New Promotional Event ideas

As it stands, we've had many different types of promotional ideas for Spiral Knights for various different outlets of the game. I'm going to quickly go over all of them so we're on the same page before listing a few new, potentially "far out there" yet creative ideas for more.

    For every ~$10 spent on energy purchases, players received a free lockbox. (Only happened with mirrored lockboxes upon release)

New T3 Dungeons

After seeing the Sleep update, I now see that GH is starting to ramp up the updates on Spiral Knights. This is good news for me, as I have been a longtime fan of the game and I am now happy to see that SK is getting revived. However, gameplay at Tier 3 is still the same - grind the Firestorm Citadel for cash and run the upper T3 levels for those rare recipes. T3 gameplay has gotten really stale, and progression has dropped to a standstill. To ease on the daily grind, T3 levels should have at least a couple more dungeons added to them.

add more stuff to mail

There are two things I think the mail needs: the ability to cut, copy and paste, and the ability to see outgoing mail.

Editing abilities would be useful for, say, guild officers and masters to paste guild text over without having to retype everything again and again, and also for traders to paste lists of stuff to other people if they should want to do that.

Having an outbox would be useful for seeing who you have responded to, proving that you sent stuff with attachments, and keeping track of attachments you sent.

Dev stream

One of the many things I tend to see while playing are people complaining about the lack of content. Nobody knows what's going on at grey havens, and nobody knows what to expect. There's a disconnect between players and the dev team which is unhealthy for the community and spiral knights as a whole. So why not keep us up to date more?

Equipment-based class system.

This is more-or-less based on the actual heroes in the Hall of Heroes, and how each of them has a "class" that embodies them. The idea is that each armor and weapon would now have an added classification to them. Things like Gunslinger, Striker, Defender, etc. The idea is that the more of a specific item class you wear, the greater your benefits.

'Mobile Forge' Consumable

Idea:

A consumable that allows players to forge weapons when an arsenal station is not available. For example, it could be used in the middle of an FSC run, so players could forge without returning to Haven. It could have durations like heat amplifiers (2, 7 or 30 days), or be a single-use consumable.

I think this type of consumable would be more useful and appealing than heat amplifiers. Assuming it is not too expensive, I would definitely use something like this.

Mission Briefing

Always looking for more energy sources, knights at The Lab have combined one too many minerals and materials together in their pursuit of science. A strange portal to parts unknown has opened up, and a squad of Recon Rangers has been dispatched to investigate any potential danger. When they don't return in a timely manner, Desna has requested for you to follow along after them.

Auto Target Cooldown Timer

Since Spiral Knights is intended for 13+ or something, there is Auto Target for those who are missing 4 fingers or are still developing. However, for the 20% of those who are above 14 years of age and have 5 fingers, they despise Auto Target because it takes away from the game play and fairness in the game. In order to balance out the need of Auto Target for those in development mode and to allow a fair play field for veteran players, I think the best Idea would be to add a cooldown/timer for Auto target.
