Sandwich, your a Moderator. But don't add anything or assume something like that unless I state it first alright?
Hour’s Till Midnight (Open RP "Taking Applications")
Sure. Currently working on my next post, hope to put it up in a few minutes.
Is Matthew's Commanding Officer a Moderator-Operated Knight? For future reference.
Current set of Commanding Officers.
Gate 1: Vanguard and Lt.: Riker. Class: Cobalt Knight.
Gate 2: Vanguard and Lt.: Yitz. Class: Guardian
Gate 3: Commander of the Darkwatch: Skotino. As well as Spiral Commanding Officer for the Mission, Warden Daud. Classes: Shadow Guardian and Warden.
Gate 4: Vanguard and Lt.: Azle. Class: Gunslinger.
Anyone going into the Shadow-Layer answers to Skotino, or Daud. Reguardless of Spiral or Merc. ties. This means when you get a order, it came from Skotino/Daud first since those two tend to flip-flop command at times of Skotino's moments of insanity.
Quick question, is Jurak human or gremlin?
You guys are fightin' and the rest of us can't hear your conversation, so you can imagine how it'll look to your men. (Who are on edge, and probably scared)If you and another knight start trading blows. Worse yet, due to miscommunication, Nappy yelled traitor, miiiight cause a panic if not contained and controlled
Name: Pyromar

Bio: Pyromar was an odd gremlin, he wasn't like the others who wanted to protect Emberlight and most of the time, people never see him. When they do see Pyromar, he is often making potions or his potions blew up resulting in an explosion.
After a long time, Pyromar has created tons of potions and tries to help knights by throwing potions at enemies. However, he was also smart enough to activate lifts even though he wasn't as good at it compared to Alchemy.
Even though he was a scorcher, his fuel pack slowed him down so much, it was impossible to craft potions and open lifts. Pyromar removed the fuel pack and could do the tasks he does now.
Personality: Smart, loves preparing potions to throw at opponents, is extremely annoyed when new potions he tries explodes in his face and is bold when talking to other Alchemist or researchers.

Creeper's Status: Declined
Reason: Thank you for the interest in the Gremlin Engineer. But you missed the point of being an Engine. Engine's are non-Combat classes. This means the weapon you get is weak and you have to relie on others to protect you. Being a Scorcher defeats the purpes of this set of rules. Yes I am away you are trained in battle, but that training is how to avoid it not how to fight.
Spirals' Status: Declined
Reason: The Bio is too...Lack luster. I feel like this was just thrown together to make an app. On that note, anyone who had his kind of injurys would be declined and left off the list to be reqruted back into the army. Sorry but I must take up the mind of some one in the recruiter's office, he would not be fit for duty of any kind in a military role.
Creeper, the status remains unchanged.
Potions are not a non-battle class. Also it states nowhere that I have read this can happen. Yes there re vials that give debuffs but thats a game thing not lore. Still no.
Gwen is an alchemist. What do alchemists do except create potions and such?
Alchemists work much the same like a Bio-Tech but more Specialized in creation of objects from what ever they where before. Alchemists fall into the Non-Combat class category.
You are limited to what all you have around you thou. So feel free trying to Led into Gold.
Thing is, your potions are supposed to be for support, not offense. You can create potions for others so they can inflict/resist statuses, or increase speed/dmg/def but not like throwing stun vials and such. You're supposed to rely on others to deal the damage, and you buff them. You are the support to the carries if you will
I didn't say that Gwen was carrying offensive vials. The only ones she's known to carry are 1. defense buff vials (most notably an anti-fire vial) and 2. remedy capsules, one of which was given to Jurak.
Now, I think she *does* carry offensive vials, but what's wrong with that? The fact that biotechs are non-combatant sure didn't stop Darkwatck from authorizing them to carry limited pistol weaponry.
Indeed.
Self defense is not looked over when it comes to protection. All non-Combatant classes still need some kind of emergency weapon encase the shit hits the fan.
EX: The Engineer who was carrying around a energy pistol on the elevator. When it combat they are normally found fixing things, working, or healing. That is what a Support is suppose to do, they help support the group to stay alive via, healing, information, ETC.
Now this does not mean in any since they can't have any kind of offensive weaponry, all it means is there training does not cover battle very well and thus they are normally not very good at using said weapons. Yet they still can. Look at Potato's Gremlin, it has a gun but he sucks at aiming with it, a good idea since he is a non-Combat class he has something that can protect him. If he took the time to aim it will be better but unlike a trained soldier he does not have that same, cool under fire, mind set. Thus his shots miss.
Thins PC having some kind of Offensive item is alright, its expected. But what I don't expect is her to be a master like a soldier and in the middle of a fight to have the same level headed mind to be able to stand up with a sword and fight like a regular.
Erm, I wasn't intending Gwen to be good at combat. Hold your horses, folks. I'm not *that* stupid. xD
Indeed my Gremlin does suck with his aim. But don't tell him that or he'll shoot at you (ineffectively).
In an emergency, support is often cut off from the supported, and they'll be trapped. If they don't have any sort of weapon, then bye bye. I think it might be better if the weapon had utility though; Gradus's Iron Slug is good for knocking things down, like the gate that had blocked the way in Candlestick Keep, which is rather commonly needed when you're a Gremlin. His wand makes a formidable club, which is good for when he's surrounded and the recoil from the Slug would send him into a dangerous situation. Even a Gremlin Thwacker's axe is used to cut down foliage and repair parts of the Clockworks, and Scorchers can melt metal to seal it together.
The Snarbolax in Matthew's delusions is a fake. He's just dreaming it up. Not the beast's soul preying on him, or anything. Why he's dreaming it up...
Well, he's mad. :3
Did he by any chance put on a Mad Bomber set recently?
I do like how you deviated from the game on the Vitasuit, giving it (hopefully minor) accelerated healing.
So... this the current roleplay? School suddenly got easy again, so I'm bored. Would it be awkward to join right now, as it seems kinda far in? If not, should I read it to catch up, or is it simple enough to sum up reasonably quickly?
If you're patient, try reading through the whole thing. If not, just glance through the RP and look for anything in brackets; that tells you where everyone is at the time of posting. [Treasure Vault]
Then try and meet up with someone.
Okay, time to break out the Professor Layton music of INTENSE PRODUCTIVITY!
What's inside the canteen that attracts the Swarm? You can tell me over PM if it's a secret.
Ironicly, I have yet to fingure out how to send a PM on the forums. Unless you mean in game. But that would take some time to update...
We can't send PMs on the forums. I meant in-game.
I sent Thin a friend request on my main, I'll send one to you too Dark if the canteen must be kept secret. After all, if it draws in the Swarm, must be pretty darn important.
Try to be more subtle in your support of the swarm, letting someone know you're backing them miiight be seen as traitorus seing as we're heading down to fight them. Try to convince slowly instead of in one post :P
Dark, the party is nearing the elevator terminal around the corner, so do you want to control the Deadnaught now, or have the party first see it, or whatever?
@Sandwich-Potato Nah, he mad.
The most notable effect of the Vitasuit is the reduction of pain from wounds, not the healing of it.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for the feedback. If there's one thing I'm terrible at, it's keeping plot secrets. xD
I can't do a whole lot until Gwen is able to interact with a larger portion of the game's players. Where exactly is everyone at the moment, and can she get there on the current elevator?
Bumped it forward for ya, we are now with the rest of the survivors in the Candlestick keep
Creeper, Status: Declined
Reason: As much as I liked it, I have to decline it, currently I am less interested in seeing more combat classes...Striker is all right and all but that Bio, Everyone's is reviled in the story, but in the Application status I want to have some kind of insight into the character him/her self. It means nothing to me to say, reviled as the story goes on. In fact the way it will be reviled means your going to end up being a punching bag and get knocked down a lot. Yes its true that you can have a very good character with tragic events, but every time you lose will be a tragic event because your going to give us back story.
Also, the moves you have selected need more balancing. And I am pritty sure you need to be a bit older to be a master striker in the Gremlin world. For this reason, Bio and Balancing, I have Declined your Application.
Thin, you troll. I thought that the capital letters stood for something. ._.
It's interesting that Gwen didn't noticed the derpbillion Iron Slug shots bouncing everywhere, though.
Which capital letters? Maybe I *will* make them stand for something. >:)
If you meant the random caps in the Swarm's speech, they represent a weird, digital, otherworldly voice.
Good point about the slug shots. I'll edit that.
Jurak and gwen are at depth 20, Nappy&crew are seeing the apocrean at depth 23 where Jurak and Gwen are heading to. She cant be in both places, but maybe she can communicate with them and know whats going on? IDk that girl is weird
Currently at 7:46 pm EST (-5 GMT) I am in my Guild hall with Thinslayer. (Date: 1/24/2014) Come and join us if you will. Guild Hall: The Darkwatch.
Ended: 9:00 pm EST (-5 GMT). Same date.
The knights should always lose to the Swarm in a straight-up fight, since the Swarm can *usually* just re-use destroyed material to make new units. In addition, Swarm Seed can convert any surrounding material, even gasses and free energy, into usable energy, which can then be used to create new Void Forms. Trying to beat the Swarm in a war of attrition is nigh-suicidal, even when you have its supply lines cut off.
That's the thing, though: knights *shouldn't* be fighting the Swarm straight-up. They should be running around or through it, just like they do in-game in the Shadow Lairs. There are ways to prevent the Swarm's expansion, but I can guarantee that standard combat is not one of them.
Hint: telepathic interference, a.k.a. jamming.
I did not want the Swarm showing up till the Shadow-Layer....
Jumping the gun like this kinda forced me to have to go into a little show off mode to get you to run back. But instead its become a stright up fight now. Normally yes I would say your right, but for right now I just want to get those who are going into those depths down there.
Thin, your good at controling the swarm, thats fine but lets not just go ahead and do something before I was planing on it. The Swarm was suppose to be in the Shadow-Layer. No Aporean yet.
Thinslayer, when you made the character Gwenyvere, You didn't happen to have Dark Souls in mind, did you?
I just found a description of an item, and it strikes a burning resemblence to the name. (I shall only post what is necessary for this realization.)
Gwyndolin, all too aware of his repulsive,
frail appearance, created the illusion of
a sister Gwynevere, who helps him guard
over Anor Londo. An unmasking of these
deities would be tantamount to blasphemy.
The reason that this was in the story thread was due to an error on my part being unaware, And also- I wasn't sure that Thinslayer would be using the OOC thread for this RP. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Since it's been a while since I have used the forums, I shall go back and see what this RP is about. general rushing=Problems.
I've never played Dark Souls. When Gwenyvier/Gwenivere was first created back in "The Fangs," I had Lord of the Rings Galadriel in mind. As you can see, she's long since evolved past that.
Robo N8 is still broken, can someone fixed him and Count Bleck is still stuck
Edit: Thanks to Blessid, Robo N8 is fixed and can now begin moving again.
Also, because of repairs, there are now slight differences. HP is still 20,000 but is now 5x weak to elemental...
New Appearance
I took pieces of you OFF and added it my jaw. How in the world would that turn you into an uber mech?!
What? He is even weaker to elemental! Before he was 3x weaker but now he is 5x weaker. Before hand, if he took 1000 damage from divine avenger, the weakness becomes 3000 but now, it's 5000. So in theory, he is much, much weaker.
Since Robo N8 lost parts, he is now much weaker than before. Makes total sense.
Inb4 shippers come in.
Woah, I didn't know I could randomly create a miniboss like that accidentally. Now I'm scared that I might accidentally summon the apocalypse and bring fiery death on all. Thanks for clearing that up though.
