A new kind of roleplaying game
EDIT:
Desdia walked over to the ball and gave it a few kicks.
"Bitch, ima Deus. I make physics bend over and do things too nasty for your imagination."
"Nice job not being too profane there Desdia." Sonus said sarcastically. "No then i'm not too sure whats going on here but by the looks of it everyone seems to want De in there to die so Desdia... send me in there."
Sonus made little haste walking to the ball and one the way he cracked both his knuckles and his neck.
"You sure about that dude? He almost killed us."
"Yeah... he did, but what's the point of killing someone off without getting to know them a little. And I don't trust papers when It comes to getting to know someone. So let me in."
Desdia was hesitant at first but a quick glance from Sonus and Desdia knew that he wasn't going to give up on this so he opened the ball for a split second, just long enough for Sonus to get into it without DeRosa getting out. Once he was in he leaned on the inside of the ball and spoke.
"You never answered my question so long ago. Who... are... you?"
((Ok Doc somethings worrying me. The amount of characters in one place right now is a lot so I suggest we split up. One group will stay in the vault until Sonus comes out and the other will go someplace else. Hows that sound?"
((I was thinking that was a good idea, too.
Waiting on Pi for a few more days.
As for Sono... if he doesn't post here at all in two more weeks, we'll have to act as if the conflicts involving his characters resulted in chasing off, but not killing or seriously injuring, his characters. Nothing else seems safe.))
-Meanwhile in a super secret lair, 5 miles away from where they are now-
"Yes everything is going well! Sure they may have just defeated our only line of defense, and our bills haven't been paid, but still!" The mysterious evil villain showed himself, it was........

The kid released the speed-up button. "Any questions?"
"Alright," Soteka crossed his arms, "so you mean to tell us that you created us?"
"Yes."
"And that you sent us to all those places."
"Yes."
"All because of some game?"
"Yeah, pretty much."
Mekito was scratching his head. "But that doesn't explain why you took us here?"
"Oh right. I'm gonna change your classes to that of Combat Wizards. Elemental Warriors clearly aren't enough to stop Kefka."
"But there's no such thing as-" Before Mekito could finish, the kid held two fingers up to his forehead before waving them away.
"Good luck."
--Kurduhm, Residential Area--
"How cute." The shadow twins, in unison, reappeared behind Luna Wing once her attempted hit-and-run seemingly hit. They used her as a sort of meat shield from the bullets, making sure to keep her between them and the Jet-pack Squadron.
"THUNDAJA FLARE!!" The Fire Twins attacked Kefka in unison, now notably clad in new clothing. Soteka now had an orange hooded-shirt with a thick black line running down the middle. A line of purple feathers ran down the length of his white sleeves, and a white circle was on his back. His pants and shoes had no visible difference from before. Mekito has a similar attire, however he wore red and green instead of orange and purple, respectively, and the hood has a blue trim.
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
((Alright, let's see here.
The Wind Beast, like the Earth Beast, is about the size of Turbo. No blade catching for you, lest you like shadow burns in your hand.
The Cyclone Slash is an attack that comes from the side with the same amount of force that it took to cleave straight through the ground without losing momentum.
The scythe and halberd used by the Shadow Beasts are more ethereal than solid, especially with the staff parts. So there's a strong chance of solid attacks passing through those and a definite chance of shadow burns if it does pass.
I'm just gonna say it missed Walton. Unless you want the shadow burn, which I will be more than happy to oblige.))
"I don't really think it's ei-GKH!!" The Earth Beast grabbed Akuma by the head as he was distracted before flinging him at Turbo.
The Wind Beast barely managed to sliced Walton as the momentum from the cyclone lead it towards Dan and Rick.
"Thanks." Shiki took the potion and gulped it down. As he did this, Shadow-Heavy unleashed it's Sliding Haymaker as Asura jumped forward in a Dropkick Drill. The two collided, before Asura broke through the arm. He jumped back in front of him and spin-kicked him straight into the Pyroplastiques.
--Kurduhm, Bunker Area--
'Kinda glad I'm not seen as big as a threat.' Vhytel finished flying and dropped straight in the middle of his rune (which is in the middle of the army-esque group). "Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do THIS!!" He shot a hand up, the rune glowing purple before turning black and releasing a massive plume of shadows.
Genevra wrapped her wings around herself and unloaded a Dark explosion in several places around her, limiting Space Sphere's movement.
Arkhov warped out of the laser's path. He embedded his blade into the ground and punched the ground, causing several shadow geysers to erupt from the ground.
--Floralia--
((Can I just say Samantha is a lost cause? It's like Pi refuses to roleplay her anymore.))
Orange and Joe hopped off the branch onto the next island. "Say, Joe. You think we should have slowed down for the others?"
Joe shrugged. "What're you asking me for? You were the one who ran off."
"Ah, good point."
When they looked back, however, a six-armed person flew by, carrying Dedede with him. "Oh geez, I have to hurry before that annoying puffball catches up.
"Hey!" Orange pointed at them. "Isn't that the King?"
Taranza turned back, shocked. "Y-You! Quit following me already, you annoying pest!" (A bit OOC, but eh.)
"Following you?" Joe looked at Orange, who was scratching his head (or at least something that looks that way). "What are you talking about?"
"Don't play around. I know you want the hero of Dream Land back, but I refuse! Milady needs him." Taranza shot a nearby flower with energy. "Flowery Woods, Get Them!"
"What? Hero?" Orange was about to draw his sword before the flower erupted from the ground into Flowery Woods DX. As they were distracted, Taranza, with Dedede in tow, flew off.
--Manor de Fieghan--
While the siblings were mourning the deaths of the manor, Sammer proceeded to start up the incinerator. He went to grabbing and throwing corpses into it so that the house wouldn't be affected by necro-reanimation anymore.

Kirby jumps out of nowhere with a sword ability and rapidly starts cutting at Flowery Woods DX. "Follow him, i'll take care of Flowery Woods DX" and Kirby put on epic shades as his killing bosses music came on.
((What do you mean Samantha is a lost cause? No she's not))
--Floralia--
Samantha joined the group right when they encountered Taranza. "HEY!" said Samantha, "Put that penguin down!"
But then Flowery Woods DX and pink Kirby appeared.
"Yeah, great idea!" said Samantha. Really she just wanted an excuse to get rid of pink Kirby
--Floralia, somewhere else--
Magolor walked around. Now, where was that thing? Magolor heard a noise from above and looked up. He saw some weird 6 armed thing carrying, was that, King Dedede? If that thing was carrying King Dedede, then Kirby was probably following it. Magolor hid because he didn't want to encounter Kirby.
((Well, that escalated quickly))
--Floralia, somewhere else--
Dear lord, it was Kirby, the pink fluffball has come to end us all.
((@Sono, yeah this is a little awkward but i'm most likely not coming back to that one. Sorry))
(Xx what POV are you in?)
"Yea thanks be a jerk to me" Kirby says cutting off the branches of Flowery Woods DX. Link appeared out of nowhere and started cutting at Flowery Woods DX too.
((@Sono: Walton's attacks effectively disregard whether something is physical or, in the case of this shadow nonsense, ethereal, and Walton himself is immune to darkness-based damage; it's something I established a while back, but it wasn't very prominently displayed because nothing took the champs seriously for a long enough time. More prominently displayed was Walton's high strength- as Profiteur put it in a throwaway line to Qada, "Zey're steam-age superheroes".
Walton was established as having these abilities- and not lots of others.
@Zhaver: I was thinking we had too many guys. Perhaps we'll split the party.))
--Kurduhm, Residential Area--
Kefka ducked back at the sound of the Fire Twins' cast, then started cackling as electricity surged through his body, dealing some damage. "HA HA HA HA HA! The stuff with the SILENT J's in the name! Now that's MY kind of magic!" Kefka twirled around to face the Twins. "Ugly guys! Take care of the air troops. I'll be busy here!"
Kefka responded to Thundaja Flare with... "Libra! Libra! What are you guys weak to, I wonder?"
Luna Wing shook her head as the shadow twins' teleport STOPPED about two inches into her Silver Star Valkyrie Shield's Anti-Magic effect ((see two or three of her posts ago... which is admittedly a while back)). "You guys don't adapt very well, do you?" Luna promptly lashed out with Great Cleave, building an electric charge around her even if she missed; the air forces continued firing, spreading fire at high altitudes to try and drive the Shadow Twins down.
Erk prepared to cast Bolganone... when something caught his eye. ...Profiteur?
Yes, Profiteur. With a lot of briefcases. "Must hurry, must hurry, must get out of zis place..."
"Profiteur! You're just in time!" Erk pointed at Kefka. "You've got magic power, correct? Use your magic to fight this maniac!"
"No can do! My utmost apologies, but zere are very pressing matters zat need attending to, so you will have to finish zis on your own!"
"What?!" Serra shook her fist at Profiteur. "Get back here! What is so important that-"
"Forget it." Erk waited for a prime opportunity to cast, watching the Fire Twins almost as much as he watched Kefka. Serra was watching the fight between Luna Wing and the Shadow Twins.
((It's simply too late to post anything else tonight. I'll get back with the rest most likely tomorrow.))
((Noooow I'm ready.))
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
Walton sidestepped the scythe attack, and as it fell down, stepped on it. Though his shoes were slightly burned, his feet treated the scythe as though it were a solid object, allowing him to leap up off of it and launch a rising uppercut at the Wind Beast's lower jaw, or whatever substituted for the Wind Beast's lower jaw.
"Walton, dear!" Helena moved forward, and her Combat Coil's tip was now glowing. "Save some for me!"
Dan and Rick continued holding the line with no problems, and Amy picked off spawn one after the other. "Sheesh... these guys are startin' to get boring."
"I know!" Dan shook his head, casually braining three Shadow Spawn at once with his shovel while elbowing another aside. "Don't they ever give up?"
You see, the Shadow Spawn, like any other foe in anywhere, were a rich, healthy source of Experience Points. And thanks to their constant assault, Dan, Rick, and Amy were all at least two levels higher than when they'd started. Amy yawned while picking up a Shadow Spawn that tried to sneak by her and drop-kicking it into a wall. "Can't they just go home and do something counterproductive?"
"Counterproductive? Amy, whyever would they be counterproductive?" Dan said, as he lifted a Shadow Spawn bodily and swung it like a flail, knocking out about five others, before impaling it on his shovel.
"Isn't that all they do? Heck, that's what they're doing right now!" Amy killed another sneaky Shadow Spawn by pistol-whipping it before killing three more with the same Hard Light bullet.
"Y'know, she's right on the money," Rick calmly said, while killing eight nearby Shadow Spawn with one swing.
"All of you, keep your eyes open." Cecilia was right behind Amy, unloading Revolver shots into the Shadow Spawn. It turned out that level ups weren't necessary; the Champions were just that good at taking out large groups of weak targets. "That scythe-wielding beast is getting close!"
Meanwhile, the pyroplastiques exploded right next to the hapless Shadow-Heavy. Uther leapt backward at the sight. "Forsooth! Prithee warn me of the fireworks next time, milady!"
Turbo caught Akuma in mid-flight. "OH, YOU'RE THROWIN' STUFF AT ME NOW, HUH? YEAH, LIKE THAT'S GONNA- OH, HEY, IT'S YOU." Turbo let go of Akuma. "ALL RIGHT! THIS GUY GAVE UP THE RIGHT TO A FAIR FIGHT. Y'KNOW WHAT HE'S WEAK TO?" Turbo gripped his hammer, grinning as it started building up energy. "'CAUSE I MIGHT HAVE SOMETHIN' FOR IT!"
"Turbo, shall I be needed?"
"MAYBE. I DON'T KNOW."
"Perhaps I'll err on the side of caution, then." Uther pulled his Magnetized Tomahawk back into his hand. "Stand down, you ugly pig-dog! The Elite Eight always triumph!"
--Kurduhm, Concealed Cave--
"Hmmm. Suspicious!"
A short, stocky man with a ridiculously oversized pair of clockwork goggles shrugged and threw a Hovering Electro-Turret into the air. "But not suspicious enough to warrant monitoring in person. Luna Wing, how are things on your end?"
"Completely insane!" Luna's voice rang over the mic. "But we should be able to get it under control. Still, we could really use your help."
"Of course! I'm making my way back to the city as we speak." Myles, now a good distance from the Concealed Cave, kept talking into his mic while riding a motorcycle through the Hawk Forest. "How about you, Smash?"
"MOST BODACIOUS! These guys know how to fight, but bro, they haven't TOUCHED the bunker. We should be able to make 'em run off, or make 'em die if I play loud enough to WIPE OUT THEIR BRAIN CELLS! OH YEAH!" A totally bodacious guitar riff plays over the mic.
"Hmm. And you, Ertha?"
"The culprit's apprehended, dear. It turns out we've got a lot of investigating to do in regards to Erutus Profiteur. His underling made the idiot mistake of- yes, you moron, you're an underling- telling their patsies just what he was up to. Said underling is also behind some of the disappearances."
Myles shrugs. "Right. I should be there in about four minutes..."
--Kurduhm, Bunker Area--
Smash Rock played a high note for each of the trio's significant attacks. "You guys play a crappy beat! Can't you sync your moves?" A barrier formed around the attacks, dropping the damage to a quarter of its original strength.
The Super Sentry lowered its laser. "DID I DEAL DAMAGE?"
"I don't rightly know. They ain't reactin'."
"THEN I WILL JUST HAVE TO SHOOT THEM UNTIL THEY DIE."
The Space Sphere took some damage from the explosion, but kept firing. "Space never gives up! Space power! Uh oh, space meter is-" A Rescue Ranger bolt struck the Sphere. "Space meter is good. Visualize in space! You're wrong! SPACE IS BETTER THAN GATORADE! SPAAAACE!"
"Yeah! Visualize an' attack! Go git 'em! ...For space!"
Only one more soldier fell. The rest began firing to the beat of Smash Rock's renewed rhythm.
--Kurduhm, Underground Vault--
"Wait a moment." Ertha lifted the ball out of Sonus's reach, keeping it shut. "We have to question him first, dear. And we can do that from outside a place where he can burn you alive. Also..." Ertha turned toward Desidia. "You really should respect your elders. I've been in mineral-control for most of my adult life. I can give you advice. Now, you... Sonus, right? I believe you wanted to know who he was?"
"Does that question even merit an answer?" DeRosa laughed. "I don't answer to you. I don't answer to anyone!"
"You had better answer," Ertha snapped, sounding significantly less kindly. "Otherwise, I'll dip this sphere in boiling magma. I've still got plenty of magma left."
"Ow, geez!" Scout cringed at the very thought of being stuck in a metal sphere that was dipped in magma. "Thanks for the nightmare."
"My apologies, dear. He's made me a little upset." Ertha smiled. "Now. Be a good boy and answer."
"Fine!" DeRosa sighed. "The report cited earlier is correct. I am Fiore DeRosa, former- no, RIGHTFUL Captain of the Eternian Bloodrose Legion. And I would have been Grand Marshal of Eternia, taking the position from the Templar Braev Lee, were it not for some ill luck and an upset subordinate."
Gerome shrugged. "That would be Einheria, correct?"
"Gah!" DeRosa kicked the inside of the ball. "Don't speak that harpy's name! If it weren't for HER... GAHHH! She must have told you about me, didn't she?"
"Well, there's your answer. Now..." Ertha tossed the ball in the air. "Who else are you working with?"
"As Einheria probably told them, Profiteur and Qada are co-conspirators. They, along with me, were freed by one 'Sturm' to work for one 'Desmond Skurge'. It is for this reason that I was wasting time in this city."
"Eager to sell out your co-conspirators, aren't you?" Ertha glared. "I think you're lying. Wonder what the magma thinks?"
"N-no! It's true!" DeRosa stammered.
"Very well, then. Desidia, correct?" Ertha turned toward Desidia. "It is only by our continued power that DeRosa isn't escaping. So let's carry him out together. The rest of you are free to follow us or leave as you desire- the big door leads out to the fish market."
"Wait, wait, wait. The FISH MARKET?!" Cynthia shouted, "You... DeRosa, you said those were execution grounds!"
"Did I lie? Fish hardly consider the place bloodless."
"Surprise, surprise. DeRosa's a dirty liar." Severa shrugged. "Thanks, ma'am. I'll be going on ahead. And... everyone else?" Severa gritted her teeth, and her face turned beet red, before she finally blurted out, "Thanks. Thanks for saving me."
"Anytime, sugar!" Scout flipped his bat. "You can always count on the-"
The Spy tapped Scout on the shoulder and whispered Severa's age (~16), compared to his (either 23 or 27, depending on whether the Track Terrorizer's description referred to RobotWars!Scout or GravelWars!Scout), in his ear. "Oh. Uhh... naw, y-you're [REDACTED]in' me, Spy!"
"I am not."
"She's that young an' already swordfightin'?"
Severa sighed. "Yeah, yeah. Sure."
Gerome dismounted Minerva. "She isn't lying- that is the Kurduhm fish market. Execution grounds... bah."
"Let's get outta here!" Cynthia was grinning ear-to-ear. "We're heroes now, right? ...Uh, Ertha, does this make us heroes?"
"Yes, it does, dear. Provided your testimony is true, which I'm inclined to believe it is- and I'm no fool."
"YAY!" Cynthia punched the air. "THEN IT'S TIME FOR A HEROES' FEAST!"
"You have the RIGHT IDEA, Minion!" Claptrap rolled up to the stairs with Cynthia. "Heroes' feast!"
"Minion?" Cynthia shook her head. "Nope! Sidekick! We're heroes! Heroes have sidekicks, not minions!"
"Oh. ...Okay! Follow me, sidekick! ...err, Sidekick? Can you... give me a hand with the stairs?"
Cynthia walked back up the stairs, picked up Claptrap by his head, and started carrying him down.
Wes shrugged. "I guess I'll stay here in case DeRosa tries to break out. Rui?"
Rui smiled. "I'll be right here with you, then."
"I suppose I should get as much information as I can about DeRosa..." And his attire, Spy thought. Mann Co. could benefit from that style. And, hey, a pay raise is a pay raise.
Scout stayed with Ertha and Desidia for two reasons. One: he'd embarrassed himself by hitting on Severa. Two: Spy was there, and he knew Spy, at least well enough to know if he was trying to Backstab him for Strange points.
"All right... give me just a few minutes. I have to prepare a path for the ball to go down. It involves magnetism; this way, we can both devote our full power to keeping DeRosa from breaking out with magic while transporting him over a large distance."
((Ahh. That helps split the characters.))
--Manor di Fieghan--
"...right." Zack turned toward Alf. "We should get back to the Shelter. But not until after these are cleaned up."
"'Course. We left the security system on in there, though. Not much is gonna get in!"
"Sarah, everything all right?"
"Yep." Sarah blinked repeatedly. "These new eyes are weird, though. But... am I going to go insane?"
"What?"
"Well, I guess I'm one of the Faeries now. And they all went insane, didn't they?"
Zack hung his head. "Most of them... but most were insane after they transformed. Do you feel like you're insane?"
Sarah shook her head. "I don't know. I've never been insane."
"Well, what do I look like?"
"There's about eight of you, but you look the same as ever." Sarah smiled. "Is that good?"
"Yes, that's good. Does your back feel better?"
"Yep! I don't even remember the pain." Sarah looked at Sammer. "Well, we should go help him clean up, shouldn't we? Look, Alf's already picking up bodies."
Alf nodded to the twins, a dead zombie over his shoulder. "You two... wanna bury your pop?"
"No..." Zack shook his head. "No, he wouldn't want us to risk him getting back up." Zack gritted his teeth and walked up to his father's twisted remains. "But first... E-1? Take the Sylfite apparatus off him. Wars have been fought over them, so we shouldn't let them go to waste."
"UNDERSTOOD." E-1 began removing the machinery from the former Baron di Fieghan's body.
"All right. Our next goal is..."
"To get this barony working right again," Sarah said. "Let's get to the teleporter."
"Sure thing lady." Desidia said following Ertha. "Although I cant shake the feeling like you just made fun of my abilities."
"She did, twice." Sonus chimed in. "Ima go with red head, "hero" and Claptrap, just call if ya need anything, i'll hear ya." Sonus then walked off following the others who went to the fish market. Desidia continued to walk with Ertha and got close enough to ask a question.
"So who exactly are you? How you managed to take control of the ball from me is impressive enough! Or maybe Messorem's tech is outdated here."
((Sorry about the small post again. A lot is happening around my characters but not much is happening to them.))
((I'm posting at this location for some reason))
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior
Tap, tap, tap. That was the sound of a seed falling from the sky and hitting several rooftops on the was down and landing near a group of shadow spawn. This was of course no ordinary seed though, why do you think I'm telling you about it? The seed fell into a small hole where it snugly lied. Suddenly, what seemed to be an earthquake happened (The roots are pretty big) and a beautiful but huge blue and white flower burst from the ground called a Stormbloom. The Stormbloom immediately started up a heavy rain and a dense fog all over Kurduhm. The Stormbloom then just sat there.
((The Stormbloom is neutral, so you can completely ignore it aside from it making everything hard to do. Doing something to get rid of the rain/fog will make it mad and so will attacking it.))
((I've often wondered how I managed this for so long. It's something that's been bothering me for a while. No, I'm not going into some kind of rant (okay, maybe I did but whatever), and no, I'm not going to waste anyone's time with this. Just skip the following paragraph to get to my characters' sh*t.
I think I should cut all my villain characters. Why? Because they aren't compelling, they aren't necessarily motivated by anything other than wanton destruction and death, they're seen as weak by anyone who Isn't my character, and they can't do anything to warrant them as a threat to others. The first two faults I can easily attribute to me being lazy with them, but the latter? It's not that I want them to be weak and non-threatening, I want entirely the opposite. But I can't do that when whoever they're fighting practically just shrugs off any form of attack like a pebble being thrown against solid steel, makes some countermeasure against them the second it's released, or just dodges it altogether. I know this may be aimed directly at Doc, but the same applies to my hero characters as well. All my characters I try to balance as much as possible, whether it be a small but highly exploitable weakness or taking a hit that they can't just shrug off. Even the most bada** video game characters have flaws. Asura from Asura's Wrath and Starkiller from Force Unleashed, despite all these insane feats, can't necessarily take any hit without flinching, to the point of being flung like a ragdoll across the room. Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Raiden from Metal Gear have to deal with their inner demons as they fight to protect others. And yet I see borderline Mary Sues/Gary Stus almost everywhere I turn (not Erk and Serra, they're fine). And I'm forced to adapt to their attacks so I wouldn't seem like a poor player. I guess you could say that's why I haven't been posting as of late, as my lack of motivation still persists (haven't drawn much anything for two months).
tl;dr: I can't have motivation if I can't have characters that can fight back.))
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
((Reappearing someplace else suddenly means teleporting, huh? I guess this was agreed upon during my absence, because I could have sworn it also means "moving faster than can normally be seen".
"Magic?" Obakun chuckled. "You honestly think we'd choose to use something so controlled when we have something as destructive and powerful as raw chaos energy?"
These two are also very prideful when their energy attacks are compared to magic.
Galax, your last post says you jumped behind a bush because of supposed Zombie Crows.))
Libra, however, had no affect on the Fire Twins, as they weren't from the same dimension as Kefka, where it normally would work (and higher-leveled :P).
"Good luck with that! HOLY FREEZE!!" The Twins unleashed two ultimate spells at once on Kefka. While he was distracted, Soteka went over to Erk and Serra.
"You two okay?" Before they could answer, however, Vortak arrived.
"Interesting that I've come to this!" Holding his minigun arm forward, he unloaded his signature Macro-Missile Barrage at them.
"Ref-!" Soteka held a hand out to cast Reflect, before stopping. He grabbed Erk and Serra and warped them out of the way. Once they reappeared (it usually leaves minor nausea for first-timers (and they're on the street now)) Soteka quickly released them and clutched his Power Eye in pain. "Gkh!"
"Where are you going, Light-Side Scum?!" Vortak went to intercept them, before Obakun called him from above.
"Vortak! Deal with the flying pests!" His hands covered themselves in chaos energy as he blasted towards Soteka.
Vortak flew up, both arms held forward as he shot energy blasts and a seemingly endless supply of explosives at the Squadron.
Torghast, taking advantage of the sudden chaos, burst towards Luna and unleashed a flurry of strikes and stabs.
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
((The Shadow Spawn, in actuality, don't give any experience. Shadow Commanders (bosses) and the Chaos Spawn, on the other hand, do. Then again, different dimensions have different conditions and properties, so eh. Regardless, don't ever give properties to things I control. It borderline pisses me me off when someone does that, especially so when it's something false. That bothered me almost as much as when Malk controlled older versions of my own characters, the Elements.
Apparently, I have to exercise that the Cyclone Attack swings the scythe diagonally-horizontally, not diagonally-vertically (more side swinging than up-down swinging), meaning that Walton would have to jump on while it's coming from the side, rather than when it comes down.))
(I should use this time to say something. The Spawn, whether Shadow or Chaos, is very similar to the Swarm.) The Wind Beast split before Walton could hit it, and one half went over to Helena. (Both attack their prey in packs. Both are notably feral. Both take on forms suited for their current threat at hand.) The Spawn fighting the other members of the Ironbound Champions backed away from them and converged into four pools of darkness. (And both can make copies of anything. However, there are differences in the processes.) The split Beast pools built themselves into near-perfect replicas of Walton and Helena, only being monochromatic in color and having glowing white eyes. (Spawn doesn't need to touch and copy their templates like the Swarm. They only need be in the Spawn's surrounding area.) The pools from the Spawn minions, in turn, became Spawn copies of Dan, Rick, Amy, and Cecilia. (And the Spawn Copies are nearly perfect replicas of their templates, able to mimic and mirror the templates' moves and weapons with high accuracy. The thing is, they can't replicate Light-Siders (a term used to refer to people from the light half of Acratus, the Fire Twins and Shadow Twins' homeworld), Dark-Siders (same as Light-Siders, but from the dark half of Acratus), or the Elements, meaning it hasn't been used as often in their dimension.)
The copies all stood ready to attack.
The Earth Beast raised its free hand up, as several black stone spires shot up around Turbo and Akuma. It then embedded its axe into the ground, before dragging it forth and launching boulders and Shadow Energy at them.
"Earth? Really?" Akuma stomped, the spires split open wide enough for them to jump out. He broke one off, the dark energy being released, as he swung it at the boulder barrage.
As the pyroplastiques exploded, the Shadow Heavy's armor fell apart and the energy it absorbed dispersed through the air around it in a loud hiss. "Now that's how you get rid of a Shadow Beast." Asura clap-wiped his hands.
--Kurduhm, Bunker Area--
Before any more attacks can be released, a black web-like field enveloped the Immortals.
"Wh-" Vhytel and Genevra landed by Arkhov, who pulled his sword from the ground after recoiling from that shadow geyser attack from earlier. "...! Master... is here." Vhytel kneeled, Arkhov and Genevra following in turn.
--Floralia, Old Odyssey Plains--
"Right!" Orange ran after Taranza and Samantha.
"You two take care!" Joe followed closely behind.
Flowery Woods DX starts shooting puffs of air at Pink and Link as pollen blobs and Gordos fall from its branches.
((I think I know who you're talking about.
The Elite Eight (Turbo, Luna Wing, and such) were meant in part to be a way to make people stop attacking Kurduhm, so the story could move out of it, as well as providing Kurduhm with a little flavor (CYBORG MINOTAUR, [REDACTED] YEAH). But, in retrospect, they gained way too much power. I rolled with that, having plans to significantly weaken them (I won't spoil any more than that) once all the hundred-odd fights in Kurduhm stopped.
The Engie's mostly been limited to his weapons (established as Rescue Ranger, Wrangler and Wrench), and his Sentry, Dispenser, and Teleporter, the former having been upgraded by Pi's character and the Dispenser having Space Sphere grafted to it. Zack and Sarah haven't gotten in any fights against anything other than Zombies (and Qada, who's established as overconfident in his own ability and who had quite a time crunch, considering Alf was Stopped nearby and packing a blunderbuss that he'd use the minute Stop wore off), and are having understandable difficulties learning the use of their new weapons. So I don't think it's them.
Possibly Desmond's minions might have triggered this sort of response, but as Desmond is meant to be a dangerous villain, yet has no outstanding abilities of his own, his minions have got to be pretty tough.
The ones I'm concerned with are the Champions. They've been shown to have weaknesses before (for example, Cecilia's Blink Drive overheats if used too much, especially around shadow energy) Their personalities have been harder to flesh out in the middle of combat (except for Dan, who's always over-the-top in any situation), and while Walton's fists were able to hit shadow-based targets from the very beginning, I didn't have ample opportunity to show this ability off. Add a little fatigue from what seemed (to me) like a battle without any end in sight, and things got ugly; there's been one attack connecting on my characters, and that only forced Helena's retreat for a few turns. (Add to that that Arkhov seemed to be immune to everything that was thrown at him...)
I'll try to play the Champs properly from this point.
The XP from the Shadow Spawn was, admittedly, due to boredom with the whole "Dan and Rick keep hitting the shadow spawn and holding them back"; I freely admit I was mostly trying to make myself laugh. Yep, that was a mistake. (With that said, if you kept fighting the same thing, it naturally follows that you'd get better at fighting that thing...)
Also, where do you get the idea that we've seen your characters as weak? I've been getting the opposite idea; I feel like my characters haven't been taken seriously! ...hold on a second, I may be on to something here. Each of us knows our characters really well, but not the other's characters, except in those cases where they're exported from a game we've both played (like Kefka). So it would follow that, when one character has an ability (such as Walton's being able to punch shadows) or immunity (like Arkhov being immune to the majority of non-light-based attacks) that the other doesn't know about, the other is going to be annoyed when it comes into play, whether they should or not. It's like Fire Emblem's Fog of War, except not sadistic on purpose.))

"Aw, geez!" The squadron turned to desperately fire at the missiles, trying in vain to keep them all away. Despite this, about fifteen men were shot out of the sky before flares could properly be deployed, which kept the rest of the missiles away. "We can't keep this up!"
"So, I take it you aren't going to tell me your motives?" Luna Wing sighed. "Look. Me and the two of you are on a different level of power than everyone else here. An opportunity like this doesn't show up every day. And I know you'd rather not have any more vengeful Kurduhm widows chasing you with Gigatanks than you can handle." Luna Wing pointed off the the north. "So why don't we take this fight somewhere else, where we can really cut loose without anyone else getting in the way? You two versus me. Mount Nargabar's peak- it's that way. Coming?"
"Ha HA ha ha ha! Now THAT'S the way I LIKE it!" Kefka grinned as he took the brunt of the spell from the Fire Twins. "All right, now what to do... I KNOW!" Kefka picked up a Super Ball. "Oooh, nooo, a Super Ball. Weak physical damage. The HORROR. That's what you're thinkin' right? Come on, you can tell me! I take secrets to the GRAVE!" Kefka tossed the ball in the air and promptly blasted it with "FLOOD! THUNDAJA! HAHAHAHA! Enjoy!" Kefka promptly hurled the enchanted Super Ball at Soteka, giggling like a maniac.

"As you can see, Sturm..." Qada gestured toward a set of vials. "I've been making progress on my research into the craft of Onomancy. This has far more potential than Profiteur and DeRosa's hare-brained money-making scheme. You remember Report 18, correct?"
"Of course. Go on."
"Well, the means are going to be slightly different..." Qada's teeth flashed in a cruel grin. "But the ends will be exactly the same. I simply require the target's DNA for the salve the report refers to. And it will be very useful to both yourself and Mr. Skurge."
"Indeed." Sturm stared at each vial in turn. "Qada, where Profiteur and DeRosa have been nothing but a waste of resources, you have potential to be a great asset. I will overlook your earlier failure- it seems we all make mistakes. But do not let me down."
"I don't intend to! Mmm hmm hmm hmm hmm... DeRosa's remaining captives have made fine test subjects. I expect, though, that I won't need TOO many more..."

Walton stumbled to the ground upon the scythe suddenly not being there, and when he came to his feet, there stood the clones of him and Helena.
"Ha! It's even got a coil like mine." Helena grinned. "Impressive."
Walton stared at his clone. "So. Who's going to make the first move? You, or me?"
Amy's mouth dropped open as one of the Shadow Spawn took her shape. "Whaaa?!"
"Fear them not, Amy!" Dan brandished his shovel. "Though they may have our shape, and our armaments, we will prevail! Danger Force shall never fall!"
Cecilia stared at her clone. Could it copy her Watch's temporal effect? If so, did it start with the same cooldown she started with? Obviously this clone would be blinking about, but could the Blink Drive overheat? Did it have her capacity for intelligence? Did it have her tactical ability? Did its revolver have the same limitations as hers? Did it have abilities she didn't? Did those eyes change its vision at all? How about the others? Did the clone of Dan have water left in his tank? Could they run out of ammo?
"Hmm." Cecilia, her eyes trained on her opposite, began mentally taking apart her own allies. Who would be best against who...
"Ohh, yeah. It's duelin' time, isn't it?" Rick lifted his rocket launcher. "I'm designed for danger! And this is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS! Oh, YEAH!"
Turbo roared and charged forward, knocking one boulder aside before being struck in the shoulder by another. "OW! HEY, CUT THAT OUT! THAT'S CHEAP!"
"Sir Turbo!" Uther stayed calm, keeping his tomahawk drawn, as he sidestepped through the storm of rocks. "Keep a cool head, lest you be struck down by these stones!" Uther watched the Earth Beast carefully, looking for some opening.

"Wait, can you dip Scanbot in molten lava?" asked Lance.
"WOW, REAL NICE," said Scanbot.
"I'll just stay here," said Lance
"I SHOULD JUST FORM MY OWN GROUP AND RUN AWAY FROM ALL OF YOU. ALL OF YOU ARE REDUCING MY IQ JUST BY BEING NEAR YOU."
"I didn't know fish had markets," the inkling said once she heard that the big door led to the fish market.
"SEE WHAT I MEAN?" said Scanbot
"I didn't know your 'IQ' could get more reduced."
"IT'S BECOME LOWER, NOT GET MORE REDUCED. YOU ARE- AHH, I CAN'T SCAN ANYTHING!" said Scanbot as he was splashed with orange ink. The inkling then went with Sonus, Severa, Cynthia, and Claptrap.
--Kurduhm, Fish Market--
((I need to come up with a name for the Inkling already))
The Inkling walked out of the big doors to find lots of rain and a dense fog. "Erm, where did this come from?" she asked herself.
"HELLO, WELCOME!" said someone.
"Wha-" asked the Inkling as she turned to look at the person. This person was infact, the demon merchant from a longish time ago holding some sort of rod with stopped the rain in a small ball surrounding him so that the rain didn't hit him.
"I assume you're here to buy some fish, well then, I have many fish and fish dishes for sale."
"No thanks."
"Are you sure?" said the demon merchant, who then pulled out a scroll which opened up to reveal a LONG list of fish and dishes made with fish.
"Yeah, could I buy your wand thing?"
"You can buy the rod of water displacement for the low low price of 90000."
"What? Where am I supposed to get that money? Although, what's this thing called 'Calamari'?" asked the Inkling as she pointed to something on the scroll.
"Uh, that? Oh that's a dish made of, erm- It costs 50. It's on a limited .000000000001% discount right now."
"I guess I could try it," said the Inkling as she gave him some money.
"Well, umm, enjoy your, Calamari, heh."
"I hope I like it," said the Inkling as she ate a bit of the Calamari, "Hey, this tastes kinda good. What's it made of?"
"Well, umm, how do I explain this? It's made of, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, should I say it? It's made of squid," said the demon merchant. Instantly the Inkling spat the Calamari out and dropped the rest of it in disgust.
((This is more of a bump post then anything.))
Sonus looked around at the busy fish market, it was loud and he could barely hear himself think, it was slightly annoying. With a wave of his hand the whole block went silent, sound stopped coming from peoples mouths. The crowd then broke out in a silent panic, although without the screams of the people it seemed like less then a problem then it really was. The crowd ran around trying to get sound to come out of there mouths but nothing came out.
'Woups, didn't mean to have that happen.' Sonus flicked his finger and sound returned, although that didn't make anything better, the people were still panicking but now the screams could be heard.
"What a bother, well I guess ill go find everyone before they get lost." Sonus took a near by precooked fish and bit its head off. After looking through the crowd long enough he found the inkling. "Yo squidy, found ya. Now to find the rest." He gave a pat on the head to the inkling and offered some of his fish. He then yelled loud enough for anyone in the fish market to hear him. "Follow my voice. Marco!" He then turned to the inkling. "To be honest I kind of wanted this to be an execution ground but eh, can't win them all."
((I kinda screwed up and forgot to post. I will, however, have a post up here shortly.))
--Kurduhm, Bunker Area--
The Engie lifted his Rescue Ranger, wondering what that was. Were they leaving, or charging a big attack?
--Kurduhm, Fish Market--
Severa sighed. "You just had to do that... when did it start pouring down rain like this?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Everybody, calm down."
A short guy with a huge scraggly beard and moustache and wild hair walked around the corner, and manages to calm the populace down. "Ha! So you're those supposed 'dangerous criminals'- whoa, whoa, no need for guns right now! No worries, everyone. These people are likely to be no threat. See? They've got their weapons sheathed."
A low murmur runs through the crowd, and then they slowly get back to their business.
The guy turns toward Sonus. "Sound guy, right? Ha! Ertha told me about you. And this must be Severa. 'Dangerous Criminal', or so Mr. Profiteur said. I'm Myles. Pleased to meet ya."
Severa shook her head. "You don't honestly believe..."
"Of course not! Word is, Profiteur disappeared." Myles shook his head. "Maybe it was all part of the plan. Anyway, we've got a lot of things to do... invaders an' marauders see to think the place is open season."
"Invaders and marauders?!" Cynthia's brow furrowed. "Show me where they are!"
"That's the spirit! ...But for the most part, we've got it under control. Most of the danger zones have been evacuated." Myles pointed toward the Judicial Center. "You're going to want to wait at the Judicial Center. Not for too long, don't worry- it's just to ensure Profiteur really was lying."
Gerome nodded, slowly. "If you've been having invaders, then we'd better prove we're not invaders. Minerva!"
Gerome's Wyvern walked out of the door. "Mrrgh?"
"Yes, we'll get some rest soon enough."
-Kurduhm, Vault-
"Make fun of your abilities? Oh, dear. Sorry... I tend to list ways other people can improve. The rest of the Eight looks to me for advice, what with me being the oldest."
Ertha smiles. "You're doing very well, dear- worked faster than I could have. Though... I notice you haven't been working as much with anything in the metal that wasn't steel. Is that a limit of your own abilities?" Ertha smiles. "What you've done with the steel, of course, was very effective. You simply needed to work with the other minerals to lower the temperature at which the metal turns brittle. Otherwise, DeRosa could just cool the sphere and break out- mages are tricky."
Ertha turns toward Scanbot and Lance. "Why, you two... you remind me of Smash Rock when he was younger. My goodness, that boy was impossible to teach..."
"From what I know about Scanbot... yeah, that fits." Wes shook his head.
"So, ma'am, uh..." Scout asked, "How long's it gonna be?"
"Oh, just a few more minutes. Desidia, could you start moving the ball down the path I've made from the 2% Chromium Steel? Gently, please. We need to make sure the antimagic doesn't break."

"POLO!" said some random person that has no significance to anything whatsoever, I just wanted to do that.
"Yeah, it'll probably be good to get some shelter from this storm at the Judicial something," said the Inkling, "Who's that over there?" The Inkling pointed towards two childish figures in the fog. One looked like a girl who appeared to be buying fish, the other appeared to be a boy who was a few feet away, they appeared to be siblings.
"So you haven't heard of the children of the destroyed planet?" said someone behind them.
"Wha-" said the Inkling as she turned around to look at the speaker. The speaker was a man with a scarf over his mouth and had white hair. He appeared to be carrying an umbrella made of ice. He also seemed to lower the temperature a few degrees just by being there. (Also he has appeared in this thread before)
"There's nothing wrong with not knowing about them as they come from another universe, so naturally the people of this universe don't know anything of their story. It's said that a long time ago there were three of the siblings, two boys one girl, each of them got along very well. One day however, one of the boys went missing, on that same day some dark one appeared and rained destruction and chaos on the people below. Because of the times boy went missing and the dark one appearing being similar, it is speculated that the dark one may somehow be the boy. That is actually true. Only a few know what happened to the boy making him like that and fewer people such as myself know why the boy is like that. The dark one even attacked the other siblings and their parents. Their parents protected the siblings while they sent their children to another world, the parents couldn't survive the dark one's fury, and died. I might as well mention now they were what you people define as a ‘god’. Even though they died, they still managed to get their children far away from that planet. The dark one continued to rain chaos on the planet and it soon went from a beautiful planet full of life to a barren lifeless wasteland. That dark one other places and has since then randomly terrorized random cities every now and then, as for the siblings, they continue to chase the dark one in hopes that they can free their brother," the man looked down at the inkling and noticed it fell asleep, then he turned towards anyone else who was listening, "Sorry didn't realize you were listening.”
--Kurduhm, Vault--
"I swear it has never insulted anyone before, it never talked before either," said Lance.
"GENTLY? WHAT IDIOTS, DON'T YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO DO IT FAST BEFORE HE ESCAPES? LET ME SHOW YOU HOW IT'S DONE YOU IDIOTS WHO HAVE AN IQ OF 23!" Scanbot started repeatedly bumping into the sphere, but with how small he was it probably did nothing.
"No, bad Scanbot. No treat for you!" said Lance as he picked up Scanbot so Scanbot would stop bumping into the sphere
"WHAT ARE YOU," said Scanbot as its wheels were still rolling in order to try (and fail) to escape, "AN IDIOT PERSON WHO COULD HAVE RULED THE WORLD FOREVER, BUT NOOOO, YOU HAD TO GO SOFTIE ON THOSE DUMMIES WHO HAVE AN IQ OF 34 AND LOSE, THEN YOU JOIN THEM ON THEIR QUEST AND BECOME A PROTAGONIST IN THE NEXT GAME. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, DOING THAT JUST TO GET THEIR TRUST UP SO YOU CAN KILL THEM AND RETAKE THE WORLD IS FINE BUT YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT! HOW COULD YOU, YOU BIG SOFTIE, IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE THE WORLD THEN I WILL, I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WITH AN IQ OF 23. I LIKE LONG ROLLS ON THE BEACH AND KILLING PEOPLE WITH AN IQ OF 23. YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A ROOM," Scanbot began spinning its wheels more violently.
"Can you please throw him in lava or something?"
"SO YOU THINK YOU CAN GET RID OF ALL YOUR PROBLEMS BY THROWING THEM IN LAVA, WELL YOU HAVE AN IQ OF 0."
--Candyland, Friendinator 2000 Building--
((Red doesn't actually have a pitchfork here))
"What happened friends?" asked the Marshmallow as it came out, it looked at the chocolate bunny who was now crying. "What's wrong?" the marshmallow asked.
"THE MEANIES ESCAPED, WAAAAAH!"
"Well, the meanies are probably headed towards where the meanness portal was, except maybe we sealed it, maybe we didn’t, I forgot. Someone should go and tell the meanies they're going the wrong way and point them towards the official Candyland friendship portal, and then bring the meanies back here using hugs and friendship so we can make them FRIENDS AND WE CAN GIVE THEM HUGS! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
"I'm on it for FRIENDSHIP! YAY!" said the chocolate bunny as it ran out of the Friendinator 2000 building and towards where Plague Knight went.
((Options: A. Escape through the portal they came through. B. Let the bunny catch up to them somehow, confirming the portal is sealed and start a likely boring quest-line in Candyland unless I make some random bounty hunter come there and hunt them down for no reason. I recommend option A.))
--Cat Temple--
There appeared to be a few stone cat faces on the wall which probably hid deadly neurotoxin (Not really, it's just regular toxic gas), though since they're robots that shouldn't really hurt them.
--Kurduhm, fish market--
Sonus listened to what the man had to say. He nodded his head after the man was done. "Its fine, no need to say sorry." Sonus looked over at the two kids in the fog. "Interesting story they got there. I wonder." Sonus poked the inkling on the head and waved his hand gesturing for the inkling to follow. "Come on squidy, lets go see what's going on over there. Screw the Judicial thingy." Sonus started walking over towards the two kids, and on the way tagged the random person that has no significance to anything whatsoever. "Your it."
He stopped about a yard away from the kids and spoke. "Yo."
--Kurduhm, Vault--
"God! Is there any way to shut that thing up!" Desidia covered one of his ears with his hand in hopes to drown scan bot out just a little. It didnt work. He faced Ertha and smiled a little. Desidia smiled and nodded at everything Ertha was saying although most of it flew over his head "Yeah, that is my limit, just steel. I can kind of control the things that make up steel but not as well." Desidia looked around for Scamory ((I have no idea if hes out or not but im going to assume that Scamory is in its pokeball.))
"Hey where did that steel bird go? I liked him a lot." Desidia let out a HUGE and over exaggerated yawn. "So... sleepy... need... carry me." Desidia feel to his knees, his eyelids slowly falling over his eyes.
--Kurduhm, Fish Market--
"Oh, are you SERIOUS? They're not going to die while we're-"
"No worries!" Myles shrugged. "This whole thing sounds like another threat to the city, what with that 'Dark One'. I should be looking into this anyway."
"...Okay, then." Severa let out a long sigh of relief.
"If just one of you could take care of it, though, it'd be a lot easier on us later... we all know how politics get... hmmm."
Gerome looked down at Claptrap. "How about the short guy?"
"I'm not short, minion! But I can do your legal stuff. I am an omni-savant in-"
"Excellent!" Myles motioned for a soldier to escort Claptrap to the Judicial Center.
--Kurduhm, Vault--
"Oh, for the love of..." Ertha kept the ball shut. "This thing isn't going anywhere if he stays asleep. There must be some better way to go about this..."
"Like letting me out, perchance?"
"Pfft." Ertha shook her head. "Never. Hmm... only able to work with steel and its component elements... interesting."
--Candy Land--
"Run! Run like a tornado is chasing you with a laser sword!" Plague Knight briefly stopped to ponder what a tornado with a laser sword would be like, before continuing his swift run in the direction of the portal, tossing flask bombs around as he went.
"Freedom is almost here! HEEEEE! And my buddy Messemup, or whatever his name is, can't WAIT to see what you can do, magic lady! HEE HEE!" Then Plague Knight switched to a serious, low-key tone of voice as he asked, "You can do magic, right?"
--Cat Temple--
"Hmm. Cat faces. Probably going to spray us with a fire jet-"
Epsilon's bullets triggered a pressure plate, cuing a release of the poison gas. "Oh, geez!"
"-or that. All right, Alex, get to someplace where the poison won't hurt you! The gas SHOULD float out through that hole we dug! The three of us are fine, though- deactivate any biorespirative functions."
"OKdonenowlet'shurrybeforeAlexchokesinhere."
Alright, character applications so I can get something so I don't have to find my old character's info and still roleplay like I like it, please.
((Wait what do you need? Do you want someone to make a character application skeleton sheet for you?))
((Yeah, pretty much, character application for... well, creating a character in the roleplaying game.))
((App for original character. Any question with a * before it is optional.

*Personalty:
*Backstory:
*Anything else you want to say that I didn't cover.

Hope this helps))
((Thanks! :D
Name: Zekrua
*Powers: Zekrua has the power of fire, and he even has weapons and armor based off of the element fire.
*Personalty: Zekrua is willing to accept a fight if someone teases him, though is usually kind.
*Backstory: Zekrua was at his home volcano(Yes, he DOES live in a volcano, which is reason for the powers part being mainly fire) when it erupted unexpectedly. Zekrua was blasted out along with some volcanic debris.
*Anything else you want to say that I didn't cover.
He is at the bottom of the volcano, waiting for the lava slide to end.
Due to natural instincts of living in a volcano, he can dodge everything he senses is near him.
He has volcanic wings that are immune to fire and lava for obvious reasons that he uses to get to the top of his volcano quickly. Though he may also use them for traveling to one o' his friends' house for a visit, so he's naturally been using them for getting around here and there.
Zekrua often wears blue jeans and a T-shirt under his lava- and fire-resistant armor, and sometimes since he got used to the heat by mutual effects he can actually swim in lava. It takes place of swimming in water, for him.
Hope that's not too OP. The wings work nicely with the character either way, so I prefer keeping them, even if I can't use them in the roleplay.. :) l )
((The wings are fine, I think the only problem is the dodge everything thing, that sounds slightly OP. If you want to create a place to start roleplaying I will jump in, and for the record you could have just jumped in, no need to be all formal about it XD))
((Personally, I think we have enough fire-themed characters at the moment.))
((I should go over some properties that I've considered establishing into the RP.
All forms of life and undead are able to use Energy, which is something of an extension of their life force. As the Undead are, well, not alive, their Energy output is far weaker than the living. All Energy falls under two primary categories: Magic, the refined form of Energy that, although used by many if not most, is fairly difficult to control; and Chaos, the raw form of Energy which, while much simpler to control, is highly dangerous to use and manipulate. Anyone can use either forms of Energy, but few choose to do this and even fewer can master both.
Chaos, being the raw Energy, can easily overpower Magic. However, one must be able to master its destructive power in a similar fashion to mastering the use of Magic.
Doc, before I post, what happened to Erk and Serra? Are they not gonna react to Soteka's teleport and Obakun's charge towards them?))
((@Zhaver
No, no, you don't get it. He doesn't dodge everything, just the things he can sense. That makes sense, because you can detect falling debris usually. He may not dodge but parry some things he senses, but the only way to hit him is to be very quiet, pretend you're not there, and make it so that he also pretends you're not there, without him even knowing you are there. Pretty difficult, but magic should help with that. After all, it makes sense, he has to dodge LOTS of debris, given his home.
@Sono
But I already made the backstory! I don't wanna make another one to change my character from fire-based to some other elemental character type! :( ))
-Zekrua, Volcano Disaster-(I presume that's how this works)(And yes, the volcano was given its name to how many times per day it erupts, and how lethal those eruptions are)
"Well, that was unexpected." I say as I walk along(Is it okay if I use In Character for roleplaying?) the lonely volcano, waiting until the volcano eruption stops. I hate it when the volcano does that. It can seriously screw up my experiments in my lab inside the volcano. I certainly hope that the cloning machine can either not be damaged or be repaired easily after the damage done. Man, it would suck to have to build a whole new cloning machine! To think how much work I spent on that thing!
((@Tender, oh ok, and your fine with your character if its that much of a problem that you can't make another. Like I said in the last post, just start a place for us to roleplay and I will join.))
((Drat, I should've known I'd forgot something. But... what charge towards Erk and Serra? Obakun just told Vortak to deal with the flying pests. Torghast attacked Luna (which I admittedly failed to address), and Vortak fired his missiles.
On worlds of your making, the metaphysics can be whatever you want (within reason, of course... unless that's the point of the world is that there IS no reason). You can have a world where neither chaos nor magic works, and instead the main "force" is bagel lasers. (I'm sober, I swear!)
I imagine a baseline, however, as allowing Chaos more raw power, while allowing Magic easier control and more details available. For example, the advantage with Chaos is that the fireball hits harder in a wider area, but the disadvantage would be that it's harder to put the fireball in the precise spot you need the fireball, and it's harder to do stuff like delay the blast or make the fireball orbit a certain target. So magic gets adaptability while chaos gets power. (And laser beams get a mix of the two.)
Maybe we should start rolling dice... naaah. It'd get too complicated and we'd just be arguing over who is X good at Y and who is better at Z, W or V. That might have been what killed Yore of Almire, and Machinauts was designed specifically for dice.
Also, welcome, Tender! The general consensus for "Out-of-character" seems to be "use double parenthesis" like I'm doing here. Anyway, simply follow Thin's rules and play nice (something I, admittedly, need to brush up on as well), and we should be fine!))
--Kurduhm, Residential District-- (continued)
"Thanks. We'll return the favor."
"Be careful out there! If you get hurt, head straight to us!"
Serra looked up at Luna Wing. She was fending off Torghast's attacks with her sword, but a few of those blows looked like they hurt. "Erk, what should we do now?"
"All right, let's think about this somewhere we won't be found."
Erk led Serra behind some rubble. "Okay, who do you think we should try to take out?"
"That one." Erk pointed toward Vortak. "Depending on how this goes... he's got enough firepower to destroy us ten times over. But... he's an automaton of some kind, composed of armor. And armor tends to be conductive to magic."
"So you're saying our attacks will work best on him?"
Erk shrugged. "I'm saying it's the best chance we've got. But he's a quick one. So we'll have to strategize..."
"Maybe I could make a really noisy spell and you could make a really quiet spell?"
Erk nodded. "You're catching on quickly. But just in case our attack goes awry..."
"Rexcalibur?"
"...That's worked well enough in the past. It should be useful for backpedaling or throwing off his aim."
"What about those... explodey-things he shoots?" Serra shook her head. "I don't see us dodging all of them."
"Of course not." Erk hung his head. "That's what I'm worried about..."
--Volcano Disaster-- ((This is the name of the place, right?))
"Now where am I..."
Princess Lei Tency. Guardian of the Lag Rift. Ruler-to-be of the Interlocked Kingdoms. No sense of direction whatsoever. While traversing the Kingdoms, Tency had fallen into a rift in space-time (darn things were EVERYWHERE these days for some reason) and ended up in a world that most likely took itself much more seriously than her homeworld.
"I mean, look at this." Tency stared at Volcano Disaster, not knowing what it was called. "A volcano area and there aren't parodies about convection currents. I'm worried... I might find myself dragged into something that's actually pretty grim."
Wait a minute, Tency thought. Why are you talking to yourself? "Because I can, ME. And it DOESN'T make me crazy. Now, it's time for the obligatory searching for things!"
Ensuring her Lag Bracer was on tight, Tency began scouring the area for any signs of anything...
((Yep. She's back. And Translation Trainwreck may show up as well, depending on the silliness (or seriousness) of what goes on here.))
-Volcano Disaster-(How do you make things bold?)(And yes, that's the place I'm at.)
I look around. I see someone here. Right here. In the middle of a complete disaster. I walk up to her, obviously wearing my lava-proof armor so my jeans and T-shirt don't get scorched.
"Why are you here? How did you get here? Why aren't you trying to find your way OUT of here?" I ask.
((This post is pretty much pointless given how small it is
Well, I might as well add Ailill back in the game too. Maybe later Nylocke might show up again
EDIT: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/filter/tips))
--Volcano Disaster--
Ahead of her was Ailill, who took a giant rock to the face.
((EDIT: Somehow I got ninja'd.))
--Volcano Disaster--
Without answers taken, I hurry to the other person, who was apparently ahead of the other person, and ask those same questions.
"Why are you here? How did you get here? Why aren't you trying to find your way OUT of here?"
--Volcano Disaster--
"Oh, no need to worry." Tency shrugged. "I'm the Lag Princess, guardian of the Lag Rift. The heat around me isn't registering at all. I found myself here because there's far too many dimensional gates in my kingdom- honestly, it's ridiculous- and I'm currently trying to find out just where I am in the universe."
Tency followed the strange guy in the lava suit to Ailill's location. "Ah, you're the one that agreed before to help me fight the Terrible Order of Unprecedented Hatred and Overt Unpleasantness! I... think. ...Are you all right? It appears you've taken a rock to the face."
"Trust me. This is REAL dangerous. You guys should get out and FAST," I say as I just dodge a falling rock the size of an asteroid. "You definetely don't want to get hit by any of the falling rocks, much less even TOUCH the lava that's scurrying towards you. It's only luck I was born in this mountain with fireproof wings."
((Oh, by the way, can I have two characters? It gives me more stuff to post about, and the character I have in mind will not be fire-based. Character application for if I can:
Name: Sheik(Not LoZ Sheik)
*Powers: Sheik was intended by her parents to be of use for fire magic, so they taught her how to use it, but it's like a secondary magic type, as she much prefers to use ice magic.
*Personalty: Sheik, like Zekrua, is willing to accept a fight if someone teases him, though is usually kind.
*Backstory: Sheik was marching up the glacier that served as her home when an avalanche sent her back down the exact way she snowboarded. Being an ice magic user, she was able to escape from underneath the snow, but still had to restart her march up. So she headed over to Zekrua's volcano, having both a set of cold-proof armor and a set of lava- and fire-proof armor, though she herself made the cold-proof armor. Zekrua forged the fire armor for her, so she thought she might visit him because he was the only place this would be of much use at.
*Anything else you want to say that I didn't cover.
Sheik and Zekrua are twins, so they have quite a bit in common.))
((EDIT: Yeah, you can have two characters))
--Volcano Disaster--
Ailill answered with, "Because some NPC gave me a quest, I used the teleporter to warp to the nearest town and went here, because some NPC gave me a quest."
Ailill turned towards Tency, "Yeah, I know you. Don't worry about me, I'm the guardian class."
"Being the guardian class won't help you here. No matter what you're wearing, it will NOT help." I point out.
--Candyland, Friendinator 2000 area--
Then I fell out of the sky and distract the Plague knights.
Edit: BETTER?
