A
Choose Your Adventure, Pick Your Path! [Rise of the Legion] - Completed
A (again) gets the most votes! In fact, everyone voted for A.
I did not intent to make all of you you like Gina so much... Anyway, back to writing.
"Oh wow! Finally!" Gina starts to jump with joy, "A Geo Knight, for the very first time! Right, the guild! Fellow me, fellow apprentice, we shall proceed to your cleansing ceremony. Don't worry, this is where you are formally accepted into our gathering. You should meet the sisters. They started it all."
Gina grabs your hand and pulls you away from the fountain, "Come on, I can't wait!" She leads you all the way through the trees and, surprisingly, away from all the clumped-up guild halls and into the woods.
You ask the whereabouts of the guild. "Well, it is forbidden to reveal our true location to common outsiders. We don't want our sacred knowledge to be poisoned and ruined... you know. Nosy people, that's what I'm talking about. You however," Gina flashes you an odd-looking smile, "are most welcomed into our holy realms."
As the both of you scramble through thick bushes and hanging vines, you estimate you may have travelled for up to a couple of minutes. Walking from the western end of the Bazaar all the way to the eastern end of the Town Square would take the same amount of time and distance. But why are they so desperate to keep their guildhall so remote?
When your legs start to feel weary, you realise you have stepped into an opening in the forest. In the middle, there is a big tent pitched on the ground, which is made with different patches of cloths of a great variety of colours. It's not exactly enormous, but big enough to fit in 10 knights.
Gina continues to tug you into the entrance. She throws the flap off, revealing a group of seated female knights, all dressed with the exact same thing as Gina.
"Greetings, my sisters. Let me introduce our new apprentice!" Gina makes her announcement, and the group of knights turn to look at you.
"A Geo Knight! Well done, sister!" One of them calls out. "All hail the goddess!" Another one joins in.
"Let us not waste time," Gina glances back to you, "let me introduce to you the First Sisters." She gestures to the group, and three knights stand up to greet you. "It's a pleasure to meet you, fellow apprentice." The oldest one speaks out. "And good work, Gina."
"Thank you, Mallory." Gina bows low. "Well, shall we commence the ceremony?"
[Continued at next post]
I hate it when I come and the post says "Continued, but there is no more posts yet. This is the second time. The first time I had to leave so I couldn't be the first one to post. :(
Edit: And again, I have to leave before the post is posted. >:( >:( >:( >:(
The "ceremony" they have been talking about turns out to be some kind of ritual. All the "sisters" stand in a circle around you (one of them had drawn a ring of symbols inside the circle), and they make all sorts of wild gestures. Sometimes they would chant in an unknown language, sometimes they would stand up and kneel, and then they'll stand again. The whole thing lasted for such a long time that your eyes had grown tired of staring at the floor. You even think you have dozed off a few times during the "ceremony".
At last, when they are finished, all of the knights are seated on the floor, preparing themselves for the next part of the ritual. The eldest one with the name Mallory holds up a glass sphere and places it on a counter set before you.
"This is the Crystal of Clairvoyance, imbued with the most ancient magic we have retrieved from the divine goddess. As its name suggests, it can tell us your future, and it will decide if you can be acknowledged as a member of the Sacred Order."
"Now, close your eyes, and relax", Mallory orders you, and you do as she said. Again, all of the knights start chanting in unison, and you wait for something to happen rather impatiently.
Soon, you actually see something through your closed eyes, something shining bright with a blue aura. The sisters stop chanting at once. "Now I see.... I see..." Mallory speaks slowly, and you assume she is trying to read the message from the crystal ball. "I see numbers... I see all the creatures you face every day. So many places to study and work. I see fire. I see ice... Wait, there's more... There is lot of ice and frost all over the place... It's everywhere... a new force, a new army..." Her voice begins to tremble, "He is not done... he is coming again... he will rise... with the army... we are the chosen ones... he will come after you... we are doomed! Doomed!"
Immediately, the aura dims out, and you quickly open your eyes. Mallory has collapsed, gasping for air as she shifted her eyes to you. "You are nothing but trouble and bad luck! You do not deserve to be here. The Sacred Order must remain pure, now begone!" The rest of the sisters stares at you with an angry glare.
"Hang on... bad luck... The fountain!" Gina voices out, "You had contacted the water earlier! Surely we can cure that!"
"No Gina," Mallory retorts, "his situation is too horrendous for any of our attention. He shall be left alone suffer by his own fate."
"But..." Gina tries to explain, but interrupted again by Mallory. "Enough! You are a shame to the goddess herself. For your mistakes, you shall be punished severely. If you are lucky, you can stay here. Otherwise, I'm afraid you shall be done for." Mallory turns to look back at you. "Just leave this place, Geo Knight, or I will have to get rid of you by myself."
A. Exit the tent immediately, and report everything you witnessed to your chief, Wegner.
B. Exit the tent immediately, and forget everything you saw earlier.
C. Confront Mallory and threaten to reveal the Sacred Order to everyone else.
A! We must kill all crazy knights, including Mallory!
But I wanna stay here :<
Even if I need to blackmail them!
Maulos is back at it again, isn't he =.=?
If so, then I choose C. We bring bad luck to them, and we force them to fall with us. >:D If they try to kill us, we'll just threaten that they'll get themselves and their sacred grounds "contaminated" by our bad luck. Besides, the further we infiltrate, the more we'll know about the plans. Why quit now?!
If there is any choice, can we spare Gina? She seems to be nicer than the rest of the women, and I'd love to give her a second chance at sanity. :3
Nice guess, but nay. No Maulos for now.
Anyway. I want to make an announcement here. From now on, it will not be guaranteed that every chapter will be released on a daily basis. The maximum duration is 2-3 days. When it does get delayed, why not spend some time frolicking around the Town, and perhaps check out the mysterious fountain? Or maybe go exploring out in the wilds, and see if you can catch sight of that sorcery-filled tent? Let us know what you find, and share your own adventure perhaps. I might even drop in some extra points.
I vote C. Reporting to Wegner merely disregards you as nosy people as Gina had said earlier. Blackmailing will bring an adventurous trip to somewhere nice or maybe to a nice jail.
Blackmail always seems like the worst possible way to get onto someone's good side...my primary choice would be B, but perhaps Wegner will have some ideas about how to confront the problem (this is why we aren't going straight to Feron!).
KILL THEM ALL! >:( >:( >:(
They wish us to join, then because of some stupid gibbery way of telling the future says that you have a terrible future, and instead of helping us, they try to get rid of us and THREATEN US!!!!!!!
Wait Snow. You said I was gonna get some action with Gina. I can't let my future gf get taken by Wegner or crazy sisters!
@Artistbma
Haha, I was simply pulling your leg! xD
@Cool-Night
A new adventurer is always welcomed ;)
You order Mallory to keep away from Gina and tell her of your threats. To your dismay, she merely chuckles at your statement. "Ha! Do you really think you can stop me? You alone? Ha ha! You're pretty much the most foolish person I've ever seen. For that reason, I'm glad to dispose you off anyway." She turns to her colleagues. "Get him! But don't hurt him just yet. I want him alive."
Without delay, a group of knights rush out and grab on your arms. You try to struggle and kick around, but you are not strong enough to overcome them. "Leave him alone!" Gina appears from the back of the group and attempt to free you, but again she gets cornered.
Mallory approaches you with a small vial in her hand. "One drop of this mixture will cause anyone to fall into a deep, intoxicating sleep. Before you even know it, you will regret this moment for the rest of your life." She lets out a horrible laughter with the vial held up high, and she slowly lowers it down to your mouth. With your whole body held tightly, you have no other option but to watch a green drop of liquid drip down your throat. You feel like screaming for help, but your head hurts so much you lose all the energy you have, and everything in your eyes start to black out.
[Continued at next post]
I already know that C seems to be 100% suicidal.
Never ever trust C again.
Post 127 (so close to post 126! Best number Eva!) 1/26/2013 AUSTRALIADAYFTW, middle post #2 inbetween 2 parts FTW and happy bday Ellen degenerous FTW!
That means that Gina is with us! XD This might turn out better than I thought!
That is, if her "friends" don't dismember her first.
AUGH. Anyways, I guess that we got what we wanted, time to see what's next...
In this bonus round, instead of me giving options while you take your pick, each one of you can post your own response! Then, I will choose the best answer and continue on. So get creative, and create the path you truly want! But beware, if you call the wrong hand, you might thread upon your own graveyard! (P.S. try to make your answer reasonable. As long as it is logical, I'll take it into consideration)
Everyone who votes in a bonus round gets 2 points instead of 1! If your answer is chosen as the next chapter, you will receive another 2 points! That would mean you get a total of 4 points!
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
You wake up to the sound of an electrical beeping noise; it's your PDA ringing in your pocket. Could it be from the Geo Knight troops? You try to reach for it, but your hands are tightly bound.
"Hello? You're awake now?" You hear a voice calling for your name. You look up to see that Gina is in front of you, with her hands and legs tied up too. Your head still hurts faintly, however you can recall everything that has happened before you went unconscious. Currently, both of you are trapped in a place with wooden shelves all around you, all of them completely filled with bottles and vials. It seems that you are still in the Sacred Order's Tent.
You wonder how long you have fallen unconscious. "You actually slept for a full day." Gina says to you, like she could your mind. "24 hours straight. That mixture is that lethal. Well, you're still lucky that Mallory doesn't feed you with Virulisk poison. She has a reason to keep her captives alive. We've caught all sorts of Chromalisks before, and we did not kill them right away too. We kept them well fed, and then we skinned them." Gina hesitates before she continues, "Well, I'm pretty sure Mallory won't skin us alive, but then again, I have my doubts... after all she did to us. Speaking of which, all of the sisters are now out gathering for materials for tonight's cremation ceremony. And... I believe I don't have to explain further on that."
The PDA starts to ring again, and Gina eyes at your pocket. "What is that thing?" You explain that it is your main communication device with the rest of the Geo Knights. "Oh, we never carry fancy devices around. The goddess hates artificial stuff lying around her sanctuary. At least, that was what Surria claimed, she's one of the elder sisters here." Gina blinks her eyes for a moment. "Wait, did you say communication device? We can use it to call for help!" You show her your tied hands. "Oh. Right." She rolls her eyes, and sighs again.
You examine the tent further, and you notice that certain vials and bottles on the shelves contain samples that are very familiar to you. You spot three bottles filled with Blaze Peppers, some powdered Swordstone lying around in a vial, and many kinds of feathers collected from the famed Owlites. On the other hand, the tent has no opening, and your movement is very limited with all of your limbs tied up. It's a good thing the sisters didn't blindfold you or gag up your mouth.
If what Gina said was true, you will have to find a way to escape before the sun sets. What will you do? [State only one action that sums up what you think you should do. Do not give consecutive actions.]
Vin was, well, a Council Knight.
There had been around only 30~ Council Knights in the history of the Order, mainly because the Council Knights themselves weren't established until recently You see, the technology built to reproduce an Artificial Knight had been around Cradle for 2 months; most of the credit would go to the Gremlins for "helping" (taking their schematics and such). Unfortunately, the Artificial Knights were pretty much thoughtless, and so a group had been given control over a couple of these knights. The operation was spearheaded by a mysterious man, followed by a small band of devoted scholars. Their job was to see to what extent could an Artificial Knight could perform independently. The most the Knights have ever gotten was a successful walk around the Town Square, and then sit down by the fountain.
Back to the point, Vin had been staying up 'til very early in the morn', sipping a beverage loosely based off of the popular "coffee" drink from Isora. He had managed to convince a chunk of the Council to infiltrate a guild, but the recent results weren't going too well. It seemed as if the AK (acronym for Artificial Knight) had been "destined" for some sort of task, a task that would be hazardous to most Knights. Vin, then again, had to use his influence to attempt to bargain their way out. Unfortunately, their AK was poisoned soon after. There was no telling what happened to the AK, only that the unit was definitely in some sort of danger. The Council Knights could not currently conduct a raid, not without the warrant prescribed by the Order. So, their experiment was there to stay, inside a tent somewhere outside Haven. Vin sipped his concoction again.
A Council Knight is usually dressed in a hood and coat, or at least something along the lines of that. Vin's signature appearance was a Magic Hood (he is losing his eyesight, so he is given a pair of Frosty Glasses) and an Ash Tail coat. This was why he was often called "The Grey" (<---LOTR reference XD) by other Council members. There is more to be told, but doing so would be revealing classified information. Until more data is de-classified, the report will be put off.
(EDIT: LOL you said we can type in our findings while we wait for your posts, which is why I called it something different entirely. It just so happens you finished before I did.)
Fleet-Miss-Gun, you and Gina are already tied up, so you gotta find a way to get untied.
Vinnydime, I think you are confused by what I meant. You simply have to make your own decision, not to come up with another story. Just do something like Fleet-Miss-Gun, but of course, with an best action you can come up with.
Well, we CAN make use of the feathers and Blaze Peppers. It's a simple, yet impossible task. We must blow the feathers so that the Peppers can also flow right out, and the somehow get the Peppers onto our bonds. This SHOULD cause the bonds to burn and break, but it might bring down the whole tent in the process.
So, we need an alternative, since ^ doesn't sound like it works. Now, we know that Swordstones are essentially used for sharpening weapon (so why did they grind a stone made for grinding?! O.o), which means they have friction. Friction causes fires. We can alternatively blow the feathers, so that the swordstone-coated feathers can cut wherever they blow to. If we're lucky enough, it'll be our bonds that they cut. If we're unlucky, they'll break the Blaze Pepper bottles, and we'll burn to the ground. Assuming we're not within bite-distance, our only choice is to:
Blow at the Owlite feathers into the swordstone powder and/or Blaze Pepper. Whatever happens will be up to Snowdusk.
Don't be, Snowdusk said on an earlier post that we could "share our own adventures, perhaps" and that he might dump some points on us. So, like a good boy, I wrote down just that. So you see, I wrote that post for the other post, not for the decision-making post.
What I meant was to share stuff based on our current storyline. Besides writing a short chapter, you can just say anything witty, or even write a poem, and draw some fan art, maybe.
Well, it's always better to give than to receive, so why not?
Your movements are limited..... but you can at least move....
Try to knock down the bottles and vials by struggling and pushing the shelf down, whatever happens might catch the others attention since they don't want you dead .
Gina is nice, but I'm not looking forward to another mouthful Kevier -_-
@Infernus-Dragneel - You pretty much stated what I already thought would be best. :P I'll see if I can find a different way to word it...
I think we should try to break those vials and see if the glass will cut our bonds - we should attempt to knock them down from the shelf by pushing against it in a gentle rhythm, since we don't want the whole shelf to come falling on us.
I say that both Gina and I(all of us) grab a bottle of blaze pepper in our mouths and hide around the corner from the door. When the stupid people come in to kill us, we WHACK THEM!
We kick the shelf gently and the vials will crash to the ground. Use your leg to pull the feather and coat it with swordstone. The feather will work as a knife and use it to cut the ropes and then RUN!!!( i dont know what Blaze Pepper can do in this situation )
Let them witches get you two first, then start bashing their eyes out as soon as they untie your bonds.
We should roll to the shelf and knock it over. With luck, we can catch a shard from a broken vial in our bound hands. Then we should rub the shard against the rope until it splits. Once our hands are free, we'll cut out legs loose.
Then it'll be all like:
A: Free Gina.
B: Leave her to die.
Be aware of my previous note:
[State only one action that sums up what you think you should do. Do not give consecutive actions.]
A lot of you weren't following what I stated and made consecutive actions. So just to emphasise again for the next up-coming players who haven't voted: Sum up what you want to do in one action. Otherwise your post will be ignored.
Am I not allowed to edit my vote now? ~_~
It's alright for now, I'm just warning the next posters.
Lesson learnt: Never ever EVER ignore side notes.
What I meant was that we should blow the feathers into wherever it will be. That is, assuming that we arent within bite-distance. (To all the other guys, we're still tied up)
100 posts ^

Edit: And 3 pages :) :)
