We hope our Battle Sprites can have normal attacks. Can we? Can we?

I've come across several players that have some suggestions in improving how the battle sprites work and play out.so i would like to suggest that we retain the three skills of the battle sprites and add another thing that they can do.i hope the battle sprites can have normal attack.meaning that we can still control when they would use the three skills but they can also help us out in combat by attacking automatically with an attack of lower damage than the three special skills.it would be so much helpful this way and not to mention much more fun!

please change the "we" in the title in "I".
you can already kill pretty much everything that stands against you. we don't need more power. epecially not more power that has nothing to do with skill, is passive, and it's unneded. but I already said the last one, I just didn't have a 3rd.

To be honest, I would love for my pet to do something more passive while it sits on its fat rump for 40 seconds.
I thought that the pet doing something passive like that would be a lot nicer.

Actually, I was surprised when they didn't do that to begin with.

All I can say is this though, prepare yourself for the hoard of people who want this game to be three times harder with every enemy being Vanaduke with no water and all your weapons are cursed and poisoned.

Because this would technically make us more powerful, which much of this community shoots down the idea of things that would give us even the slightest of power because that makes the game easier.

Sprites were done this way on purpose.

If you want enemies to die slowly while you dance around with little effort, make an Ash of Agni :D

Thunder-The-Bright , read my post before you say stupid things. I said i've come across a lot of players that agree to this idea.that's why i wrote 'we'.i don't know how to make it any simpler.use a dictionary.

Juances, i don't mean passive skills.I just hope that the sprites can do something while not using their skills.the normal attack should do very little damage to keep things from being easy. :)

The last thing I need is another bumbling, uncontrollable jerk on my team breaking freeze and drawing aggro at random.

Sigh

Sprites were designed not to have an auto attack on purpose. One of the recurring discussion points in the Pre-sprite pet threads was that pets could not have auto attacks, or you could defeat enemies by doing no work - just running in circles. The compromise OOO made on this front was the first ability - all sprites have an an ability that does direct damage. But really, sprites are designed as support, not for direct damage. The last thing we need is more dps.

Battle Sprites are Knight

Battle Sprites are Knight Abilities in a nutshell, not pets.

Oh really? And I'm about to show you an 'effing crapwall of players who disagree.

I only searched through 5% of all pet threads that have ever been made to find these, and that's after I cut out the ones that didn't have much discussion (just had a lot of "use the search bar"s and "No pets")

personally i have enough issues with the IQ of most of my groups i don't need AI to make things worse
-Madadder

If you want AI allies a better idea would be more kinds of Mecha Knights.
-Sacrontine

The only people I notice who try this thread are T1/T2 fodder who want the game to be easier without any skill. They usually use armor without defense against whatever they are fighting and whine when it kills them because they forget they have a shield
-Luguiru

This is what all 'pet haters' hate. They don't want pets that actually DO anything.
Something to look pretty, fine.
But something that can fight/do stuff OTHER than just look pretty, no.

-Psychodestroyer

If we get pets, then how much longer do you think before this terns into maple story? ._.
-Waffleconecake

Given how hard it would be to work into the game, would it really hold any function? Is it really needed? The awesome value is vaguely there, but then its already been done a billion times before... perhaps you should play Pokemon?
-Fehzor

We really dont need that battle for us the game is already easy and honestly a battling pet would be the same as a mechaknight ally (or knight ally) just messing up the battle. AI for allies here isnt a lot reliable just look at those NPC that sometimes get stuck by walking.
Whats the point to be a knight if we going to let our pets kill everything? we should be called Spiral trainers then

-Sweet-Hope

I have no desire for pets, since they would take a while to program to actually DO ANYTHING INTELLIGENT (aka not trying to kill Grimalkins and so forth).
-Aureate

The only decent pet suggestion threads in the history of the forums are here and here.

i don't mean the sprites to be so powerful to the point that we can win without doing any work.that would be stupid.i was thinking they can become more like mecha knights.they deal really REALLY low damage.but the main function is for crowd control.that's all.but this is just a suggestion.maybe not a good one. so I ask you, Hexzyle, to be polite.you can still give feedback without being a moronic jerk like you are now.thank you.

Did you read any of the forumer's comments in my last post? The problem isn't just the damage, it's the fact that an automated attack draws unneeded aggro, breaks freeze, and generally just messes up combat by killing monsters summoning extra waves. Automated AI can't tell the difference between the front shield of a Trojan and a Love Puppy.

but the main function is for crowd control

How is it supposed to be "crowd control" when it does really low damage? If you mean having the sprites as a "dummy" for enemies to attack, this becomes overpowered (because you can disable enemies by feeding your pet to them)
And if your pet has limited health, then they'd always be dying when you don't want them to. As mentioned beforehand, AI is dumb.
