Game of Death (roleplay story thread)

Once the Warden was sure his arm was clear he looked around the room and saw the man get downed. Of course this was something he should have seen and attended to before his own wound. Getting up he walked over and turned to fallen man over getting him on his back. Looking at the blood trail he sighed and pulled the small shield from the down Soldiers back and placed it under the wounded leg to get it above his heart as to make sure the bleeding would be slown and or limited. Looking back at the man then back at the wound he shook his head. "Anyone around here have some cloth to make a bandage for this one?" Dead said as he pointed to whom he was attending.
((OoC: Yes Dewca that was aimed right at your last past and sorry every one for jumping the gun :/ ))

Nevo was well aware that the other "contestants" had left their cells. He sighed, and got up from his rather relaxed state on his bed. "Lets just get this over with..." Nevo muttered, and walked towards the two closed doors. Stabbing his proto sword into the middle, he used it as a lever, and pulled as hard as he could. The door opened a little, just enough for him to get through. Quickly yanking his sword out, he leaped through the door. The door slammed shut behind him, making him move a little bit forward. Nevo's foot accidentally hit the first trapdoor, and it swung right open, causing him to lose balance and stumble a bit. Shaking his head, he continued to maneuver around the trapdoors. The next room was just there, infront of him.
He didn't notice the gas.

((43 post in Discussion(read all of them :P) and only 4 posts here? No one has interacted with everyone else's characters except for me, so I really have no more hooks and no real energy to post for some time until something interesting does happen...sorry...))

Nevo's eyes shot open. He couldn't see much. Everything was blurry, and his head was ringing. Nevo felt around for his proto weapons. In their place, he felt something more... comfortable. To his delight, his hand was gripping a flourish, one of his favourite weapons. Well he thought it was, anyway. He couldn't really see it all that well. Nevo slowly walked past the dead trojans, wondering what had happened with the other knights. He saw a few blood splotches, but they were too... small... to be fatal. Nevo heard noises up ahead.
Good. Where there's noise, there's activity.
And where there is activity, there's life.

Seeing no one was going to help the poor body Deadman reached to cloth of his armor and ripped of a good line and started to stuff it into the wound. Taking a little more the started to tie it around the armor as to close it a little and hold the cloth inside. "I an't got any bandages but this will hold for a bit." he said then got up letting the downed Knight sleep.
Pulling out his Shield, the normally Blue Line turned Red as he walked up to the Door looking back into the room with the now dead Trojans. Seeing a knight wondering around inside he called out. "You best make your way in here Knight. I have a feeling the worse of that room has yet to show its self." Dead slowly backed up but still holding the shield out infront of him as to make sure if any attacks came from that direction they would hit is shield instead of the others.

A faint explosion outside shook the floor.
(OOC: remember, this is the Clockworks; levels are suspended in midair in the massive domes.)

For some reason, an explosion occurs and I fall back down and I struggle to get back up. After the explosion, I still sensed some swarm power but it seems to be getting stronger. Was that explosion connected to the swarm or a creature that has the swarm power. I then got up and looked back into the dark Trojan room but there doesn't seem to be a difference and the Trojan who attacked me before tried it again but he missed me.

Hearing the faint explosion set the Warden off to the fact something was not right. It then hit the man, they were some were in the clockworks. And from the sounds of things, either some one set of a level cracker bomb or their were alot more dangers inside then he was sure about. Soon enough the shock hit him making Deadman stumble as he moved away from the door. It was only a matter of time before this area fell below and he had no intinsions of finding out what a falling level looks like.
Getting to his feet the Warden placed his Shield on his back and ran away from the door, as he bolted he reached over and picked up the fallen Soldier he had just bandaged. Must move, that key...Oh man I am not going to like this but if that is the only way out then we have no choice. Dead though had he placed the Sleeping Knight on his shoulder. "Hope you ladies and Gentalmen are ready." He said, Dead's only warning as he went full speed after the Key. Once he had it Deadman looked around, the only way out was back from this room so he did what he had to made a Beeline for the only door he could see. "And this is were most my plains fail...Best hope their is an elevator."

A Voltedge suddenly swings at Deadman. It narrowly misses him, but it's enough to startle him into dropping the guy over his shoulder. The Voltedge appears again, this time aiming for his neck.
Meanwhile, a strong metal glove grabs Lucario and pulls him through a dark hole in the wall of the Trojan room. He tumbles through the ventilation shaft until he is dumped out into the artificial daylight of the dome. He falls for a few seconds and lands hard into a Spiral air speeder. A tough-looking female knight turns around in her seat and looks at him. A surprisingly soft voice echoes from the helmet, "You okay there man? You look sick."

Dropping the body he was holding Deadman moved back out of the path of the oncoming Sword. What the, A Voltedge. Thats a Five Star class weapon. Okay none of the people here have that so its some one else...best bet is to be on Guard. Pulling out his blade on his hip Deadman remembed that using his Standerd gear here would be a bad idea, however this foe had to know they were Fighting a Warden and more or less expecting him to pull out his Shield and Blade. But he had a better chance of holding off by surprise, a Broken Caliber was stupid but had a better chance of keeping him from getting electrocuted. Looking at the downed Knight for a split second Deadman kicked him in the chest, a well armored spot sending the Knight off agiced the wall. Turning back to his attack he spoke. "Who is my would be assassin?"

The assassin makes no response, other than a low (feminine?) growl. She mutters under her breath, "Just die already." She deftly slashes her sword at his waist. Her hand twists a little as if to follow it up with an upward strike.

Knowing his movements were resticted Deadman instead of trying to dodge rather started to fall back works. The sound of the blade hitting his armor was heard as well as Deadman as a small shock hit is body almost making him fall all the way. This sword won't work. I need to get ahold of my Blade and Shield. Dead though as he recovered and threw the broken blade at the person then jumped back as best he could. While in his jump he was able to free his Shortened blade ((Look up Spiral Wardens to see the blade I am talking about)), but could not pull his Shield. "Do you not have the tongue to speak? Or does the face you see clam your tongue?" He said in a simi-taunt. Don't taunt them...just contradicted my self. Okay, what am I looking at. After that look for an opening and attack. If not just retreat, there is no way I can handle this by my self in the state I am in. And I have the feeling this person knows that as well.

As I am walking through the Trojan room, I heard a crack of lighting from a voltage but before I could go back, the same Trojan came back and decided on a new technique. That Trojan charged his sword attack and just as he was about to charge at me with his slightly stronger sword, a strong glove which seems to be made of metal grabs me and sends me through a hidden hole in the wall. I started to tumble through the ventilation system which made me even weaker and then I saw some light and a drop. I fell for a few seconds and landed on my back on a weird looking thing. I struggle to even move now and I heard someone's chair spinning and I thought "I am going to die here, I know it". The mysterious person asked me if I was okay because I looked very sick. I tried to talk but my voice was really sore from the tumbling and my eyesight got even worse. I tried to stand up but I just collapsed again and the swarm energy was at max power meaning that the swarm entity was outside this place. As my eyes where closing for weakness I said quietly "who... are... you?" and then I run out of energy.

The assassin groans and swings wildly at Deadman, clearly getting desperate. She turns invisible, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out what she's up to - besides, her loud footfalls make it obvious that she's trying to get behind him. She lashes out with a wide overhead strike.
(OOC: @Creep: the woman didn't walk up to Lucario. You fell out of a shaft and into a stationary flying vehicle in the open air of the dome. The woman is seated, and she turned around in her seat to address you.)
"Who are you?" Lucario asks the woman. She replies, "I'm Desna. You can grovel at my feet later." She revs the engine and speeds out. No sooner do they left the platform than gunfire rips into their shield. "Hang on, this ride is gonna get bumpy!" She whips the craft around and fires at a gun turret planted on the wall, exploding it in a rainbow of fire. They dive to dodge a missile and crunch Lucario's butt when they come back up. "He heh, sorry 'bout that dude," Desna apologizes with a chuckle. They fly for a shielded hole in the dome and come out over Haven. They set down behind the city hall and carry out Lucario. "Dang, he's out cold. Better find him a bed, stat!"

Moaning, I pushed myself up, exhausted. I really overdid it. Taking a few seconds to regain my composure, I stand up, slightly dizzy. Looking around, it seems the other Knight's have made their way to the room as well. Klepto was still out, but a quick look reassured me that he wasn't dead. The sounds of metal clashing and grunts drew my attention across the gap, to where a heavily armored Knight was struggling against; wait. That looks exactly like the figure that had attempted to kill Klepto! A Knight laid near their feet, probably killed by that figure.
Putting my back against a wall, I observed them intently, noticing that the Knight that I had presumed dead was covered in bloody bandages, contradicting my original idea that they had died, or maybe they had, just not at the hands of that strange attacker. A glint catches my eye as I realize that the Knight defending himself has the golden key, so he maybe that's why he was being engaged... Suddenly, an unnerving thought strikes me. The attacker was wielding a Voltedge, similar to the gun-blade used by that gorgeous Knights who had appeared back in the chasm. I shake my head, there was no way they were related.
The attacker inexplicably vanishes for a second, startling me. They were more dangerous than I thought; I resolve to the fact that I had to do something. Taking a bit of time to calm myself and clear my mind, I once again held out my hands, and pointing them at the Knight with the key, I forced open a rip in space time, which consumes the Knight with a flash, and makes him reappear on our side of the room. I then proceed to create a strong field of energy covering one side of the room to the other, hoping that the others can figure out something, before the attacker reaches us. I highly doubt that I would hold them back, shield or no shield. Besides, I grimace, I was exerting myself too much, I needed some time to recover, otherwise I would be easy picking.

Letting the Sword hit his back, Deadman smiled. "Did you forget something?" He said as the would be Assassin would have seen his Shield have a Red Line Glowing. "That Shield keeps Knights from moving on. Your Blade hits yes, and it stings. But I refuse to die here." He yelled as he turned his body swing at the person mid-section. "Your worse then Skotino when it comes to Stealth gear, but their is one thing Stealth users forget. We can still hear you." Knowing his Blade would have not conected his goal was to knock the blade away and once it was he lowered his arm and charged at full speed aiming to shove his shoulder into his attackers chest, keeping his eyes open the while time. Got to buy time. This attack was stupid and reckless but it would make the attack either stealth and clear back. Or get out of his way letting him get to the other side off the room putting some distince between them.
Before Deadman could finish what he wanted to do he felt something no right with himself. With in the blink of an eye I am on the other side of the room seeing the field around them Dead sighed. "Alright, no what I was expecting." Looking to the source Deadman started to kneel. "Can you keep this field up?"

Not much for words, I nodded in reply to the Knight. I closed my eyes and focused hard, picturing exactly want I wanted to do. Weaving my hands, the energy wall became distinctly thicker, making it look like there was a warped pane of glass that spread from one side of the room to the other, starting from the edge of the gap. Or that's what I would imagine, because I had my eyes closed in concentration. I still doubted I could deter the attacker however, but any ranged attacks that they would try would be stopped.

"Keep your mind on your work. We are bugging out." Deadman said as he turned pulling his Shield from his back and placing it infront of him like the Trojan's Normally do. "We need to get out of here and now. We are running out of time, something is trying to get rid of this level. I believe we are in the Clockworks from the feel of the shock wave." The Warden said as he gripped his Shield. "And this person we are fighting is skilled. She managed to shock me quite a bit leaving me at least then my best, however I refuse to stop here."

I wait outside still trying to break in by using my Plasma bolt when I realized I could charge it up to deal more damage with it. I charged it up so much I lost some balance but it caused a minor explosion to the inside of it. I tried it so much but it wasn't doing much good and then I see a vehicle going through a shielded hole and I decided to slowly follow it. It stopped behind the city hall and then I see someone wearing Infernal Guardian Armor who seems to be knocked out was getting carried out by another knight. I look carefully and decided to I was going to kill the weakened knight if it was too weak or corrupt if it was strong enough but I realized the other knights would be coming out soon and it seemed to be heavily guarded and I then realized who that knight carried the knocked knight was. It was the famous Desna who has stopped so many disasters and that Divine Avenger is very powerful. From what I could tell, there are so many knights I could corrupt but Desna can easily stop me.

The assassin keels over and drops to the floor screaming. She isn't injured, so...what gives?
(OOC: I know you know, Topo, but don't tell 'em. :P)
__________
Meanwhile, Lucario wakes up in a prison hospital bed. From the looks of it, this is a top-security prison, complete with countermeasures against weavers. One has to wonder if they figured out that he was a member of the Swarm...

Looking at the man then back to the Assassin Deadman grimised. "Not good, that person was too strong to be hurt. Angry but not that angry due to the fact we are still here...." Dead said as he watched her actions. Could she be up to something? Either way we need to get back to Haven and post haste would be good. Turning on his heals Deadman grabbed the Knight who was keeping up the shield. "Keep your mind on your task we are moving." Placing his shield on his back Deadman picked up the Shield generating Knight and flung him over his shoulder. "We need to get that other Knight, he is still breathing and she has yet to see him...but right now we need to get out of this room." Running about with the Shield Generating Knight Deadman ran from one Door to Knight getting as many as he could that were still up. The rest he guessed they were beyond saving. Once he got enough Deadman left the room into the Trojan room. Looking at the now broken Trojans Deadmans ran over to them and started moving the dead bodies infront of the door blocking it. "That will give us some time. But we need an exit now."

The hole in wall blasts open, showering dust and light into the formerly dark room. A towering figure steps through the hole and shouts in a feminine voice, "Come on! You gotta get out of here before the authorities find you!" She grabs Deadman and literally throws him through the hole onto a flying vehicle hovering nearby. Several shorter figures dressed in similar attire grab the remaining players and help them onto the vehicle.
Now that you are all sitting on a large silver speeder, you can get a better look at your rescuers. They are wearing the uniforms of the Recon Rangers, and the pilot appears to be Desna herself. As the speeder pulls away, another dark figure leaps from the hole and lands at the back of the speeder just in the nick of time. It's the assassin! But she doesn't look to be in fighting shape, made worse by the handcuffs that the Recon Rangers back there are putting on her. She's still groaning and repeating a word that sounds like "dust."

Feeling something in his head snap Deadman let out an angry roar. "Why won't you just give up." He said walking back to the end of the ride they were on. With a quick flash of purple light Deadman's helm dissappeared so he could look apon the person whom plagued him. His normally stright face now holding the expression of an enraged demon. Slowly he walked to the Assassin. "Let me let you in on something. They call me Deadman, Warden of the Last Gate. Its my job to keep Knights from entering the Final area of the Shadow Lair as well as keep those leeches of the Swarm in their hole." Looking at the Assassin Deadman was getting pulled back by the Rangers, his Ghastly mid-langthed hair starting to move as the speeder moves on. However the Rangers were not able to completely hold him back as he yanked himself free of their grip and looked the Assassin in the face. "Remember this and remember it well. I have no qurel with you nor do I care to, but the actions you made to harm those knights and my self make me want to do nothing more then remove your problem from his world." He reached down and picked the woman, now that he could see her clearly, up and forced the some what incoherent woman to look into his eyes. "I will end your life, and add another tally to my name." He then tossed her back down, not caring how forceful he was being but not enough to do any real damage.
Turning back to his rescuer Deadman sighed, still slightly angry. "Well, why do I always get my self messed up with the Recon Units anyway." He grumbled then stood beside Desna. "Well going to tell me why the authorities would be looking for us?"

Thoroughly confused, I go along with the strange 'rescuers'. However, I cannot wrought my attention away from the assassin. Her screams and mumbling were definitely that of a female. But she couldn't have been the woman we had seen in the chasm, I wouldn't believe it. I decided that whatever happens now, I had no choice but to go with it. I knew I was taking a huge risk, but I let myself doze off, to awake wherever these Recon's would take us.

The woman looks into Deadman's face, but her face is contorted in unnatural pain. When he throws her back down, she breaks down and sobs, sometimes coughing, sputtering, and spitting-up. Desna looks at her with concern for a while before turning to reply to Deadman. "You're not supposed to be alive. None of you are. These 'games' were intended to trap unsuspecting knights and turn them into Serris's minions. He filters them through the games to find the strongest warriors, and...well, I'm not sure what he does after that. I'm told that someone called the 'Finder' is tasked with picking off the weaklings. Do you suppose?..." She glances at the assassin at the back of the speeder tilts her head in her direction.
Deadman's manhandling of the assassin caused her hood to fall off. She is clearly recognizable as the woman they all saw across the rope chasm earlier.

Deadman looked back at the Knights whom were now either in pain or out cold then at the Assassin. "Yes, I believe this to be truth. Yet I know not her reasoning I know one thing. She attacked us as we were trying to get out." Lifting his head as he remembered something Dead reached down and picked up the Key he had picked up. "Either way we have her in cuffs none the less. Skotino would be more then pleased to see this." Deadman spoke as if they knew Skotino, but he doubted anyone would know that man. "Still it would be best to remove any kinda weapons and or anything of the like." Crossing his arms Deadman looked at the Key with his free hand. "I need to get back to the Watch's HQ. It would be safe for us all since its out side of Haven, that is if we are truely to be dead. I know Sir. Skotino would more then gladly keep us safe under the Watch's halls." He then turn to Desna. "But of course no one knows the way to the Watch's halls but Skotino's commanders...Which I happen to be...So I know a safe place for all these Knights out side of the hands of the Order."

((OOC: UGH. So tired. Just ran two miles and had a shower. Luckily I don't have to write as much as I would have because my character is/was unconscious. I couldn't think of a way to that series of posts.))
As I fire my gun, I collapse.
I wake to darkness. It is completely quite, though it feels as if there are sounds around me. There's a shake, and a door opens in front of me, light shining brightly through. I walk through it, and walk into my house. My dad is reading up on the latest findings in the clockworks, and my mom is cooking dinner. They both are great explorer's of the clockworks, prepared for almost any situation. My dad mainly tries looking everywhere in the clockworks for new, unexplored areas, while my mom explores the behavior of the clockworks and the creatures living in it. It's nice and warm in the room, yet something seems... off. I ponder this for a moment and realize what it is. My parents are dead, killed by that sudden virus years ago. It came up unexpectedly. Yet their right here, so that means- I burst awake from my dream.
When I look around I see I'm in a... hovering ship? There are other people from the games in here, and other knights clad in yellow tinted armor bearing the crest of the recon rangers. What happened when I was out?
((OOC: Thin, if I can't get you my lore proposition thingy by tonight, I might need to do it tomorrow.))

The speeder hovers over Haven, but doesn't land anywhere near HQ. Instead, Desna lands it in the outskirts of Haven, in what the other Rangers describe as their "backup base," or as Desna put it, "anti-dictator insurance." They enter the building, and a young Recon Ranger named "Serah" leads them to the Arsenal. To everyone's surprise, all their weapons are present. "We got all your stuff back before coming for you. We figured you'd want it."
(OOC: @Dmatter: I don't remember you telling me about that, but I'm interested to hear your proposal.)

Nevo hadn't talked since he'd walked through that door to the other players. From Nevo's point of view, everything had gone to hell. Assassins, explosions, the list goes on. Nevo had major respect for that guy who took on the assassin.
Deadman, I think? Boy, that's an awfully dark name.
Now, he was stepping off a spiral speeder, and towards an arsenal station.
Is this it? Had someone found my gear?
To his delight, the answer was yes. Pushing infront of the other players, he grabbed his gear. His greaver armor glowed a bit at his touch. "Funny. I don't remember it glowing." Nevo said between breaths. "Does anyone know why? Did someone stick little lights in this?"

I wake up groggily, snapping awake once again, to quickly gather my new surroundings. I felt much better than previously, but I felt like I should still hold off on Weaving for a while. A bunch of Knights had gathered at an Arsenal, high level gear now glistening on their bodies and glinting dangerously in their hands. A smirk for a second then get off the strange vehicle without making a sound. Waiting until everyone else had retrieved their stuff, I went in to reunite myself with my much needed gear; replacing my proto armour and Calibur and Blaster that I didn't even recall being switched to. I once again let my emotion slip as a smile breaks over my face. It felt good to be back in familiar and dependable gear.
(OOC: Thin, I want to clear with you, if it's okay if my character owns all three elemental 5* Brandish variants. In my app I stated anyone of them, but taking into account my character usually dual worlds, I was wondering if that was acceptable, oh and I guess I also need the go ahead for dual wielding.)

Serah gingerly touched the greaver armor. "Is- is it supposed to- to glow?" She looked expectantly at Desna, who just shrugged and said, "I dunno. Swarm maybe?" Alvin, another ranger with a penchant for throwing troikas around, piped up. "Actually, I'm pretty certain that it's the Swarm. You know how a light seems dim in the presence of a brighter light? It's the reverse for shadows - a shadow seems brighter in the presence of a darker shadow. But since we're dealing with dark matter, it 'literalizes,' like this armor is doing." Failing to find a better explanation, the rest of the rangers nodded. "But then, that would mean there's a shadow being nearby," Desna noted.
They all looked at each other.
(edit: Antasma? Your turn. :P)
(OOC: @Hexlash: Your request is granted. Bear in mind, however, that I may not let Nitscu use the flats of his swords to deflect bullets in a combat situation, and explosions can't be stopped by swords at all. There's a good reason why the Spiral Order generally prohibits dual-wielding.)

I slowly follow Desna to a High security prison with that weakened knight but before they entered, I sensed that knocked out knight was part of the swarm but seemed to have strong self-curse. I realized "He's the weaker swarm agent". I see the vehicle flying back to the dome and look at the situation and it seemed to be similar to the dome's strong defense. As I am looking at Lucario figuring out a way in, the van comes back and I hid before I got detected. There seemed to be more knights leaving but Desna was there as well. I could also see an assassin and the other knights seemed to be getting their stuff back. I then see them talking and then they all look at Lucario. What to do...

I slowly wake up and I realize I am in a prison and I don't see anyone else here, not even that other knight who I forgot the name. I try to move but my injuries are still serious. To make matters worse, the swarm power I detected was reaching it's max meaning the swarm entity was outside this room. After a while the knight comes back with all the other knights which they all get their 5* stuff back. I hear talking and then they all look at me. I thought "did they realize I am part of the swarm? If they did, I am dead.).

Nevo, after hearing this, stepped forward. He wanted more answers than just the armor. He wanted to ask the questions.
But nothing smart came out. Instead he sort of squeaked. Dropping his armor and covering his mouth, he tried again. This time, he was able to say: "That was extremely embarrassing." Shaking his head,Nevo picked up his greaver armor and stepped back into the group

Deadman lifted an eyebrow as he was returned his stronger Gear the armor, shield, helm, and Sword he normally carried with him to his post deep into the Shadow Lair. It had a faint glow of purple like his idle Arkus but aside from that it held no thing special but a better durability and resistance then common Warden gear. As he placed it one Deadman was reminded of the pain in his back as he took a knee and held his back. "Damn, this is worse then the first day of basics." He grumbled as he pushed himself up an slowly sheathed a new Silence Nightedge on his hip in the event he needed to swing a quicker blade. Of course he always had this, it was the standered weapon anyone of the Watched had. On his back he placed a clean Warden's Shield and Leviathan Blade, both of which slid onto his back into place like they were meant to be their.
Standing up Deadman's helm came back, as it did a small display came infront of Deadmans eyes. Of course this was just a simple display that let him see the other Knights with communication divices as well as their handles or names that was linked. Sadly it was just a simple display so he only saw a dot and how far they were away, if they were more then twenty meters they did not have a dot. Turning to Desna Deadman spoke, "Well if it comes to thinks like Corruption I am sure you know one who is 'Corrupted' but sane by Dark Matter." Deadman rotated his arm around to make sure it was still working after he dislocated it. "We could go talk to him about matters of the Swarm and Dark Matter related things."
((OoC: Talking about Skotino, Desna would know that since she is in the Recon Rangers and one of the tops of the totem pole xD))

"What in....." The operator growls, and slams the keyboard. "God, how did you let them get away?" He shouts at a bunch minions, which quickly turns on a tablet.
"We found them! Back up base 1, Recon Rangers. Desna took them out of the arena" The operator blinks at that, then remembers her. Tough, beautiful.... He had a crush on her since 1st grade. But no matter. He would follow Serris' orders.
"Send 2 kilos of that powder thing, and 20 highly armed minions. Maybe another 20 Darkfang Thwackers, 12 Snipers, 6 Motarfires, 50 demos, and maybe 50 Wardens?" The operator laughed at that. "Let's see how you get out of that." As the minions leave, he sends a message to Desna's comm. "Join me.... and maybe you might live. A little heads up, lots of attackers. No way for you to fend them off. Give up now." After sending it, he flips a switch, and the arena turns off. Two Wardens come in, Operator's body guards.
"Now let's go have some fun." The operator grins, grabbing a Blitz Needle from a rack. "Yes, let's have some fun."

Eventually we reached the outskirts of haven, and the recon rangers second base. They lead us inside, and to an arsenal station, which had all our old stuff! I never had enough money to get expensive 5* gear, but getting 2 and 3* gear was fairly easy. To start off, I grabbed the basics: a great defender, solid cobalt helm and armor, ascended caliber, super blaster, and a super blast bomb. Looking around, I get mildly discouraged as I see that everyone (I believe...) else has 5* gear, but I feel like I'll be fine now that I'm in haven... right?
((OOC sorry, short post, I typed it out then accidently closed the tab, so I was unwilling to write as much :P. I was unsure what he should have, so I gave him the basics. Oh and thin: the proposal thingy was at post 305 on the discussion thread. I also mailed you already.))

((Top, have you forgotten about me? I need someone to lead me; you're trying to have 'fun' with Eve :P))

"Join me...and maybe you might live. A little heads up, lots of attackers. No way for you to fend them off. Give up now."
I know that voice... Desna opened a channel to him. "Whoa, is it really you? Dude, I haven't seen you in ages! How've you been?" Serah and Alvin glanced at each other and shrugged. They couldn't hear who the caller was, but he must have been an old friend.
The security alarm suddenly went off, so Desna added, "Look, I'd love to chat, but my security alarm just went off, so...oh, and thanks for the tip about the attackers. I'll be sure to wipe them out no sweat." She closed the channel. "All right guys, go find the source of the alarm. Report back here in ten minutes." The rangers saluted and darted off.
It didn't take long for someone to find the problem. Serah came back and reported that the storage had been invaded by a non-ranger and robbed of its warp dust. Warp dust?? Why would someone take our warp dust? Desna thought for a few moments, and eventually realized that the assassin had gone missing. C'mon Des, put two and two together...the assassin probably took the dust. But why!? The remaining rangers came back. Desna grabbed her weapons and declared, "We're going after them. Also, we're under attack, so keep an eye out." Now everyone was on high alert.
As they marched out of HQ, Serah fell out of step to join Nevo. "Hi! I'm Serah. What's your name?"

I looked carefully at the prison but I would be brutally killed by the wardens. As I walk back to think of another plan, I see someone running and they seem to be carrying some warp dust. I thought "Why does someone need so much warp dust?". I then went the opposite way the person was running from and saw a base which looked even more protected than the prison. I am now thinking "WHY IS A BASE MORE PROTECTED THAN A PRISON!?!". I look carefully and see Desna in the base with other knights who seemed to be stacked now. I go back to the prison and see so many wardens protecting Lucario's cell. They are under full protection because he is a part of the swarm...

I am slowly getting better and I am now able to look outside and I see a weird looking creature which seems to be after me. It then starts to run and I am still not able to really move much...
((OOC: I can't really do much by being in prison.))

Nevo had only listened to the end of the comm talk. He was a good listener, even more so once he had put on his armor.
"Give up now" He had heard that voice an hour ago. He wanted to be away from that.
And somehow, it made him very angry.
Not caring about his sudden embarrassment, he stormed away from the group, bringing every single bomb he could find, which was only 2. A nitrome, which he had experience using, and a shivermist buster, which he had none.
And then, he stood outside.
And waited.

(OOC: I clearly have a thing for Final Fantasy characters. Like Serah. :P)
Nevo didn't answer Serah. He seemed distant, lost in thought, even angry, and didn't seem to want to make friends with anyone at the moment. He broke off from the group and stormed away. Serah tried to call out to him, but all she could manage was a squeak.
Why do guys always ignore me? Am I really that bad? she thought ruefully. Her thoughts were interrupted by a startling bellow from Desna, "GET BACK IN LINE, SOLDIER!!" She obediently got back in step with the group.

Deadman watched the event unfold from the Recon Knight as well as the one whom seemed to be lost in anger and mind. Reminds me of when I was younger...If course I am only 28 but that does not mean I can't remember things....why did I just answer myself. Reguardless, I need to get a handle on Skotino... Looking around Deadman watched as the little Dot from the Female Knight's Comm. deviced faded away from the fact she was more then thirty meters away. Reaching up Deadman touched the side of his helm as he opened a link on a 'dead' channel. "This is Number 2. The Deadman is walking the morning sky."
Seeming to speak to no one the comm. deviced was dead before a small image popped up into the left hand corner of his simple HUD. It was a still frame image of the Watch's Guild Crest. "Welcome back Daud. We assumed the worst but Skotino told me to keep an ear on this channel."
"Very well, is Sight Zero still active if so I need a direct link to #1 as soon as possible. I have fear this group whom I am now to feel trust for will need a safe place out side of Havens walls for the time." Deadman stated aloud, not really caring that no one could hear who he was talking to.
The Radio was dead for a moment then the voice came back and seemed pleased. "Roger, we can seen some people out to pick you up shortly. Your Comm. link has been located and in rout. Out." The channel seemed to just die back to static from which Deadman was talking to.
Turning to the Knights left in the room Deadman smiled as he turned and walked in the direction of Desna. Once she was in sight he called aloud to her, "I have a safe place were we can hold out. They can have a transport here in a matter of minutes if your willing to let them stay with the Watch."

Desna stopped and glared at Deadman for a few moments, but then reason took over. "Okay. Anyone who wants to stay with the Darkwatch can hold position here with Deadman until their transport arrives. Anyone who wants to come and kick butt can come with me. Who's with me?" All the Recon Rangers, even Serah, agreed to go with Desna.
(OOC: All right, everyone put in your posts whether you're going with Desna or staying with the Darkwatch. Once the tallies have been collected, each group will set off as a party.)

I then see Lucario looking at me and I rushed back to the seemingly secure base and see Desna and another person who looks like a warden splitting into 2 groups. I noticed that all the better fighters would be going with Desna and I could easily corrupt the other knights but I am still being careful. Desna could easily spot me and then finish me off with no problem.

Deadman nodded to her. "I thank you. If anything we can keep them safe till we get more information on whats going on. Rushing into battle is your Units mission. Mine is to make sure Knights are safe and able to fight, and of course after you Recon come back attack. Not to be rude but I respect the Recon Unit. With out you all most of the Orders movements would have been blind." Deadman then reached up and touched the side of his helm. "Send the transport. Make sure we have Third level Security, we have wounded so a Medic would be ideal." Once Dead was done he turned to Desma and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Return to us, with good news."

Desna nodded. "Good news...can do. If it's bad news, I'll be sure to put a positive spin on it." She spun her Divine Avenger in her hand with a joking smile.
(OOC: no tallies so far.)

Nevo had completely ignored Serah. Not on purpose, but accidentally. He didn't actually feel right ignoring her. Because of that, all of his anger had suddenly washed away. Deciding after a moment, he cursed and went back inside. He knew that it wouldn't help, but she should at least know his damned name. Finally spotting her, he slowly made his way to her, trying to not be seen. He hadn't really made a good impression on anyone since he had been rescued. He'd squeaked, stormed out, and ignored the first person who had been nice to him.
Way to go, Nevo. You've got such a way with the ladies.
Nevo was right behind her.
"Uh. Sorry about before, I was kinda angry. Start over?" He said from behind. Nevo hoping he hadn't scared her.
((OOC: I can't implement Nevo saying "I'll come" But he's going.))
As the others run to the next room a trojan suddenly lashes out. I attempt to dodge it but it manages to slash my leg. I wince and quickly dash to the next room. As I reach the doorway of the room my leg screams out with agony. I turn full attention to it and realise that it's a 4 inch long cut. It's bleeding heavily so I just cover it with my trouser leg.
I scan my surroundings and see that there is a golden key on the other side of a 10 meter gap. I walk forward to the rest of the group leaving little trails of blood behind. As I reach the group I let out a little groan of pain and collapse to the ground. It's deeper than I thought... is my last thought when my head touches the ground and darkness grasps me.
