hi all

Just sold:

Blaster ASI VH @ 25k ce.
I may have haggled the price up, that was his initial offer. He seemed a cool dude (koldsplin) and the thing has just been setting in my inventory since fate, fortune, and favor smiled upon that crafting alt some 5 months ago. In my infinite laziness I never made much of an effort to sell. But he had his WTB thread up, soooooo, why not.

Give the leafy aura buyers my name. I'll see just how much they really want one :D. I will vouch for the 55k ce on hacked auras. Don't doubt that could be haggled up too!
--[Glad i bought 3 of them for 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8m during that promo, and the last 2 were a bit of an overpay =O. I knew i was going to take a long break from the game, so i figured "might as well buy these rare auras that are only going to accrue in value!" I've since used one and traded one for a leafy aura. As long as i have a leafy and a hacked unbound, i can sleep easy at night.]

Whoever said Green Leafy > Hacked was wrong...they were wrong. Even when hacked was brand new during the surge promo and everyone was acting like excited little school girls, green leafy = hacked + 5k ce. I know, I got two at that rate. Used one, traded one for hacked + 10k ce, then later traded that hacked +5k ce for leafy, lol. In that way i had 2 of each :) have since used one of each.

and green leafy on green rose....nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. use auras on armors that they contrast with in an appealing way, not on ones they blend in with. Green leafy on hunter gear/ green rose....hacked on surge/vog.....it hurts my heart. But then, i realize, we all have our own tastes and preferences. But i like contrast dangit. All the snarby accessories on snarby gear and divine accessories on divine gear. I'd personally swap them and get that beautiful black and white "pop," if not for the fact i am opposed to visually wearing wolver gear in general. Gotta cover that up with costumes, yo!! (again personal preference.)

Well, I've had a preference for costumes that match for a while, such as my green rose set with 4 military accessories, or my frosty fur set with... 6 winter accessories, or even my soon-to-be shiny divine Skolver set... :/ just my personal preference, but... :L how much you want for a green leafy aura? I doubt I can outbid someone like Stelli, but might as well give it a shot :/

IMO, double max>triple high, though some people would prefer the latter just to cover more defenses. Also, the accs on the cap are worth more than on coat :/ so sorta balances out in my view

Hmm, if it were Skolver cap no accs, that would be an easy 17-20kce, and throwing all those accs on may raise price by 8-10kce, so the cap, I would say ~25-30kce, depending on if you find a buyer.

Now, the Skolver coat is a bit more tricky. As far as I know, a Skolver coat with those UVs would be worth 23-28kce (basing this off offers I've received for my double max coat XD) and with accs maybe add 3-4kce, so coat would be ~27-32kce

If you're selling as a set, I'd recommend a b/o of 60kce, starting bid 30kce, and work your way up from there. Consider selling at any offer above 55kce. If selling individually, maybe set a b/o of 32kce for each item, and a starting bid of 16kce on each? :) Really is a nice set.

@Rating hmm, a Skolver coat normal max shadow max should be around 25kce, maybe tack on an extra 1kce for the piercing med. If you take into consideration the tails tails, pricing them at ~40% unbound value, you would end up with 30-31kce. And being evil is no reason to not listen to a price check >:D I'm evil too

My thoughts.

THE CAP.
I think that overall 2 Maxes is > 3 highs. Much better. And when you are selling a piece of gear that is bordering on the upper end of things such as this, you are selling to collectors who collect collectables. Again, making the double max more desirable. It has all the potential in the world to become a triple max, or at least a double max single high. The triple high has no more chance of being a triple Max than a clean Skolver cap, and less than a clean wolver, in a way (since a clean wolver still has a chance to grab max UVs on level up).

Also, when you start looking at truly monstrous numbers, which is what super UV'd gear commands, you are looking primarily at Lockdown players, as it serves a functionality there, whereas it serves vanity more than anything to PvE players. And while we are all vain, few are that vain (i am, lol). But those with vanity of my levels also would not settle for less than maxes, or at least the chance of maxes. To truly compete in PvP versus the other top gear (compete gear wise) you need to start with pierce max, or shock max and start hoping for the other.

[though the 3 UVs you have on high are all good LD UVs so that helps out.]
Lastly, the Crown of Winter and Frosty Scarf add to its value. You can basically pretend as if the golden laural doesn't exist. Your potential buyer may or may not want that on there, i know i wouldn't.

I'd value the piece @ 20-30k ce.
If you found a player who was willing to settle for less than maxes but valued the triple high, and didn't desired to have a Crown of Winter on whatever Skolver cap they ended up with, well then, you could be able to get the max end on that. but that is for a seller who is willing to advertise in game, make a thread on here, and wait as long as it takes until you find that one special "mr. right purchaser." (potentially more, its so hard to judge a piece like this). Don't know your mindset on this, or how patient you want to be with it. The sad thing is, you are not likely to get a value for it that is equal to what you'd likely pay to roll it, barring great luck. Its just stuck there in no-man's land. So unless you want to use it until you get that perfect offer, and if you aren't patient, your best bet for selling might be to sell to a known reseller. Kyorisho-Xz. Shadoowcs. Tigar. Hellohippo. Minase. One of these guys who is a bit notorious for buying premade costumes for resell. But you aren't likely to get the high end of things.

THE COAT.

3rd Uv needs to be re-rolled.
This item suffers because it doesn't have Pierce Max or Shock Max. So you are basically now selling this item to a PvE player and not a PvP player. This means that your overall pricing is going to be diminished. There are a few players that might still be interested, someone like me (though i'm not, lol, well i am INTERESTED in it, its sweet, just not interested in buying it, sorry) or someone like Mbscsp (he is one of the few PvE players who pays top dollar for cool things. But he might have a triple max or at least double max skolver coat. or he might not play anymore, idk). When evaluating this piece you might have to strike the value-added price of the tails-tails. Thats an acquired taste. Me and many others hate it. I'd go unbind that and the laural first things first. If you sell it as a set, than the the crest of winter and crown compliment each other and command higher value. Both are more discounted if sold separately.

I'd call this one, 20k-30k as well.
While double max is worth more than triple high (as i said above), i'd argue the purchaser of the bottom items is someone who is going to reroll that third UV aiming for triple max. The purchaser of the Skolver Cap is going to be a Lockdown player who is settling for High and going to keep all three as is. So he is paying for all three UVs, the purchaser of the coat is only paying for 2 UVs.

Which brings my total value proposition to 40k-60k ce, from my logic.
I would even suggest, since its such a hard item to price, that you allow for a 5k ce margin of error on each piece, give or take. So while i estimate 40-60k, i could be over valuing and it could be 30-50k. or i could be down on it compared to others and maybe its really 50-70k. So you want to say, Okay UV than its 30-70k!!! No. its 40-60k. I don't think its worth so little as 30k or so much as 70k, one is you making a mistake the other is them making a mistake. but again, just my opinions.

I have a tendency to walk through my thought process when appraising items and explaining my thought process and how i come to my conclusions.

Thoughts? Feelings? Should I change it?
How do the regulars feel about this approach? Do you enjoy it and think it adds to the thread, or would you prefer i simply give an appraisal without explanation.

I consider it like a math test that says: SHOW ALL WORK. But if people find it cumbersome and pedantic, i'll abbreviate it to: "Yo G, dat sh!z be werth a pretty penny, about X,XXX CE, playa."

I see what you mean, that's what I thought about the coat... Well, maybe I was too hasty comparing it with my coat, as mine has piercing max as one of the max UVs... Skolver with shadow max normal max won't even be very useful in PvE, as far as I know only useful in rabid snarby or rotting metropolis, places like that XD

Personally, I've never had the eye for tails tails, always thought they looked a bit... Crude...
I'm fine with a golden laurel, tho not with a crown of winter, the laurel makes the crown seem dimmer :c

Edit: :3 I've always found it nice to walk through the thought process, shows that we didn't just grab a number out of midair and present it upon a silver platter. UV, your contributions are greatly appreciated :D definetely adds to the thread, we need more people who are willing to post Lugiriu-style.

If I were selling the set minus the UVs I would sell the lot for 30kce.

Skolver cap with crown of winter + golden laurel + frosty scarf .....20,000ce
Skolver coat with crest of winter + tails tail .....10,000ce (I sold my skolver coat + tails tail for 8kce)

With the 2 max, 4 highs and 1 medium I would add a total of at least 25-35kce (I'm sure you spent quite a bit of cr to get these)

So overall I would say a fair price would be 55-65kce (which is around about what the peeps above me said)

Just because something is rare doesn't make it worth more especially if it looks rubbish. Hacked aura is probably 2nd best aura in the game. First being Twilight IMO.

I've only seen two leafy auras, but I thought it looked quite nice... It is true that hacked looks cooler, but like UV probably would say, on some sets it doesn't POP ＼(^o^)／
Leafy aura, the times I've seen it, was easily visible, and added a nice "tropical" image. However, I must agree with you on the twilight=#1 thing XD

TIP of the week: If you have a few $$ to spare, you can create alt accounts, and buy the smallest available ce pack, to make it a premium account. Premium accounts have separate mist tanks, so that allows for either rage crafting or more play time.

I prefer the leafy look over the hacked, proving what we all already know, its all about personal preference. I even try to make sure to put it on armors that won't clip out the mesh :)

I agree the hacked works with more gear, but i think the leafy works more completely with the limited gear it fits. I don't like that the hacked aura has a built in red color in it (the other half being prism). Thus, imo, any armor with red/purple (volcanic/surge) automatically loses half the aura, or close. And the red clashes with any outfit that i don't intend to have red on. Ultimately, they are both awesome, both cooler than twinkle, ghostyly, haunted, and flame. I think i like them both more than the twilight, but probably only because i've had my twilights forever, and these two are newer.

The hacked is more popular, i'm aware, and the only thing that keeps leafy being "worth" more is its older and more rare, FOR NOW. I do see a day in the future that the hacked will end up being more expensive--assuming no re-issues. Also, in sprialspy you can change the colors to blue, light blue, white, orange, etc.. Makes me think they may have an autumn leaves aura, winter leaves aura, etc.. some day. Its on the table at least. If those get issued then green leafy aura will drop in value, since blue leafy aura, white leafy aura, orange leafy aura, brown leafy aura will all be direct competitors.

edit: apop is so right about my take on this, lol. its official, i am posting too much in attempt to avoid doing anything truly productive :D
protip: Fire up your time machine, go back in time and buy the 75 cent package. Mist crafting alts out the wazoo. I can still recall thinking "seventy-five cents for 100 mist energy every day for the rest of my SK career.....i can spend 4 bucks for a recurring 500 mist per day."

Sunshine aura should be hitting 23kce at this point, although summer's rolling around, so you better sell quickly XD depends on if you think there will be a re-release of the aura. If not, try selling it for 24kce b/o. If you believe that it could come back, get it off your hands real quick, like maybe a 18kce b/o, tho that is a bit too low XD
Regal valks are 10-11kce currently, as I had a pair and sold them for 10kce almost instantly

Mega Magnus is going to be 10-12k ce. Or 10-11k might be more accurate. I know its not TOO HARD to get 10k for the magnus and not very easy to get much more. So really, the extra unbind fee is about what you can charge above and beyond the 10k ce for a ctr vh magnus. Especially since the ctr vh 5* versions are more for fun than utility.

If you can't sell it after awhile and decide you'd take less than market value for it then shoot me a PM. Thats only if its something you know you won't use, can't find a buyer and tire of trying, and don't mind accepting a fair clip under the price check value. I'm only 50/50 that i'd make an offer on it, since i already have a near useless normal gun (vh ctr valiance, lol) but i do collect vh ctr. And i'd be purchasing to use, not resell. Would bind in front of you.

--or i'd trade a vh ctr antigua for it right now :p since i have vh ctr on my ap and sent both. Though in fairness, thats a bit of a low offer too. I'd make it into an iron slug, since i already have the vh ctr callahan.

This thread IS serving its intended purpose. When i sold my blaster asi vh for 25k ce, that guy linked me to this thread as where he got the 25k ce price. I have had others refer to this thread as well :)

For that reason, the other contributors such as myself, rating, apop and anyone else who is willing to share their "pricing intelligence or pricing process" should give their thoughts and opinions, even if being asked about an item clearly listed on the front page, and even if we know you have updated recently. This helps to serve as a checks and balance system on pricing, and makes for truer prices and avoids this becoming a thread of one man's or two men's view of the economy. Even as it is, I worry somewhat that its a thread of 4 people's opinions, lol, but for 90% of that it is four people with knowledge all working under a fiduciary agreement. Very little conflicts of interest (i know i've not shaved a price or inflated a price on any item for my own personal gain. Doesn't mean i'm always right).

As i said in my PM to you, by being regular contributors we are all giving our endorsement to the pricing listed in this thread, indirectly giving our endorsement to prices on the front page we may disagree with or have never scoured and seen. Thus it is our duty to give our own price on any price we check. Sure it would be nice if it worked more like "Hey I see item X has a price of Y on the first page. Is this still accurate? Mine also has this UV and these accessories!" or something like that.

So really, the people who ignore the first page when asking serve a public good, if only a necessary evil, in that they force us to revisit current thots on pricing. Those of us who give our pricing on these items without checking first serve as reinforcement (if its the same price or darn near), a second point of data entry that highlights a slight difference of opinions helping to establish a spread, or a sign that a whole scale re-evaluation is necessary.

tl;dr
1. The front page
2. People who ignore the front page when asking
3. People who ignore the front page when answering
All three of these are necessary for this thread to work and continue to be relevant. If you care as to why, read above.

Hm....CTR VH Mega Magnus I'd say about 8k CE+, just because the charge isn't useful given the type of enemy that's weak to piercing :/ There will be someone who's willing to pay for it just for fun, but I'd expect it'd be hard to get a serious offer over 8k CE.

@Arck What is this list you speak of? I think I'm all set, just gonna keep to my "smart" posts whenever I feel the need to drop in and say hello :) That and correcting you when you tell someone a CTR VH Mega Magnus is worth 15k CE >.< doh!

There are 542 posts on this thread, within this number of posts many people have asked for price checks and people have answered. Do I have a problem with that...ofcourse not lol. There is no discussion on that. XD

Secondly. Page 1 contains a list of every accessory available in the current game except for the accessories from the latest promo. What people dont understand is that list IS NOT the opinion of ONE PERSON, if I remember correctly (I wrote the number down) over 30 people helped with it. Thats 3....0.....not 1. Yes the list wont be 100% accurate, but I atleast want people to have the option to check prices there, and like you said yourself if they see its wrong they can let us know. Thus why I had and have no problem with the point above. You have to have people look at the list for us to be notified that something needs changing. And that doesnt mean only the 4 of us, more people that look at it, the more people can give an opinion, it leads to a more fair result.

He is the kind of person that will take every meaning negatively. Recent example is here on this page. Look at the way you responded clearly explained your reasoning compared to his comments. He is quick to judge someone, without thinking. As you can see he quoted

"Editt: Plus, why would I give someone a blatantly incorrect price check just because it's on your list? I'm just looking out for their best interests"

He has to add something cheeky in his posts when he knows very well that more than one person made the list, yet he says its "my" list. This is my thread, not my list. Read the OP. What he has been doing since page 1 is when ever he doesnt agree with something he will attack the credability of the list and troll, recent example Ice-Frogs thread, which makes me lol. Surely this makes sense to you and I. If there are "blatantly incorrect" price tags on there would you not help and list them here so we can see and I can update?

If you read above I have asked him to list all the "blatantly incorrect" prices, but you can see his lol comment to that lol.

In conclusion. I have provided a thread that gives someone 2 options. I would most gratefully appreciate it if people use both and highlight any concerns with thier own input if possible.

I said 15kce MAX. What I have is a bad habit of doing is pricing something based on the unbind of a 5 star item. Reason, because I only used to follow sales of 5 star gears before I made this thread. A callahan will easily fetch around 15kce as its not something people rage craft and to some, like me, spamming charge is alot of fun :D. Saying that the way I said it makes complete sense. Dont pay more than 15kce basically. Same as if I said divine halo, 18kce MAX. Dont pay more than 18kce. If it were a 5 star 15kce would be a very honest price. Fair enough its a 4 star now, but there is nothing stopping the seller crafting it up and trying to make more ce. In all fairness 10-12kce like apo said is a good price for a 4 star. But ic it were 5 star IMO 15kce is a darn good price. If you think about it, the seller will only make 11kce if he sold a callahan CTR V.high for 15kce because of the 4kce unbind. :D

8kce is a joke for an item like this. Just because you find CTR a waste doesnt mean its a waste for everyone else. Remember Rating, when you give a price check it has to benefit everyone not just yourself :D

P.S. How is your homework coming along? I tasked you with producing a list of all the correct prices of the "blatantly incorrect" ones. Homework is due by the end of the 31st May. Which is today. So better hurry up. You do want whats best for everyone right?

EDIT: I bet right now he has his glasses and thinking cap on, and is manically laughing while typing the "ultimate" response to my post. I think I'll do him a favour and the rest of you justice and ignore him until he is a good boy and does what he is told. <69

My original idea about the thread was that they would post something on, and we would make a price check. :3 true, having the list doesn't hurt, as long as EVERYTHING is accurate. If something isn't, someone can easily come along and see that, then leave without double checking. (IMO we remove post #2, does virtually nothing, and is built off mostly one person XD lava)

And my finals start in two hours, so Imona be studying, but like Arc, I will be monitoring this thread waiting for Rating's masterpiece

(No solid price for the crest, I've seen them sell for 2kce, I've seen them sell for 10kce (Had a laugh over that with a friend), prices are really unstable as they are, so I'd recommend either waiting, or go looking for people willing to pay 8kce+ for it :3)

Heavy Demo Helmet ele high - 2.5k CE (keep in mind that plain 4* items don't usually sell for unbind, so 1k CE plain + 1.5k CE for ele high)
Mewkat Monster - sold my last one for 7k CE
Crest of Storms - 150k cr - 300k cr for now (best i can do is give you a range of prices I've seen them sold at over the past 3 days)

PS - you may mock my 8k CE+ valuation (for whatever reason), but I'm very interested to see what kind of price he ends up getting for the gun. Hopefully the seller will come back here and post final sale price. EDIT: I find it hard to believe that someone would pay more for a CTR VH Mega Magnus than they would for a CTR VH Sealed Sword (given CTR VH Sealed Swords have been selling for 7-10k CE lately)

I tend to agree

I tend to agree with rating on the gun.

To me its just one of those items that what it should be worth and what it will fetch, therein lies a gap in existence. Given a statistical analysis it should be worth more than 8k ce--% chance of getting ctr vh adjusted by the # of magnus guns being crafted. These makes this item fairly done rare. So it should bring a good price by this logic. BUT, unless you are waiting around for double digit months for that one person who wants it as a vanity, you just aren't getting its analytical "worth." (in quotes to throw off the "i thing is only worth what someone will pay for it." not here for semantics.)

To me, what it will fetch realistically is probably more around the 8k rating mentioned. I said 10k ce because had i crafted it and didn't want to use it, i'd stash it until someone came up with 10k ce offer.

@Arc:
Don't get sucked into the internet trap. On the internet--mmo's especially--a certain personality type likes to provoke, instigate, and needle at others. In those same arenas we see a personality type that feels they must speak their mind when they have the right of way, and point out what is being done. This leads to the Internet/MMO trap where, ironically, a person is basically spending as much time as they can interacting with the person(people) they like the least.

I saw this when i was a GM. I'd have members complaining to me about the private chats, guild chats, in game run chats, and mumble chats, and what someone else said to them on Facebook!!! Meanwhile i'm thinking "take this drama BS and get away from me." It was unfathomable to me why these two people (or cliques) were interacting with eachother on 4-5 different platforms when they clearly hated each other--yet they come on and immerse their experience in one another. If you don't like someone or how they act, put them on ignore in game. (My ignore list is healthy). On the forums, put them on ignore in your brain, and keep on moving.
