Solutions to Moonstone and Valestone and Arcade

MOONSTONE VALESTONE

I have 2 ideas for this.

NUMBER ONE: SPRITES

Instead of willy nilly coming up with a new sprite, lets take a look at all 5 minerals.

Minerals with sprites already assigned:

Crimsonite:
A fabled mineral of a fiery, red color said to contain the passion, anger and strength of the life surrounding it.

Power food, strength, fiery, Drakon.

Red shards, aka crimsonite, are dropped by Fiends, Beasts, and Gremlins. Beasts look similar to Drakon.

Red shards craft Fire weapons. Drakon deals Fire.

Add Replayability/Exploration into the Arcade

Currently the Arcade is quite dull. It's far more entertaining than FSC 24/7, but it's still boring to play after you discover all the scenarios/level types. To add some replayability/exploration back into the clockworks, here are a few suggestions:

Unarmed combat

Why not add boxing to the game? Or martial arts of some sort. I mean, it is possible to enter the clockworks completely unarmed.

I have two ideas for this potential method of damage.

1. Certain armor, helmets, shields, or sprites can provide perks or bonuses for unarmed damage.

Missions that should end on depth 28:

Every single danger mission should have its treasure room on D28. These are all harder than FSC and at least on par with Dreams and Nightmares. There is absolutely no reason for them to not be farmable in this way, even if once per day.

The gauntlet = at least as hard as FSC

Make battlepods not boring and awful

Rundown of what I like to do in Spiral Knight:
Fight enemies
Deal damage
Receive wealth

Rundown of what I don't like to do in Spiral Knights:
Backtrack through levels
Run down long pathways
Wait for traps
Wait for animations to finish
Wait for enemies to pop up
Wait for team members

Rundown of what the big iron fight, and every other battle pod "fight" entails:
Waiting for 10 minutes watching the battle pod hit everything in the room that isn't you

Buff the Tortofists

I've recently been playing a lot with the Tortofists, they are incredibly fun to use... except for one small thing

Let's change the system of elite mode.

So, instead of our current system, the devs should make each level one depth deeper, like in danger rooms.
Deeper depths and danger rooms already have more loot and higher difficulty, so it is easier to impliment this system than implimenting elite mode.

So, how is this idea of mine?

Snipe event

The new prize box - and this - have proven that WE NEED MORE SNIPES.

Occasionally in the Clockworks, the player could find a Tranquil Snipe Garden-like room, except... Devilites.

Let players test items before they invest.

So to begin with, a lot of players have expressed interest in sharing items, renting them from others, borrowing bound gear, things of that sort and I've been reading them for a few years now and have something to say on the issue-

In Spiral Knights, gear is a HUGE investment and knowing what you're getting into without having to buy it would really help out.

So here's what I'm proposing-

1. Basil will offer a trial version of the recipes that he sells, free of charge.

2. The trial weapon/armor expires after a certain amount of time, say, 1 day.

Renting items between players

I think it would be nice if there was a way players can rent equipment to other players.

Benefits:
1. People can try out various high level weapons without having to fully commit to crafting one.
2. It will open a new market for people to rent out high level gear instead of trying to flip them for profit
3. The game can collect a flat fee for every rental transaction.

How it might work:
