Clockwork Heroes RP [discussion][APPS CLOSED]

I don't really know anything, so I might need some briefing or whatnot.
Essentially I'm just back from Payday 2, so this character is heavily referencing a Payday 2 character.
And also, do I have to use current spiral tech? And any level requirments?
Name: Wolf.
Gender: Male
Gear:
A common Cobalt Ballistic Vest, blocks only the weakest of projectiles before breaking. Last resort if shield is broken.
Common blaster. Can be modified into a suppressed pistol, a 3-round burst SMG or a Single-Shot Punch Gun.
Some Blast Bombs (Different elements). Generally uses it as a breaching weapon, can be tossed and remotely blown up.
Sunglasses. Displays a HuD and is capable of 'tagging' enemies. Highlights them with a red outline, and yells at them. e.g "CLOAKER!"
P.S.G: Portable Shield Generator. Wolf can throw down a shield and it produces a bubble. (Similar to Halo's shield bubble) Breaks easily. Can be applied to others as a means to protect them, but immobilises them. (Armour lock in Halo.)
Accessories:
Two-Piece-Suit. Gotta look good when you're robbing a bank. (Ballistic Vest is underneath)
Sunglasses.
Blue latex gloves. Who wants fingerprints all over the bodies and the hostages?
Additional Info:
He's black haired, has a swedish accent, breaks into a mutter of Swedish when under pressure. Generally a team player, but if he encounters betrayal.... Wolf will go into hell and back just to get the guy that messed him up.
Extremely loyal to people who prove themselves to him. He has the 'all of us or none of us' mentalilty. Will be willing to take a sniper's bullet for a buddy.
EXTREMEMLY HATES CASES AND MICROTRANSACTIONS AND WILL TURN INTO A RAGING MANIAC WITH CHAINSAWS AND DRILLS IF HE SEES ANYONE SAYING THE WORDS 'OVERKILL' AND 'MICROTRANSACTIONS' AND 'DRILLS' AND 'SAFES' TOGETHER. HE WILL LITERALLY MURDER THE GUY AND WILL UNINSTALL PAYDAY 2.

Let's give him Woven Firefly Pathfinder armor, a Dark Chaingun, Super Blaster, and Swiftstrike Buckler. PSG is acceptable as-is. Two-piece suit is okay. Are these modifications acceptable?

I'm okay with the Woven Pathfinder, Super Blaster. I would rather have no shields at all. Having the bubble shield is enough.
I don't want the dark chaingun, but can I at least screw a suppressor onto my Blaster?
Are my glasses alright?
Maybe a small parrying blade strapped onto the thigh of my leg would be better than the Dark Chaingun.

Hmm seeing as I have made a Cloaker build in Payday 2 and have been enjoying death with; let me give you some equivalents :P
Commotioned Officers :: Captian Winters (In this case they would have to work as the Lt's being the special shields and Ozlo being the main man himself)
Warden :: Skull-Dozer
Heavy Guardian :: Black-Dozer (Aka just 'Dozer') Green-Dozer (Aka 'Bulldozer')
Wolver Units/Strikers/Recon :: Cloaker (Wolver units would be Death wish version, Recon would be Overkill, Striker would be Very hard or lower)
Guardian :: Sheild (Its a streched but it works all the same.)
Shadow/Bomber/Piercing :: Heavy SWAT. (This is encluding the breaching units and heavy armored)
Gunslinger :: Sniper's (Low health, high single damage output)
Cobalt Guardian :: SWAT, rescue units, normal cops, guards. (Makes the most since to have them cover the rest.)
There you go, have some crossing.

Haven't been on these forums in a while, but let's give it a whirl. Also, I'm wondering if giving my character a three star item is a bit too much?
Name: Cobalt
Gender: Male
Gear: Padded armor (The one star gunner armor.)
Fractured Mask of Seerus.
Shield: A small buckler, namely the frostbreaker shield.
Weapon: Antigua (COWBOY STYLE.) and a super slime smasher.
Accessories: A com unit and a helmet mounted heads-up display on the broken side of his mask, both the gray colour of the mask itself.
How it Works: The com unit is just a basic frequency receiver and microphone. It's rather easy to disable. The HUD addition gives basic information about the knight, including injuries, shield energy meter (although it's useless to Cobalt, as he doesn't use one) and item conditions. Cobalt's version gives him a few extra additions, including the ammunition count of his antigua, and in the general direction it's aiming. Think a FPS reticle, but a lot less accurate. The majority of the aiming has to come from Cobalt's skill.
Additional Info: Just ask if you want to know anything.

Spiral regulations require that Cobalt carry a shield into combat. If he needs both hands free, a buckler will work. Alternatively, if he's able to get a hold of a technician, he can have the shield rigged to his armor in some fashion like Cherub does.
Otherwise, the character is cleared to go.

Alright, a buckler will have to do. Edited it in.

Er, what about Furor? Due to his fighting style, he lacks a shield too(though the blade is big enough to block with). Does that mean I gotta "ret-con" a shield for him?

I forgot what my reasoning was at the time. Yes, he needs a shield too.

While I accepted your app via Skype, this post is for the benefit of everyone else.
Your application is accepted!

Maybe Furor has a Defender since it's basic and standard. Not... that it matters at the moment given the current situation.

Hopefully I'm doing this right.
-Name: Kurelion
-Gender: Male
-Gear:
-A Sturdy Shovel (Slime Slasher), a shovel which Kurelion planned to use to extract soil samples from the newly found planet of Cradle before the crash of the Skylark, but even though it is no sword, it proved itself as a good weapon after the crash.
-A Spiral Flak Jacket, a simple suit of armor for basic protection, given to Kurelion when he joined the mission to find another energy source for Isora.
-A Spiral Crescent Helm, a simple helmet for basic protection, given to Kurelion when he joined the mission to find another energy source for Isora.
-A Blaster, a chosen ranged weapon of Kurelion, which he earned for showing skill and versatility in ranged combat tests on the Skylark.
-An Iron Buckler, an iron cast shield that Kurelion took from the Skylark minutes before it was destroyed when an energy reading emerged from Cradle, as all knights prepared for landing.
Accessories:
-A Com Unit, bit of tech resembling an asymmetrical antenna and mouthpiece used for short range communication and signal detection. It can communicate from up to 50 meters away, and it can detect signals from up to 1 kilometer away, though it will be able to decipher it into sound only from 200 meters away.
-A Vitakit, a backpack looking accessory with basic healing supplies, though it takes a long time to use it on anyone.
Additional Info:
Kurelion is a skilled marksman, able to take enemies well from afar. When it comes to close-range combat, he does more well using quick swords, using his great agility to dodge most of the enemy's attacks. While when surrounded, he can show quite some strength, bashing into his enemies with his shield and escaping using, once more, his agility.

@Kurelion: I'm liking him. As we have a useful number of players already though, I have just one question for you:
What role do you have in mind for the character? To put this another way, what does he bring to the story?

My character from what I based it off has a couple of options to bring something new to the story,
1. A Marksman, skilled in ranged combat and able to take its enemies from afar, a marksman is a necessity in every expedition on Cradle (not really new but an option)
2. A Support, skilled in healing even at the field (though usually not much can be done) he's able to help wounded knights be able to fight once more. Not a necessity, yet extremely helpful in most cases.
3. A Recon, striking from the shadows when you least expect it, a recon is quick and a powerful addition to any expedition. Though alone it is powerless after his damage burst, in combinations with other knights it is able to do much damage.
There are probably a bunch of other things I can be, and if you have any ideas please tell me, but off the top of my head that's all I've got.
EDIT: I see why it's hard for me to join right now, it makes no sense I'll wake up on the elevator... Another option is once you go down you find me lying there after a Retrode through me down to this depth? Or maybe now is just not a good time to join. Whatever the case might be just tell me when and to start and I will.

There are other knights at camp besides the player characters. It would actually make sense to start your story running for the elevator as Cherub directed.
Still thinking of roles he could play. Just start writing; we'll figure something out by the time anything important happens.

So guys, which would you prefer happen to Furor in your honest opinion?
A: He makes it to the elevator in the last second after helping escort everyone.
B: He could not make it on time and was forced to stay back and fight, revealing the other side of his personality in the process.
Thanks in advance.

I think revealing the other side of you personality is a great idea, but there's one thing... I am currently being carried by 'someone' and I need someone to identify as that 'someone', so maybe you can do something like I am the last knight in the camp you put me on the elevator and then it's full or something? I dunno, just an idea.

Den remembered his escape. He knows who the Black Valkyrie is.

If not, here's my application:
Name: Kam
Gender: Female
Gear ;
Accessories ;
Additional Info: Despite her intimidating aura, when one gets to know Kam they discover that she's nothing but a teddy bear. She worries for the younger and lower ranking knights and protects them when the time arises. After the Skylark crash Kam is determined to get to the core and find a way off of Cradle. Something doesn't sit to well with her and this planet, but she can't quite put her finger on it. Some could say that she's overreacting and needs to calm down, and she forces herself to agree with them. Only time will tell...

You've put far more effort into this than I have.
You deserve that spot.

Accepted! You begin on the elevator with the others.

So what exactly happened to Den? ಠ_ಠ
His fate was fairly ambiguous... >_<"

I believe he got carried to the elevator. Somebody wrote it in, but he described the event without naming any names.

Well then I'll just let him continue being traumatically in shock/unconscious. Carry me!

Think about it, he doesn't know Wolf's condision outside of he was tossed down. If Wolf didn't want to be carried then he should have spoken up xD

Hex plays as Den, not Wolf. Den was the one who had a PTSD event upon seeing the Black Valkyrie and was already carried to the elevator. Wolf was the one who was left behind, got almost-killed, and pushed down the elevator shaft. It could be a while before he lands. Also, the Black Valkyrie is coming along after him; that was the sinister presence you're feeling.

Quick pop quiz, guys.
What would make this RP more fun? Do you feel like more action, more dialogue, or more poetry would make it better? Are there any more specific items you want to see?

I think we need to see some more action, more people seemed to participate when the objective was clear and the time frame was NOW. (Getting to the lift when the Valkyrie was coming back).

Clear & immediate objectives. Makes sense.
Methinks I need a clear *big* objective besides just "survive the night." Maybe I can facilitate it by getting the game's main villain developed (a secret individual at this time, not the Black Valkyrie). In the meantime, the knights need a clear objective on a somewhat smaller scale. Earlier today, I had this idea of Haven burning up and Seerus laughing...

And thats when your realize Thin might have a darker objective here.

And thats when your realize Thin might have a darker objective here.
I saw that from miles away.

Well duh, because good stories are built around conflict. And this is a story about heroes, mind you (cue the title); heroes require a really intense conflict. The bigger the heroes, the darker the conflict.

@Thinslayer: More plot twists!
@Dark: I was aiming for, maybe I dropped PAST the elevator and hit an unknown floor. So yes, I'm protesting. I'm not a baby and I'm not being carried around.
@Midnight: Stop being so negative, bruh.
@Hex: Hex, you be the gigantic baby and be carried around. I'll stay crippled.

Well, I should probably explain what caused me to not post for the longest time.
Basically, I got swamped with college stuff, and all my focus was on Machinauts. By the time it was cleared out, I was seriously neglecting this (and New Kind of Roleplaying Game, which, believe it or not, is still... quasi-active?) to the point that I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get back into it.
So for now I'll probably just stay in the sidelines and watch for moments where Ragnir might show up for, say, a scene or two. As a Viking-esque Big Guy with an established habit of arriving late, he'll probably show up during battles and then walk off afterward to do something else.

Feel free to jump in at any time and pretend Ragnir was there all along. No need to retcon it. ;)

Well, hey again everyone. Not sure if anyone would actually remember, though I remember some of you, names anyway. Anyways, for the what, third time again, I've decided to try and take up roleplaying again. This is just me being lazy AF, but could i just be brought up to speed on what is currently happening so I can maybe toss in a character?

I remember your name.
Sklark crashed in a blaze of glory. Pods shot down to the surface amidst heavy rocket fire, suppressed by the Skylark's guns. Cherub formed Rescue Camp, which got attacked by a Swarm-corrupted Valkyrie named Serah. She chased them down to a Clockwork Chasm, where the knights found themselves in an elaborate trap which they have yet to get out of.

Sooo, you want me to show up down there or somewhere else? Apologies if I'm relying on you too much, just don't wanna mess up any plan you may have. I'll throw together an app shortly.

I always recommend reading through an RP before joining up. The reason isn't so much to bring you up to speed on current events, but rather so that you develop a mental image of the world in which you're immersing yourself. That will give you the material needed to spawn your own subplots within the universe of Clockwork Heroes.
There are some players here who haven't read up on the lore, and it shows. They don't remember when they first awakened aboard the Skylark, nor do they remember their harrowing escape or their first crashes on Cradle. This stuff really sets the stage for the rest of the story I have planned, and some of its key elements won't be as readily understood without that context.
Here is the link to the first Clockwork Heroes thread. It's a better read than this thread, admittedly.

Start off on the rotating platform with the rest of us. I had NPC knights involved in the story, and some of them came along. You can take the place of one of those knights and just start off where we are. No need for retconning or anything. ;-)

Name: Paladin(I just like the title, can go without if need be) Kyrios
Gender: Male
Gear:
-Heavy Plate Mail Set: Made up of heavy composite armour plates and containing an internalised power source and servo system, this set of armour augments the wearer's strength and durability, turning a single soldier into a borderline tank.
-Ascended Calibur: Standard-issue sword for Paladins. Kyrios is experienced in its use.
-Mighty Defender: Again, standard-issue, and Kyrios is again, experienced using it.
Misc.: His armour is painted a dull gold, with red accents.
Additional Info: Kyrios' family was among the first to join the Order, and he was brought up through their care. All he knows is the Order, and he is utterly devoted. He only speak when spoken to, treats his allies with respect, regardless of rank and is completely, totally willing to die for the mission.
As said, he isn't very talkative, doesn't joke and is straightforward.

You know what? I think I've clean-forgotten how to handle multiple players in an RP.

You've been doing great so far. If you've forgotten, I couldn't tell looking back at the stuff you've wrote.

It's not even really your fault. I just think no one remembers poor ol' Den and I can't do much with him, haha xD

I mean you could, but at this point you would need him to get up and get into the action as best as possible. Even little actions can contribute to the over all story. Tell us what he is seeing, feeling, experiencing. ETC.

Weeellllll, I did much prefer him as an addition to the plot and a burden to the players, but clearly that didn't pan out, so I guess I'll have to bring him back, until he gets undoubtedly severely wounded, noticed for a post or two, then forgotten until the next time he miraculously heals XD
Sure! Here's the app requirements, copy-pasted from post #1.
To join this game, a small amount of information is required for screening:
