Still someone might have been very desperate for the cool to finish thier costume....

from time to time is an understatement.
prism and divine tails have appeared on the auction house for either over a year or nearly a year on a regular time based rotation. If you want one of these, all you have to do is wait for it to turn up. if it goes to high, wait 2 more weeks, if you miss that one, wait 2 more weeks, or whatever the time frame is on the regular rotation.
sure would be nice if OOO seen fit to install some variety into the featured auctions. But they are as extremely lazy in this as everything else. So we get the same selection over and over and over and over from now until the inevitable death of this game. With a very rare occasional seasonal diversion. Yes, i am bitter about their lack of effort.

Saying that, I was very surprised to see gold and blue rose reg sets on there. But thats the one and only time I have been surprised.
Furthermore I think they should make things more fair on EU players especially the UK <69, sorry everyone else XD. They should change the time of when stuff go up on featured. So its during the day when we are AWAKE. I know alot of people say its random but for me it seems every time I'm alseep violet/coral chaps have come and gone. Still this is a topic for another thread.

I dont have a sale to tie this to as an alibi.
Volcanic Maedate = 100-200k.
Reasoning:
There are two volcanic colors in play when it comes down to volcanic accessories.
Group 1
--We have a deep, rich, lustrous looking maroon-ish color. This is the color of the mecha wings, the bomb bandolier, the vitakit, the helm guards, parry/side blades. It is the eye-catching color of a fiery bombhead mask, and accents and compliments surge gear as well. It is the style of volcanic that matches (better) the Vog set and the volcanic wolver tail and volcanic plate armor and volcanic demo.
Group 2
--There is also a brighter (and flatter) red that does not match as well. It really looks more like toasty accessories than volcanic. This is the red we see in the maedate, the mohawk, on the center of the barrel belly, among some others.
Quite frankly, the toasty colored volcanic gear is not as pretty (subject to opinion and taste, i'm aware) than is the deeper inarguably more unique color of the 'other' volcanic gear. Thus, the volcanic maedate is worth more than most, simply for the name, but less than other rare (volcanic/divine/prism/shadow) accessories due to its aesthetics.
And one more reason, personal taste aside, why the deeper volcanic accessories are worth more. Because Group 1 contains the most expensive volcanic items available (wolver tail, parrying blade, fiery bomb head--unpurchasable i know, etc) that raises the value of those accessories.
Lastly, the toasty maedate, maybe it was heavy, is closer to matching the classical volcanic color.
tl;dr
Volcanic Maedate gets a boost in price for being named volcanic, but otherwise is a bastard color and not worth all that much. Its not even the best Maedate color match to volcanic armors/helms if you are going with a volcanic theme. 100-200k tops. This mirrors my reasoning for the Volcanic Mohawk not being worth but a fraction of what that one in the Auction House happened to got purchased at.

I know what you mean. I was not a fan of Maedates for a long, long time. But after making costumes with wide vee, halos, and toupees, i took it as a personal challenge to myself to make a couple costumes using them that i really liked. Which I accomplished. (the same thing with barrel bellies. I found them worthless, but then i took it upon myself to put them in play as well, ironically on my maedate costumes. And i love my costumes with maedate+barrel belly. I look forward to making a third).

I actually sold one for 150,000cr but it was bids only no b/o on AH. I think I was very lucky. And if my memory serves me well I remember someone saying in trade chat they had c/o 2,200ce. Now he could be lying to get a high offer but if he was telling the truth he must have sold it coz I only seen him post several times then stopped. I was monitoring trade all day that day.
Still its a UV I would never be interested and 1-2kce seems decent.
In all honesty I wasnt sure so thanks for coming in.

I just told you that I've been getting offers over 60k CE for Green Leafy...I'll be more specific. I've gotten offers of 60k CE, 65k CE, and 65k CE for Green Leafy auras over the past month, to which I've told people that I don't have one or know who has one for sale. Those were just first offers, I imagine if I did have one it would have been VERY easy to increase those offers to over 70k CE. I've also seen multiple hacked auras sell for around 55k CE lately...
Green Leafy was released before Hacked, and the Hunter promo was less popular which led to less Leafys being around in the first place. Therefore Green Leafy = more rare than Hacked. That needs to be captured by telling the greater community that Green Leafy auras are more valuable than Hacked auras.
