We're still tied so...wtf?
are "letting them witches comr to you" and "Bashing their eyes out" two different actions?
Try to make the bottles and vials fall from the shelves , but the witches might heard us ..........
I'll kill 'em all. Don't underestimate the dark side of the snipes.....
Since most of you are suggesting the same response, I have difficulty selecting the exact post.
But I think we can agree that Vinnydime gave the best answer (and receives extra points!). Here goes...
You try to blow off the feathers into the vials, but as it appears, the task is too tricky to be done. The open end of the vials are too narrow for any of the feathers to fit in.
"What are you trying to do?" Gina demands an explanation, and you tell her your plan involving the feathers. "You seriously think that will work?" she scoffs at you, "I can't believe it! You're just as foolish as any other knights out there! And you're a Geo Knight!"
Gina huffs in frustration, and avoids eye contact with you, "How could I even think about saving you earlier? You don't even deserve my attention! You're just like one of them pagans, thinking that energy can do everything for you. Only the ways of the goddess will show us the true light." Gina starts off her unusual mystic speech again, "If only my hands are free, I will make a little sacrificial altar for the goddess to free myself from here..." she suddenly stares at you intensely, "and YOU will be the sacrifice!"
Gina turns away again, finally keeping quiet. This went on until the silence is broken by your PDA, ringing the third time. Gina seems irritated by that sound, and she huffs angrily again, "Agh! Can't you just turn off that thing? Isn't there some sort of fancy stuff you Geo Knights have, like, a voice command?"
"Voice command activated." You suddenly heard a digital voice beeping from the device. "Voice command pending."
"Wait, what happened? Did I activated it?" Gina asks you, her eyes wide open in surprise.
"Command invalid." The PDA responds to Gina's voice again. Seems like it requires a specific command. Without hesitating further, you quickly order to answer the call from the Geo Knight troop.
"Attempting transmission." The device instantly accepts your command, and emits a single beep. After a short moment, you hear a ruffled sound being played by the PDA, and a person's voice. It was Wegner.
"Now where on Cradle have you been?" Wegner asks you first thing, "You've been away for 24 hours and yet to report for duty. At least drop a message or something... Uhh right, permission to speak granted."
You report briefly about everything that has happened to him, and the background noise becomes even louder. That was probably the other knights listening to your conversation. "You WHAT?" Wegner's voice sounds more astonished than ever, "OK, priorities first: We'll send someone to save both of you – yes we need that friend of yours as well – and then we'll talk later. As long as your comlink unit stays active, we can track down your location within one hour. Just hope those women doesn't put you in their cauldron sooner than expected. Goodbye." The line hangs off before you can say anything else.
"So..." Gina speaks hesitantly, "now we just sit down and wait? I hope those knights of yours are quick on their feet."
For now, you can only reassure her both of you won't be thrown into a fire and cooked alive, and trust Wegner's words.
[Continued at next post]
One hour passed, but no one ever came near the tent at all. You continue to wait until another hour passed, but still no troops.
Gina, who has been impatient all the time, voices out, "Ha, and I'm supposed to trust you this time, yet again. Bravo, fantastic. All hail the Geo Knights!"
She keeps mocking at you until you hear footsteps treading on grass. "Oh, could that be the rescue troops? Well finally, a miracle!" Gina exclaims in such a way that you can't properly recognise if she's still keeping up with her sarcasm.
After a while, someone enters the tent, and you hear a cloth sweeping against the shelf behind you. "Oh good, you're awake now. Guess what? We've decided to come early."
The voice doesn't sound like any of the Geo Knights, or even Wegner. "This is good. The goddess likes her prisoners punished alive." Of course, it was Mallory.
The rest of the sisters join her, and brings you and Gina out of the tent, still keeping both of your tied. It appears they have built a simple fiery furnace made with firewood.
"Now, who shall go first?" Mallory looks at both of you quizzically, eventually staring at Gina. "I think I'll save the best for last... My dear girl, come and celebrate with me."
The sisters lift Gina up into the air, who is struggling hard to get off from them. Next, they carry her right to the top of the furnace, preparing for Mallory's orders. "Wait! You can't... Sister! I apologise! Please spare my life!" Gina pleads pitifully, "I am one of your best pupil! You can still trust me!"
"You were." Mallory corrects her, and waves her hand into the air. "Now drop her."
Poor Gina was lifted high again, and tears flow right down her cheeks. Just before the sister give a great heave, they're interrupted by a huge crashing noise. The furnace starts losing its stability, and tumbles down to the earth. As the dust settle, you saw a Guardian knight emerging with an army. He raises his mighty sword high to the sky. "Take them down."
Soon, a quick fight ensues. The sisters are taken back by surprise, and they're easily defeated, leaving behind a broken tent and a pile of charred firewood. The group of female knights are captured and escorted away by the soldiers, leaving behind a few Geo Knights, and Wegner himself.
He steps forward and clears his throat, ignoring to perform a formal salute, "Right, part one done. Now for part two: I got a question for you. Who shall be blamed for this 'incident'?"
A. Acknowledge that it's your mistake and apologise to Wegner.
B. Direct the fault to Gina.
C. Stay silent.
Yup, it's totally A. Should've left when we had the chance -.-'
Besides, Gina is just being used by that group, they would cut her off whenever they wanted.
Gina needs to keep the blame off because of her knowledge of fiends and such can make her a great partner, so it's better to keep her alive :P.
A! Tell the truth! Tis' the correct thing to do.
A! Because that's why i'am choosing the option to leave the tent.
We'd probably get into even more trouble by trying to deflect the blame.
(Even though Gina was being irritating and unhelpful.)
she said she would use you as a sacrifice. A bloody disgrace.
she said she would use you as a sacrifice. A bloody disgrace.
The Council Knights had always tried to be inconspicuous with their operations. The use of AI Knights would become controversial (because the newly-revived Sprites had a similar debate between organic and non-organic pets), so in order to prevent future conflicts, the research was kept in the dark. Vin sighed in relief when the AK wasn't damaged; they would know the secret. He mentally slapped himself for his recklessness, putting the unit in harm's way. He would surely be chastised by Dusk and Tevokkia, two of the more powerful members of the Council. There was no room for another mistake; the Council Knight needed to keep any more suspicion off of the current AK. Maybe, after this incident is over and done with, he can dispose of the unit.
Vin had finished sipping his coffee, and strode out of the guild hall. The artificial knights needed to think for themselves more. They were too dependent on the decision of over ten Knights to react accordingly. Maybe the future models could be able to perform consecutive commands, but that was in the future. If this unit gets damaged, it would bring heavy losses on all the Council Knights.
You do have a good story in mind. Would you kindly post it in your own post somewhere else?
When I said posting, I meant you can discuss stuff about our current story. I don't want anything else unrelated to appear here.
I won't ask you to delete your post, but just to ask that you will kindly post your stories elsewhere next time.
But fer post 115, you said that we could make up little stuff...
D'aw MAN.
Its our fault for not leaving the group when Mallory have gave us chance to leave -_-
We were the ones who got Gina into this mess, as well as ourselves...it's only right that we admit to our mistake. :P
I vote... A.
And...
"You were," Artist corrects Mallory.
Edit: You fixed that quick. :3
Haha, thanks for catching that Arty! Some people just make silly mistakes, eh? xD
You can't blame this on Gina now can you? She RISKED her life for you, she was EXILED from her guild because of you, she was almost BURNED alive because of you, and I don't expect that you would want to put her in a more SERIOUS situation. Now will you?
Gina would definitely be the female knight version of Kevier, she will definitely be one.If that so happens, we should at least BEAR with that fact, she might come along useful if we have her trust....
But I bet she would for sure go: "IT IS HIS FAULT, I HOPE YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN SACRIFICIAL ALTAR TO YOUR GOD SO YOU CAN IMMOLATE THAT INSOLENT FOOL"
alas, she already is a freak in the first place.
Kevier is a lot more innocent compared to Gina (remember the first time you met him?). Well in general, although they are pretty similar, their personalities have significant differences.
I think etheir way a legion rises and haven will be invaded.
A receives the most votes! (seriously, what's with all the 'A' votes? xD)
You gotta put a better choice that ISN'T on A. :L
(Sorry, this took longer than planned.)
"Right, at least you're being honest." Wegner says casually, "But don't think that you're completely forgiven. Yoking yourself with heretic belief is simply a great mistake, especially as a Geo Knight." Wegner's cranky voice is kicking in as he speaks to you (that truly certifies him as an old chap).
"For your punishment... umm," Wegner scratches his ragged chin, "well, your punishment will be... Alright, I admit I haven't got that figured out yet. But no worries, you'll be really occupied today, because you have plenty of work to do. Yup, that will be your punishment." Wegner nods to himself, "Extra workload, and extra working hours, 'till midnight perhaps."
Satisfied with his "solution", Wegner escorts you and Gina back to the town of Haven. Apparently, the rest of the Geo Knights are left near the remains of the sisters' tent to investigate their hideout. You're pretty sure that you'll never get yourself into such a trouble anymore.
Wegner leads both of you into the Arcade, squinting at Gina. "Well, in case you forgot about our civilisation, this is the Arcade."
"I do remember." Gina says in reply to Wegner's remark.
"Right, just saying. Anyway, fellow Geo Knight," Wegner turns back at you, "here's a quick recap of your task: There have been a strange increase of monster activity in certain locations. The largest concerns are in the Candlestick Keep and Dark City. I want you to do your usual investigation, in whichever way you want. I've keyed in the bearings of those places into the monitor over there. When you're done, send me the complete report. I'll send in more tasks later, so better don't slack off. Now, get to work while I'm off to interrogate this young lass.
"Remember to get your work done before I'm back," Wegner warns you, "or you'll be suffering the consequences. I'll see you soon." Wegner steps away to te exit, taking Gina along with him. Gina, being quiet the whole time, glances back at you with her fearful eyes. She's probably trying to say goodbye. Before you can wave at her, she turns around again, moving on to wherever Wegner is taking her.
You walk towards the monitor and saw two separate coordinates, one for the dark Candlestick Keep, and another for the ominous Dark City. However, before you can type in a search command, a hooded knight approaches you.
"Hey!- I mean, hello. Sorry for interrupting." he seems to be another Geo Knight around here, and he looks pretty nervous, "No time to explain – gotta help them out. Knights disappearing suddenly – no idea how to track them down. They just vanished!" You tell him to calm down, and he starts to breathe more evenly now. "Well... I'm supposed to keep watch at a group of knights while they're collecting some intel in the Clockworks," he explains to you, "but out of the blue, I lost their transmission. I have no idea what happened. They're just gone – all of their comlinks have been cut off! If they've disconnected, what am I gonna do?" He cries pitifully, "It's all my fault! I must have clicked a wrong button, or led them to a trap. Please help me out! Please?"
A. Reassure him that nothing is wrong and continue working on your own task.
B. Help him to track down the knights he claimed to have gone missing.
Well we need to help each other and .....maybe theres good intel that we can discover :)
Next time please make sure the choice is not too obvious.
This is the most obvious better choices of all time in the forums.
A would be too selfish...although, we'll certainly have to deal with the consequences later, since we were specifically told to do our own tasks. Maybe we should ask Wegner before we do so?
@Fleet-Miss-Gun
Well, if you think it's too obvious, think again.
'A' follows Wegner's orders. 'B' totally ignores it. So far, I can assure you that I never put up a decision that is perfectly sound, or foolishly hopeless.
Saying that 'B' as the most obvious choice is like stating the fact that no matter what happens, you can only be helpful when you sacrifice yourselves to help others, even when your own life is in crisis.
I don't think everyone is that rigid.
@Kanoka
Currently, Wegner is somewhere else, busy with, I don't know... messing around with his test subject?
Sorry snow, but the orders that Wegner give seems suicidal. Dark cities is the hardest level in SK.
Plus if you're lucky the knights could help you to finish the orders then you've got win-win situation.
And Vinnydime says "Why A?" And you give A and B. Of course this time it's B the best choice IMO.
for the first time... I think it will be the best to avoid doing this... After what had happened to you before, you shouldn't get mixed up with another paranormal dilemma.
Well, I don't mean to give out any information, but it's pretty obvious anyway. If you did read the story thoroughly, here is what Wegner said:
"I want you to do your usual investigation, in whichever way you want."
Now, have you ever noticed those Geo Knights typing away in their monitors while sitting comfortably in Haven? Well, investigations can be done online or via transmission, etc.
It's all up to you on how you want to execute your investigation, instead of dwelling into cursed cities and haunted dimensions. That's what all the brave and strong soldiers do. They go on suicidal missions, but the adventure can be thrilling.
So yeah, now you know how it's like to work as a Geo Knight. :)
A. Sorry kid, but we've got our own problems.
We could do some linking with the info of the lost knights with the Candlestick Keep and Dark City. (I think so...)
I got 99 problems and you ai-
Oh.
Wait...
Yeah, I got 99 problems...
And B isn't one of them!
I choose A! I wanna punch myself in Adam's Apple for this...
B ends off A's winning streak with the most votes!
Gonna post earlier this time :)
You agree to help out the panicking Geo Knight, and head off to take over his monitor right away. "Thank you! I'm feeling so scared my mind's completely short of thoughts now." He thanks you gratefully. "Here, I'll show you what I have so far." He briefly types in several commands, displaying all the information of the lost party members.
There are three knights in the party, and one of them was a Guardian; the rest being ordinary knights without any special occupation for the Spiral HQ. The regular knights went missing first, about 15 minutes ago, followed by the Guardian, who went missing 10 minutes ago. "The last time I received transmission from them, they've been roaming around in one of the Wolver's Den. But whether they're still around there or not... that's what I fear. Right now, we just gotta confirm if they're still alive and well. I really hope it's simply a malfunction from the comlink..."
You try typing in the commands to reconnect with the comlinks, but to no avail. The knight has indeed lost contact with the Spiral HQ, and they're all by their own. Right now, the only solution to the problem is to search for the knights' whereabouts. Based on what you learnt, you can think of several ways to detect the current location of the knights.
Firstly, you can execute a manual override in the Spiral HQ network and start scanning the entire Clockworks to reveal the knights' accurate location, but it will consume a lot of time and effort.
Another alternative is to send a search party and let them do all the work for you. The success rate depends on the their own skills. If possible, you will find the party which is closest to the Wolver's Den where the knights got disconnected, and hopefully the missing knights can be found more quickly this way.
Last but not least, you can choose to work with a team of Recons and Guardians on duty today and head off directly to the Wolver's Den and start searching from there. You can use your portable equipments to scan the entire area one at a time, but not as precise as the one provided by Spiral HQ itself, as mentioned before. You can depend on your team for protection, but travelling in the Clockworks has its own risk.
Which way will you choose the track down the lost knights?
A. Execute the manual override scan.
B. Send a search party.
C. Enter the Clockworks with some help.
It might be hard work, but there is no risks nor either trouble by trying to do so!
C, because I know that Snow will make the story a LOT more interesting if we do so. Wegner will be angry enough to choke us in our sleep, but since when has a Geo Knight ever VOLUNTARILY RUN OUT INTO THE FIELD?! If we do this right, we might not be punished as much for ignoring our actions. And of course, we might find a trinket or something that will help us understand what's going on. Not many Recons nor Guardians have the time nor the intellect to do that, but we do. :)
Anyhow, choosing C for the chance that we find something. After all, it's better to get to the source of our problems.
grab a feather and pick at the ropes.
yay new page.
