Here is my list of suggestions. This list will NOT contain major suggestions such as sprite ideas, etc... I've created this thread (List of suggestions) for the sake of threads cluttering with each other. Here, you'll find some great ideas, ideas bringing new things such as new features, new items, etc... and perhaps some small suggestions. I acknowledge this thread here (by Luguiru) and and here (by Hexzyle) because of how the lists of ideas are well-thought, and I believe that they deserve recognition.
Ok, here we go:

█ SECTION 1: FEATURES AND ADDITIONS █
- Display the remaining time of a coliseum game
- Option to display your sprite's name and appetite
- Rare chance of a recipe dropping in the clockworks
- Inspecting friends / guildmates that are offline
- New friend list features
- 1 - Sorting friend(s) list by last login, etc.
- 2 - Multi-deleting friends on your friend(s)
- Auction house features and additions
- Accessing the Auction House mostly from wherever you are
- Auction wishlist feature
- Ability to subscribe to Haven services for mail
- Players switching between classic and modern icons
- Trade history
- Suggestions for the supply depot
- 1 - Weekly sales
- 2 - Buying and quanitity
When you go to the spectate list, put a timer under each game. The timer would be updated every time you check the spectate list.
There should be an option where your sprite's name and appetite is displayed as you hover around Haven, the clockworks, etc.. Only you could see your sprite's name and appetite displayed. How would it look like? Well, your sprite name would be displayed on top of the appetite. Every time appetite goes up, a bar is filled. If down, a bar will fade away. As for the the arsenal, there will be 5 small bars under your sprite(s). Same thing for the display. If the appetite goes up, a bar is filled. If down, then a bar fades away.
There should be a rare chance of a recipe dropping in the clockworks. You would find them in boxes (Higher chance in red boxes, lower chance in green boxes). The boxes will NOT drop 0* and 1* recipes. A recipe would drop from a box depending on the stratum. For example:
Stratum 3: 2 star recipe
Stratum 4: 2 star recipe, 3 star recipe
Stratum 5: 2 star recipe, 3 star recipe, 4 star recipe
Stratum 6: 2 star recipe, 3 star recipe, 4 star recipe, 5 star recipe
Drop rates:
2 star recipe - .05% chance
3 star recipe - .04% chance
4 star recipe - .02% chance
5 star recipe - .01% chance
These recipes would be UNBOUND.
There should be an option to inspect your friends / guildmates that are offline. There would be an option whenever you want to allow your friends / guildmates to inspect you offline and online or just online. If you allow your friends / guildmates to inspect you while you're offline, then you could choose to either turn off full inspection or turn on full inspection. Now you may think that this is a useless feature. It's just a mini feature.
We should be able to organize our friends list. For example, Canine has a long list of friends and reached the friend limit. He wants to do a cleanup on his friend list to see if there are any players who are inactive. If this feature was implemented, it would save a lot of time and be a convenient feature.
In addition to the first feature (sorting friend(s) list), it would also be convenient to multi-delete players on your friend(s) list. It would work like this: You would have to go to social tab > friends list > options > Multi-delete friends. You would be able to click on any friend. IT WOULD NOT WORK ON GUILD MEMBERS (Not the rank itself. The players in the guild). Once you clicked on the desired players that you wish to delete from your friends list, you would click "Delete selected knights". A prompt would pop up and ask if you're sure. Once that has been done, it'd probably take a while to multi-delete. If possible, maybe it'd take a second.
Currently, players would go to Haven and make the auction house crowded with players and possibly lowers fps. At the same time, players want to check out the auction house while they are waiting for their next match. One feature that could be implemented is to let players check the auction house using some sort of Spiral HQ tech/device. The player would have to press a hotkey to pull out the AH tech/device. The animation would be that the knight wold be scrolling and swinging their finger on the screen. However, there are some parts which have been limited:
-You cannot make auctions or bids
-When searching for an item, it would only show 5 pages maximum or less of the item
-Same goes for when you're looking at a specific category (5 pages maximum). There would be random items in that category. It would rotate every 5 minutes perhaps. You could still search for a specific item though.
-Also, the category would feature "Featured items" (Ex: In rarity category, it would show random rarity auctions.)
In the auction house, let the players put an item that they wish to have in the auction house on their wishlist or put a specific auction. There would be a "Wishlist" tab in the auction house menu. If the player only gave the name of the item, then there would be a few offers on that specific offer. In order to prevent cluttering in the wishlist, the wishlist would have a category only if you specified the name of the item. If you put an auction to your list, then that item would disappear until the time ended, or somebody has bought it.
There should be a way to subscribe to services for mail. For example, if a player wanted to know the new featured auctions every week, then they could subscribe to the Auction House service for mail. There would be a subscribe button in the mail tab and beside "Discard". There would be a list of which services you could subscribe to. Currently, there would be one service that the player could subscribe to and that would be Auction House service. You can cancel the subscription anytime you want.
Make an option to switch between classic and modern icons. No, not the whole UI itself. Just the icons you see in your arsenal in the 2013 UI (Brandish icon, proto bomb icon, etc.). The classic icons would be the icons from the old UI before the 2013 UI update. You would be able to switch the icons into classic by going into your settings and go into the game tab. There would be a scroll track (Or whatever you call it. Those bars that you can move left or right). One side would say modern and the other classic.
Now that you get mail from supply depot trades, please put a "trade history" tab between the "News" and "Mail" tabs in the Spiral Uplink. History and crown trades would NOT count as "energy history" exists as a feature already.
Currently, the supply depot either has rare flash sales or no sales what so ever. So, in order to make the supply depot unique, there could be these happening:
- 1. For all items, there could be a 5% - 10% discount fee for a week.
2. For rarities, there could either be a discount fee (See 1) or an increased quantity unit by 10% - 20%.
Let the players choose the quantity of an item. For example, a player should be able to choose how much sparks of life they want to buy. Each spark of life could be about 20 energy. After passing 200 energy worth of sparks of life, the user can start getting discounts.
--------------------
- Mail account knights for free
When players mail something to their knight in the account, make it free to mail knights account-wide. I don't see how this idea wouldn't work.
☐ 1.1: ALL AROUND FEATURES ☐
- UI: Let us choose what color we want for the UI
Right now, you're stuck with a blue interface. How about letting us choose a color for it? You could design the UI with the following colors/themes:
THEMES
Regal, dusky, cool, fancy, volcanic, military, divine and prismatic (Personal color)
COLORS
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue (default), purple, pink
EVENT-ONLY THEMES / COLORS
Snowy, light blue, brown, shiny prismatic
-You would need a ticket to add these themes / colors to your color pool. Color pool would be a tab in your arsenal.
-You could also obtain some UI themes and colors from events such as Winterfest, Dark Harvest, SK anniversary and BK event.
--------------------
- New commands
- Player disconnection signs
- Toggle Icons
- New Rooms
- New Guild Console Features
1 - /warp (place) - If you do /warp Arcade, you'll be warped to the Arcade. Same thing for the Garrison, Bazaar and Haven.
1.5 - /server (number or language) - Similar to /warp, you would be able to go to another server with a command. If you do /server English and you're in an English server, you would be sent to another server. If you're on a French server and you write /server English, you will be sent to the first English server that is not full. If you do /server 1, you'll be sent to Haven 1. This command will not work if you try warping to the server you're already in.
2 - /confuse - "[Player's name] is confused.". The player would scratch their head looking confused. It's similar to "/shrug".
3 - /mad - "[Player's name] is about to burst with flames!" . The player would have steam coming out from their head and they could possibly stomp their feet.
When a player has disconnected in a party, make it so that player's portrait on the left-hand side would turn gray and put a little disconnection symbol under their name or in their portrait. This would be convenient for the party.
When something like auto-target is enabled, put an icon under the shield bar telling us that auto-target is enabled or if the user does hold-to-toggle. This would be quite convenient and there shouldn't be anything wrong adding this feature.
☐ 1.1: GUILD FEATURES ☐
1. HQ Room - To unlock the HQ room, you would have to expand to the 4th floor. Once that's done, you can purchase this room for 1 million crowns. This room will let you install cameras anywhere in the guild hall (You will receive 5 free cameras, but you can purchase more from Birdsong Emporium). These cameras would let you watch a certain area. The best part is, you can place the camera in any angle / view. There will also be a hologram displaying the map of Haven. You will be able to choose where you would like to warp in Haven. You could have the option to warp to Haven, Hall of Heroes, Lab, Arcade, Bazaar or even warp into other guilds who have the HQ room. (Guilds have the option to let other guilds with the HQ room warp into their HQ.)
2. Ready room area - This would be like a mini ready room for knights to be able to select missions. Of course, this room would be 50,000 crowns only as it doesn't have many features. If there's a coliseum room, then why not this?
3. Library - The library would be unlocked once the 200 membership limit has been purchased and that the guild has expanded to 3rd floor west AND east The cost of the room would be 300,000 crowns. This suggestion is similar to: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/40011#DisplayCases
In the library, you would be able to store stories of your own and find books of guild members. There would be different kinds of books that would be color coded for different ranks. Of course, the GM(s) have the option to change the colors. If a member leaves the guild, then whatever they wrote may be deleted. This is also where people can write their own stories and put it in the library.
There would be a "complain" function as usual. The guild library can store up to 500 books.
--------------------
1. Notification Center - Notification center is like a bulletin board. GM's and officers would be able to make a post to the notification center. Guildmates would have to manually check in the notification center for guild announcements. Sometimes, Spiral HQ could post on the notification center too. For example, they could post the patch notes announcement. Although the GMs have the option to receive certain news. This feature is unlocked once the 150 guild player count extension has been purchased.
2. Officer Seniority - Only guild masters and game masters can access this tab. If a GM wants to know which officer has higher seniority but wants to change it, then the GM can change the seniority. There would be a list of officers and a number associated on the left. The GM can arrange them.
Guild masters cannot do it to other guild masters of the guild. The founder of the guild will always have the highest seniority no matter what. They could disable the ability to change anything in the Officer Seniority feature. Game Masters (Moderators) should be the ONLY ones that can lower the seniority of officers AND any guild master no matter what.
- Item: Lightning Core - Instant level-up food for sprites
- Mobile
☐ 1.2: ITEMS ☐
Every time you throw a promotion which has a prize box, put some kind of battle sprite food which can instantly bring your sprite up by one level. However, you must have a battle sprite whose level is higher than 15, but less than 104. The material would be bound and may not be purchased by any other person other than the prize box.
☐ 1.3: PLATFORM ☐
It would be awesome to see Spiral Knights on mobile. The purpose of this app is to NOT bring the whole game into mobile, but to bring in basic information from the game.
NEWS (Spiral uplink): You'd be able to see the latest patch notes, events and announcements in this section.
MARKET: Also the place for the auction house, you'd be able to check the prices of the items in the auction house or check out the energy market.
WIKI: A built in Spiral Knights Wikipedia
KNIGHT: Information about the user's knight along with stats such as the amount of prestige and time spent in game
Upon logging into the application, the player would also receive a mobile set which features a phone accessory, a blocky helm and a blocky armor.
█ SECTION 2: CLARITY █
- Search Bar in some features
- New friend list features
- 1 - Sorting friend(s) list by last login, etc.
- 2 - Multi-deleting friends on your friend(s)
- AFK players almost having the behavior as a disconnected party member
- Loadout Features
- 1 - Sorting loadouts by tiers in a click
- 2 - Renaming loadouts
- Displaying the perk when hovering over the sprite
- Display approximate waiting time for the coliseum
Mission interface search bar
We should have a search bar in the mission interface. It would make things more easier. For ex: If I wanted to do RJP and I'm a Vanguard, I could use the search bar and search "Royal Jelly Palace".
List of sprite perks search bar
Please put a search bar on top of the list of sprite perks. Players who have a fully leveled up sprite have alot of perks on the list and want to use a certain perk like Swift Steps 2, but they have to find it on their long list of sprite perks.
Guild search bar
There are A LOT of opened guild halls on the list. Sometimes, there are players who want to search for a specific guild hall, but there are a lot of guild halls and they would have to scroll down for a while. Instead, there should be a search bar for the guild list.
Coliseum spectating search bar
A search bar should be placed on the spectate list in the coliseum. There are players who want to spectate perhaps a friend's game or a guildmate. There would be two search bars:
-A search bar to search for players on the spectate list
-A search bar to search for game maps (alphabetical)
When a player is AFK, make it so that they almost have the same behavior as a disconnected player. There would be an "AFK" symbol on top. They could take damage. However, their ER would activate when they're down. That's so the player cannot cheat by making their knight go AFK and use their ER whenever they feel like it.
Please make it convenient to make certain loadouts into PvP/PvE in one click. There would be a mini section in the loadouts tab. On top of the tabs, there would be three categories (Squared shape categories): Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. There would be two small circles. They would show an icon of PvE and PvP. Click on one of them and it would make all of your loadouts the desired game player mode that you want it in.
The category could be in category form or in scroll form. In scroll form, you would have to click an arrow to move to the next category. It would be slightly bigger though.
Instead of having to delete loadouts and then renaming them, why not just put a "rename" button when you click on the loadout? It would certainly be more convenient.
Instead of having to click your sprite and then find the perks tab just to see what perk the sprite has, make it so that when the player hovers their cursor over their sprite in the arsenal, a square pops up displaying the sprite perk. If the player does not have a perk equipped, then the square would not show up.
When a player queues in the coliseum, display the approximate waiting time somewhere. This is so that the player can think twice about whenever they want to queue or not.
█ SECTION 3: UTILITIES █
- Consumables and pickups
- 1 - Pickups / consumables: Make an option what you can pick up and can't pick up
- 2 - Barrier timer
- Usable items
- Rainbow / Colorful fireworks
- Activate snowball AT when a snowball is ready to be used
- New payment method for trinket/weapon/krogmo slots
- Item themes rotation
We should have an option where you can pickup certain consumables. When you go to your games tab, there would be an option to pickup certain consumables. If enabled, there would be a list of consumables that you can choose to pickup and not pickup (Ex: Un-check the sleep vial from the list. Sleep vials will not spawn or they won't be pickable). You could un-check all and give yourself a challenge. Perhaps a challenge to do FSC on elite without any consumables. The consumables would show or not, but will not go onto your belt. In default, everything will be checked on the list.
Please put a timer beside the ER icon or so when a barrier is in use, it would be helpful to players to see whether they still have a barrier floating around them or not.
"During times of celebration, the Spiral Order devotes some of its munitions experts to create spectacular fireworks."
Rainbow / Colorful fireworks would be purchasable in the supply depot every 6 months (June and December) no matter if there's a promotion going on, event or none. It would be available for a month. Since these fireworks are colorful, the price would be higher than the regular colored fire works.
Large colorful (x5) - 225 Energy
Medium colorful (x5) - 175 Energy
Small colorful (x5) - 125 Energy
Once used, it would unleash a variety of random colors twice: 50% chance of red, yellow and green unleashed from this firework, 48% chance of orange, blue, purple and 2% chance of releasing an impact and colorful firework.
When a player has auto-target enabled and is going to throw a snowball, make it so the snowball goes directly towards another player without mising.
If you buy a usable slot, you would be asked whenever you want to buy just one slot or pay monthly for a certain amount of months. If you pay monthly, you would get discounts. For example, if you pay for 2 months, then you would get a discount of 30 energy. The more you pay, the more discounts you get.
In order to prevent exploitation, the slots would be used automatically.
Having the same theme items every year gets boring once in a while. So, there should be new item themes each year that replaces the old themes. So far, there weren't any new themes for Halloween (correct me if I'm wrong), but there was a new theme for Winterfest which was Polar. Replace some themes with newer and unique themes. To make this idea more unique, all the themes of each item would be purchasable from a prize box at the Spiral Anniversary ONLY. Here are some ideas to replace some themes:
Hallow
Creepy (dark orange, light purple), Spooky (Dark purple, light orange)
Frosty
Night (dark blue)
█ SECTION 4: BALANCE AND CHANGES █
- Difficulty mode changes
NORMAL MODE
1) Elevator hints: In Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Arcade), place a few hints on where the elevator is.
ADVANCED MODE
1) Smart enemies: Make enemies half smart and half dumb.
ELITE MODE
1) Chromalisk: In elite mode, make it so Chromalisks are hard to detect. Make it so hard, that the player's eye (In real life) can't see much of the chromalisk's invisible blurry shape.
2) Wolvers: In Stratum 6, make wolvers twice as fast than the current ones.
3) Smart enemies: In Tier 1, make enemies slightly smarter than they are currently. In Tier 2, make enemies at least 75% smart. In Tier 3, make enemies 100% smart. Right now, the majority of the enemies are not smart.
- Hall of heroes : Solution to stop players from buying a recipe that they already own
- Filter for requests
- Health Bar
- Ability to place consumables in empty vial slots
- Queue penalty for leaving a coliseum game
There are lots of people who buy a recipe from the Hall of heroes, but already own. Here are some solutions to stop the situation where players buy a recipe from the HoH that they already own:
- 1. In the Hall of heroes, replace the blue diamond into a yellow / green diamond if a player owns the recipe already.
- 2. Take out the recipe from the Hall of Heroes after it has been purchased.
- 3. When a player has owned the recipe already, please make the font for "Recipe Known" bigger and make it flash for 10 seconds.
Give the option to block requests. This includes blocking guild invites, friend requests, etc;
For guild invites: Give the option to "ignore" a guild. This would prevent them from spamming guild invites in your mail. You can, however, visit their guild hall.
For friend requests: Yes, there's an "ignore list" function. Give an option to block friend requests based on rank (For example, if you choose "all", then nobody can send you a friend request). You cannot choose specific ranks. You can choose all or [insert rank] or below.
For trade requests: Let us block trade requests from certain ranked players (or all)
Players have been complaining that the health bar that they see for the other players doesn't show how much health they have left.
- 1. Put a little heart icon on the left side of the health bar and display a percentage of their health.
- 2. Split the health bar with lines. The player would have the option to display a whole bar, 2 bars (half), 4 bars (Quarters) or 10 bars. (Tenths)
Let the players be able to place a vial on any vial slot, regardless if it's empty or not. Some players prefer having a health capsule on the first vial slot, then have an Artillery Strike on the second slot, etc...
When players leave a coliseum game, it can often be a bit frustrating. They could probably be making a difference between your team's win and your team's lost. So I propose that we add some sort of penalty other than losing crowns. Perhaps a temporary higher crown fee for leaving would work. The values could be 200/240/280 crowns. So in a sense it's not that harsh, but at the same time not too light.

That's all for now. I'll be adding new ideas in the future.
Bump.
