Can't Run New Client on Mac OS X 10.14

Running Mac OS X 10.14.6
Downloaded latest client from 2/20/26
Cannot launch the client app. Icon has a circle with a line through it. When attempted to open, warning says "You have macOS 10.14.6. The application requires macOS 10.11 or later.". My OS version should clearly be supported.

The Terminal output when trying to launch it says:

Failed to launch JVM

nevermind it was my fault

Hello, I was just trying to lunch game (on Steam) after most recent update.

I keep getting windows error message that reads:

Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will Exit.

I already tried verifying files, then installed and installed game again as per official news post but the issue persist.

I am on Windows 10 (with latest security updates), I am not sure if my pc specs would be of any use as this seems to be some form of permission issue with whatever Java VM is being used now.

Ubuntu Linux 64bit SK Client without Steam asks to be reinstalled, directly after reinstall or doesnt know AggressiveOpts

I reinstalled with the *.bin installer from the downloads page. (edit: but it reinstalled the old version.)
I have these JVMs installed and tried each:
temurin-8-jdk-amd64 (now asks for reinstall after reinstall; reinstalls old version; used to run fine with old version)
java-11-openjdk-amd64 (asks for reinstall after reinstall; reinstalls old version)
temurin-17-jdk-amd64 (doesn't start: Unrecognized VM option 'AggressiveOpts' in launcher.log)
java-21-openjdk-amd64 (doesn't start: Unrecognized VM option 'AggressiveOpts' in launcher.log)

Latest patch still broke on macOS Steam

The latest update fixed SK on macOS, but it seems that the Steam version of the game hasn't been updated and still has the error discussed in this other thread: https://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/124890

I tried replacing the app in Steam's folder with the website version which resulted in no Steam account login.

Then I tried moving Java folder from the website version into the Steam version, but that resulted in different errors.

Sudden case of invalid Steam UserID ticket

I can't play the game anymore since I've started getting this error every time I launch it. It worked just fine earlier in the day.
As the error message suggests exiting the game and quitting Steam completely, I've both restarted Steam and my computer to see if it would help, but it didn't fix it.

Edit: The problem has gone away overnight. I assume it may have been tied to an increase in Steam downtime reports around the time, but I couldn't find any official information on the issue.

Hardware & OS:

MacBook Pro M3 (Apple Silicon)

macOS Sonoma (latest version)

Steam latest version

Problem Description:
I used to be able to play Spiral Knights on this MacBook as recently as August 3rd. Now, whenever I try to launch it from Steam, I get the following error:

OSError256
The application “Steam” does not have permission to open “(null)”.

The only option is to close the dialog with “OK.” No window prompts to authorize the game.

Steps Already Tried:

Verified game files in Steam.

Game Stuck at Login

Hi,

I've been playing SK on Linux (Ubuntu) for years through Steam, but, about a month or two ago, it stopped working for me. What happens is that the game gets stuck at "Logging on..." forever. Usually, the client times out after a while (few minutes), but now, it seems to get stuck showing the same message indefinitely. And I don't even get an error if I uncheck "Use Steam Account", and type in random credentials which means it's network-related?
