Skyla is Left Handed.
Clockwork Heroes RP [discussion][APPS CLOSED]
Can no one please hear Eltrooper's (Jeptha's) transmission? Unless he has his own plans, I think it'd be cool if the people who landed in the fake sky were too far away compared to Jeptha and Den. This doesn't mean that others couldn't land near that location, though.
Well, Ragnir definitely didnt land inside the Clockworks, since his shuttle was being manned all the way down to the landing, so here's a suggestion for Doctor:
Have Ragnir rescue Jeptha with his shuttle. It could add some spacey-shipey content to this story, and an opening to describe how Cradle looks from outside Haven.
EDIT: Or maybe just leave the poor soul drifting for a while, so he could record some old memories from Isora. That would open an window to expose some backstory without having to collide with any action/exploration scenes from the other chars. But that would be realy forced down to Eltrooper's side, so only if hes feeling up to it.
I'm alright with that as I will be rather busy for the next two weeks, but I was planning on Jep having to rely only on his comlink for any connection to the outside world as he rows the pod for quite awhile. Energy running low will be a problem (unless mist exists again to keep knights fueled but for no other use).
His thoughts while out of comlink range would only provide his history, not much else, but I was planning on having him get attacked by a plausible clockworks monster or two... any suggestions for which ones?
@Magmaul-Ace
I think leaving me to record some memories of Isora and a little activity during the waking and evacuation for awhile would make sense for the time being, as I will not be in any position to post for awhile. Later on the Doctor can rescue me if he wants to.
Wait, we are supposed to ignore Jeptha? Dang need to edit my post!
That actually works out pretty awesomely! Den is stuck as a prisoner to some gremlins, so he and Jeptha can bond, because they're both alone.
Subjects are very handy dandy.
Handy dandy space da- nah, just handy dandy.
Erm, the knights are probably unaware of vog at the time before and just after the crash. I say this because they were unaware of Almire (which is where vog had his greatest influence as far as we know through Vanaduke) and vog seems to stick around Cradle making vog cubs that get hunted to extinction. Though he could have world-hopped I suppose, all of the wonders of the clockworks are new to the Knights who travelled however long to get to Cradle. Thus, they would not have any knowledge of him, or would possibly know of him as a legend, nothing more.
So why are people referring to him at this time, during the crash?

Though it is a quite nice curse word replacement, that doesn't mean you should metagame, even by accident.
Yeah, I guess I should just make some other curse word for the time being and leave Vog for when we start dealing with fiery business. Like the
FSC and such.
@Liminori: Ohhh dog, I'm really sorry! >_< I didn't understand what you meant in your post at first, but now I do and I totally ignored you. Uhhh, let's just say that gun puppies disabled the Skyla's com link at first, but it began working afterwords? Sorry!
I understand my first post was confusing, and the followup didn't tell a whole lot about what happened.
You'll see what happened soon.
Edit: That's pretty much what happened though.
Either we come up with a replacement for 'vog' which would probably not fit what we know of Isora since we know so little, or just be creative in avoiding cursing altogether.
You guys are all certainly creative enough to work around the overused words we hear all the time if you can write like you can in an RP. The writing I see from all of you is quality. Give this creativity a shot and it might add a bit more flavor to this already enjoyable RP.

*Screaming internally*

Sorry that this is unrelated to everything, but- Square Enix and FRIGGIN YOKO TARO working together,
AAAAAAAAAAAAH
Sorry...?
I didn't think It'd be an issue, but it's just the new NieR project that was displayed at E3.
It's probably because of the front view of the character landing with the camera low enough.
-
Edit: oh wait you can see the title... redundancy is redundant.
Liminori.
I hope you realize the way everything came out of that post just tarnished NiER's reputation.
Anywho, the rating block is because NiER is M-rated. That's all.
And no, Liminori, you forgot to mention that the video was a showcase of the art and the graphics engine (which was FREAKING BEAUTIFUL) of the next NiER game.
And Kaine's Shade is the tranny, not Kaine herself.
I think I missed something... something very important...
Thin, shall we continue the conversation from the other night if your interested?
I'm sorry about the slow going. Signing up for college classes has been nothing short of a nightmare. There was a point where I legitimately thought I was going to go insane!
I should be able to post more frequently now.
I'm wondering if we could rig up the tailpod (I couldn't stick with a name before- another thing I apologize for) as a makeshift tank... eventually.
Starpod.
Rig it up at your leisure. Make sure to use some Blitz Needles torn from the Skylark's wreckage. ;)
With players landing in such disparate locations, I'm a little at a loss as to how to proceed. Any ideas? The next plot point is to have the players help Cherub set up Rescue Camp.
Make it so that on the Rescue Camp side of the Chasm, you don't have to necessarily go down depths to reach places?
Or make it so that we all go down / up a depth, regroup, and then go back up to the Rescue Camp?
Well, most players landed in a Clockworks level, and I assume a handfull of Mess Team and Cherub landed on the surface.
I say that we just make it to our depth's elevators and head up. Meanwhile Cherub and the knights on the surface can group up and set the Camp.
I suggest we follow the in-game plot for a bit and have everyone make it to the Camp at afternoon. Who knows, maybe this can be that infamous first camp night.
So from what I can tell, the plot branching has formed these lines:
-Aralon and Serah on a Coumpound (or perhaps its just a Clockworks Tunnel?).
-Den, Skyla(...?) and a weak transmission from Jep on a Gremlim prison.
-Chael and Mundy on a bright Aurora Isles level.
-Rael and Ragnir on a Pod rescuing mission.
-Jep stranded in the middle of an ocean.
-Cherub and Co. trying to set up camp.
-Stenev and Captain Ozlo struggling to land the Skylark safely.
Thats a lot of branching, but I can see how most of these plots could converge.
-Rael grabs Cherub and Co. for the ride. They find some scrambled knights along the way and set up shop.
-Chael, Mundy, Aralon and Serah get to their elevators, meet each other in the depth just above and try to make it to the surface.
-Den and Skyla(...?) get to stick around the Clockworks for a while, whith a comlink to Jep for some company.
Great.
I'm an idiot; so I accidentally named the other skyla Jeptha.
...Even though there's already one.
I feel it's necessary to change that because It'd be a bit too awkward to have a "NO, I'M JEPTHA!" arguement between Semi-Skyla and Jeptha.
Redundant, Funny maybe- but kinda a big whoop.
I'm fixing that. . .
-
Edit: Fixed.
Further Edit: Since I've broken my word about coming back in a week three times in a row, I guess it's time to make that big, massive, gruesome post with tons of murder guts and gore.
I was trying to delay that because I was planning graphic murder.
Actually, Aralon and Seraph are on an Aurora Isle, because pools exist in those tilesets (I just added the mist part as part of the stratum being so high up).
Right, So I think I'm going to do this in three parts.
Just, dang...
No one has reported the actual explosion of the skylark yet, should I?
That's my job.
Also, please don't ever use Ozlo again. He's mine.
The reason I haven't reported the explosion of the Skylark is because it hasn't happened yet. The pods arrived first, and Ozlo is doing his best to pilot it to the surface in one piece.
Was "By the way, is the other guy still here?" also recorded, Or did Den just say that to himself with the Comlink off?
Can i tweak lumbers so they could strike while moving?
Sorry for leaving you guys unattended for so long. I think I've figured out how to transition to the next plot point. Doctorspacebar, it's your time to shine! I'll give you guys an update later today.
It's 12:52pm here.
Hmm I might join but I will need to read first. Also if I go away for a stent forgive me, because I am moving soon.
Well why not.
Name: Amartia. (More Greek :D)
Gender: Male.
Gear:
-Iron Wolf Helm
-Iron Wolf Armor
-Red Saber
Accessories:
-Side Blade; just the sheath of the blade, it is what holds the Red Saber. Makes for easy drawing of the blade as well as easier to keep it active instead of inside of storage all the time.
-Shackles; Just one on his main sword hand. Its more or less a handy-cap for others to make him slower in a fight.
-Dread Seal; only shows up when the shackle is removed.
-Pipe; Just a normal pipe, used to calm ones nerves.
Additional Info: Joining the Spiral Order to better himself Amartia found a deep distant growing inside of himself, not for the people, but for the way the blades where used. For him he was a swordsmen, trained and hardened by his veterancy with the order. Having spent more time with his red Saber leaning the way of the curved weapons. Of course he was not much of a power house hitter, but rather a thinker and quick striker. He believed that a man should be honorable, even in death.
As of today's standers Amarita has seen little honor in the way a person uses the weapons. Requiring no shield, instead he slows himself down with the shackle on his blade hand to keep himself in check as well as to hand-cap himself when he fights. For if he is not always trying to better himself, then why does he fight?
When the shackle is released a dreadful seal is seen across his face, revealing his style. To move fast as a demon, and strike with the Precision of a sniper. Though to make him stronger this curse also punishes him, for every moment with the seal visible, his whole body is thrown into torment. The pain almost debilitating at times. Once the Shackle is returned, the pain seeps in and takes its toll, not only on the body but the mind as well.
[Well damn I felt like this was a rather bad one :L]
Well, the grammar was a bit off, but we could aways use some idealistic characters.
Thanks a lot Darkwatch. You and your evil curse.
Just kidding! It is quite queer that forums have slowed down so much. I know why I was busy. Well, summer is here, so hopefully we see a forum revolution. An explosion of content of sorts. We'll just have to wait and see what's next. ;)
This forum slowed down long before you arrived. I'm guessing the reason you think it died when you posted is because you were only watching it around that time. If you were watching it prior to that, you'd have seen that the slowdown did not occur near your posting time.
I am aware, I suppose when I had a good idea for a character it was a tad late but mah.
Use something other than a Mask of Seerus, and the character will be good to go.
As for the rest of you, my next posts will have to be short and uninspiring. We need to keep the game moving until something really interesting crops up. Agreed?
We can do it Thin!
EDIT: It could be entirely viable to have people set up rescue camp and begin missions from there, like rescuing a certain little knight...
The new bio works. Thanks!
