Ikaros

Vog damned Swarm creatures. I snarled as they interrupted me and my food, and drew both my Divine Avenger and Glacius menacingly. I dashed up to one and slashed its head off before it knew what was coming, then whirled around and swung my Divine Avenger through three monsters at once. I spotted one Morai dragging a wounded comrade along, and shot a sleep arrow at him. Another Morai rushed towards me, but my hand whipped out behind myself and choked the creature until it went limp. I smirked and threw the creature to the ground, then charged my bow and sent a volley of elemental arrows into the monsters. Still, there were too many of them.

It looked as if we would be overwhelmed.

The twins advanced on the overwhelmed valkyrie. Crystalline swords flashed in the light of the warehouse. One swung its sword at the wounded knight, it hit across her left arm. The second moved to subdue the incoming guardian knight, shields clashed and the twin was thrown back by the force of the blow the second held back the guardian knight as more swarm monsters spawned and the first twin covered them with his guardian shield. The second grabbed the valkyrie, now infected with dark powers and teleported out, into the shadow lair, the first stayed back and fought off the knights.

(The twins are exactly like arkus in the silent legion except they have much stronger armor and shadow attacks and they can infect people with the swarm.)

And here's a character: the one that Kirito mentioned a few times during the RP; Takiza, King of the Council and friend to both Gwenyvier and Kirito

Name: Takiza Kaelyntos Nagato
Gender: male
Personality: a kind and fair leader, who will do whatever is necessary to protect the Valkyries.
Appearance: somewhat small and meek, but regardless of his stature he is one of the strongest of the Council.
Arsenal: a white Divine Avenger, a white Heavenly Iron set (symbolizing his role as king of the council), Argent Peacemaker, and, before giving Ikaros the bow, was the second wielder of the Aepollon Bow ((spoiler))
Costume: has a golden cape and blindingly white halo.
Loadout: usually his DA and his Heavenly iron set, but in rare cases will use his Aepollon Bow.
Bio: His usually meek and timid demeanor and stature belies his true nature: the bold and daring leader of the Valkyrian Council who will do anything necessary to protect his subjects; even if to do so, he had to banish his former best friend, Kirito Sakurai. He is among the strongest of the Valkyries, and can battle even Kirito himself to a standstill.

Alright then let's say the twins infect a sort of poison instead of swarm, that incapacitates its prey for about an hour.

I winced in pain as a Morai scratched my arm with his sword. Before i could teach the fool a lesson, another Morai had grabbed me, and all i saw was darkness.

Is this what it is like to die?

But my thoughts were interrupted as the Morai and i stumbled to the ground. We had simply teleported, not died. I looked around and saw the eerie glow of a Shadow Lair surrounding me.

I decided that i'd rather have been dead.

Takiza

I felt both joy and disgust when I saw Gwen again. She used to be one of my best friends, along with Kirito. At least, before the Exile. She used to be beautiful, strong, someone i looked up to, even though she was technically my equal as co-leader of the Council. Now she was Fallen, and although she would always be my friend, i hate to admit that it still repulsed me to lay eyes on her. I smiled tiredly at her. "Hello, dear Gwenyvier. How have you been?" I faintly heard the Council's spokesman, Argon, speaking to the Isoran. I sighed. Turning to Argon, i spoke up, "Excuse me for a while, my friend." Holding my hand out for Gwen, i asked, "Care to walk with me?"

(Back at the warehouse)

The remaining twin was holding the knights back well and even if they defeated them, they would never tell where they took the valkyrie for interrogation. And even if one of the warriors spoke up the built in kill switch the swarm had "installed" would silence the captive. The knights were being led by the guardian it was time to take him out. The other void creatures besides the snake vanguards were falling fast, he had to end this quick.

I saw their numbers narrow down, and I struck yet another warrior down. I attempted to sidestep an attack, but tripped and the attack cut him lightly. I managed to strike back and get on my feet. "Hey, where's ikaros?"

((Afraid not. Also, I would like to clear up, you CANNOT, form the Swarm into whatever you want. Sure you can summon the monster to do stuff fo you, but if you were able to control, that simply wouldn't work out. It is simply beyond us all. The Master is the only one that could control the Swarm in such a way.))

((That means that . . . Anubis has very little chance of being born by the core, unless it's been around for a long time, like. . . The Swarm. . . So, I'll guess that there have been a few creatures/things made by the core, being pure energy, which can build up for many years to create something every so often, like Anubis. But why? (Cue the epic echo Archemiday! *Dun Dun Dun. . .*))

Edit: How can I get a bunch of CR without buying it? Many, Many Dungeon runs? I mean, I do have an elevator pass, but the twins are annoying to farm.))

((I just thought, I would be funny if seatus were to just pop up next to us while we were typing and grab a monocole and say "Myes, indeed, one would begin to wonder what such a thing could be doing for such a long time."

Can we get a recap of what happened, since our viewing audience might be confused right around now. An even better question is do we even have an audience?

((Would anyone care to answer me as to how Trivoc suddenly glowed elemental when he got bitten by Axis? Or am I allowed to take creative liberty with that plot point? >:)

Also, when are the Isoran squad gonna get a decent break? They've been constantly fighting ever since the Clockwork Terminal fight XD))

Trivoc

Ikaros had frowned at his comment about the Mountain Jelly, this made Trivoc a little more than worried. [Just don't make things worse for yourself pal'] He said mentally to himself.

After Ikaros had quickly finished up the drink that was offered by Archemiday. She had asked for more, but the bard was adamant in preserving his supplies. "Oh, and who is the guy we fought a while back?" Archemiday asked. Trivoc was about to answer when he hear Arkus shout.

"Guys, the Swarm is here! Battle positions!" the Guardian said.

Trivoc had already drew his Argent Peacemaker, while Chappers still fumbled around for his Pepperbox. Arkus was then attacked by two, perfectly identical Void Morai. What followed was then a seemingly endless barrage of Void creatures. "Open fire!" Trivoc commanded as he and Chappers laid down a wall of projectiles against The Swarm.

While they were able to take down a large number with their initial rain of bullets, the horde was still closing in. Trivoc had put away his weapon and pulled out his blunted Cold Iron Vanquisher. "Get behind me and keep shooting." He told Chappers. the Knight quickly obliged, firing from behind Trivoc as the latter hacked and slashed at the oncoming creatures.

A Void Lumber came up and Trivoc slashed at it, thinking it would be cut in half. However, the sword simply bumped against the enemy, and pushed it aside. [Darn that Morai for ruining my sword...] He thought as Chappers peppered the Lumber with gunfire to finish it off.

"Cover your ears!" Archemiday shouted over the noise of the battle. Trivoc and Chappers didn't question the command and did so, just as an earsplitting sound echoed across the warehouse. Even with their ears protected, the sound still hurt them. Trivoc exclaimed in pain, but he couldn't even hear his own voice.

Soon enough, the sound stopped, and the Void creatures started slinking back to where they came from.

Trivoc was tired from the fight, but he still had some energy left in him. At least until he heard Archemiday say something. "Hey, where's Ikaros?" He asked. Now, Trivoc had more energy than a Knight swimming in a Mist Well. He looked everywhere, but he did not see the Knight with pink wings. "Did anyone see where she went?" He asked, hoping that she had just retreated.

"I-I t-think I saw her get grabbed by the Morai twins while we were fighting." Chappers stammered out ((He's getting really observant XD)). Trivoc's eyes went angry as he walked up to him. "Why didn't you say anything? We could've helped her!" He shouted at the Cobalt Knight. Chappers sunk down. "I-I'm s-sorry... I w-was scared and... I couldn't say a word!" He said pitifully.

Trivoc looked like he was about to hit the poor Knight, so Arkus intervened. "Stand down Trivoc, there was nothing we could've done. Our next order of business is to find her." He then knelt down next to the weeping Cobalt Knight "Calm down and think, where would they take her?" He asked in a gentle manner.

Chappers waited for his tears to stop. He spoke in between sobs "Well... *sniff* If they teleported away then *sniff* the only place they could be in is a *sniff*... Shadow Lair."

Arkus stood up. "Then were going down to Depth 23. I still have some spare Shadow Keys that Gwen gave when we went for the Echo Stone. We'll just have to search." He said. The Guardian then turned to Archemiday. "If you want, you can come with us, we could use the help." He said. He then noticed a battle-sprite and a newcomer in the area. "Sorry, didn't notice you there." He said with a wave. "You want to come with us? We're heading down to Depth 23. We can introduce ourselves on the way." He said as he made for the elevator.

Trivoc and Chappers followed the Guardian. Chappers was still shaken from the fight, and Trivoc's outburst. Meanwhile, the Knight in the Radiant Silvermail was angry, not at Chappers, but at himself. One, For not being able to help Ikaros. And two, for losing his temper. It wasn't Chappers' fault that he hadn't spoken. [I should've controlled myself... I can handle my emotions better than this. I know I can... Can I?] He thought somberly as he walked.

I can come. I really don't have much else to do. On the bright side, mountain jelly everywhere is safe." Archemiday said jokingly. He paused for a moment before continuing. "Maybe we could take a moments rest?" He asked. Arkus stopped, looked in his direction, and tossed a Health Capsule.

"It might not heal your wounds completely, but it'll help make the pain go away." The Guardian said.

"We need to keep moving." Trivoc said unemotionally as he continued forward. He wanted to get down there as soon as possible, and he didn't want to risk another outburst in front of them.

Dagoon and Thrynn decided to go with them, silent as they were. ((The description either forgot about Archemiday, or Dagoon, but then again, Archemiday, isn't a stranger. I'll be gone for a while, so. . . Dagoon and Thrynn are NPCs till' I get back.))

Trivoc

The entire group got into the elevator and started the long journey down. "My name's Arkus, a Guardian, or rather a former Guardian" Arkus told the newcomer and the battle-sprite. "This is Trivoc, Defender-class. Chappers, Soldier-class. And a Archemiday, a bard. We're heading down to help Ikaros, a Vanguard who got captured by The Swarm." He continued. "So, what are your names?" Archemiday asked.

"I'm Thyrnn. And this is Dagoon." 'the battle-sprite said, referring to the Isoran in heavy armor. Archemiday looked surprised upon seeing the one named Dagoon.

After cutting their way through multiple depths (which was doubly hard for Trivoc, given his damaged sword), they finally reached the Clockwork Terminal. Basil still hadn't returned, but they understood why he'd want to leave; both the surface and the underground had turned into a war-zone, after all.

Trivoc headed straight for the alchemy station, and used the materials he had gathered to repair his Cold Iron Vanquisher, at least to some degree. Arkus had taken out his shadow keys and started counting. Chappers was checking his Pepperbox's magazines. Meanwhile, Thyrnn, Dagoon, and Archemiday were doing their own things.

"Ok, we have 3 Shadow Keys, meaning we wont be able to search one Shadow Lair. I suggest we refrain from searching Shadow Firestorm Citadel, since they probably wont be making a base there, not while Darkfire Vanaduke might still be recovering. So, we'll be searching the Shadow Gloaming Wildwoods, the Shadow Royal Jelly Palace, and the Shadow Ironclaw Munitions Factory." Arkus announced.

"We'll split into 3 teams. Archemiday, you go with Dagoon into the Royal Jelly Palace. Chappers, you're with me. We'll tackle the Ironclaw Munitions Factory. Trivoc, you go with Thyrnn into the Gloaming Wildwoods." He continued, as he tossed a key to Archemiday and Trivoc. "We'll meet up at The Sanctuary. If they're not in any of these Shadow Lairs, then we'll have to pick up another Shadow Key and search The Citadel." He finished.

Arkus and Chappers were the first to head down. Archemiday and Dagoon headed to their elevator next. After they had descended, it was only Trivoc and Thyrnn left. They headed for the elevator covered in plants, and a green miasmata.

As the elevator went down, Trivoc tried to make small talk with the battle-sprite."So, you're Thyrnn... You're the one we saw earlier at the warehouse skirmish, and the one who sent Archemiday the swordlute, right?" He asked. The battle-sprite confirmed this. Trivoc remained quiet for the rest of the trip down.

[Just hang in there Ikaros, help's on the way...] He thought, hoping that she was alright, or at the very least, alive. He would never give Axis a moment's peace if he had ended her life.

((@azure well, the question is for everyone considering I don't want to use anyones characters without permission. I also might have to change the spiral knights theme for copyright issues, but the storyline and characters would still be intact.))

"So... Hows your day... Going?". I said as I tried to stand as far away from Dagoon as possible. I knew I had buried her earlier, so this wasn't exactly a normal case of shyness. I tapped my Arch Drive which brought up a menu. I tapped the map icon to look at a map to verify we were going the right way. Never a good situation to go to fire storm citadel instead of a lair full of jelly.

Ikaros

I snarled as i thrashed against my chains. My wings had been locked towards my body and my arms bound behind my back with Volcanic Iron. My muscles felt cramped and i felt evil shadow energy swhirling around me, draining me of my strength. I spotted seven hungry-looking Morai licking their lips maliciously and noticed that i wore nothing but a tight shirt and my skirt. I gulped. Morai were known for... Doing things to their prisoners. I prayed that Atropos would be kind and cut my life line before the Morai lost their patience with me. Noticing my weapons scattered over the floor so tantalizingly close to me, i struggled against the Volcanic Iron chains even harder. I had almost reached my Divine Avenger when a Morai kicked it out of reach. Smirking, he pressed himself uncomfortably close to my chest and hissed, "Just stay still, sweetheart. It'll be less painful that way." With that, he traced his finger down my neck until he reached my thighs. "Of course, you can keep struggling, and me and my men will have our revenge on you anyway." He chuckled and moved to join his comrades in guarding me. I growled and summoned up my courage.

"WHERE AM I?! TELL ME NOW OR I'LL MAKE YOU SUFFER!" I roared.

"Where are you? Well, that's an easy one to answer. You're in hell."

The wretched form of a half viper, half Morai stepped out of the shadows and sneered at me.

@Archemiday: Gzilla said "Ruins", so I'm assuming they're in the Gloaming Wildwoods, he also mentioned the word "woods". Gzilla, if I'm wrong, please correct me and I'll use the power of editing.))

Trivoc

Trivoc was surprised at the fact that the monsters were already dead, but his surprise quickly turned to realization when he thought that Axis had been through here. "Let's go!" Trivoc said as he dashed through the woods, with Thyrnn in tow. He paid no heed to how far he ran, or what he ran past, he had only one mission on his mind.

Eventually, the duo reached the Roarsterous Ruins, and gathered around the middle area was Axis, 7 Swarm-Morai, and a shackled Ikaros. The duo stood behind a large cliff that covered them from view.

"There she is!" Thyrnn whispered. Trivoc nodded. He saw one of the Morai climb up against Ikaros and, "mildly violated" her. Trivoc growled like a rabid Wolver; he wanted nothing more than to jump in there and start slashing. [No... I need to keep myself under control. I'm no use to anyone if I'm dead.] He thought. He then started formulating a plan of action. "I'm open to suggestions." He whispered to Thyrnn.
