My Skolver Cap (5*) stuck on level 8. I'm collecting heat but can't level-up.

Where is ths actual application stored in files? I need to select it for my new mouse to have custom buttons with it.

Each time I get to the title screen, it does not show the option to login with Steam, which is problematic since well, that means I either lost everything I've done so far or I cannot access it.

So if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be more than grateful.

Tried nearly every conceivable thing; swapping the java_vm for a different one (be it jre7 or java 8), KnightLauncher, updating video card drivers, uninstalling then deleting leftover files and reinstalling, etc etc.

I've played this game before on this computer with no issues and haven't changed anything about it since. Could it be a windows update messed something up? Has anyone had this issue before and been able to fix it?

I apologize if this has been posted a lot before. I've looked up and down here and on the steam community forums for solutions and none have worked.

Hello all, I've been trying to run SK on my pretty new laptop (purchased new 4 months ago), but after installing the windows client the game will open to a black screen, play a half second of the music, and then crash. I have confirmed that my computer meets the minimum requirements, I have downloaded the latest version of Java, tried playing through steam instead, creating firewall exceptions, you name it. Here's some other information that I hope can help someone help me!:

So the wiki is a little out of date with regards to Spiral knights on Linux. I figured I'd post my guide on how to install and run the game on ANY distribution (I have tested this method out on Debian, Ubuntu, Pop!_OS, Fedora, Linux Mint, Solus OS, and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed). This guide also does not require invoking "sudo" or any sort of administrative commands or actions.

Recently downloaded SK again on steam after not playing for a year but it comes up with an error saying "Could not create the java virtual machine."
I've tried looking up on google and youtube, uninstalling then reinstalling java but none of the methods have worked so far. I also tried reinstalling SK too but that also didn't work. Not sure about what to do.

I'd waited eagerly to play the "Shroud of the Apocrea" missions, but each time the game crashes within dozens of seconds.
I'm playing the stand-alone version of Spiral Knights (i.e. neither on a browser nor on Steam) on Win10, 8GB of RAM, Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeFOrce GTX 1050,... with the included Java Virtual Machine for 32-bits.
So I followed several guides to upgrade the JRE to 64-bits, in vain. I did not even have the luxury to try various "extra.txt" tweaks. Here are some samples of the various crashes I still have:

I know this topic has been posted a lot before, but I can't find a fix that seems to work. I keep crashing when I try to load the Grasping Plateau level of the Apocrea missions.
