((OOC)) Brushing off the cold.

((Guys its not Daud or a Warden. Its just a simple Shadow Guardian. Alright going to just use this as my Post for the 'mishap'.))

Getting up from the second blast the Shadow Guardian gave a slight chuckle as he placed his weapon in it's sheath. Of course having his kinda armor made him resistant to the energies that just hit him. However the punch they held still did some damage leaving him some what shaken but other wise okay. Looking at Desna he shrugged. "The order was to assassinate the target, unless orders change I am more or less at a stale mate." He then turned and looked at the Phantom creature. "He does not understand what my class can do, that was clear when he hit me. So, Orders?"

Daud had been keeping the channel open all the while the events were going on. Even as he placed his weapon away and pulled out his Shield and Leviathan Blade. From what I heard the Phantom creature is back, but this quickly. He must still be suffering from his wounds. Swarm can not heal in seconds. As he moved stood their his shields light changed from blue to Red. Even if that was the case. He got himself in a fight with the wrong person. A shadow creature fighting a Shadow Guardian is a bad match for the creature. But what concerns me is Desna, she does not have any thing to protect her from those kinda energies...

Battling the fiend

Desna took a cautious step back. This creature was unlike anything she'd ever encountered. Unsure of what to do, she replied, "Uh...we need to retreat. Follow!" She beckoned to the guardian and raced towards an abandoned building (yes, the same one with Claire in it).

((OOC: She still doesn't see any good reason to fight Antasma, and since he's being aggressive, her best option is to retreat. Troloe, Antasma needs to recognize when he's won. A smart villain won't antagonize powerful opponents (like Desna) when he doesn't have to. He should have gotten a clear message that Desna doesn't want to fight him. She's not about to risk her life fighting for someone who was once part of the Swarm.

But if Antasma insists on fighting Desna, he's gonna get his butt kicked. HARD. She is the commander of the Recon Rangers, after all.))

Return to Sender

Jumping back the Shadow Guardian seemed to just melt into the shadows, of course this was only long enough for him to start moving in the direction he was ordered. As much as it pained the trained man to leave a target behind, his orders were given and thus was left with no choice. Over an open channel the man spoke to Daud and Desna. "The Target has gotten away. A wound was inflected to the right side of the neck missing the Spin. The incision was clean and shallow leaving behind no traces of the blade. However after further study of the target and enlighten meant of what hte phantom like creature said, he is a brother and we should look into rescuing him." Once the Guardian reached the abandoned building he walked from the shadows as he gave a small hiss. Not really meaning to but it happened, almost as if response to entering the light.

Daud sighed as he heard the news. "Keep alert and follow the orders of the Recon Caption." I need to learn her name. More then sure she knows mine, at least the name every one calls me... Getting to the front door once more Daud stopped as hes eyes wided as he saw what looked like an invation force being summoned right in front of them. Grand, the one time I would kill to have the Tac. force here is the one time everything seems to fall appart.

My mind exploded when she said I was cute.

"Y-You think I-I'm cute? I er, but, I... I think your gorgeous." A slight smile, one that was truly genuine, slowly crept over my face. Stepping closer, I couldn't stop myself from peering deep into her eyes, closing the distance between us ever so quickly. In a sudden crash, I realized what I was doing, a memory more painful than my subsided headache, flashing over me.

"Yes, I would be happy to!"

...

"You're amazing, and I love you... too."

...

"Wha-What? I-I'm sorry, but-!"

...

"I said I was sorry."

...

"What did I do wrong?"

My smile vanished and I halted, taking a step back. Heaving a deep breath, I tried to concentrate; she had probably just said that because her brain was still muddled. I swept my head away from her, my now emotionless mask covering my shameful face. Not after what happened, not ever.

"My friends? You must be talking about the other Knights, some of which you tried to kill." I gave the word an uneccesary vile and hate. Hesitating for a moment, I muttered, "I don't have any friends."

Joining her at the door, I continued to refused to look upon her.

Nevo watched as the three people ran off, completely ignoring him. Looks like nobody had noticed him for a while.
Wait a minute. Desna asked me if I wanted to come, so between that time, I've either been ignored, or... Nevo looked down at his arms again. no, I'm not invisible. Maybe they've just gotten caught up? Nevo trailed behind the three knights, after finally catching up. I'm sure they've got their reasons.

Cowards!

I see the guardian standing back up and it seemed he was going to attack me but, he didn't and started to run and it was the same with Desna. I said to myself "Wow, they are cowards as well". I look back at the ancient plate shield and see Lucario still stuck. I focus my attention on him and charge up a plasma bolt. I launched the bolt into the cut in his neck and said "Finally, curse is now destroyed, better tell the swarm". I laughed and told the leader "Leader, curse is destroyed, the swarm can now spawn through the world". The swarm leader said "Well done Antasma, we will start the spreading in a few days and try to corrupt as many knights you can for now". I told the leader "OK then, time to corrupt or kill knights". I start running towards the army that was starting to enter the building and said "I am back and let's defeat all knights in here but don't kill them". The army agreed to it and I said "Time to strike and let's hope they aren't cowards like Desna and the guardian were".

((It's really awkward for me to reply to your post, Nova-Fire. I admit I forgot that your character was with them, so I apologize. That said, the post you've given me doesn't leave me with a hook to make a story off of, and frankly, it's not the right place to tell me you got ignored. That's what we have the discussion thread for.))

((Dang, I also forgot Serah was there, too! Good grief...))

Desna, Nevo, Serah, and the Shadow Guardian reached the door of the abandoned building. Just as Desna was opening the door, it swung wide open, and she tumbled to the ground. Someone inside laughed aloud and exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! At least, I would be if you weren't so darn funny." She stifled another laugh as she helped Desna up.

Suddenly, Desna froze. After a few moments, she stammered, "B-b-but...h-how...how did you...who the heck are you!?" The woman tilted her head to the side. "I'm Cl- uh, nobody in particular, just a...well, nobody you've ever met before. We've never met before." Desna's eyes narrowed. "I'm pretty sure we have. What's your name?" The assassin shifted her feet, staring at the odd glimmer in her dusty leather boots as if it meant something. "Call me Averia," she muttered at length. There was an awkward pause. Then Desna nodded. "Okay. Thank you. Get inside, everyone."

Once inside, she set down her equipment and sat on the ground. Serah sat down next to Nevo and took a look at the wound in her chest; it was healing nicely. She gazed up at him and smiled a little. "At least we're alive, right?" she asked with a chuckle.

Bad News

The Guardian placed his finger on his ear as a small ring was heard. It was just loud enough for him to hear and some one right next to him if they were paying attention. At the same time Daud heard the message as well, and for what felt like just a hand full of seconds the two of them were some what frozen. As if they felt some one dancing over their graves. "He is coming...here?" They both said in unison. The Guardian looked at Desna and took a Knee beside her whispering to her ear. "Lord Skotino, he has stated his arrive here. ETA, one hour at the earliest."

Daud had grumbed as he watched the members of the Watch move around mostly backing off and retreating to a base they had made. Even taking the Transport they rode over on away from the base. Everything they did was to ensure an escape which was going to more or less be needed. Daud sighed as he knew what had to happen next. All those Knights inside either needed to disappear or find away to get underground.

"Sorry." He cringed, "I've got something for you." Holding up his pad, blocking the view from everyone else, he showed Desna who the stranger really is.

I wake up and look at myself and see a tail instead of my feet and said "Antasma killed me, I would have survived if Desna and that guardian never hurt me". I start flying through the world and see a bunch of swarm entity's spawning and I then see Antasma in the middle of the swarm army. I then start floating and see an abandoned building. I saw Desna and that guardian who slashed at me with the silent nightblade. I said in a ghostly voice "Guardian, why did you slash at my neck and Desna, why did you tackle me down?" I started to cry.

The Gaurdian turned and looked, his eyes saw nothing but yet he heard a voice of the man he was suppose to kill. "Nothing personal, only following orders..." Was his reply, as soulless as it sounded it was the truth thus it came to him the easiest. "Besides, if you were a Cursed being, death should not be a problem. If anything a Cursed creature is stronger when they do not have a Physical connection to the Physical world. Meaning if you wanted, you could posses some one and or manifest yourself using the energy from the world around you. Once you do that you could, in a since, 'revive' your self." The Guardian turned as he placed his finger on the side of his helm listening to the comm. device once more.

Find the hidden knights!

I told the void guardian to look for Desna and the people with her, we will be attacking this base unless something bad happens but that's not going to happen since Lucario is now dead! The void guardian left on the search for Desna and her ally's. We start to attack Desna's old base and I see a person still inside. We started to attack the person inside but he seemed anxious as if he was waiting on someone... Perfect, I can wait for the knights coming and kill them or corrupt them! I then got a message from the void guardian saying "Found Desna and others as well as a ghost..." I replied to the message "Tell me where they are and what are you talking about?" I got the message "The location is past the right side of the forest and I can see a ghost who seems to be crying". "I will send half the troops there and I will wait for the other knights with the other half of the troops and that ghost might be Lucario who had Strong self-curse, also wait until the troops come before you attack". The void guardian said "OK then, time to wait for 10 mins, Wha!" I said "What happened" The guardian replied "A blade flew by me and it seemed to look like a Gran Faust". "Wait, a Gran Faust?" The guardian replied "JUST SEND EVERYONE INCLUDING YOU BECAUSE THE GHOST HAS IT!" I said "I forgot about the blade" I told the army to rush towards Desna's location and I was going with them. I then said "Leave the knights for now and run towards our guardian's location!"

((OOC: The Gran Faust is rushing towards Lucario so he can defend himself until he revives if he can))

As Claire tumbled out the door, I leapt back, cloaking myself in alarm. I edged to the wall right next to the door, hidden by shadow. Cautiously, I prepared to aid Claire in whoever was attacking, but the voices that I heard were instantly familiar.

As the others walked in talking, I listened intently. A surge of suppressed anger rushed through me when Claire, or rather 'Averia', told Desna her name, why had she lied to me? I took a second to try and ignore it, but then I remembered that she may still be tipsy, or she didn't want them to know her name.

I missed a bit of what they were saying while I had been clouded with anger, but I could tell that Desna had her suspicions about Claire; I wouldn't blame her. Meanwhile, everyone who had stayed and fought, all swarmed into the building. I stepped up to Claire, uncloaking and confronting her. In a hushed voice, I demanded her to tell me what was going on.

"Why did you say your name was Averia? I know you're hiding something, and if you plan to hurt anyone in this room, I suggest you get out now." My anger wasn't truly aimed at her. It was hard to admit, but it bubbled up from my past, which I knew would remain unchanged; but the future I could change, and if Claire was playing me like a fool, I would ensure that that wouldn't come to pass.

Don't attack me or my Carnavon

I was still crying when I saw my Gran Faust came back to me and got an idea. I thought "I might be able to spawn a Carnavon but it will make me very weak but it's a risk I need to take". I was also visible to the other people when I was holding the Gran Faust. I was now telling the people NOT to attack the Carnavon that I was going to summon. I then said "Don't worry, the Carnavon is friendly like me and can someone get my dead body in the forest?" I started to summon the Carnavon and I see someone leaving the building. The Carnavon appeared and was looking at me and said to everyone in the building "Don't attack me, me and this ghost are the only remaining curse creatures left along with the Gran Faust". I then said "This is risky but if it works, I can be revived". I sensed some weird energy from a very long distance and said "This could be bad, I can sense Antasma's army coming here and there is a swarm creature outside!" The window breaks and there is a void version of the shadow guardian. Someone opens an iron door which me and the Carnavon enter before the Carnavon was killed. The door got closed and we where in a dark room which was unbreakable. We need to wait until my dead body comes into this room before I get the chance to revive.

When she stabilizes...

Claire gave Nitscu an angry look, but said nothing. She sat down next to him and watched the group in eerie silence.

"What should we do with the Swarm chasing us?" Desna asked the group. "That bloated floaty idiot looks like their ringleader." Serah piped up, "We could ambush them. They seem to be going after you specifically, commander, so you could lure them into the ambush."
"They'll probably sense that something is amiss."
"Not if you take a decent force with you. He already knows we're wounded anyways, so it's plausible to think you would leave us behind to heal. He'll only suspect something if you go alone, I think."
"Good thinking, Serah. If we use your proposal, then my squad would set up the ambush, while the rest of you come with me as the lure. How about it?"

Then Claire spoke up. "It's a terrible plan." All eyes fell on her. "How so?" Desna inquired.
Claire crossed her arms. "You're counting on human emotions and reaction times. But the Swarm is not human. Any advantage you gain from an ambush is mostly negated by their simple inability to be surprised. You take a greater risk splitting your troops into bait and net than you would attacking as one."

Desna wearily leaned on her sword. "Well then, got a better plan?" Claire nodded and replied, "Yes. Hit and run. They rely on battles of attrition, winning through superior numbers. We can negate that advantage by simply refusing to engage them that way."

THe Shadow Guardian kept listening to the communcations device. "Ma'am, Number 2 has something he wanted me to relay. He is currently keeping out of the battle at risk of ruining a plan he is not aware of. As it stands he is also trying to get ahold of Lord Skotino, but to no avail. As thing stand he is going to be walking into a battle field, but that's not a bad thing. He said we should contact him and at least let him know of the situation. Lord Skotino never leaves HQ with out his personal guard, in this case last we knew it was his Alpha troops so we are looking at aid in the high numbers. But again Skotino is still more then Forty minutes or less out from here." The Shadow Guardian looked at Desna and shruged, "Its a long shot but if we can get ahold of Skotino we can get him to use an Archron, The blade he always carries with him. But of course that does not hold a candle to the fact we would have reinforcements to back us up." The Shadow Guardian leaned back on the wall waiting for something else to come across the Comm. "Of course, the phantom creature should still be weak after his first fight. Could be why he thinks we are cowards and stupid. Clearly he does not understand planing."

Daud sighed as he kept moving, everything will be alright once Skotino gets here. That force he has with him is more then enough to push out this mess of creatures. Keeping his head down Daud was more content with keeping alive then he was at hearing the Comm. links between the Watch and Desna's troops. Even if Skotino gets here, will he be able to do something. Whats more is this looks like a wildly made attack, no reason they just wanted to d- His though was short lived as he realized how to brake down the force before him, but it would require the help of that cursed Knight they tried to kill.

I felt slight remorse as Claire glared at me, but attempted not to be unmindful of it, but it unforutnately continued to irritate me for quite awhile. I perked up, however, as she proposed her plan; it seemed like she had really gotten a good grasp back on to sanity, which allowed me to appreciate her true personality and clever mind, making it all the more painful knowibg that I had, in a way, insulted her. For a moment, I let my mind drift, so I could become ignorant to my current thoughts. It brought me to something I wish I didn't know about.

As everyone else discussed battle tactics, Claire's gaze drifted to Nitscu. For someone who knows me as the killer that I am, he's remarkably kind to me. Where do men like that come from? She realized that she'd been staring at him, and quickly averted her gaze. "What about Serris?" he asked suddenly. Her heart stopped at the name. Thankfully, Desna spared her the pain of having to talk about him. "You know, it's funny you should mention him. He's been strangely quiet. Where are his armies, his police, his defense forces? What is he up to? Is he just spying on us?"

Serah looked at Claire. "Do you suppose?..." Alvin followed her gaze and finished, "...Averia is the spy?" Claire seemed to be lost in thought, and didn't notice that she was mentioned. Desna marched up to her, finally getting Claire's attention. "Well, are you?" Claire just stared at her with a confused look in her eyes. Desna leaned forward, bringing her face mere inches from Claire's. "What happened to Commander Claire? Because I still can't get over the fact that you look just like her. Did Serris make her his spy?"

Claire stood up, seeming to tower over Desna. "Claire is dead, Commander Desna. Serris murdered her." Desna stepped back and stammered, "B-but then...wh-who are you?"

"I am Averia." She glanced at Nitscu. But to you, maybe I can still be Claire.

"And no, I'm not a spy. I'm just a lost, crazy druggie."

5/5 That was a magnificent post, very well composed!

I almost leapt up as she continued to deceive Desna, but then she looked at me. I instantly froze, and in her eyes, I saw... I remained silent, quickly glancing away. It took me a second to fully comprehend what she had just said. The implications stunned me. Hiding my face with my hood, I looked down solemnly, contemplating what I was sure must have been a misinterpretation.

Commander Claire... Claire had told Desna that she was Averia, but she had told me that her name was Claire. She was putting trust in me. For once, I neglected the drugged mind explanation, she was honestly trusting me to keep her secret, or so I assumed. But at the same time, what they were saying, did that mean that Claire was a spy for Serris? For a brief moment I could almost feel my headache once again tormenting me, but it was a faint ghost of a time gone by as I continued to ponder the situation.

There are several reasons as to why people would resort to drugs. Could it be that Serris did something to Claire, so painful that it took such a terrible drug to help her cope with it? Or was she merely a victim of narcotics? Sighing, I vowed to help Claire break her addiction, for when I saw her lose her mind, it broke my heart.

"Spy..." Nevo repeated, staying quite enough for only him to hear it. Yet again, it sounded right, but it didn't at the same time. "I'm just a lost, crazy druggie." Averia remarked. Both of us know that's not true, "Averia". I'm going to get down to the bottom of this. Nevo's eyes narrowed. One way, or another.

The Shadow Guardian looked behind him as he saw Daud enter the building rather discreetly. Since everyone was kinda wrapped up in two speaking Deadman was able to enter the room and not be notes. Looking around Daud saw the face of the woman who tired to kill him as well as the other knights. In his mind, a storm was brewing, rage seemed to over take him as he looked at the woman. However he knew his anger would not help anyone, but still if they could see his face it would have been very clear his current state of mind.

Gritting his teeth Daud reached over and started to type on a black pad trying to find the rest of the Watch who had gotten away in the confusion of the fight. The Shadow Guardian seemed to be in his own world meditating from the why he seemed to be motionless. That woman is here...I never forget a face, at least I try not to...Either way she is a threat but for right now I need to get ahold of Skotino to get us out of this mess. We need more bodies out here. Daud seemed to content himself as he tried to contact Skotino as well as some of the other Watch members who had fled while they were able to.

Serah & Nevo, conspiring?

Serah put a hand on Nevo's shoulder. Both of them believed something was amiss about that woman, and Serah wasn't about to let it walk away unnoticed. "I think we need to keep an eye on her," she whispered to Nevo. "If she's the same woman we met in the dungeons, then she's bad news, probably one of Serris's henchmen. She-" She stopped suddenly, because she spotted Averia looking at her. "Ahem! Maybe we should step outside for some fresh air?" she said a little louder.

Serris flipped over the desk. "WHERE THE **** IS MY **** FINDER!!??" he screamed. "GET ME THAT **** ******* *****'S *** RIGHT BACK IN HERE!!" His poor secretary cried in fear as she stumbled back to the wall. "AND HOW THE **** DID THAT ******* ***** DESNA FIND OUT!!??" Serris yelled. The secretary squeaked, "But the Operator-" Serris marched up to her face and screamed, "I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S *** **** ABOUT THE OPERATOR!! HE'S DEAD! DEAD!! DO YOU HEAR ME!? HE'S DEAD!! DEAD PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT BLAME AND ALL THAT ****!!"

He stopped screaming to catch his breath. Seeing his secretary stand there with scared tears in her eyes, he put his hand on her cheek and stroked it. "I'm sorry, my dear. It's been a hard day. Why don't you take the rest of the day off?" She nodded and hastily (but politely!) scrambled out of the office. Serris set the chair back up and slumped into it. Why me? Oh man, if I can't get this all fixed up, he's gonna have my head... He buried his head in his hands and sighed worriedly. After a few moments, he found himself staring at the telephone. He picked it up and called Spiral HQ.

"Hey Norman, I've got a few names for you to pick up..."

"That won't work. For all they know, she's a druggie, with swarm intel. And if I'm correct, all they want is swarm information. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to wait them out. We're going to go back inside, get chatty, and maybe if she slips up with the things she's saying, we bring down the hammer. And by hammer I don't mean a knife to her throat." Nevo said, quite blank. He didn't know he was this good of a strategist.

"No, Serah, I don't mean the swo-..." Nevo saw it two. Acting fast, Nevo grabbed Serah by the hand, ran through the door, and announced "It's here! We need to go!" Nobody had expected it so early as much as Nevo. He thought there was plenty of time.

Let's see if this works

The dead body was now in the iron room and I told the Carnavon to grab my dead body before I entered it. The Carnavon picked my dead body up and I realized that I might need to change my appearance because the old version had that cut on the neck. I start thinking what to change into. I thought about it and realized what would be perfect. I enter the Carnavon's body and now I had to wait for 5 minutes until I was revived. *5 Minutes Later* The Carnavon I was in, went straight into the new body which meant I was revived.

We start moving towards Desna's location going past the forest but I noticed Lucario's body was now gone and so was the Gran Faust. I started to panic a bit but no-one else can use that Gran Faust but I could still destroy it. The army wasn't moving fast because of the lumbers and we then made it out of the forest and noticed a building and see 2 knights. I said "We need to make sure they can't get away, lumbers, you need to catch up soon. We started to rush towards the building blocking the way's out and I told the void guardian that he could attack now.

The Shadow Guardian sat up as he pulled his blade from it's sheath, catching Daud by surprise. "What is the matter boy?" Deadman asked as he looked at the Guardian. But yet the man said nothing as he walked to one of the openings and peaked outside. Daud followed and did the same, but he was not quite able to hide as well as the Guardian was able to. Looking outside he saw a marching army moving closer and close, but at a snails pace. Getting up Daud went back to were the main group was and stopped to catch his breath, the day was starting to get to him, "We have...incoming hostels." He stood up and walked the rest of the way in and looked at the woman who calmed to be a Drug user, but he was not right on top of her, its Swarm contaminated creatures. From the looks of it they are going to wreck this place and Skotino's troops are still at least another half an hour away."

The Guardian appeared behind Daud, his actions masked in the same shadows he played in. "We should move, this group is in no condision to fight a force that big. My brothers and Sister have the Transport we came in ready to leave about thirty-five and a-half meters north of here. Unless you think you can survive in this state." He said then hid back behind Daud were he cloaked and went to the opening to keep a better watch.

Daud grumbed something under his breath then turned to Desna. "Ma'am we need to leave. It's not that I am apose to fighting, but it is the Swarm and judging from out currnet standings this fight would be a dead man's stand unless we held out for thirty or forty minutes." Daud place his hand on the hilt of the Silent Nightblade in preperation for anything that might happen to them. It was ins nerves mostly that made him do it, but something in the back of his mind kept saying, something is not right here.

We need to run or fight

I leave the room and say "I am back and from what I could hear, the swarm army is coming". We have 2 options here. We could run for it or fight back the army. If we run, we can avoid every swarm entity except Antasma. Antasma is just too fast to run away from and he could easily hit us. If we stay and fight, the swarm enemies can just tear us apart I noticed some of you are injured. "We need to plan quickly before it's too late!" I started to think about things and then said "If we kill Antasma, the army should fall but I am the only one who can actually damage him". I then said "If Antasma runs, the army should get weaker and this could result in a win-win for us.

"Remember, hit and run," Claire reminded them before she shot out the door. She ducked around a corner and ingested a pinch of warp dust. Now I am ready. She cloaked and raced into the crowd of Swarm. She weaved through their ranks until she reached Antasma, sliding up behind him and readying her Voltedge to stab him.

(OOC: permission to stab Antasma? He can recover, being a Void form, but it'll take him out of the fight for a while. She will remain cloaked from sight, smell, and sound until she actually performs the attack.)

Stupid assassins

We start to slowly spread apart since the Lumbers where slow. As I was just about to run, someone hits me in the back which knocked me back behind the Lumbers. I look to see who attacked me and it seemed to be an assassin and I said to the Lumbers "Protect me, form in a circle so that assassin can't sneak in". I then told the rest of the army "Go to the base, don't let anyone else out, me and the Lumbers will deal with the assassin". I yelled at the assassin "YOU SHOULD NEVER RUN AT AN ARMY ON YOUR OWN ESPECIALLY IF IT'S SWARM!!!" I charge up a plasma bolt but it got interrupted and I said "Stupid shock".

((OOC 2: Since Antasma is now vulnerable, Lucario could help the assassin))

Playing in the Dark side of the Light

The Shadow Guardian had made his way outside already making his way to aid the woman who had bolted from the room. But his aproch was going to take him the long way around the enemy. Since he was quicker on his feet the sound he made was heavy, thankfully these enemies seemed to be mindless and followed orders blindly of what ever was going on around them.

Daud looked at Desna, "To arms it is then..." He said as he pulled his blade and shield from his back. "If this is where we fight, let us make it a good fight then." He said as he walked towards the door placing his hand on the door. "Shall we?"

Claire stabbed Antasma in the back with her Voltedge. Almost immediately, the surrounding Swarm began to attack her. She ducked under a lazy swing from a Void Thwacker and jumped onto his head. She leaped from head to head to the edge of the group, leaped off, and wrapped herself in the darkness. She hid behind a rock to catch her breath. Well! That went well. She switched on her Callahan and darted out from behind the rock. Two shots rang out in quick succession, and two headless zombies bit the dust. She cloaked again and raced to take cover elsewhere as the Swarm stupidly flowed to her previous spot.

Desna grinned at Daud. "Yes. Yes we shall." She twirled her Divine Avenger and marched out the door. Once everyone was outside, she barked, "You heard the woman; we hit and run. Do as I do!" She cloaked and maneuvered to flank the approaching Swarm. They jogged into a nearby junkyard and took cover behind a convenient wall of scrap. She whispered over the comm, "Guns out." A few quiet clicks later, she gave the signal to fire.

Then Death rained down upon their hapless foes.

Change of Plans

I said "ATTACK ANYONE YOU SEE!!! DON'T KILL THEM BUT MAKE THEM WEAK ENOUGH SO THEY CAN'T MOVE!!!" After I issued the attack plan, the lumbers started to move towards the rock where 2 void zombies died. The void gels and wolvers started to chase the guardian who started to run (Not the void version). The void zombies and Thwackers started to attack everyone still inside but I then see a creature that I never seen before holding a Gran Faust... I tried to run but the shock prevented me and before I knew it, Lucario was in front of me and slashed at me knocking me on top of a giant tree. (I lost 999HP during that hit).

Time to damage the swarm

I jumped out of a window before any main plans where decided and I started to run towards Antasma. I slashed any void entity's in the road and reached Antasma. I slashed at him and it knocked him on top of a tree which I wasn't able to reach yet. I thought "Might as well kill more void entity's until he comes down. Before I could move, a guardian tackled me into the tree Antasma was on. I look at the guardian carefully and see it was corrupted. Before he could slash at me, I managed to wriggle out of the void's grasp and hit him in the back but it didn't seem to do much. The guardian said "I am 1 of the few void entity's immune to curse and very resistant to shadow. I then look at my palms and see a purple aura glowing around them.

((OOC: So now it is me versus the Void shadow guardian and @Thin: I decided to have energy bolt and an aura to sense hidden enemies which he can use to see if people are injured or not.))

The Shadow Guardian moved like a blur as he used cloak and Dagger tactics, using the woman's attacks as a diversion. Uncloaking to remove the head of the enemy close to him only to cloak once more. Each attack he made landed right on target, of course he was trained for these kinda things back in the Watch's HQ. However the down side to using these kinda attacks were when he needed to quickly disappear since it did drain the energy for the cloak. As he made his last move the Guardian moved to where he saw tracks in the ground end up appearing beside the sound of breathing. Hoping it was the Friendly woman who was attacking he spoke, "How is the hunt?"

Daud looked at the enemies before him. Since he could not cloak like the rest of them with out aid he walked forwards, holding his shield up. Each hit from the enemy being deflected and met with a counter to the tourso. The zombies seemed to fall the easiest in his slow walk to were the Lumbers were. I hate this, I hate them all. They will fall before my blade. As he thought that Daud's Rage seemed to grow more visible as his attacks became more violent, spending more time on a already dead foe before moving to new foes. In his rage Daud was attacked by a Thwacker managed to hit Daud in the back, this served to only anger the Warden as he was knocked to his knee for a second. Being cough off guard made the attack have more impact then it would have normally did. Getting up and turning to the attacking creature Daud slashed as the creature dodged and started a counter attack. Turning the Thwackers 'charge' Daud rushed up close into it's face and started to beat it with his Shield, giving no mercy as he waled on it as hard as he could. "You belong back in the Shadow Lair not here." He said as he slammed his blade into the ground and grabbed the Thwacker by the neck. "Now die..." He said as he slammed the neck of the Thwacker into the Sharp edge of the blade, when it was over he tossed the body aside and pulled his weapon out of the ground. His now bloody blade seemed to have a small glee in the crimson glow. Unseen he was smiling and grumbling about something.

"How is the hunt?" the Shadow Guardian asked. Claire uncloaked and slurred, "Hunt...ffffunnn. Run, runnnnn...oh, and hit. Can't forget that. Ha." She unloaded her Callahan into a pair of Void wolvers and recloaked. Suddenly remembering that she hadn't seen Nitscu anywhere in the battle, she pulled back behind cover and looked around for him. I hope he's okay...

The others all fled the small building as enemies quickly swarmed in, intent on clearing the area of life. Cursing myself for not being quick enough, despite knowing it was my norm to hang around at the back, I could do nothing but attempt to get out. Cloaking, I began to back up against a wall when a Wolver, corrupt with void, emerged from the ground abruptly.

Surprised, I unintentionally revealed myself, drawing even more attention. How had the Wolver seen me? I thought aggravated. Whipping out my Combuster, I slashed it aside; no time to think, I had to get out. Pulling out my Glacius, I channeled the energy from the area around me into the Combuster, a burst of lashing flames surrounding it. I charged at the wall, proceeding to draw all the energy from my Glacius into my Combuster, causing the air vapors around it to sublimate, an icy mist wafting around it.

Leaping at the wall, I whipped the two blades at it with tremendous force. In a burst of debris, I broke through, swerving around to confront my foes. Another Wolver appeared, its ravenous jaws in a desperate urge to sink themselves deep within me. Jumping up, I brought down the swords on its head, and without wasting my momentum, I pushed off the dead creature and landed on a Lumber, driving my scorching Combuster through its head with ease.

Wrenching my sword out, I took a brief moment to evaluate my situation. I could see a few others fighting, but the person my eyes were searching for was no where to be seen. Pushing off, I resumed my hiding in shadow. It was then that I realized why the Wolver had detected me, I was only hidden to sight, any sounds I made and even my scent were exposed, no doubt to a Wolver's heightened senses. Grunting in irritation, I dashed off in search of Claire.

Bombing-Run

Time for a strangely familiar thingum ma-bob!

Nevo being Nevo left Serah and ran into the battle. The wound in his chest was miraculously healed, and Nevo had no idea how, or why. Clearing that thought from his head, he jumped, landed on a void wolver's head, and bounced off, sending him soaring into the air. While in midair, Nevo charged his remaining haze bomb ((I didn't forget it!)) and lobbed it into the crowd, freezing most of the void troops caught in it's blast. Landing rather inelegantly and noisily, Nevo started to punch one of the frozen void lumbers. The ice shattered, and with that, the lumber did, two. Nevo repeated these steps rather quick with ten others, but then the ice started to thaw. In a matter of seconds, all of the void creatures that Nevo had imprisoned in ice, had broke free and had trapped him.

Nevo slowly pulled out his Barberous thorn blade, but he knew he wasn't going to be able to fight his way out of this one.

Meh, mind as well.

A rush of chilling wind swept past me, drawing my attention to one of the escapees, whom I suddenly remembered as the one I assisted in saving. He was bold, very bold... too bold. As the Swarm closed in on him, I couldn't help snickering, how many times did I have to save him? Planting both my blades into the ground a metre apart, I outstretched my hands, and in the blink of an eye, a flash of energy swirled around the swords, Nevo now standing in between them.

Before I could react, a blow from behind sent me flying across the ground, pushing myself up, I tried not to imagine what that would have felt like if my Voltedge wasn't on my back. A thought trickled into my mind as I reached over my shoulder and spun out my Voltedge; Never compromise your own safety. I had gotten knocked a fair distance away, and I felt winded. A Thwacker lurched his hammer in a horizontal slash at me, void trailing in its wake. Leaping up, I flipped and swung my Voltedge in the same direction as his swing, the extra force launching it from his hands and into an unfortunate Wolver.

I whipped my Voltedge to the right, recovering my stance as the Thwacker was sent flying. In my peripherals I could see that I was beginning to get surrounded. Glancing at the ground, I began to furiously rub my feet over the grass, brushing the tip of the Voltedge across the ground frantically. As the Lumber brought down its arm, and the Wolvers raked their claws, I slammed the blade into the ground, and with a 'little encouragement' from me, a cacophony of electrical sparks burst out from the blade, dancing from creature to creature. Without waiting, I tore my Voltedge from the ground, and while the enemies were twitching uncontrollably, I spun my Voltedge around, and thrust out, a force field of electromagnetism punching a hole through the wall of swarm attackers.

Now, where were my Combuster and Glacius?

Nevo was suddenly outside of the circle of void creatures, with two swords around him. Picking them up, Nevo scanned the area for their owner.
I can't see anyone... I'll use them for the time being. Charging them both up, he charged into the void creatures, with considerably more power than last time.

BATTLE PART 2

CUE BATTLE MUSIC!

1st person mode
I see Lucario doing something weird and he launched what looked like a bolt of energy. It did some heavy damage to me even with my shield up. (-53HP to void shadow guardian).

3rd person mode

Lucario jumped over the void shadow guard and stuck the Gran Faust into his back. (-2HP to void shadow guardian)
The Void guardian turned around and slashed at Lucario (-31HP to Lucario)
Lucario charged up energy bolt and kept charging it
The void guardian charged at Lucario but he missed
Lucario got a giant energy bolt of energy he charged up and it then hit the void guardians back (-1000HP to void guardian)
Antasma woke up and said "Void guardian, I am going to help you to defeat Lucario".
Antasma jumped down and launched a plasma bolt straight at Lucario knocking him down (-13HP to Lucario)
Lucario rolled out of the road and slashed at Antasma who run away with his barrier up (-999HP to Antasma) (Antasma left the battle)
The void guardian slashed at Lucario again (Critical hit -103HP)
Lucario starts to lose some movement and looks like he is going down but the purple aura now went around him
Lucario launched another fully charged energy bolt at the void guardian's back (-1750HP to void guardian)
The void guardian realized the more damage Lucario takes, the more damage he deals.
The void guardian charged his void striker and just hit Lucario (-12HP to Lucario)
Lucario could sense the guardian was still strong and that he would need reinforcements.

Lucario started to run but the void guardian was straight behind them.

They left the forest.

End of Battle

((OOC: The void guardian has 10000HP whereas Lucario has 180HP))

Standing on the Transport watching what looked like a battle going on, Skotino could only count the possibility that someone was attacking the Recon base. Looking to his left he saw a Class Three Transport ((The lower the number the Higher the Security)) holding fifteen knights of each class, the same was to his right. Behind him stood seven shadow Guardians as well as the Pilot for the vessel. As the ships moved closer and closer it became more evident reinforcements had arrived but it was small so it was not major reinforcements just a smile security detail. Holding up his left hand Skotino's Gunslingers pulled up what looked like Ranged Rifles. Looking at the battle field the man with Dread Skelly gear lowered his arm, and with it bullets rang out across the gap between them and the voided creatures. Since they were still a good distance off the bullets did not all hit their mark. However the reason for doing it was to let the fighters know there was not a third party entering the fight.

Reaching down Skotino placed his hand on his Archron blade, wordlessly he looked back at the battle field. A shogun of war the man seemed rather calm and collected for going into a battle blindly.

As Daud disposed of another body he was forced to take cover from array of wild bullets that seemed to come from nowhere, of course he was still head strong into battle thankful no one was getting in his way. Once the wave of shots ended Daud pulled out his Silent Nightblade and went to work as he placed his Shield and main weapon on his back. which was now a good idea because of how quickly the enemy were trying to exploit his blind spots. For mindless creatures, they sure do know how to use advantages. He though as he reached forwards with his fist, slamming it into the skull of a Void Wolver. Pulling his hand back Daud felt something hit his Shield, but thanks to the way it worked the Shield left a small energy filed around his back. Any day now Skotino, it would be nice if you landed. I know your still ten minutes out but more cover fire would be nice.

LEADER, WE NEED HELP!!!

I start rushing out of the forest with very little HP and my barrier up and see the swarm entity's being killed everywhere. I then see Lucario running out of the forest with the void guardian right behind him. I started to communicate with the unknown passage leader and said "We are losing, I never expected the army being so strong". The leader replied "I will teleport everyone in the unknown passage to the battlefield and make sure you don't die until we get there. It will take me 10 minutes to teleport the entire swarm, just try to survive". I said "OK, I will try to survive but, please come quickly, the army is losing badly". The swarm leader said "We will be there ASAP".

With the battle coming to a close, Claire sheathed her gunblade and watched the Swarm retreat. The bat-man and the cute guy were still dishing out punishment on the Swarm with their weapons swapped. She closed her eyes and let her mind settle back into sanity before approaching them. She casually batted away the few remaining Void forms and hauled both men out of the battle by their collars. "The battle's over, guys," she chided with a wide smile. She playfully slapped the cute guy on the cheek. "Don't get lost next time."

She began to walk towards Haven, but then she stopped and glanced back at them. "Say, I never caught your names."

Daud kept fighting on, even long past the already dead enemies. It was partly because of his rage, but mostly do to the fact he kept most of his anger and other emotions bottled up. However in battle he could just let go and use everything to fuel his rage to the point he was becoming a Berserker. Having lost his common since just attacking anything that remotely seemed to be moving. Even his own ally, the Shadow Guardian, backed off and some what hid even under cloak. Letting out a war cry Daud looked around as he saw red, the world was melting into a black and white tent making him see the world asque.

The Shadow Guardian sat behind a building as he pulled his helm off and pulled out what looked like a pipe and started to drag from it. "He is going crazy again." Seeming to just shrug it off as if it was nothing to be concerned about.
