I've farmed some radiant crystals as well - enought to fully heat up several weapons. So I'm in safe for now.

Yet, I agree, the drop for radiand fire crystals is ridiculously low. When I finish a danger mission on elite difficulty for Vanguards, I expect at least several 5* crystals, not over 30 of 4*. I ran with my friend few days ago through whole arcade (0-29) on elite. How many 5* fire crystals we've obtained? Insane amount of 3(!) crystals. Oh wow, I'm gonna heat up so much stuf with it.

For now, for me at least, the only one place I can farm radiants is (gasp!) FSC.

I don't expect to get radiants from every depth of stratas 5 and 6, but for god's sake! I hoped last bugfix would do anything with it.

To people saying "lol buy those from supply depot" - don't expect some people to pay 700 energy for 50 crystals. 100 energy more and I can have new weapon 5*. If those were cheaper - sure, I can buy some.

They said the new boss would be T3 though, so I doubt that the Radiants will be there. If they are (and OOO isn't lying, which is completely and utterly impossible), then they'd make it so that D21-D29 would have crystals at one point in the clockworks but not at another? That's weird.

Well I understand and annoyed of the new drop rates of rarities, like the time i found a eternal at RJP >_>, but I do feel that the radiant fire crystals are going to make a come back in the next mission Arc. No not boss, Arc, since they did state that they will be making missions to a new boss. I presume that this new arc will travel farther below the depth past the core. Why I assume this, simple Apocrea already exist past the core on D30 as the final floor. This assumes that we can go to a deeper depth that is past the core but not into it. Even though they drag you through their realm, does not mean that we cannot have a 7th stratum, which does exist secretly, without opening the core.

Now what I am by 7th stratum that is secretly hidden, is exactly what I said secretly hidden... inside danger rooms.... on the 6th stratum. Now here is something for those that do not know about +1 stratum difficult in danger rooms. Basically in danger rooms, monsters spawn as if they are in the difficult in the next stratum that is why danger rooms are refereed to as danger rooms. So want a large amount of Radiants just head for Arcade stratum 6 and enter and complete every danger room you come across. Also due to the change of rarity drops it is a -1 stratum in drop rates but D28+ is considered a bridge between 6th and 7th stratum where Radiants have a chance to drop. You neccessarily do not have to grind FSC D28 for Radiants you are better off locating an Arena on D28 to produce Radiants this is what I do and currently doing during this drop rate catastrophe.

So here is a break down for those that want to find Radiant Fire Crystals:

Slight chance for Slight Radiant Drops; D28, D29
Arenas on D28 are better to farm Radiants due to high yield of Chests.

High Chance for Slight Radiant Drops; Stratum 6-Danger Rooms
Decent number of chest and Stratum 7 difficult based drop rates

Abcdz well Danger rooms represent the difficulty equivalence by their Stratum +1 counterpart.

Example:

Stratum 6 D24 Danger Room Difficulty = Stratum 7 ~D30 Difficulty

Also their is Mode Difficulty so if you are not up for the task of elite drop to advance or normal you will at least yield more Radiants then D28 FSC. Also friendly help is also a great assistance in your adventures in grinding Radiants in Danger Rooms. Oh, last but not least knowing the arena before hand will keep you keep alive in most cases.... except that blasted gun puppy one >_> i really hate that one.

I've seen depth +2 or 3, not stratum +1.
Its most noticable when doing stratum 2 danger areas. D5 do not spawn T2 monsters, but D6 does.

Silence may not be better but when the crowd is already outraged sometimes it is best to silently fix things (see lol to /laugh incident posted above). They mentioned the drought once and I remember seeing something like "we are still making adjustments to the drop rate" posted by them. After that people jumped on that post and proceeded to tell them it was the wrong thing to do. Yes, I hate the silence as well but you cant really blame them when all the villagers already sharpened their pitchforks and are at the front door (see Frankenstein's monster for a good example).

OOO has this bad habit of making "boo boos" and not admitting them, at the same time they do fix most of them (Im looking at you sentenza charge). They are also known for taking their sweet time so I have learned to be patient and wait it out. This is why I am just telling people (not specifically you) to wait until after the apocrea is finished to go on the witch hunt.

First of all, a stratum change infers a monster difficulty change. Its hard to tell what type of monsters spawn in the T3 danger areas because you have to compare their armor (T4 type monsters are identical to T3 except have more armor/damage). This phenomena occurs on danger rooms D26-28 sometimes (I havent yet figured out the +2 or +3 depth shift completely, but it picks one and scales accordingly).

Second of all, by your +1 stratum analysis danger rooms for depth 26-28 drop only radiants. They do not.

Thirdly, its been stated multiple times now - Shadow lairs are the best radiant farming. Why? They are Stratum 7 already.

Finally, I have not yet seen any radiants from D24 danger rooms. I assume the rarity is the same as D26/D27, and are very scarce - but still possible.

Anyways, danger rooms on even stratums on elite are always worth the 3CE cost if you can clear it. Payouts on D5-7 do in fact make a profit. Odd stratums often do not provide profit, even D19-22 (they often break even on elite).

I'm just glad I got the essential 5-stars fully heated before these shenanigans started.

Granted probably less than half of my 95 5-star pieces of gear were heated, but still.

So long as they continue to blatantly ignore this HUGE issue, I will not be purchasing anything with real $.

That's not true. I've gotten 3 Sparks of Life through Green Boxes when I was Punkin King Farming. Orbs, however, I have no clue. Haven't gotten any since the Update.

When I said shift, I meant more likely from red boxes (compared to old rate) and less likely from green (compared to old rate). Red boxes are really rare unless you fight bosses/danger areas. I dont have enough data (~1/4 the "before change" data) yet to confirm the new rates, but its just an initial observation and hypothesis.

If we ignore danger areas, last boss levels, and treasure vaults...
The ratio is worse than that. I'm reading 1467 green to 48 red. Thats about 1:30.

The forge is the alternative system to the energy system. And honestly heating up 5* items is only a little bit helpful. small damage bonus + small Chargetime bonus on weapons, and small defense bonus + small health bonus on armors.

HEY, Idea, why dont you buy trinket slots, theyre cheap and last 30 days each, and while youre at it why dont you UV your gear in the meantime.

but honestly the T3 crystals need a little bit of a droprate tweak (higher droprate), but i dont mind if 5* crystals arent edited, all i need is 4* stuff to be able to craft. (speedrunning first depth of FSC is really good, 3-15 (rarely 0) 4* crystals per 5 minutes of your time.)

TL;DR i like the new forge system, could use a bit of a fix, but other than that nothings really changed in terms of gear progression speed.

After some testing on a gate that appeared a few days ago with a gear level on d28 I can confirm that you are full of crap. The drop rates from danger rooms aren't any different than the rest of the level. D27 has an extremely low drop rate and radiants on 24-26 are non existent even in danger rooms.
