But, hey, I guess D-07 (and, to an extent, Mark30-Longshot) used up all the bad luck so SEE-4 could land that exploditacular Charge Attack! 93 total damage, plus three Catalyzer Charges, one of which was dropped, but one damaged its target and hit another target's shield. I think maybe instead of giving extra service packs in the future. We should give each machinauts passive abilities, perks that players can add to upgrade their machinaut.
Example:
Upgrades for KV-103 where it picks one out of the three perks avilable
-Adaptive system casing (give KV-103 25% extra health based on its health bonus, so that gives it 100 extra health with full hefty set)
Prof. Gerallax foresaw the day when KV-103's armour will become obsolete due to the advancement in anti armour technology, so he made sure that when the day comes, KV-103 inner AI pods and other system can quickly adapt to the new weight and dimensions of the new armour.
-Immortality AI protocol (when KV-103 receives an attack that is more than 50% of its health, that damage is reduced to by half)
Mind is a powerful thing, and KV-103's powerful self aware AI is just that. If KV-103 think that it can survive the blow strong enough, then it can... the Fallen King's iron will can serve as their own layer of armour...
-Regenerative Bio-steel (KV-103 regain 3 points of health per each combat turn if it is not damaged during that turn)
First used by the Morai assualt recons during the Morai war, these strange bio organic metals have been spreading through out the star ever since. One piece of it ended up in an astriod crashed outside prof. Gerallax's home.
Proposal for DSN-001's perks
-Hellfire missile battery (whenever DSN-001 performs a missile/projectile charge attack, the attack gains two extra projectiles)
Designed to be used by the J-35 'landcaster' class heavy machinauts, this auxilliary missile pack is often armed on lighter machinauts to give them a boost in firepower. Some lighter machinauts often get knowed out by the irritating recoil of the missiles.
-Rapid reaction AI protocol (DSN-001 instantly pull up the shield to defend as soon as it ends its attack on any given turn)
There is a saying amonst the medium and light weight machinauts: after shooting, always pull up your shield, lest you be rolled under by a heavy or an ultra heavy machinaut.
Proposal for D-07's perks
-Small profile (whenever ditto comes to face an enemy with twice or more its base health (200 or more), its reflex is increased by 5)

-Ultra capacitor (for the first five turns of any combat, ditto cannot be hit by projectile attacks of any form, melee attack however still can)
Ultra capacitors were often used by commando machinauts to overcharge their system in an attempt to race through enemy line of fire to get in close and personal, with that been said, the capacitor doesn't last forever and many machinauts died thinking they are invincible.

Holstering its gun, SEE-4 says, "And they left us a few samples! (the gel drops) How thoughtful! I hope these samples didn't get damaged in the explosions, or I'll have to kill those wizards when I see them!
"Now that I have these samples, I hope that this train would go faster. Or maybe it needs to go slower so it doesn't crash... But faster would mean more time to study this stuff...and slower would mean more sureness...Science says....neither. But science can always be wrong, because..." (( That does sound cool, to have beyond stat increases, but keep in mind that it sounds pretty involved because you'd have unique abilities per person, and Doc would have to keep track of all these abilities. What if the players decided what these abilities could be, and then Doc could balance them?
Oh, that's the other problem: Some of these changes might be quite unbalanced. Besides, we already have plenty of weapons which are unique in their own way... *shrugs*

Upon leaving, an Alchemy Machine with a Flawed Orb Vend-O-Mat attached is easily noticeable, but most prominent is a control terminal. Upon examination, the terminal has a text-based message from one "AgentH": "Please respond when you arrive. Type what the 'H' in my name stands for so I know it's you."
Other than this, a small path leads into a seemingly featureless wall.
