Cynthia said, getting on her pegasus, "Well I'll be a hero!" Cynthia got out an Arcfire tome and used it against it, only she missed it and set a tree on fire, which was spreading. "Oops," she said as Praetorian came towards her
--Inside the tank--
"Ha ha!" said the King of Thieves, "It has seemed to have started burning that silly forest, now I can get this thing to get them!" The King of Thieves started auto-pilot again as the tank went over to the forest."
The owner of the tank struggled to get free, until he finally had a idea. He wiggled towards where he had his gunblade and motioned to try to cut his ropes with it. The King of Thieves wasn't looking.
((I have the strangest feeling like pi's characters are kind of brushing off what i do sometimes... or is what just happend normal XD))
((The thing is, Wes doesn't know that. Since an imperial city appears to him to be a military dictatorship where you can get arrested for having the wrong Pokemon out, he'd naturally think the troops that are making said arrest within city limits are a sort of secret police.
Not true. Certianly not pretty. But it's what I'd think in his position. Keep in mind that unexplained actions may look entirely insane to other characters. Also, keep in mind that some characters aren't quite as upstanding as they want you to believe. Finally, keep in mind that Metagaming is bad, and don't do it. (I'm saying this in advance; I haven't seen any metagaming. Yet.)))
--Colchus Primus, Street--
"Hey, watch it!" Wes ignored the guy, and kept running toward the warehouse.
--Colchus Primus, Profiteur's Warehouse--
"Charge complete!" Profiteur shouted, "Hang on to somezing!"
The teleport carried Profiteur and his henchmen; it also carried Erk, Serra, Rick, Engie, his Super Sentry, Fancy Pants, Aurora (if she's there), and Igniculus (if he's there). But perhaps the most impressive part: it moved the building, and all of its inanimate contents.
Anything not included in the list above was not carried by the Teleport, without exception.
"You've gotta be kidding me..." Wes ran around the corner to take a look at Profiteur's warehouse. Nothing. The entire building was gone.
And there was... something... in the sky that was pointed toward that other city.
"Wait, where did the explosion..." Wes looked at the ground where the warehouse had been. Outside the field of grass that replaced the building, the ground was charred as if rockets had struck it.
"Dang it... now how am I going to get that mission?!"
Wes let his Skarmory out; it screeched, raised its wings, and then realized that there was nothing to fight and stared at Wes, confused. "Skar?"
"No, nothing to fight. Yeah, I know, Skarmory. I know. We're going to ask around about what the heck just happened here, and I've got you out in case the space cops freak out again."
Wes approached someone that looked like a soldier. "Excuse me, sir. What just... happened here?"
((Ironic, if you could take this soldier?))
--Mid-Teleport?--
What was this? Erk could see something...
...a knight, clad head to toe in black armor, seemed to point in his direction through iron bars. Erk heard the words, as if spoken from behind a helmet, "Don't expect leniency."
The scene changed, suddenly. An aged man connected to a machine glared at him. "...I would simply outlast him."
And then... Serra, looking in his direction about five years ago, on the border of Sacae and Lycia, how could he forget? "Your personality's nothing special, but you're not bad to look at." Followed by his own voice: "I believe that's my line?"
--Pretty much underneath Kurduhm, Profiteur's Warehouse--
"Ah! We're miles away now. And if zat idiot wants to blow us up, he'll have to get through Kurduhm's military, and that's IF he can trace us through mile-thick concrete. Very good, very good."
Erk shook his head. "Urgh... I'm starting to feel faint."
"Oh, right!" Serra quickly applied her Mend staff to Erk. "Is that all better?"
"Nngh... it's helping." Erk took a deep breath. "All right. Profiteur, correct? I'd like some information. I'm aware of what an inquisition is... but did he have truly no capacity for reason?"
"I'm afraid that, as soon as that one spots someone who he thinks is a Psyker... well, you'd have to move a mountain to get him to stop trying to kill you."
"And a Psyker is?"
Profiteur shrugged. "Some kind of murderous maniac with psychic powers. I think. Honestly, zey never give me any information!"
"Sir, we've established connections with the Regent of Kurduhm. He's asking why there's a ship from Colchus Primus headed this way."
"Tell him ze Inquisitor is throwing an Inquisitor-fit."
"Right away, sir!" The henchman moved to the basement.
"So, a murderous maniac with psychic powers..." Erk rolled his eyes. "Sounds like someone we recently met... he read my mind. I didn't let him get all of it, but... what if I had? What if I had divulged the location of Elibe... of Etruria, or Ostia?"
Serra shuddered. "Their advanced weapons... and the Inquisitor's evil... it's a terrifying thought."
"Man, he tries some [REDACTED] like that, I'd rocket jump into his face and bash it in with my Pan of FURY!" Rick clenched his fists. "Urgh! It makes me MAD!"
"Yes..." Profiteur shook his head. "Colchus Primus is a terrible military dictatorship. Zey have been threatening Kurduhm for a while now... even to ze point of wiping out their trading partners, ze Hawk Elves! 'Tis such a pity... zey made such fine cheeses."
"Wiping out?" Engie glared. "You mean to say we've been up against a genocidal dictatorship?"
"See for yourself." Profiteur slid a set of papers matching the format of Kurduhm military reports.
"Hmm... well, if these are true... What's the stamp?"
"Ze Regent's Royal Seal. We're likely on ze brink of war; what with zat ship inbound, any attempts by the bureaucracy at appeasement will probably fall flat on zeir faces."
Erk nodded. "Colchus Primus has shown their true colors. What can we do to fight them?"
Profiteur scratched his chin. "Well... I hear zere is going to be an attack on ze teleporter network. So, if you could keep an eye on ze eastern teleporter..."
--Kurduhm, North Watchtower--
"Sir! We're picking up a ship inbound from Colchus Primus! It looks like a tough one!"
"Argh... first those killer mercenaries, and now those planet-infesting sacks of crap..." The Kurduhm captain manning the AA turret sent a transmission to the Inquisitor's ship: "Sir, please identify yourself immediately while getting your sorry Imperial [REDACTED] out of our territory. You're not a greenhorn and we both know it. You should know better than to go into our airspace."
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
Severa watched as a robot appeared, Cynthia started a forest fire and Sonus freaked out. Great. Just great.
"Spy, can you deal with Sonus?!"
"Of course." Spy ran to Sonus's position. "Hmm... you don't look too well. I guess I have to do what I have to do." Spy, assuming Sonus was dead, began yanking him into cover.
Meanwhile, Severa attacked Praetorian with her Hammer from the side as it was charging; ideally, the force of his charge and the force of Severa's Hammer swing would combine for massive damage.
"You call yourself a robot?! Well, I'm an INTERPLANETARY NINJA ASSASSIN!" Claptrap, despite not actually being anything close to a ninja or an assassin, drew a miniature Maliwan Sniper Rifle, then aimed a corrosive bullet right at Praetorian's head.
Severa shouted, "Cynthia! Blow out that fire with Wind magic before it gives away our position! I'll keep this thing distracted!"
((Summary: Wes (with Skarmory) is talking to a Colchus Primus soldier who I hope will be controlled by Ironic, so I don't have to make up dialogue and then find out how many billion ways I was wrong. Erk, Serra, Rick, Engie, Super Sentry, and Profiteur are all underground beneath Kurduhm. There's a guy in Kurduhm yelling at the Inquisitor for getting in his airspace. Severa, Spy, and Claptrap are fighting Praetorian.))
((I dont really think my character is vary upstanding nor do i want him to be so much and he is slightly insane (this is assuming that you where talking to me doctor... sorry i have this thing like i fell like whenever someone says something like what you just said its always at me wether it is or not) and one more thing. God yes! When i saw that you added Wes my heart skipped a beat!))
Sonus started to come to as the spy was taking him to safety. He looked at the rest of the gang and saw that the forest was burning down.
"Yo... spy... put me down" He struggled and soon was back on his feet. "Dammit... cant get out done now"
He slowly stumbled his way to the forest fire putting up both hands and using his power to help blow out the fire (you ever seen someone put out a candle with a scream... its hard but cool) going back and forward with putting out fire and trying to help Severa by firing waves of sound at the Praetorian but missing most of the time. His aim was off and he was tired. He looked over to Cynthia.
"God im becoming more useless then her"
((I think I might be making another character to challenge Translation Trainwreck
Yeah, I will
For story purposes, I'll say Aurora was in the warehouse))
--Tower of Turrets, Floor 1--
"A strange dungeon waiting to be concurred? This will be no challenge for NYLOCKE, MASTER OF CONCURRING MYSTERIOUS DUNGEONS!" said Nylocke, as he walked into the dungeon. He noticed that there was nothing there but broken parts. "Strange," he said, "It seems that someone has already been here, but that will not stop NYLOCKE, MASTER OF DEFEATING ALREADY DEFEATED DUNGEONS! WOOSH!" Nylocke ran up the steps to go to the second floor, and saw the stone turret. "What is this foul sorcery?" he asked, "But this will not prove as a challenge to NYLOCKE, MASTER OF DEFEATING STRANGE TURRETS MADE OF STONE!" Nylocke charged directly at the stone turret with blade in hand and attacked it.
--Colchus Primus, Street--
However, the merchant followed Wes after what Wes said to try to sell him some "Human-Away" spray to reduce the amount of humans bumping into him. He noticed that Wes was now talking to a soldier, trying to get info.
"Excuse me sir, but if you are trying to find out what happened, would you like to buy some throwable truth syrum? Just throw the bottle at someone who you want to tell the truth to you and they won't be able to do otherwise, side effects include that person being angry at you because you just threw a bottle at their face. Cynthia switched over to Arcwind and fired it at Praetorian, which dealt only half damage as the Praetorian has 50% wind resist
The Praetorian took the hit from the corrosive bullet, but only took half damage due to 100% poison resist (The half came from the actual bullet.)
Praetorian buffed its self, giving it 50% more Defense and Magic defense, 20% more evade and accuracy, and giving it the brave status (Always crits, if someone hits him with a crit, it will miss)
The fire burnt a path big enough for the tank
--Inside the tank--
"Huzzah!" said the king of thieves, he however didn't notice the tank owner getting up without the ropes and with his gunblade, and was going to stab him, until the last second, in which he countered with another sword he stole, and they started dueling inside the tank.
"You need to get to the nearest shelter. NOW." The soldier said, turning to face them. He was wearing the livery of the Imperial Guard.
"The Enemy is besieging the city."
--Kurduhm, Artisans' Quarter--
Profiteur led the group out of the basement into Kurduhm's Artisans' Quarter, a historic district with brick roads and buildings ranging from a hundred to two thousand years old. There seemed to be some kind of panic; craftsmen were hurriedly packing their wares into whatever vehicle they had on hand.
"Strange. They have multiple wanted posters hung for the same people." Erk looked at one wall. "See? They've got this fellow with the ski mask on this one... and then the same fellow with the ski mask about two hundred feet away, still within sight of the first instance of Ski-mask guy."
"Hmmm. Better keep my hair in shorter tails. If I scowl, I might look a little like this girl here..."
"Yo, this one says 'actual size'! That robot's a shorty! Man, how's this puny thing get 84 counts of murder, is he like a mini Death Star or somethin'?"
"Wait up just a second." Engie glowered at the poster of the man in the ski mask. "Hell, I know this one. And if he's against us..." Engie scowled, memories of destroyed nests and stabs from behind flooding back. "We're in for a right doggone nasty time."
--Kurduhm, North Watchtower--
"Sir! There appears to be a fire in the Hawk Forest!"
"Argh! That forest is practically a three-thousand-year-old grave! Somebody fire up the Range Soaker. I'm busy trying to get through to this guy."
The Kurduhm captain sent another transmission to the High Inquisitor's ship. "Hey. Kurduhm to Imperial Moron. You are in both our airspace and the range of our AA guns. State. Your. Business! Heck, at least bang on whatever space radio you have, so I know you're hearing me!"
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
((But... Corrosion isn't poison, it's acid. No hard feelings, though; it's easy to make that mistake considering all the things in Spiral Knights talking about corrosion and poison like they're the same thing.))
"No, no, no!" Severa pointed to the spreading fire. "Cynthia, I meant use it on the fire! ...Spy, hand this thing to Sonus, he looks like a wreck."
Spy found a Vulnerary flying directly at him; he caught it mid-air and tossed it to Sonus. "Go on, use that. It'll heal you."
"Right... So, Claptrap. How are we going to fight this guy?"
"Well, you could pull off daredevil moves with that Hammer again..."
Severa's brow furrowed at the thought of getting into direct melee combat with the huge knight. "Any other bright ideas?"
"Ooh! I know. You can chop down a tree with your axe and knock it on his head! ...Worth a shot?"
"Okay, Claptrap? Killing bandits with a Hand Axe takes like two hits. Killing a TREE with a Hand Axe takes a whole lot more than two hits.
"Enough!" Spy was right behind them. "Goad it into charging into one of my sappers. Those should give it some issues. And use that Hammer, because this thing has a ridiculous amount of armor."
"As good a plan as any..." Severa lifted her Hammer as Spy slipped a Sapper behind her. "You! Come on and fight me. Unless you're too scared."
--Colchus Primus, Empty Lot--
"Huh." Wes shook his head. "Well, it's nice to know about an incoming attack, but I'll be fine. And that doesn't tell me a lot about what the heck just happ- What?"
The last word was addressed to Skarmory, who'd poked Wes on the shoulder. Skarmory gestured toward the new guy.
"Yeah, I heard him. Look, sorry, man, but I gotta talk to this guy. I'll check out your gear later. Now, soldier. Why exactly is that building... gone?"
--Tower of Turrets, Second Floor--
Nylocke's blade struck the Stone Cannon for quite a bit of damage, putting a crack in its stone armor. The Stone Cannon retaliated by aiming and launching a four-foot-wide rock directly at Nylocke.
"Hey, now, that's better." The feminine voice echoed in Nylocke's head. "Seriously, the last guy to try and get me out of here tried to run past the stupid things. Just make sure you're the master of dodging, too."
Translation Trainwreck's voice roared, "If you have failed to win in Tower I, II, I think, because Nylocke. The next groundbreaking offensive to me, it should be sent to the precipice of Collapse! No luck, chance, and you can save me!
(Stone Cannon's health: 9850)
(Original meaning of Trainwreck's sentence before Google Translate got ahold of it: Entirely butchered)
"I do not communicate with xenos. Your existence is tolerated. Nothing more. You are in no position to negotiate, dog." Came a sharp retort from the Inquisitor. The Aquilla class aircraft
== EMPTY LOT ==
"Just. Get. To. The. Damn. Shelter." The Guardsman snapped, pointing to a giant entrance to a bunker. He lays his hand on his las-rifle, in case this situation becomes ugly. His squad gathers around, and they begin to yell.
== OUTSKIRTS ==
The Theatre is destroyed, and Chaos Marines march on the city. Bolstering their ranks, are thousands of slaves. Tanks drive in between them, and heavy artillery are brought to bear.
== HAWK FOREST ==
Chaos scouts ghost through the forest, unseen. They pull out magnoculors, and spy on the city from a distance. They stink of corruption.
((I'll respond in Kurduhm: North Watchtower and Colchus Primus: Empty Lot. Everywhere else, I'll still be waiting on Zhaver and Pi^5.
Be warned. Kurduhm has a powerful military with a variety of weaponry near-equal, if not equal, in strength to the imperial city. Starting a war would be a bad idea.))
--Kurduhm, North Watchtower--
"Sheesh. Okay, then. Word of advice, though: in most cases, you oughta cut that smug attitude while you're in range of multiple AA batteries. You might live longer."
The captain turned off the transmission, then shook his head. "Frickin' jerk actin' like he's better than everyone. One day he's gonna get killed 'cause he's in love with himself. Hey, guys, five credits says we're gonna find his dead smug corpse within the week."
"Does that mean you're about to launch a Ship Destroyer?"
"What?! No! The last thing we need is war! Hey, is that Range Soaker ready?"
"Just a little more time, captain!"
--Colchus Primus, Empty Lot--
"Hey, hold on a minute." Wes pointed to his Skarmory. "I think I might be able to help you guys out. This bird? Tough as nails. I remember the time a steel girder fell on its head and it broke the girder. Ain't that right, Skarmory?"
Skarmory made a slow nod.
"Now, it's not so tough against fire or electricity. But hey, I've got some Pokemon for that, too. So what kind of enemies are you guys going up against?"
The Guardsmen look at the Skarmory, then proceed to open up on it with lasers. Filthy xenos.
((Wes offers to help Guardsmen fight. Wes points out strong defense of his ally Skarmory. Guardsmen open fire.
Guardsmen must have taken intelligence as their dump stat.))
--Colchus Primus, Empty Lot--
Aaaaaaaand they fired. Wes was prepared for that.
As Skarmory flew backward, surprised by the lasers, Wes unleashed his Jumpluff. "Stun Spore!"
Jumpluff proceeded to leap out of its Poke Ball, and fly over the guardsmen at blinding speed, coating them with the temporary paralysis-inducing spores before returning to Wes's side.
"So how'd that plan work out, guys? Don't worry, that wears off in a few minutes. You all right, Skarmory?"
"Skar!" Skarmory stretched its wings. It hadn't taken much damage; the lasers had similar properties to the Steel-type attack Flash Cannon, which didn't harm Skarmory much at all. Jumpluff hadn't taken any damage.
Wes patted his arm; they'd landed a grazing hit, although whether this was by accident or on purpose was hard to tell. "So, if you'll shut up and listen for a few minutes, I'll let you know that NO, this is not some 'xeno' thing. Skarmory is a Pokemon. It's no threat to you unless I tell it to attack you, or unless you really make it mad. The same goes for Jumpluff. Now listen carefully. I'm just here to do a little business. I saw you were under attack, and out of the kindness of my heart, decided to offer my help. And what do you do? Do you accept a free soldier? Nope! You jerks shoot at my Skarmory. That's kinda rude, y'know?"
Wes began walking away. "Now, if I don't hear what the heck a 'xeno' is supposed to be in, like, fifteen seconds, I'll be leaving, and I'll be letting the internet know how you guys treat tourists, and you can have fun with zero tourism."
Then he remembered something. "Hey, salesman. You sell anything related to invisibility? I might need to go use a library, and knowing these jerks, they've probably got like ten snipers covering it in case people start reading 1984. Name the price in Poké."
((Not at all. But I think I ninja'd you by accident- can you respond to Wes? (And also, Fancy Pants and Aurora could probably walk out of Profiteur's Warehouse into Kurduhm's Artisans District; Erk, Serra, Rick and Engie are out there.)))
The (surviving) squad members look around, before one brings a portable rocket launcher to bear, off his back, and fires it at Wes and Skarmaron.
The squad then sights, and fires again.
(( They are trained to kill Daemons (warp denizens) and xenos. (aliens). These look like both. ))
((You did))
"Nope, but I do believ- wait, did you say to name the price in Poké?" said the merchant. He then thought to himself, "Hmm, a new forgein currency possibly? Is it worth a lot? Can I scam with it? How much does he have? Am I just getting over excited? Could it just be fake money? Could it EVEN be money?" "Whats a Poké," the merchant asked finally
((Well, the merchant is a d̶e̶m̶o̶n̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶?̶ A wonderful person that I am not sure should be attacked because he is totally NOT from the underworld))
((...The ones that survived? Stun Spore is entirely non-lethal... do you mean the ones that weren't stunned?
By the way, did Fancy Pants follow Erk and company out into Kurduhm's Artisans District?))
--Colchus Primus, Empty Lot--
Skarmory jumped into the rocket's path and put up its wings to block, taking it with little trouble as it would take the usual Explosion.
"Forget this. Fly, Skarmory!"
Wes leapt onto Skarmory's back as it opened its wings, returning Jumpluff to its Poke Ball. As Skarmory began soaring out of the town, Wes shouted back, "So did you guys go 'shoot first, ask questions later' on these guys' ambassador or something?!"
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
Sonus caught the Vulnerary flying at him and slowly began to stand at the Vulnerary healed him. Now healed and without a second thought Sonus leaped to Severa putting one hand on her head and another on her shoulder trying to hold her in place
"He robot come on and run your sword through her, look i even got her held down. Now all you have to do is stab her. Or where you not updated on the plan..."
Sonus then whispered to Severa "Dont panic and i hope you can survive a acceleration of ten feet per second cuz thats how fast your about to go"
The aircraft soared through the air, still keeping track of the two "witches". It flies at supersonic speeds, and soon Erk and Serra find themselves under assault cannon fire....
== OUTSKIRTS ==
The Daemon was huge. It towered fifteen feet in the air, and resembled a massive dragon-man hybrid. A greatsword was limply gripped in one hand, and the other hand held a huge banner. The banner was made of human skin, with symbols that made one's eyes hurt painted on in blood.
The siege was almost ready. The imputant Space Marine decoy had been put down in the Theatre, and the horde of Chaos lumbered forward.
== HAWK FOREST ==
The Sniper unit continues ghosting through the forest. One glimpses a Hawk Elf, and draws a long dagger and creeps up behind it, and strikes it in the spine. The xenos goes limp, and falls to the ground, it's first and second vertebrate neatly severed. One stuffs his body under a tree root, hidden. They continue their mission, taking careful reconassaince of the forest.
((Wait, I thought that all the Hawk Elfs were killed
Sure
Don't forget to put King of Thieves on the wall
gonna post my other reactions later))
--Somewhere else near Kurduhm--
The dark orb floated above 5 swarmlings, ((And no, I won't make them try and destroy the whole universe at once this time)) "...then you put the seed here and escape. We will then wait for it to take over their entire town and we will be one step closer to getting rid of the multiverse. Ok?" said the dark orb. The swarmlings burrowed into the ground, and burrowed their way towards the city with a seed in hand.
--Colchus Primus, Empty Lot--
"Escuse me sirs, but your target is fleeing. Perhaps you might be interested in a gravity rod to get after him, or prehaps rocket boots maybe," said the merchant. "Bah," he then whispered to himself, "He's not going to survive out there without my underworld goods, perhaps I should catch up with him and sell him some? I guess I'll try to accept his forgein currency." The merchant grabbed O' Rod of Controling da Earth and pointed it to the ground and then flipped it up, which caused a small chunk of the ground to rise with him on it, and flew into the air also with him on it.
((Have you been reading? The Hawk Elves in Hawk Forest were wiped out. One person said they were wiped out by Kurduhm, another said they were wiped out by Colchus Primus. But the fact is, they're dead, Jim.
Yeah, you might want to read everything, considering there's going to be a villain that relies heavily on deception. (Just remember: No Metagaming!)))
--Kurduhm, Artisans' Quarter--
"Doggone it. Folks, take a look up there!"
Before the eyes of the people of Kurduhm, assault cannons from a vessel native to Colchus Primus opened fire on someone in Kurduhm, giving Colchus Primus a PR issue far worse than Erk and Serra could ever cause.
"Get down!" Erk and Serra ran under an old building to gain cover; Rick, after sending a rocket flying up at the Inquisitor's ship, followed them. Engie bolted straight for Profiteur's warehouse, looking to grab his Sentry.
"Serra, are you all right?"
"I'm fine. Just a few grazing hits... is that a child?!"
It was; a child had tripped and fallen, and the assault cannons were firing dangerously close to him.
"Man, I got this!" Rick used his Portal Gun to first place a Portal on the wall, then pull the child out of harm's way with the other Portal, quickly replacing it after the child was through. "Hey, kid, you all right?"
The kid just stared at them, a little shell-shocked.
"It's gonna be OK, kid. You guys go on- it seems like the Inquisitor doesn't think I exist, so I'll pull this kid outta here." Rick began using his portal gun to zip between buildings with the child.
"That mindless freak!" Serra glared up through the roof at where she thought the ship was. "Does he have no shame?"
"Clearly not. No love for his nation, either. This will be seen as an act of war when he's already at war with another."
--Kurduhm, Guard Network--
From Kurduhm's walls, a large array of defensive machines were brought to bear. A portion fired at the ship that had the gall to fire upon its citizens; but most focused on being ready to create a wall of bullets (most of which had a +5 enhancement bonus to attack and damage, with some Slowburst mixed in) to stop an advancing horde.
A large long-range device looking somewhat like a water hose began causing a downpour over the section of Hawk Forest that was still on fire. At the North Watchtower, the captain shook his head. "All right, guys. Get those five credits ready. ...And get your rifles ready."
--Kurduhm, Skies--
The contents of ten Advanced AA Missile Batteries- that's forty homing missiles traveling at Mach 1- flew at the Inquisitor's ship from all directions, with payloads of combined high explosives, Electroserum, and imported Pandoran Slag.
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
((Waiting on Pi.))
--Colchus Primus, Skies--
"Okay, let's get out of... what is THAT?!"
Wes looked at the army heading toward Colchus Primus. They didn't look too friendly.
"All right, new plan." Wes sent out Jumpluff on Skarmory's back. "We fly outta here, and go find Severa, Claptrap, and the Spy. But if THEY shoot at us, Jumpluff, spray them with Stun Spore from up here."
Jumpluff gave a slow nod, munching on some Leftovers.
(( So we just say it was a normal hombre, I s'pose ))
A cloaked figure drops down next to Erk and Serra, then pulls of her hood.
"My name is Erin. We don't have much time. Follow me if you want to live."
((Not sure how Erin got in there))
--Kurduhm, Artisans' Quarter--
In strangeness, there was a small splat of blue on the wall near Erin that was quite suspicious.
--Kurduhm, below the ground--
The swarmlings continued...
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
"What do you think you are doing?" said Cynthia, as she quickly changed targets and ignored Praetorian to try and stab Sonus with a steel spear, "You villian!" She however didn't take notice to strange gun fire seemingly laying out a path of orange towards Sonus.
Praetorain used the distraction of Cynthia to his advantage as he charged up. He then looked behind him and saw the tank was coming and flew out of the way.
--Colchus Primus, Skies--
"Ooh, he mentioned people I could possibly sell my goods too, perhaps I should follow him with stealth and then appear out of nowhere possibly scaring them and then sell them some goods! Oh my plan is devious indeed. I just need to turn invisible now," the merchant thought to himself as he grabbed a invisibility potion and drank it, making it look like there was a floating rock following Wes.
((I'm editing that previous comment as we speak
Spoiler Alert: There will be two new characters
EDIT: Aaaand I forgot about Nylocke))
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
"Damit" Sonus said as the Praetorian went of corse. He put his hands off Severa, grabbed the Sapper and quietly put it in his pocket. He then made his way over to the Praetorian
"Yo i hope someone told you but now im fighting with you."
He then jumps on top of the Praetorian
"Lets go"
--Kurduhm, Artisans' Quarter--
Erk and Serra turned to face Erin. "Hmm. Are you going to lead us to more effective cover?"
"Hey, team!" Rick jumped out through the portal. "Found the kid's parents. He's in good hands. So is that guy still shootin' at us, or what? Did the wall rockets get him?"
"I don't know... Rick, can you go and keep an eye on that East Portal Sector thing? Profiteur said something about someone trying to hack it."
"A-O-got it. I'll go ask for directions."
Rick left as quickly as he could. Erk and Serra turned back toward Erin. Erk prepared to follow Erin... but also had a tome ready in case she was untrustworthy.
--Kurduhm, Profiteur's Warehouse--
"Hey, Profiteur. We got a situation here- it's the Inquisitor. Apparently he has a flying space hotrod with machine guns."
"And he... ignored you?"
"Entirely. Went straight for Erk and Serra, who are still alive. I'm here for my Sentry."
Profiteur burst out laughing. "Bah ha ha ha ha! Zat's hilarious! He's got a death wish! Firing on a public street at two guys and ignoring two of their allies. Pfft, what an idiot! Take it out. He'll probably be dead from ze AA rockets, but it's good PR to be seen rushing to ze aid of bystanders, no?"
"I guess. Hey, what are you doin' in here, then?"
"Ah, I would come out, but I have ze important matters to attend with. Tell me if zis starts escalating. Like, escalating escalating."
--Kurduhm, West Watchtower--
"Guys? We're getting some funny signals around here."
"Might be those murderous thugs running around out there. Is the Turbo-Minotaur all better from that skirmish?"
"He's still healing."
"All right. Have the Phantom Phoenix on the lookout... and make sure it stays invisible unless necessary. On a related note, keep those rockets flying toward the Inquisitor."
Eighty more of the aforementioned AA missiles headed from a variety of sources, as an AA battery operator quipped, "But sir, the Imperial Inquisitor and the Imperial Inquisitor's reflection is the hottest item on the planet!"
"Very funny, Private Thurston."
--Kurduhm, Hawk Forest--
"Idiot..." Severa shook her head as she leapt aside. Go on ahead, genius. Neglect to explain to THE THREE OTHER PEOPLE HERE that this was a fake betrayal.
"Minion! I'll deal with-"
"No." Spy whispered in Claptrap's ear, "Don't hit Sonus. I saw him pick up my Sapper."
"Ahem. Minion! I'll deal with that giant ugly robot!"
"That's the spirit!" Spy laid a sapper in front of Claptrap, then shouted his own insult. "You subnormal half-wit! If you inherit any facet of your appearance from your mother, I wouldn't be caught dead within 10 feet of her! And is that visor supposed to look threatening? HA HA HA HA HA HA! That's as threatening as an ELDERLY HARE!"
--Colchus Primus, Skies (EDIT)--
Wes flew further out of the city, returning Jumpluff to its Pokeball. "All right, Skarmory. Turn the speed up!"
"Skaaaar!" Skarmory began flying at an even faster rate, of around 90 miles per hour. Wes gritted his teeth.
He needed to get to Severa, Spy and Claptrap, and get away from that dang city. Between the military police, the disappearing buildings, and the lack of pizza restaurants...
--Tower of Turrets, Second Floor--
Nothing happened because it's not my turn here yet. So I'll just play someone else's theme that Translation Trainwreck sort of stole.
== SKIES ==
The aircraft dodged most of them, before a Grey Knight leaned out of the side, and began systematically blasting the rockets out of the sky. One connected, however and brought the vehicle's Void Shield's down.
Erin runs off, leaping over rubble and avoiding the fire from the Inquisitor. She dives into a manhole, and motions for Erk and Serra to follow.
"get better insults man!" Sonus yells to the spy. (Only spy can hear this) "Your smarter then you look. How long would i have to keep this thing on him for it to shut the robot down? Dont be afraid of telling me, im making it so only you can hear me and vis-versa."
"So!" Sonus yelled so everyone could hear him. "Lets see who drops first"
((I'm really sorry, guys. I don't wanna go into some long, boring explanation and instead blame school.
Alright, how do I get my characters back in....))
---Theater Remains---
The three devils climbed out of the ruins of the long-abandoned theater. "Ugh, wha... What happened?" Asura was in a daze.
"One minute we were fighting some magician guy, the next we're under rubble and everyone's gone." Shiki shrunk his hammer and put it in his pocket. "How long were we out?"
"Long enough to be the only ones here." Akuma cracked his neck. "I don't remember being this sore since the Spawn attacked years ago, and I wasn't even this sore then."
"I'll go see if I can find someone out there." Shiki flew off.
((Who's the closest to the Theater?))
((The magican running from Coily Rattler, but they probably won't try to help him because he just tried to kill him, but he would probably be their only option unless they wanted to go to a city with a army of Chaos Marines attacking it, they might not make it through))
((Just making sure, by Coily Rattler, you mean from Triple Deluxe?))
((Yes it's from Triple Deluxe. I made a villian summon Coily Rattler to kill the magican, who was trying to kill them so the villian wouldn't kill his family, but the villian killed his family anyway, and then tried to kill the magican))
Boo!
