1. How can I find 1* & 2* & 3* Orb of alchemy?
2. Have you ever try playing LD as Recon? How is it?
3. What is a difference of Coke and diet Coke if I ask you?
Ask a Striker anything
@U77654

@Thowardz
1. http://postimg.org/image/nsld4s7ll/
2. I used to play Recon back in the day when I was an Ash Tail and whatnot. Can't say I'm good at it. It's an interesting class though, requires a lot of skill as no cloak means no shield cancel and you can't use your shield to either dodge or tank damage.
3. Diet Coke is on diet and skips the fries and drinks diet Coke but steals some of Coke's fries later on anyways.
the game has been dead after the forge and snow storm what do you think of this
hwats your favourite place to heat four star equiptment
If you could add the sleep (good chance of strong) status to a single SK weapon, which would it be?
mine would be argent peacemaker
What about my poor pepperbox ?:( Fire + sleep, those drugs must be damn good.
Would you rather have a Zess-T Dynamite or a Jelly Ultra?
Which of the Drivers suits a striker the best? What about a Skolver Clone?
A Striker doesn't use alchemers. A Skolver clone should use Storm Driver for the shock.
1. Should I pick pulsar for shock? Or pick Punchgun for damage?
2. What will happen if Sleep theam monster exist?
1. You mean Magnus, no? Magnus line guns are pretty badass but I fear Pulsars are just overall better.
2. Then I'd go to bed.
You mentioned that you were playing as a Recon with your Ash Tail set. But does Recon cloak hide Ash Tail's aura? People may easily track you. What about Triglav's snow aura? (that was a bit off-topic)
What do you think about Heart pendants? Do you think that they're unbalanced (even if you use them)?
Is Striker a useful class without using Pendants? I've killed Vog Cub clones with one DA combo (+Med damage bonus from gear) while being recon...
If you really use only swords, what do you do when you encounter Defender/Recon planting haze bombs around a Capture point?
"because being rude sounds pretty cool, dude" <- Do you attack sitting/unarmed people?
The only trace of recons I've seen is their footsteps and I feel like a terrible person when I track them and beat the feces out of them. I believe Triglav is hidden too.
Heart Pendants are one of the biggest reasons LD is so imbalanced. Being a Striker without pendants would require an immense amount of skill and nobody is that good because we're all pay to win trinket dependent scrubs. I'd like to add that I recently started using double pentas for GLD and I've beaten my personal best in damage at least once since and I barely ever get below 10k damage in a game where I play seriously and don't screw up an awful lot.
Charge Brandishes, of course. You'll have an easy time inflicting damage on people who charge bombs as charging removes invinciframes, which means that Brandishes get a good amount of knockback unless we're talking Glacius or Voltedge and it inflicts its status. Voltedge actually has the potential do multiple charge hits as the shock it can inflict removes invinciframes as well.
I don't attack sitting people. I join them for tea. I naturally attack unarmed people because they still pose a threat to my team by capturing points and you know me, I'm a generic striker. I just have to inflict damage!
How in the world is this thread still going? Kraky, you needs to calm down.
I have been playing SK for a year now, (21 day in game time) and I have build myself an impressive arsenal.
sword: CIV, Glacius and Acheron
Gun: Sentenza, Vliance, Blitz and Trollaris
Bomb: Shivermist
Shield: Dread skelly, Grey owlite and Aegis
Armorset (complete): Valkyrie set, Volcanic demo set and Mercurial set, solid colbalt set
Other pieces of Armors: Dragon scale helm, divine veil, sunset steton, Shadow sun slicker and Armor of the fallen
Any idea on what stuff I should get next? I don't really like getting any wolver or SL gears as they are way too mainstream. So yeah, what should I get next?
@Admiral Crunch
I DON'T KNOW I'M NOT MAKING IT GO ON IT JUST GOES ON PLEASE MAKE IT STOP ;_;
@Midnight DJ
Chaos Set. You might want a piercing sword, some better bombs like DBB, DR, and VV, as well as a better piercing shield. I suggest BTS but you could go Ironmight if you don't want it. Don't forget Swiftstrike, either.
I do notice that you seem to favour guns over other kinds of weapons. You should have a look at Alchemers as well.
If a Striker class was forced to use only one alchemer in FSC, which one would it be?
If a Striker class was forced to use a single antigua, would it be the AP, Sentenza, or the 3* Antigua?
Would the Vog Cub Set work with a Barbarous Shield thingy and a FF? I haven't played for a long time (Forge? Battle sprites? Wth?) and, as a result of that, I'm only, what, 2 stars? I'm going to need some help on this...
@U77654
Antigua, of course. AP and Sentenza aren't Antiguas, they're APs and Sentenzas.
@Fire Wrath
That is a pretty solid set but you will want another weapon to deal with Slime and Constructs. I recommend a Brandish (or DA if you must) so that you can clear Firestorm Citadel faster. Alternatively, you could get a gun as a side-arm. In that case, I'd recommend Valiance, an elemental Alchemer, or why not Blitz Needle if you want to farm Vana. Keep in mind that Blitz Needle doesn't help much against Slime or Constructs either, though.
Which would a Striker class and a Striker clone use more: Achreon or the new poison Achreon?
Acheron for both. It's OP, unlike the Obsidian variant. It should be noted that the poison could be really useful for arenas because of healers, though.
1. Would I be a striker if I had a blazebrand, grand flourish, (soon to be obsidian edge) silent nightblade, (not so soon to be full snarby) full ash tail and a bts?
2. My rather bomb loving sword hating friend persists to try to get me to dump my beloved full ash tail (with tail) and get full chaos even though I'm aimed for snarbolax gear. Which is more expensive?
3. My playstyle in this and most other games is what I have dubbed "suicidal striker" where I rush in, guns blazing (or swords flailing) beat the general crap out of everything and get very hurt in the process. Any tips on reducing the latter?
#Strikerlyfe
1. Yes, almost. You should note that Acheron is more powerful than Obsidian Edge, although Obsidian Edge is a very good alternative for those who wish to cooperate with their friends. I can't quite recommend getting full Snarbolax as your first 5* set unless you can do the Shadow Lair rather soon as your goal should be to pass the 5* Hall of Heroes, which is easier to do with the recipes that are provided there. Although a real generic striker uses a Swiftstrike Buckler like our lord and saviour Echo, getting a BTS to get through the Hall of Heroes is not a bad idea. I do recommend that you get a Swiftstrike and learn how to work with it after getting BTS, though.
2. If you don't have any guns or bombs, the hybrid aspects of Chaos shouldn't be too tempting. What you do have, however, is two Brandishes. These benefit immensely from Charge Time Reduction. Getting Chaos would definitely be worth it.
Regarding the cost, that's rather simple. Going into a full Shadow Lair party where all members of the group pay equally costs 450 E per person. If the energy price is 7500 CR for 100 E, it will cost you 4.5*7500, which is 33750. If you're running with a friend who has no interest in the material, they are hopefully kind enough to give you the Nightmare Mane for free. If not, you will have to purchase it yourself. It shouldn't cost more than 15k. That adds up to an end cost of about 48750 CR. It's a tad cheaper than the two recipes for Chaos that cost 25k each, 50k in total. So yeah, it's a 1250 CR difference.
3. Learn to shield cancel well, don't rush into crowds you can't handle, put your dash to use. If you have a Drakon, you can use the barrier to increase your defence by 75% and inflict fire and damage at the same time. With a Seraphynx, you can pop the aura to be able to go nuts for just a few seconds. It can be very useful if done well. If you get Chaos and upgrade your Brandishes to 5*, you will find that you can use the charge pretty constnatly and combine sick offense with great defence.
#IDidntChooseTheStrikerLifeTheStrikerLifeChoseMe
1. I am a crazy person so almost is good enuf. I also got a swiftstrike sometime after I got a bts and use it now and again. I also find the cutter line to be too weak for me.
2. Also keep in mind that I don't even have magic gear, thus costing much much more.
3. Shield cancelling is a pain, and really only good for taking out individual enemies imo.
4. Any tips on how to deal with a swarm (3-4) greavers that are all onto you with a grand flourish/dtb (flourish is preferred as it has vs fiend low that gets boosted to ultra with gear)?
#hashtag
Should I make the Sentenza for slightly extra damage or the new Obsidian Sentenza for the swag points and poison?
@Iamwierd
2. Then it will cost even more. Keep what I said about Brandishes in mind, though. You will want Chaos sooner or later.
3 and 4. If you'd learn how to shield cancel well, you'd kill Greavers like a pro. The first swing is so wide that it's one of the best tools a swordsman has for dealing with crowds, especially Greavers that are considered some of the hardest enemies in the game.
@U77654
Get the Obsidian Carbine. The damage bonus isn't worth as much as the poison.
hey Krakob,
when do u usually play LD?
I want to fight you, beat you and insult you!
MUHAHAHAHA!!! >:D
I got Hallow Wings from my second Hallow Box. What was your best find in a box?
1. I'm a Striker-in-Training (don't really consider myself an elite since I'm only a Defender), and I am horrible at dodging. Are there any tips you can give that can help?
2. Did you train under Echo himself, some other teacher, or are you self-taught? I'm sort of mixed Echo apprentice/self-taught.
3. Which cutter line would be more useful, or should I get both?
4. Am I still a Striker if I use other sword types, like... wait, nevermind. The only non-Striker class weapons I have are the Ascended Calibur and Sealed Sword.
5. Is it reasonable to have a Barbarous Thorn Shield?
6. I have a shock low UV on my Ash Tail Coat. Should I apply it to a Skolver Coat or a Vog Cub coat?
7. I'm assuming it's mandatory for us to have a Swiftstrike Buckler.
8. Where do you normally farm for gold other than FSC?
That's all my questions for now.
Is officially undead. No necromancy required.
@U77654
Hallow Dapper Combo? Haven't had an awful lot of luck with them in the end.
@Sonosuke
1. Shield cancelling will help you regain your ability to move faster. Knowing when to cancel a combo is vital, too. Know how well your interruption works and get familiar with the enemy AI.
2. I'm self taught.
3. DVS is more general purpose, WHB is quite the niche sword.
4. Neverminded!
5. Rather.
6. Shock low won't really do much. Don't base your choice on that. A real MLG l33t pro striker uses Skolver but Vog is more defensive and overall more suitable for Clockwork runs.
7. Yes. Don't see it as a requirement though. See it as a blessing!
8. Operation: Crimson Hammer.
@Skold The Drac
Not quite sure what you mean but okay.
Whats yer best find in a treasure box? Do I win with a crown of the fallen?
A Vile Striker. No, someone who has fallen has already lost.
Why not a knife? I haven't used him yet on my 69th attempt to eat canned pineapples. Or maybe... my toothpick? Please help.
Krakob I just got a Hallow Side Blade. What other good find did you get from a Hallow Box?
At what clockwork terminal does Basil sell a Kilowatt Pulsar?
How big of a post with empty space can you make?
...that's mine. How big is your empty space?
