If y'all check in here every so often, you know I have a knack of existing in here. Since the news that Grey Havens has completed back-end work, that means there's potential for a lot of the suggestions made over the years to start becoming more of a reality. I decided to go back on some of my old suggestions and compile them up into a list of things that I'd like to see in the future.
Some of these are a pipe-dream, others are actually very important and intriguing changes that would update how new and old players interact with the game.

GAMEPLAY
These are suggestions that will increase the playability of Spiral Knights through enhancing the basic gameplay experience, be that through new items and mechanics, or revisiting old ones but in more places.
Music Locations
This is a pretty simple one to start off with. I'd love to see the music in the game played in more places, such as "Crash Site" played in the "Breaking in the Recruits" mission after the players are ambushed.
More examples can be found by clicking on the "Music Locations" title - this will take you to the original suggestion. A demo is also included in a comment further down at that link.
Shield Update
Updates to shields to include various new shield classes. Includes the parrying shield, which will perform a melee attack in front of the knight upon being hit, the mirror shield, which will fire a projectile in front of the knight upon being hit, the reactive shield, which will create an explosion upon being broken, and more.
Specifics and additional shield classes can be found by clicking on the "Shield Update" title.
Medical Gear
Adds three new medical-inspired gear pieces to the game: Oversized Syringe, Defibrillator, and a vitasuit overhaul. Oversized Syringe would act as a new piercing sword that's focused more on single target combat while inflicting status, defibrillator would act as an elemental cutter side-grade with an ensured status mist on charge attack, and vitasuits would upgrade from other vitasuits, gain additional health boosts, and poison resistance.
Additional information on how these weapons perform can be found by clicking on the "Medical Gear" title.
Heat Update
Adds several new uses for heat, primarily usage to allow players to revive other players using heat, turning it into a dungeon currency (and adding vendors for it in the clockwork checkpoints), forging anywhere in a level, and special dungeon boosts.
You can read into the specifics on the matter by clicking on the "Heat Update" title above.
Endless Core Arena
Allows players to enter the core at the end of an arcade run so long as a member in the party is rank "10-3" or higher. Upon entering the arena, players would fight through 2 arenas with standard enemies (rarely a swarm enemy can spawn in), and then a third arena that is primarily swarm enemies, followed by around 18 boxes in total for the arena. The next depth would be a ??? depth, and has a 50% chance of being another arena, 30% chance to be a treasure vault, a 10% chance to be an unknown passage, and a 10% chance to be a "Step Beyond" level (filler levels from DaN).
You can read the discussion and other specifics on this suggestion by clicking on the "Endless Core Arena" title above.
Luck-Themed Battle Sprite
A battle sprite that is based around RNG. They would have a new ability that would latch onto enemies and increase their material drop rate + special drop rates, a status refreshing ability (randomly refreshes a status 5 times over the course of 5 seconds), and a "ring of fire" that enchants enemies to drop damage up, speed up, and defense up orbs.
You can read the discussion and more details on the sprite by clicking on the "Luck-Themed Battle Sprite" title above.
Curse revamp + Alt curse status
Revamps the curse status to be a more dynamic status, directly related to the "curse eye" symbol above the player's head which indicates if the weapon will hurt the player or not, with a new "chance to take damage" function added. A second status called "drain" would be added as well that works like an inverse curse where you take damage when you move rather than when you attack.
You can read the entire description in full detail by clicking on the "Curse revamp + Alt curse status" title above.

BALANCE
These are suggestions for weapons, events, or other imbalances that show up in Spiral Knights. Anything related to a minigame, such as Lockdown, will be under the "minigame" section.
Kataclysmic Confrontation Rebalance
Make this event more engaging by allowing players to trade in ancient page tokens for a book of dark rituals. Update the book of dark rituals to give the book user 6 wicked whiskers in total, make the black kat hat upgradable to black kat cowl, and remove the black kat cowl as a reward for using the book of dark rituals.
Several more resolutions are available in the link above.
Mixmaster and Orbitgun balancing
The mixmaster and orbitgun style of weapons, from a gameplay standpoint, are just plain strange. A lot of the issues with the gun come from how it's programmed, and a few small things (such as making the "projectile entity" tagged as a "projectile") would make the gun act more like a gun instead of a weird invisible barrier-firing cannon thing that is way too powerful.
Specifics on this can be found by clicking on the "Mixmaster and Orbitgun balancing" link just above.
Revamp of Difficulty Options
Difficulty levels don't matter much, and that's not a very good balance. This suggestion tackles the imbalance in rarities and also works to provide new challenges in the elite difficulty to make "advanced" the default mode it was supposed to be.
Details on the challenges in elite along with rewards can be found by clicking the "Revamp of Difficulty Options" link above.

COSMETIC
This is for suggestions related to cosmetic or visuals in the game. This can range from animations to new cosmetic gear pieces.
Multi-slot Accessories
Adjust certain accessory slots to be able to be used in multiple areas. For example, a rose and a flower both take up the same spot, but one is a helmet top and one is a helmet side. This would allow for greater accessory customization while still limiting the total amount of accessories on a player.
While it is out of date, recommended categories for most accessories can be found by clicking on the "Multi-slot Accessories" title.
Surprise Token
A new, unique token variant that can be exchanged for one of the annual "Surprise Boxes". Tokens can be acquired in a variety of ways, ranging from supply depot sales, featured auctions, and exchanging other tokens (grim, forge, primal) at high rates.
Full details on the matter can be found by clicking the "Surprise Token" link above.

MINIGAME
This is for suggestions related to minigames within Spiral Knights. Many of these will be PvP related, however other challenge modes may be included.
Monster Mounts
A PvP minigame where players ride atop various monsters with unique attack, defense, and dash abilities. These abilities will mimic that of the monster being ridden, however the knight riding atop the monster will be the one doing the attacking.
Balancing and more details can be found by clicking on the Monster Mounts link.
Ultimate PvP
A suggestion for enhanced versions of the current PvP games that make them more ridiculous but in doing so will allow for a closer skill gap. Ultimate Blast network would allow players to take two hits before going down, new health restoration and invincibility powerups, players starting with at level 5 for each powerup, and more. Ultimate Lockdown would double gear, base, and class health, double non-health class buffs/debuffs, allow gear-restricted battle sprites, and more.
All changes to these modes in more detail can be found by clicking on the "Ultimate PvP" link above.
Return of Super Brawl
Return of Super Brawl, but with a twist. This would be a rotational event much like the Slime Casino and Hazardous Hardcore mode. Various themes would be chosen, and player gear would be granted instead of bringing their own gear into the event. New themes could be added at any time to allow more interesting variations.
Several themes along with other rules can be found by clicking on the "Return of Super Brawl" title link above.
Revamp of Lockdown (Tourney, Classic, Super Lockdown)
A revamp to the entirety of Lockdown, introducing new passive and active abilities (such as unique shield bashes per class), and two new Lockdown game modes which create a competitive environment for some folks, and a ridiculous over-the-top environment for others.
All details can be found by clicking the "Revamp of Lockdown" link above.
Coliseum Boss Battles
A new minigame where a team of lower geared players are pitted against 1-2 higher geared players in an objective-based battle. The player "bosses" would have unique abilities and loadouts. The lower geared player team would have 5 pre-determined classes to choose from and 1 custom loadout that can use 1* or lower gear. The non-boss players would have the objective to kill the boss, while the boss's objective is to reach the other team's base via a series of objectives.
All details can be found by opening the "Coliseum Boss Battles" link above (note, it is long, but quite detailed).
Outlive Minigame
A simple minigame where players are stripped of weapons and trinkets, and forced to use their shields, armors, and battle sprites to survive a 3 minute barrage of projectiles and other enemy attacks. As the time passes, more hazards begin to show up, and the goal is to be the last player standing.
Discussion and a full description on the gamemode can be found by clicking on the "Outlive Minigame" link above.

OTHER
This is for suggestions made that do not fit into any of the other categories. Most of these are great in theory, but would need a fair amount of work to make fit in properly.
Progressive Level Editor
This is a level editor that would slowly unlock more and more customization options as time goes on. Players start with creating levels from current assets, building their own clockwork tunnel level using the puzzle pieces in play. As they make more levels and are playtested by others, they unlock more options, ranging from statuses, more level themes (ie, wolver dens, deconstruction zone), and finally tile customization and "level sets". Short term and long term rewards are available, with players gaining the ability to place powerful event monsters into their levels after unlocking every option.
A community arcade gate would exist and be the only place customized levels would be active. Levels could be rated by players, and the higher these are rated, the more likely they could actually be implemented into the standard gates as levels.
Item Drop Weekend event
A limited time event that would increase item drops in the arcade, along with a few other changes that allow for better rewards (such as higher chances at red loot boxes, energy gates being only 1 energy to open, etc).
All changes for this mode can be found by clicking on the "Item Drop Weekend event" title above.
Full Game DLC + Subscription Option
This is another option for paying for the game outside of energy and promotional boxes. Players could purchase the "Full Game" DLC unlock one weapon slot and trinket slot permanently along with a heat amplifer and krogmo coin booster effect on top of unlocking Operation: Crimson Hammer and any future gameplay DLCs added to the game. An additional monthly (actually 30-day period) subscription model would also be in play with multiple amounts, all giving energy, unlocking one weapon and trinket slot for the duration, and some other goodies.
This would allow for an additional revenue source for the game and gives long-time players a "permanent slot upgrade" that is always being asked for.
You can read up on the reasonings and more details by clicking on the "Full Game DLC + Subscription Option" title above.
Quickplay Option
A fairly simple suggestion. Add a button that a player can push that drops them into any run that is currently open on their current selected server. This allows users to join arcade runs at any depth and difficulty, along with join in on older missions that may not show up in their party finder if they're at the end of the rank missions.
That's pretty much the whole suggestion, but if you want to view the original post you can click on the "Quickplay Option" link above.

Wew, that's all of 'em for now. I'll periodically update this list as I come across more of my older suggestions or are reminded of them. Figured some of these might be good to have in place here
(EDIT 8/1/2018 - added Gameplay\Endless Core Arena suggestion)
(EDIT 12/7/2018 - added Gameplay\Luck-Themed Battle Sprite suggestion)
(EDIT 12/15/2018 - added Minigame\Coliseum Boss Battles + Outlive suggestions)
(EDIT 2/6/2019 - added Gameplay\Curse revamp + Alt curse status suggestion and fixed the Shield Update page jump link)
(EDIT 4/17/2019 - added Balance\Revamp of Difficulty Options suggestion)
(EDIT 4/18/2019 - added Other\Quickplay Options suggestion)
You need to keep in mind that it gives you what is the arguably the best armor in the game.
Tbh, id rather have this extremely big grindwall for the black kat items rather than them being easy to obtain.
