"[...] where he was buried."
Wait, what? When? How? O_o
10 things you didn't know about Spiral Knights
Did anyone noticed in the login screen, where it shows cradle...thers a white planet beside it?
Is it cradle moon? or other planet?
And the polar customes description siad knights stationed in the north and south poles.................
So, does cradle has other'countries' or its just have one big piece of land where haven is on..............
when Nick posted there the initial screen was different and polar costumes didn't exist.
and not everyone sees polar costumes everyday.
@Dahall
Okay, I'll humor you.
You cannot bury jelly. His core, mustache, pipe, and toupee have all been stored IN the statue.
Im not on a lot but i think it is in haven, probably ON the auctionhouse there are a lot of signs, pictures and other things on it, its crowded and who doesnt check the auctionhouse everyday?
Beside that, i keep wondering why there are levels in the clockworks that are flying islands with a lot of sun....
Doesnt really make sense as it is underground (there is not a hole where sun gets trough) and i guess it arent the lanterns on the roof XD
Okay, I am beginning to think that the GMs need to scrub this thread, or at least lock it. EVERYONE LOVES TO POST ON IT.
@ Mikeykr
Auction House didn't exist at the time.
I have a theory about the cradle. It’s a little hard to explain why.
Cradle once was a place of magic. There were medieval knights, castles, fairies and other magical beings. There was an entity that took care of the world (The core). The core was very fragile, thus cradle were built around it in a way to protect it, so it wouldn’t be tainted by the outer world. Whoever was responsible to protect The Core, betrayed him, and imprisoned him inside. The world was destroyed. All consumed.
Now, either this traitor wants to release the core to taint him, maybe to take his powers, or wants to prevent anyone to ever release him.
All you see in the SK game is this one traitor arranging stuff to make it happen.
He might be gathering armies from other worlds to protect the core, or trying to find someone who can break it. This is the reason Skylark was shot: either to make them chase the core, or in an attempt to prevent them to land in Cradle.
For some time I thought whatever is inside the core was really bad, and when the knights would open it, a great danger would fall over cradle. However, now I think, for the name “Cradle” and other stuff I read, that is really made to protect something.
People say there were negotiations with gremlins, I don’t think so. They just attack on sight.
Anyway, since we are talking about mystery stuff:
I always thought the haven was at some point part of the clockworks, or something similar, because of stone turrets and stuff. Maybe the gremlins were the first ones to live there and were driven out by the strangers, rsrs.
I want to know what sword is this.
So far i've only seen one black snipe.
Also what are the strange signals on the purple roof?
The colors of the tents represent the elements and stats, like yellow waves for stun, orange tents for fire, crimson for curse, and so on.
What are these?
Log in and off to see clearer.
And then, of course, what about the golden ring?
Why does Bosco holds a yellow crystal?
What is the relation between the Trojans and the spiral armors, like the gatekeeper’s.
You see they have crystals in their backs, and that’s the only place you can hit them. There are more than one type of Trojan, all with different crystal colors.
The first recon module says “The Clockworks are a manufactured place, perhaps the worlds they contain are harvested from the terrain above.”
Well, we only see a little piece of cradle, with is haven. Maybe we can get to see the rest of cradle, eventually, and new towns.
Actually, I poked about in the game files and that sword isn't a new kind of sword.
It's a Troika with the top broken off.
LOOK AT TE NICK'S IMAGE (DON'T LOOK AT THE ADMIN TEXT)...THEN GO TO HAVEN FOUNTAN,NEAR CORT,AND GO DOWN-LEFT NEAR WARNEL...ENTER IN THAT LITTLE GARDEN (NEAR WARNEL) AND LOOK AT THE STATUE.... HERE'S THE #10 SECRET
That's not Nick's statue, someone just took him out of the fridge for too long and he solidified.
From the recon Modules, the last one after FSC, we see that it says the shadows became alive. This really reminds me of the Giant Black Kats in the Owlite castles we hate so much. Maybe the real monster behind this core are using the power of undead to his advantage, making kats into ghosts, cursing what might have been other knights into slags and mind-controlling guardians to become trojans. I personally say the real monster that dwells inside the core is a HUGE kat that have tons of Giant Kat guardians that does both fire and freeze status damage (somehow...) .
The water isn't a mystery btw, there's also water in JK at depth 14.
What do you guys say?
Why don't you make the prototype level playable for a while like part of the anniversery of spiral knights and it could have all the rare items that everyone needs an if their lucky the tails tails or alchemy orbs that grow into others as you go deeper into the prototype level wouldn't that be cool =D
I've lost count of how many times this thread has been necroed by now.
817 replies. Let's assume every other post is someone necroing it and every other post is someone calling the necro out. 408.5 necros, in other words.
Believe me or not, but it was necroed only 163 times
Don't ask how i know
The secret that we see everyday.
4 yellow flowers laid down in the little garden in Haven. These represent 4 years of Nick's stay at SK. That's also why his statue is placed there... he planned to leave in the first place... just a hypothesis.
The group of 3 yellow flowers is added for decor (or not?)
I dunno about the blue flowers... too hard for me to decode.
itsmean, remember when this post was first made. the statue wasn't always there.
The statue doesn't mean anything. Think of it as a milestone of Nick's leave.
If it's everyday then it's either in Haven, Clockworks or Opening (obviously). As stated above the opening originally there were no rank missions or prestige (or DLC obv) so Arcade is the only place a secret could be stored. Lastly Haven, remembering that AH, sprite alchemy machines and Nick's statue are all recent (in comparison to this ancient thread).
Arcade - Cannot be anything Ce related as this is no longer in the game. They wouldn't have took something out before the players realised it was there after telling them to look for it, that's too evil (although...the troll inside is telling me it'd be perfect if they have).
- Cannot be boss related or mini related (or rarity related ofc).
- It could be related to the cycling of levels.
Haven - Fountain is a popular topic of conversation and for good reason (it's very big).
- Strangers are shady as hell.
- Sprites are everywhere.
- The colour systems are unlikely to be important. He said players see it everyday, but who really sees the colour of houses when playing a game (outside of deliberately looking at it).
- Nice areas to look at would be the areas off map. It would be pretty easy to hide something there while keeping it in plain sight.
Another option is that "every day" is nothing more than a hint. This would be hilarious.
Other key word to take notice of, in my opinion, is "Curious!" That word just looks dodgy to me.
So my conclusion is...
you can go find it yourselves. >:D Trolls ftw.
I suddenly get the feeling #10 involves the old UI.
Its already solved, pixeljoy made 2 posts, one was correct
The only remaining mystery is why people don't look know that #10 has been answered already.
Can someone say what comment number it is because I can't seem to find it now
It was something like the clockworks being made if columns with biospheres stuck into shelves, but both comments were similar so whatever
Learn to use Google and there are no limits to what you can learn
Anyway, it looks like Pixeljoy was close but not quite there, I gues..?
Nick states that "players see it everyday", but he doesn't say all players see it everyday. It might refer to something in Haven...
I'm starting to find this thread hilarious...(read post #498 and #499):
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/20773?page=9#comment-584944
Soooo...I searched through the entire thread, and nobody from the SK team ever confirmed that #10 was found.
So I guess people will keep "necro-ing" this thread and making weird new theories, forgetting when this thread was made, or that Nick left...
I'm going crazy over this #10 thing myself, so after more than 2 YEARS and more than 800 POSTS, will anyone just explain what the secret is already!?!?
(or has it been deleted forever!? D:)
~Arylide
This thread was made so long ago, that finding this secret is almost impossible. If you're working on theories please note that this thread was made in 08/13/2011, which means a lot of stuff that is "normal" and that you see "every day" didn't exist (ready room, log in screen, etc.)
And no, pixeljoy didn't find it, link in my comment ^above^ (#832).
~Arylide
Meh, he was correct, but it wasn't the secret everyone's looking for, derp
@aryl, who are you responding to in 834? You just seemed to have repeated 832 with no real reason to do it
There are two hypothetical theories to the number 10:
1. The logo
2. The loading screens (the bottom and top HUD part).
@Vohtarak, that was just because some people keep saying "It must be in the ready room!" or things like that, without noticing that most things were different, or didn't exist, back when the thread was made, I didn't mean to repeat that post.
~Arylide
i am new to teh foorims can anyone who is not a smart[cog] tell me wot is #10?
:B
He said "players see it everyDAY"
Could it be that there is no night on Cradle/Haven? As far as I know the only nighttime level is Starlight Cradle.
Gloaming wildwoods, Lichen lairs, I think its non status haunted passages, candlestick keep, dark harvest haven, in cold blood:lizard lounge, those are all pretty much night levels
But I have never seen a nighttime Haven. The only night on the surface of Cradle is at the Rescue Camp, in Haven it always seems to be day.
No need to go all "HL3 CONFIRMED" on this here. Haven has been hit by night, usually during the Halloween event.
All in all it's probably something minor. Maybe something to do with the stranger who greets you in Haven. Don't think it's the giant elevator we spawn in Haven on though.
Fangel: Nick said it's not something like "That bush looks like a Gremlin! It's much bigger than that. But if you find it, you'll be absolutely surprised."
http://media.spiralknights.com/v/20141222103755/images/spiralknights_cor...
:? Core's open in this it looks like. From the bottom of the website (dunno how recent that is tho so could mean nothing) but if its been there for a while then forums posters would see it often and people just going to the SK website could see it. It says game secrets so something off the website probably isn't what is sought but whatever.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before. If so plz ignore. Sorry for possibly sparking more theory trains or getting hopes up that the core was open ingame.

Did a simple contrast editing and what is this? Obviously, it's coming out of the core, but what is it?
It looks like it's an elevator going down the core, maybe from the lobby at the end of the arcade?
that's sounds like the knight and battle sprite fusion I want to happen!!!!
I made a suggestion of it under funnymon!!!
it can still happen right?
Cradle is one massive Tortodrone. Maybe I'm just high right now.
I wonder if #10 is the black liquid in the vial when you enter the garrison from the town square? Hmm...
Jmoor, dark harvest haven, the Halloween event, haven is definitely not in daytime then
If anyone respected Nick, they wouldn't be standing right in front of the statue and above where he was buried.
