Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it.

Housing inside guilds with prestige

I am aware the guild-hall is our "housing-system", however unless it was my own guild - I can't get myslef to get invested into spending time and resources, just to see it eventually fall apart or to be kicked because of unavoidable inactivity.

If we could simply "bring our rooms with us" that might change for me.

The "private rooms" would be only accesible if you are member of a guild and that guild was not in default.
They would be accesed from within the guildhall, similar to the entering the private training hall. Let's call that section "living quarters".

Basil offers different items for each arcade-party member

As it is now I have to play arcades separately from my friends to increase the chance of finding the recipes we are searching for. Not very fun.

We should encourage cooperation by making Basil offer either a partially or completely different list to each party member that reaches the terminals.

While we are at it remove some recipes from the HoH (lets say remove all alchemers but the prismatech from Daxen - and so on) and likewise remove all recipes that would be left in the HoH from Basil.

Please fix the Auction House

With a smaller playerbase, 2 days listing time on the Auction House is not enough time to find a buyer for your items. There's a good chance nobody who actually wants to buy your item will see it in time and that it'll either go unsold or bought for a too low price by someone looking to resell it. Having to pay a listing fee/10% fee while at the same time risking letting your item go for a bad price is just not something anyone is willing to do. Because of that, the AH is usually empty and not worth checking regularly.

Dear Knights of the Spiral World,

As a fellow player of old I've seen many things come and go in Spiral Knights that have created differing rifts between actual gameplay and the players themselves. I'm here to address, discuss, and hopefully push for some of these needed changes. Without further adieu let us begin.

Yep that's right. I'm back. The guy you all know and hate. But trust me this time i'm here with something that wont actually trigger all of you. Make new knights not complete garbage so that they can play the game

I'm tired of seeing garbage players clogging up my danger mission runs with their unheated gear and lack of mixmaster so I had this great idea- make the average player not garbage, that's right, let them craft and heat gear within a time frame to where they'll actually do it and provide some means for them to revive themselves or something so they don't just get stuck there.

Here's what I propose-

-Remove the fire crystals so that they can heat their gear
-Heating gear is optional to craft
-At heat level 10, give them a random single UV, just the one and just on the weapon

Have different armor sets have different invincibility frame lengths

Discussion on the unofficial Spiral Knights discord server had us come up with some interesting new ideas for how to approach defense - invinciframe length!

I'll make this simple - glass cannon sets would have no invincibility/mercy frames upon being hit. Class armors would have the current invincibility frames upon being hit. Defensive sets would have slightly increased invincibility frames upon being hit. Plate sets would have a fair bit more invincibility frames upon being hit.

Some Quality of Life changes

Graphical-
+Option to toggle between Classic SK graphics and New SK graphics.
I love the art style of the old graphics for materials. It would be interesting to see them again.
+Option to turn off red glow around screen when being hurt, or when below 30%
I hate this glow. It hurts my eyes. (ALREADY FIXED)
+Option to turn off fog in levels.
I love the look of the game in high quality graphics, but the fog hurts my eyes.
Minerals-
+Bring back Player Made gates.

War For the Core: A new Tier 3 Dungeon

This is an idea I just recently came up with. I thought I would share it to show a potential next step for the story that GH may or may not ever continue, let alone finish.

The story so far

It's been a month since your squadron returned from your expedition to the Core. Since then, the Core has laid entirely dormant; there has been no sign of the Alpha Squad nor Herex.
