((Being sick is not fun, so Dagoon/Thrynn is free to be used))

Dagoon was uncertain who she wanted to side with, she was in the middle of a battle between isorans and morai (Because it's been a while since the last update) however, whatever side she was on, it didn't matter really, she still had to fend for herself from either side as she could be morai or isoran, so everyone was attempting to attack her. Thrynn was nowhere to be found. . .
--
Thrynn could feel something pulling at the edge of his mind for quite a while (he DOES have telepathic powers(I assume that it's different on cradle.))
And it happened to be at depth 23, he knew where and what this was because of the many, many times he had gone through the clockworks.

((Also, just to be clear, who are the morai? Even though you explained where they originate from, are they even shown in SK?))

Edit: Page five!

Still at the terminal...

((Took slight control of some people here. Didn't change anything though, the scene is still retained, Thinslayer.

@Unstable-Ordinance: I'm going to assume that Jari was quick to jump off and hide. Hence, nobody noticing him as the elevator arrived.
@Thinslayer: I'm making Trivoc ranked: Defender, due to his clearance into the deeper levels.))

Trivoc

"Yes, the Skylark has arrived. Have you seen a knight in a Toximask near your position?" Kora asked.

[Phew... Now we might stand a chance...] Trivoc thought. He then proceeded to answer Kora's question. "No, The only people here are me, Arkus, and a soldier named Chappers. I've also encountered a strange person known as-" He said, but didn't quite finish as he was distracted by an arriving elevator.

It was an elevator suddenly screeching to a halt at their depth. And riding on it was a Knight in a Toximask.

"Scratch what I said earlier Agent Kora. TheToximask Knight just arrived, and he's unconscious. Orders?" Trivoc said. "Apprehend him and keep him there. We're sending someone over to pick him ((Referring to Ikaros)). Be careful. That Knight is named Jari Steelclaw, and he's one of the smartest enemies you'll ever face. Don't be tricked by him." Kora answered. "Understood, ma'am. We'll be on standby until then." Trivoc replied as the comm link was ended.

Arkus got to the elevator first and began lifting the unconscious Knight off the elevator floor. "I'll tell you one thing, he's got a large amount of fat. Urgh!" Arkus exclaimed as he carried the Knight a little way out of the elevator. Trivoc noted that the Knight seemed to have a a very large stomach. Once the Knight was off the elevator, the mechanism continued and another elevator arrived.

This time it was Gwen, followed by what appeared to be a Gremlin Stalker. [What is she up to this time? Ah, I'm not even going to bother trying to figure out anymore...]

The Toximask Knight began to stir. Gwen approached him and stated talking. "You are in Depth 23 of the Iron Lion Gate. You hit the emergency drop button on the elevator and were knocked unconscious." She said. The Toximask Knight groaned in pain.

Gwen seemed to stare for a while at the Knight's belly before turning to a dark corner of the terminal. She stared for a long while at it before Trivoc noticed something.

[There's someone there!] He realized.

Trivoc thought about moving in to apprehend the other person, but decided to contact Agent Kora first, about Gwen. After all, she might already have the situation under control through some strange method.

He tuned in his comm unit to its latest frequency and started talking. "Agent Kora. This is Defender Trivoc reporting in." He started. "We read you Trivoc. What's your status?" Kora asked. "Well, we have the Toximask Knight in custody but..." Trivoc considered for a moment if he should ask about her. "What is it?" Kora asked, curiously.

"I was wondering if we have any information on a Knight named Gwenyvier? She prefers a White Rose set, has a white personal color, and a Void Scar." Trivoc asked, waiting for a reply.

((Thinslayer, I'll let you say how much Kora knows, and doesn't know))

Ikaros had always loved flying. The feeling of the air beneath her wings, the roar of the wind in her ears, and the feeling of complete freedom. She had practiced flying since she was a mere toddler, and as she saw the Gremlins firing enormous Polaris shots towards her, she smirked. When she was in the air, she was untouchable. With ease, she dodged every one of the bullets, except for one shot that grazed her cheek slightly. She saw convenient signs saying, "Depth 14", "Depth 20", and so on, until she found Depth 23. Banking left, -she was flying to the right of the Depths- she skidded onto the tile floor. Aside from a Snarbolax -she was required to do a study on Cradle's creatures during high school- and a few Isoranoid ((humanoid, as we would call it)) looking figures, she was alone.

Great, she thought. i've got company, and I was specifically told to make sure i was alone down here, and by all means necessary. Ikaros sighed under her breath, then stood up. She didn't want to risk going over there and starting a confrontation, She concentrated on nature, on pure water springs, on all the beautiful creatures she had loved back on Isora. This was the only way for her to use Artemis, and, sure enough, pure white energy glowed around the bow. Weaving an arrow out of the energy, she nocked it and took almost meticulous aim. Almost. Because a young Wolver pup had just nipped at her heel, disrupting her concentration. Ikaros sighed and nudged the pup away with her foot. With the pup there, constantly annoying her, she wouldn't be able to gather enough energy to fire even a weak shot from her arrow, She would have to use her swords and ambush whatever was over there instead of comfortably sniping them with her bow from a safe distance away. Ikaros slung her bow over her shoulder, then drew her Glacius. Those particular types of swords were particularly good for ambushes, as they froze the enemies before they could react, leaving a window of oppurtunity to strike a final blow. It was why, when Ikaros had to choose three starter weapons as a 14 year old, she picked an Iceburst Brandish as one of her swords.

Anyway, Ikaros glared at her battered, enormous pink wings. They would certainly attract attention, which was the exact opposite of what stealth was for. Willing them to reduce their mass, she watched as they shrunk to the size of an average notebook. Stealthily creeping, using whatever cover she could, Ikaros drew closer and closer to the unknown figures until she was able to get a good look at them. She sighed with relief, for it was just a few knights standing around a pool. Alpha simply strolled over to the Knights, the annoying, pesky, furball of a pup following her. She grabbed a pebble and chucked it over at the Knights. At least this way she wouldn't startle them and they wouldn't attack her out of instinct. They turned around to face her and Ikaros bowed.

She had always hated using formal language, but as a person of authority in the Order, she was almost always required to.

"Salutations, fellow Isorans... And Snarbolax. I am Lieutenant Ikaros Alpha, Vanguard of the Spiral Order." And, just to make small talk, she gazed around at the -obviously fake- morning sky, then added, "Lovely weather we're having."

Kora is shocked

((@Liminori: The Morai are not shown in Spiral Knights. They were only mentioned in passing by Kora, who was describing Euclid's leadership skills against them during the liberation of Isora. I have taken the creative liberty to assume they are the same race as the Knights.))

"I was wondering if we have any information on a Knight named Gwenyvier? She prefers a White Rose set, has a white personal color, and a Void scar."

Upon hearing this, Kora stood in shock. Barrus gave her a puzzled look, and his expression seemed to be asking if she was okay. Kora finally got around to replying. "Are you certain she is white? Because that would indicate that she is a Queen Valkyrie. The Queen Valkyries are rare spiritual beings, legendary for their superior command of the elements, greater even than the Owlites. Their subordinate Valkyries are always colored gold ((yellow personal color)). She is to thank for giving us the energy needed to leave Cradle more than thirty cycles ago."

But then Kora said ominously, "Her Void scar worries me, however. She may be dangerous, so keep an eye on her. I will speak with the brass about this matter, and then I will contact you again."

@Kaijuhunter

((@Kaijuhunter: Your artwork of Ikaros is very good; I would like to take you up on your offer. Could you do artwork of Gwenyvier? Her appearance should be as follows: delicate eyes; long, lank, thick silver hair (matching her white personal color) with some covering her left eye (it usually covers her right eye, but I want her Void scar to be visible), and Valkyrie Mail with Divine Valkyrie Wings. She is not wearing her helmet. No shield should be visible either, as she wears a shield bracelet. She otherwise resembles a female knight. Please refer to my prior descriptions of her for more details, if necessary.))

Gwen walked over to Ikaros and bowed. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. For what purpose have you honored us with your presence?"

And the terminal just gets more crowded...

((Kaijuhunter: You do know that Depth 23 is a Clockwork Terminal right? The pool was in The Sanctuary in the Shadow Lair, and I think the Snarbolax is long gone by now. XD))

Trivoc

The comm link was quiet for a moment, Trivoc was now unsure if he should have asked about it in the first place. "Are you certain she is white? Because that would indicate that she is a Queen Valkyrie. The Queen Valkyries are rare spiritual beings, legendary for their superior command of the elements, greater even than the Owlites. Their subordinate Valkyries are always colored gold. She is to thank for giving us the energy needed to leave Cradle more than thirty cycles ago." Kora said.

Trivoc was a little bit surprised at this revelation. Only a little because it explained much of the things about her that had confused him. The surprise came from the fact that she was a mythical being, and the one who gave the Isorans the means to escape Cradle. Kora however, was not yet done.

"Her Void scar worries me, however. She may be dangerous, so keep an eye on her. I will speak with the brass about this matter, and then I will contact you again." She finished. "Understood. Although, I have reason to believe that the Void Scar has not rendered her corrupted. Over and out." Trivoc replied.

Just as the communication ended, a pebble flew past him and landed near Arkus. He, Trivoc, and Chappers turned to face the direction of the newcomer.

"Salutations, fellow Isorans... And Snarbolax. I am Lieutenant Ikaros Alpha, Vanguard of the Spiral Order." The female Knight then gazed up and continued. "Lovely weather we're having." She said.

She was a Knight wearing a white Valkyrie Set. And wielded a very large bow. Her helmet was also exposed, revealing a face with pink hair and deep blue eyes. She also had very small wings at her back. [Is it just me, or are all the girls I meet, strange in one way or another?] Trivoc thought to himself.

Arkus was the first to reply. "I'm afraid the Snarbolax you're speaking of is long gone." He said with a chuckle. Arkus then saluted. "I am Arkus. Formerly Guardian of the Spiral Order. This is Defender Trivoc, and Soldier Chappers. The girl over there is Gwen, although I wouldn't interrupt her if I were you. And yes, it is fine weather. Seeing as we're underground, heh." He said in his rich, deep voice.

Just as Arkus said that though, Gwen herself had arrived and greeted the newcomer personally. "Nevermind, then." Arkus said jovially.

Trivoc and Chappers saluted as well. "I trust you're the one The Spiral Order sent to pick up Jari Steelclaw?" Trivoc asked Ikaros.

Meanwhile Chappers moved forward. "Hey, it's a wolver pup!" He said as he grabbed the small creature. The Wolver pup barked in distaste, but Chappers continued to pet it and ruffle its fur. Trivoc thought it wouldn't be long before he got bitten. [I hope the thing's not rabid. The last thing I need is him having a mental breakdown again...]

One Wrong Turn

"crap" muttered Axis. For once in his life he didn't have a plan, the enforcer, the viper, did not have a plan. With a horrified stare he faced the freakish eyes that were staring right back at his squad. Some kind of black goo with red data lines oozed throughout the surrounding area. "We shouldn't have taken that elevator..." muttered one of the squad. And all around them the swarm awakened ready for a new meal. "alright, i'll get a sample the rest of you run for the nearest elevator." Axis said. "but we're not lea..." "GO, NOW!" Axis said. THe other 14 squad members ran into the distance. All kinds of horrors descended on him. He went 5 minutes without an injury but to his chagrin a dark chromalisk cut him right over his previous cut. "AHHHHHH!!!" the enforcer shouted with venomous pain. He managed to grab a piece of the ripped up lizard and put it into a vial. He and his squad then descended deeper and deeper...Missing 2 of his members. "we're close to that scientist now" "we're practically on top of him" "well then let's pick him up!" growled Axis angrily over the chatter of his terrified troops.

Well

Jari is waiting for pickup from Axis's team and the knights (besides Gwen) think that the decoy in the cage is Jari so I assume Axis and his group would swoop in after they leave.

Awaiting Rescue

The chip detector in Jari's pocket vibrated. Morai were near. Seemingly getting closer too. Jari hoped that they were here to rescue him. Obviously he had other ways to get up to the top, but the teleporter had an extremely high energy usage and the elevator was guarded by the group of knights. A valkyrie knight seemed to have a more than healthy interest in Jari's decoy. She was probably the one ordered to take the decoy up to Haven. Jari still had the detonator, and could detonate the knight at any moment but the elemental concerned him. He would love to be able to study her in a secure environment but it was risky. He'd have to build a trap for Gwen, and to begin with, chains to hold her. According to info files from the Morai database, dark elementals could only be held in volcanic iron and light elementals in shadow steel. Which one Gwen was however, was a mystery. Judging by her appearance she was a light elemental, but the scar could suggest otherwise. Jari sighed, and made a mental note to ask the Kyrto if he could borrow some materials from the storage.

Nerp!

Ikaros looked behind her and smirked at the soldier, Chappers, as he scooped up the Wolver pup. She'd enjoyed documentaries on Wolvers, and she knew that wherever a baby was, the mother, and more importantly the pack, would not be far behind. Turning her attention, she frowned for a moment at the Isoran in the poisonous-looking gear. "I take it this is Jari?" She said, pointing to him. Her gaze grew hard as she inspected Jari further. "He looks pathetic, in my opinion." Ikaros shook her head and turned toward Gwen, Trivoc, and Arkus. "No, i regret to inform you that I'm not the one who was sent. That was my brother, Tomo ((I'm going to make an app for him later)). No, i was dispatched to help combat the arriving Morai threat." Grinning, she added, "And it appears that i have come just in time. Anyway, if youre wondering why i'm here, I was supposed to establish a camp here. Supposedly, there is something of extreme importance in this area. Some type of stone..." Ikaros shook her head again.

Suddenly noticing how strangely Trivoc was looking at her wings, she blushed and willed them to become even smaller. Hearing a startled "Ow!" from Chappers, she turned around and smiled again. He was rubbing his finger sorely, cradling a small nip wound on the tip of his finger. Ikaros carefully took the Wolver pup away from him and set the little one gently onto the ground. "You really shouldn't handle animals like that. They may be adorable, but they're still wild." Scratching the pup behind the scruff of her neck, she nudged it away slightly, but the pup was adamant, licking on her finger affectionately. Ikaros thought she heard someone whisper "Awww", then quickly stood up.

"So... Why are you guys here?" She asked curiously.

@Azure: lol sorry about those mistakes. I can be stupid at times. :)
@ everyone else: any1 else want me to draw your character? :3 ))

Another little thing, a bonus to Ikaros' back story: Ikaros is half Warrior Class Valkyrie. They are elementals, and are the elite foot (or is it wing?) soldiers of the Valkyries. They are extremely loyal and are the best melee fighters among the Valkyries, which is the reason for her extreme combat prowess. This is also the reason for her wings. Neither Ikaros nor her father knew of her mother's true nature, which is why Ikaros never questioned why she had her wings.

@Seatus: why??

((@Seatus: I see no reason for you to quit. Try playing as an ordinary Knight or Warrior and see where that takes you. Underdog stories are often lots of fun. My character Gor'Kazam, for instance, is no more than a squad leader in this story, but is turning out to be fairly important. Come on, give it a shot! You might like Bod'Gured - his play style (stealth and seriousness) seems compatible with yours. Want to try handling him?))

Having found the rest of his squad, Kazam got all fourteen of them (Dagoon included) on the elevator and instructed them to follow him to Haven. During the trek, Larore took an interest in Dagoon. "So, you're not a knight, eh? Where are you from? I'm from Ilsola."

Meanwhile...

Gwen was intrigued by this Valkyrie "Ikaros," and found it odd that she would be loyal to the Spiral Order rather than to her. But she answered her question. "I was here to collect my Echo Stone from Trivoc," she said while gesturing in Trivoc's direction, "and discovered this Morai scientist here." She then looked at the others, expecting them to fill in their stories.

Chappers said nervously, "I was just accompanying Trivoc."
Arkus laughed and said, "I was guarding Trivoc through the Shadow Lair. Are you a real Valkyrie?"
Akenar grunted in accented Isoran, "Aye was gaaaardin' m'lady here," gesturing at Gwen.

((Knights kill Snarbolaxes every day. They're mortal. Even Gwen is, as we may discover by the end of this RP. Everyone is mortal. The difference is in how easily they can die. Kyrto won his position through great skill and ability in battle, so I don't reckon him to be very easily killed. Also, Seatus' brothers and Father are immortal, their vessels just are destroyed. The Core recreates the vessels once destroyed. This works with Seatus as well, but with him and his able to be killed by the Swarm, his vessel might be reborn, but the Swarm would control it. This is why he tries so hard not to die. Dropping In

Axis gripped his throbbing eye. That void chormalisk hurt more then expected. They had descended into a very different place then before....it was bathed in a shallow sunlight, and it felt good. His wound started to throb and hurt less. He spotted Jari, but he was surrounded by knights one was.....peculiar he sensed something off her. Then he saw it, a cut on her face like the one he had just obtained. "Alright, we move in the second they let down their guard." muttered Axis, "and watch out for that girl with the cut across her face." "Afraid of a girl axis?" one of his squad snickered. "shut up you fool." he said angrily. "activate the cloakers now" he muttered. Something it wouldn't be easy getting by that knight.....

Ikaros looked quizically at Arkus. "What do you mean? I'm no Valkyrie, I thought those only existed in myth and lore. No, I'm an Isoran, I just seem to have these wings. They can be a pain, but they're pretty useful most of the time." Ikaros nodded, then sensed something. She whirled around; for a minute, she thought she felt a large energy coming towards their location, a energy so malicious it could only be Morai. Still, it faded, and Ikaros dismissed it as a slip in her sanity. She absentmindedly scratched her new companion, the Wolver pup, behind the ear, but the idea came back to her head when Arkus casually drew an enormous blade and whirled it around, along with Gwen's nervous face. Something serious was going to go down soon, that much Ikaros knew. But what....

Her thought were interrupted as a squad of Morai dashed towards her and the group.

A change of plans

Axis smirked from the shadows. He saw a knight with wings gasp as his troops entered the battle. "I knew I should've tried to shoot it down when I had the chance." he grimaced. THe knights had been caught off guard, not at the sudden appearance of the Morai but the swiftness of their attack on them. The guardian knight shield bashed one of his recon troops immediately. Waking with a dazed start he only saw the butt of the sword descend on his head, knocking him out. THe other four were smarter, maneuvering around the squad they start letting loose a variety of colored projectiles, but few found their marks. "their trained well." muttered Axis clearly annoyed at how his men were being bested. But then one of them scored a hit, right on the guardians chest plate. He crumpled down immediately, it was obvious they were tired from fighting their way down. "come on the guardians shield is down use the canisters!" he thought to himself. And lucky for him one of his troops was smart enough to deploy one. And suddenly the land of purity was transformed into a cesspool he could see the knights gagging, even the knight in valkyrie armor was struggling to catch a fresh breath of air. His men began to don gas masks. With the stealth of a chromalisk he hurried over to the cage. But to his shock, it wasn't the prisoner they were looking for. And with that he instantly shouted "GET OUT!" "We can't risk this!" And with that all but one of his troops disappeared in a recon cloak. He then proceeded to whip out a detonator under his armor. "you're planning to blow him up?" one of his remaining men asked him as they rushed away invisible. No, his armor should protect him, i'm just going to create a distraction." "thank cradle that the idiot kept the bomb hidden.." He then saw two of his slower moving men vaporized by the knight with wings "so that wasn't our man?" "No" he growled....."but he's around here, find him NOW!" His conversation was interrupted by the valkyrian knight, and he found he was lying flat on his back detonator disarmed.....

Back In character

Ikaros had no time to think. She launched herself into the air, beating the wind with her wings. Without even thinking, she had whipped out her bow, poised to strike. She sent a short offering of her Energy to the goddess Artemis, and her bow's power began to charge. The wind swhirled stronger around Ikaros as the bow gathered power from the nature around it. She released the power from it, and a flurry of arrows veered towards the enemy. Six shots, but only two kills, Ikaros thought as she grimly watched the pair of unlucky Morai be reduced to ashes by the bow's strength. She watched in satisfaction as some of the Morai began to retreat, then slung her bow and drew her blades. The Divine Avenger emanated a harsh yellow glow, while her Final Flourish seemed as polished and sharp as ever. She descended, sneaking up one on Morai, when she felt poison seep into her lungs. Anger built up inside her, and she managed to still -albeit sluggishly- hold her own in the skirmish. She would NOT go down to these Morai. They had made a fatal mistake in choosing their bombs; poison was wretched. Ikaros. Hated. Poison. She hated to be restrained, by her bodily conditions, and even a poison strong enough to take down a full grown Skolver wouldn't best her. Ikaros lent a little more energy to Artemis, and she felt the cool rush of air as her system was cleansed of filth. Her eyes burned with rage, and she felt renewed. If anything, she had just gotten stronger. And how would she put that to use?

Why, by ripping the Morai to shreds, of course.

Ikaros felt a grim satisfaction boil down inside herself as she hacked down the Morai. Was she really this violent? She never, NEVER ever thought of killing actual people. This wasn't her nature.

Or was it?
-------
After the Morai had been disarmed -they got a good pounding from Ikaros' Divine Avenger-, Ikaros put her healing skills to use, cleansing the other Knights of the poison that had invaded their bodies. Suddenly remembering the Wolver pup, she whippednher head around, searching for the little furball. There was no sign of him. Maybe he had gone back to his pack. Or maybe he- "Arf!" The wolver pup squeaked.

Ikaros smiled, but then she turned towards the wounded Morai, and her expression hardened. She turned to Gwenyvier.

"So, what are we gonna do with these scumbags?

((Edit: i made it so she only killed 2 of the squad,

Uh I think there's some confusion

Wait, I thought i said that only one was compromised and the others were just either injured badly or minutely and Axis only had 5 men uncloak and run out from cover.

The story continues.

((@Kaijuhunter: That's not bad, actually. Nice work.))

Acting quickly, Gwen activated a small vortex and sucked in the poison from the canisters. She then sprung into action.

She twirled in the air and smacked Axis on the head with the hilt of her flourish. She finished her twirl with a skid, tripping several of Axis's squadmates and disarming them as she went. Jumping out of the skid and somersaulting in the air landed her squarely on top of another warrior, whom she promptly punched out before elbowing another that tried to charge at her from behind. She saw Axis pull out a detonator, and darted for it. With the tip of her flourish, she plunged the detonator out of his hand and caught it with her own.

With Axis's entire squad now disarmed and nursing their wounds, she took the opportunity to chat with them. She sheathed her flourish, pulled out her pipe, and sat down.

"I wish you'd introduce yourselves before attacking us, but seeing as you're all disarmed and weary now, we might as well take the time for proper introductions. My name is Gwenyvier. What is your name, enforcer?"

Axis spat at her. "You won't hear a THING from me, Valkyrie scum!" Gwen wiped the spit off her armor and put it on Axis. "I'm neither Spiral nor Morai. I have established friendly relations with both sides, and have no wish to kill members of either one. So..." she lit her pipe. "...mind telling me your name now?"

confused but alright.

"tch you won't hear a thing valkyrie scum." Axis spat in disgust. He reached for a second detonator that would detonate his armor, thus killin him and leaving no info left for the knights to retrieve, but he was rudely interrupted by the guradian knight, he felt his hand disarmed and then he was subdued again. "You aren't going anywhere." "I won't tell you anything!" he spat. He needed a way to detonate the canisters, escape and find jari, but how? His scar started to hurt again...It was whenever that valkyrie knight stepped near him. "ARGH this is hopeless!" he muttered, might as well play along for a bit he thought reluctantly... "you're mistaken." Axis said with skills that would make a snipe believe it couldn't fly, "your idiotic friend with wings vaporized him."

EDIT: Added a few extra lines of conversations.

My perception of the battle.

((@Gzilla, you didn't actually say that Axis's group was cloaked. Now, from what I read, 5 of Axis's men sprung into action, firing off shots and deploying a poison canister. The other 10 men stayed behind with Axis. The initial actions of the first 5 took no more than a few seconds, by which time Gwen was preparing her vortex to remove the poison. Then Axis shouted for a retreat, which alerted her to the presence of other Morai. Axis and his men presumably uncloaked to retreat faster, which would have worked if Gwen wasn't any faster than they were (which, of course, she was). Upon catching up with Axis, she began her attack movements described above.))

Slightly Disgruntled

Jari smirked as Axis approached the cage, but he realised that he had to give away his position to Axis's group but not the Spiralians. He activated his Morai detector chip, which all Morai should have with them at all times. A small chip on Axis' pocket vibrated and beeped quietly.

The effects of "Breaking Wind"

((Gonna try to catch up with the current scene. You guys post real fast, when I'm not around XD))

Trivoc

"No, i regret to inform you that I'm not the one who was sent. That was my brother, Tomo. No, i was dispatched to help combat the arriving Morai threat. And it appears that i have come just in time. Anyway, if youre wondering why i'm here, I was supposed to establish a camp here. Supposedly, there is something of extreme importance in this area. Some type of stone..."

Ikaros locked eyes with Trivoc for a moment, noticing the Knight in the Miracle Hood looking at he wings. She visibly blushed, and her wings seemed to become smaller. Trivoc smiled. [She's actually kind of cute...] He thought.

"I was here to collect my Echo Stone from Trivoc,"Gwen said
"I was just accompanying Trivoc." Chappers said
"I was guarding Trivoc through the Shadow Lair. Are you a real Valkyrie?" Arkus said.

"What do you mean? I'm no Valkyrie, I thought those only existed in myth and lore. No, I'm an Isoran, I just seem to have these wings. They can be a pain, but they're pretty useful most of the time." Ikaros replied to Arkus' question.

"Aye was gaaaardin' m'lady here," The Gremlin Stalker said in a strange accent, gesturing to Gwen.

"Oh..." Trivoc began, just now realizing that he was expected to speak. "Well, Gwen gave me an assignment to collect the Echo Stone. Like they said, Arkus and Chappers accompanied me. We've been in this terminal for quite some time." He said.

Trivoc was a little surprised when Arkus suddenly pulled out his Perun, and started whirling it about playfully. He wondered what it could mean. [Hmm. We're trained not to draw our weapons unless there's danger nearby. Could he have been told differently?... Wait a second] He thought as he noticed Gwen and Ikaros draw their weapons as well. [Something's going on... Wait! didn't Ikaros mention something about a Morai threat?]

Trivoc pulled out his Cold Iron Vanquisher and darted his eyes around. Waiting for anything.

---

Sure enough, they were attacked. It was lucky that they had anticipated the enemy, or they might not have stood a chance.

Trivoc had a hard time making anything out of the chaos of combat, but he was ducking behind his shield while taking shots with his Argent Peacemaker. He heard a Morai grunt from one of the directions that he had shot, but he had no time to confirm the kill. Meanwhile, Morai shots were sparking off his Aegis, but none of them had hit Trivoc yet.

Suddenly, a green gas covered the battlefield, and filled Trivoc's head. Before his vision went blurry, he noticed Chappers go into a firing frenzy with his Pepperbox. He was probably dazed with the gas as well.

Trivoc noticed two Morai [Or is it four? Ack! I can't tell in this blur], wearing what appeared to be Gas Masks, closing in on his position with two, deadly-looking blades (It was the least he could make out, with his toxin-induced daze). Trivoc drew his Vanquisher and prepared to fight. There was little chance that he would win, but he swore that he wasn't going down without a fight.

Just as the Morai got close to him, they were suddenly reduced to dust by some sort of projectile that came from above. Trivoc looked up to see his savior, and saw only pink wings before he passed out from the gas.

---
Trivoc's eyes were flat, but as he began to recover from the effects of the poison, they started to go into a sleepy look.

When he awoke, he saw an angel-like figure above him, putting her hands over him, they seemed to be glowing with a strange light. [Am I dead?] Trivoc thought, almost believing that the gas had finished him off.

Once his vision cleared, and his eyes returned to "normal", he realized that he was still in the Clockwork Terminal, and the figure above him was Ikaros.

Trivoc suddenly darted up into a sitting position, much to the surprise of Ikaros who was still healing him. "Uhh, I'm uh... feeling better. You should go help the others." Trivoc said. Ikaros nodded and started helping Arkus. [That was embarrassing... And you actually thought you could impress a Vangaurd, Trivoc?] He thought.

He turned to the left and saw Chappers holding his head as he tried to stand up. He fell back to the floor quite quickly. Trivoc however did notice that there was a dead Morai who had several bullet wounds in his chest. From the unfortunate warrior's location in relation Chappers, Trivoc assumed that the Cobalt Soldier unloaded a whole Pepperbox magazine straight into that Morai. [If he did that before the gas, then he might actually be a decent Soldier. If it was during his frenzy then, well... It's a good thing no one got hurt] Trivoc thought.

His attention was then taken by the remaining Morai survivors who were being held prisoner by Gwen and the Gremlin Stalker. The Queen Valkyrie seemed to be interrogating their leader.

Trivoc stood up and checked his gear. His Argent Peacemaker had used up about four magazines in the whole fight (meaning he had about 11 magazines left), and his Aegis was mostly shiny, but visibly dented in some odd places. His Radiant Silvermail had taken no damage, but his Miracle Hood appeared to be grazed close to his head on the left side. [I was literally inches away from death... Not a very good thought, but at least I'm alive]

Trivoc then headed towards the Morai squad (or what was left of it) and kept his Argent Peacemaker aimed at them, in case they tried anything. Although he was still recovering from the poison, he was sure he'd be able to shoot with a good enough accuracy to kill one of them. all of them at once however, was a different story.

Captive

He was surprised the knights had such an easy time learning the truth. Axis felt the tip of a very sharp blade against his throat. "Don't play anymore games." said the knight with wings angrily. "After that stunt you just pulled, you're lucky that I don't just vaporize you right now." He smirked, he figured that the valkyrian was the one that was on to him. Annoying forces of nature, if she hadn't been here he could've easily taken out the rest of the squad, but the girl with the bow might've been a problem. "So what do you want?" "An I'm sorry?" he smirked. "He then felt his throat stomped by a very large foot, "You'll treat us with respect." the guardian knight growled. That's when he felt the tracking chip start to hum. He'd have to stall more. He spit his distaste at him. "Oh we're going to get along just fine now." thought Axis sarcastically.

Thank you, Svanto.

((Thanks Svanto, I'd nearly forgotten. May I take a few creative liberties with your posts? I'm going to recap a little.))

Serko awoke in the cell to find that Tyrexo wasn't there, and the room seemed to have been in a huge fire. The jail bars were weakened by the fire, so he broke the bars with his bare hands and stepped out of the cell. He sneaked up along the sides of the stairs, when he heard footfalls on the next floor. The knights knew he was free and were going catch him again. He grabbed an iron bar and when the knights stepped into the room, he struck the leader in the head. The other two knights began to try and corner him. One shield-bashed him into a wall while the other tried to smash him with a charge attack. Serko ducked under the charge and smacked the knight upside the head with the bar, which only stunned him. He proceeded to hit the knight in several strategic places, crumpling him to the ground. The other knight deactivated his shield, grabbed his blaster, and began firing. Serko dodged a couple shots, absorbed one, and charged up to the knight, who barely managed to swap to his sword again and clashed it with Serko's bar. Serko kicked the knight in the groin, only to find an armored cup. The knight broke the clash and swung at him, landing an agonizing blow on his armor. He would have landed another one, but Serko rolled out of the way and countered with a jab from his bar. The bar hit only shield, as the knight had cancelled his second swing. However, Serko noticed that there was an uninterrupted path through the exit, and made a break for it. By now, the knight had called security, and lights and alarms were blaring around the ship, but by the time security arrived, Serko had found his armor suit and had sneaked out in an empty crate.

But now he had to escape from the Spiral settlement. Using his power scanner, he scanned for the presence of Morai tracking chips (implanted under the skin of every Morai warrior). The signals appeared to be coming from underground. He dearly hoped that it wasn't just because they were on the other side of the planet. He headed in the general direction of the signals, and soon came upon a small town. Before he entered it, he noticed an odd arrangement of bushes and branches. It looked like it was trying to disguise something. He checked it out, and discovered that it was covering the entrance to a tunnel. He heard voices coming from inside, so he brushed aside the cover and entered.

He recognized the accent as being Morai. He had found his brethren! He cried out to them, and there was silence. Then he heard whispers, and a beserker dressed in bombing gear came out of the darkness. "Alloh? Who goes there?" Serko replied joyfully, "I'm Van'Serko! I'm a Morai!" The bomber smirked and replied, "You are, huh? I'm Eq'Larore. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Serko looked around. "Where are we?" Larore pointed to a pair of support pillars. "You're in a mining tunnel, my friend. I'll tell you all about it when you've joined the rest of the group." Serko was astonished. "Surely you're not seerus?" Larore snorted and laughed. "I'm not Seerus, but I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

((All Morai names have a birth name and family name. I gave Serko the birth name of "Van," named after yourself, "Svanto."))

The Swarm

He kept....drifting. Even in his current condition Axis was thinking about something totally off hand. ALl he saw was darkness, the deepest darkness, the only difference was a blood red eye in the middle of it. His head started to ache, he was in a cold sweat, his breathing shallowed. "Those THINGS infected me he thought." He didn't know what was going to happen next, but one thing was for sure, he couldn't let the valkyrie know about this, she could exploit it. They were renowned for exorcisms, eradication of evil, and especially symbiotic beings. And with that he drifted back into thought, where all he saw was the darkness ever consuming, ever thinking, ever...WATCHING....

Recap

In the beginning, Gwen asked Trivoc to go down through a Shadow Lair to pick up a special Echo Stone. Trivoc went with Arkus, recoverd it, and headed back up to depth 23. Meanwhile, the Al'truis Mothership deployed the Morai forces in a hurry because the Skylark was arriving sooner than expected. Jari had left the Al'truis and sent a snipe bomber to blow up Rescue Camp, which the Morai then moved into and set up camp. They destroyed a poor knight, which enraged Gor'Kazam, who proceeded to train them in the ways of honor. Serko had damaged the Skylark in the meantime, and escaped to the Al'truis in an escape pod before heading down to the surface. Soon, the Skylark arrived, and decimated the Morai forces, forcing them underground. Serko was caught by the Knights but escaped. Gor'Kazam was busy building a tunnel underneath Haven in order to crumble its defenses. Meanwhile, Jari accidentally hit D23, and had to hide, since several parties, including Ikaros, were searching for him. Axis was ordered to recover him, but he got infected by the Swarm and subsequently captured by Gwen and Ikaros.

Jari groaned as he saw Axis get captured. Apparently, he would have to make his own way out. There were two ways to get back up. One was to sneak through the knights to the elevator, and the other was to go down the forgotten bridge. The kingdom of the swarm. Jari didn't want to, but he knew he had no choice. He made the long trek towards the swarm, and to certain death.

Plan B

When the chip started to calm down, Axis suddenly realized that Jari was making his escape. "smart." he thought to himself. "Use us as a distraction and escape yourself." He then mentally check wether he brought his min com pack. He had. "good, I'll be able to contact Jari after he escapes and when i'm left alone." he thought. Maybe the ex-knight had some info on whatever had attacked him in that tunnel. It was a good thing he had gotten a sample from one of the vile things in the passage. He'd also have to contact superiors, one of them he knew was still alive, Kazam, he'd heard he had escaped throughout tunnels created by the skylark's regin of destruction. His captors had suddenly went off to the side. They were discussing what to do with him and his squad. He might not be alive long enough to report to Kazam after all.

NOTES: the mini com pack is smaller then a regular one of course, about the size of a mini portable radio.
