I found a secret. it isn't #10 because it's in the ready room, which didn't exist, but still I felt like sharing it and this seems to be the right place to do so. Spiral knights play spiral knights. Don't believe me? go to the ready room and watch the monitors. After a few changes of the monitor, it will show the spiral knights log-in screen. Just something i noticed.
10 things you didn't know about Spiral Knights
At the time of the OP, there was:
No Garrison
No Lab
No Hall of Heroes
No Missions
No Customizable Guild Halls
No Arsenal Stations
PvP was brand new (9 days old) and only BN, no Lockdown
No Howlitzers or Polyps
No Candlestick Keep
No Loadouts
No Heart Trinkets
No Accesories
No Lockboxes
No Shadow Lairs
No Elevator Passes
No Featured Auctions
No Drones (Shankles/Wisps)
No Ready Room
No OCH
No Party Finder
No Black Kats
*looks back at list* Wow, a lot changed in one and a half years.
I count them differently, as those eye shapes were rampant before SL, and the Whitespace track existed back in april, as well as the wiki linking the core as the home of the Swarm, long before SLs were born.
No, there were Heart Trinkets. They were (and possibly still are) rare drops from Love Puppies and were so terribly valuable that Chris became a LD (k)nightmare with two 3* trinkets.
Question, if everything in the clockworks requires "energy" which supposedly comes from the core. Why are there large pipes that exist everywhere in the clockworks? Most of these pipes are steam related (note red valves when you break them on certain levels) and the elevators also sound like some sort of steam powered device, why is that? You would think that most of the devices in the clockworks would be driven by electrical energy not steam power. Its like cradle is one big steampunk planet.
"Energy" is not necessarily electrical. The core could be a gigantic furnace using CE as fuel to boil water to use as steam to move the clockworks, for all we know.
#10 Where did strangers come from or snipes? The final boss in the game is a mega energy godzilla sized snipe?

Vanaduke is a humanoid, similar to what race the Knights come from, if not the same, or an alternate dimension of.
Another thing i noticed that are pretty much everywhere in Haven are those particular spiral blocks that are just thrown about haphazardly. I mean they could just be for decoration but there to sporadic to be for that purpose. Theres no pattern to where they appear whether on a wall or on the floor. Its also an idea being that the name of the game is called "Spiral" knights. Why name a game with the word "spiral" when there is really no relation to any of the gameplay at all? Its deffinetly suspicious.
When I first played this game it gave me such a hardcore Deju vu over an old childhood game I use to play when I was 7 or 8, funny thing is it was published by the same publisher, Sega. When I did some research over spiral knights (recently) I discovered in fact they were also inspired by that game as well! Thank you Segabits and your amazing interview with the lead designer!
"Sb: When playing the game, it constantly reminded me of Phantasy Star Online. Is that a title the team has been influenced by?
NP: Phantasy Star Online is one of my favorite games, so yes I was very much inspired by it! I think PSO is still a very unique game to this day and I was always baffled that no one other than Sega ever tried to evolve it. Sure, there were a few games that were similar, but nothing to the scale of PSO. It was offering an MMO experience with real-time combat on a 28.8kbps modem back in 1999! Why is it that in 2011 with a broadband connection that most of my options for MMOs feature slow, simulated, stat-driven combat?
When I was given the opportunity to design our next game at Three Rings, I knew I wanted to do something that involved cooperative action and exploration like PSO. But I wanted to take it a step further and make the whole thing a real time experience. Thanks to some amazing net code, what you see in Spiral Knights is what you get- there are no hidden dice rolls happening behind the scenes to determine your fate. The only way to dodge a bullet is to move out of the way!
When we had the chance to work with Sega I couldn’t help but smile at the notion that the company that made PSO was going to publish our game that was clearly inspired by it. It was an honor!" - Segabits
For those people who have never experience Phantasy Star Online: Episode 1 and 2, forshame, it was a very good mmorpg created by sega and I'm pretty excited for Phantasy Star Online 2 coming out to the United States and Europe this year!! :D
Hided boxes in depth 27 Is one of FSC secrets . But something we see everyday , curious . We see login screen and our energy.

Shame that PSO2 is a terrible game and has been really dumbed down in comparison to PSO:BB. Can't really see it surviving in the western market, not without PvP and with all the terrible drop rates/massive punishments when upgrading equipment. That and terrible level design chained to a horrible random level generator.
It's basically a shallow WoW clone, just with action-orientated combat.
Maybe its the fact that Vanaduke somewhat resembles King Krogmo.
Or maybe it has something to do with the ready room. We see that everyday. Maybe the images on the monitors? You can make out the most of them, but some look really strange.
There was no ready room look at Klipik's comment here: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/20773?page=11#comment-660836
What we all see everyday is the waiting room when you log in
Or where we spawn when we press go to haven
I think this topic should be pinned, considering it's always being necro'd anyway
@Hexzyle
Here's you wall: http://stonewall.nist.gov/CONTENT/wall199c.jpg :P
#10... snipes, snipes, snipes
We see it everyday. Well, back then, the typical forumer would have reached Haven. You see Snipes in the loading screen. I also didn't mention that they're everywhere in Haven. What's the secret? Well, if you stand in in front of a snipe, they'll halt. Instead, they'll go back. This way you can nudge the snipes into one area if you use teamwork. /pat /hug /hurray I did it!
Maybe it's something in the Log-in Screen?
Or something in the Back-Ground of Levels.
Something everyone sees, so it may be in the Mission Room.
so cause all how try to find it didn't read all posts cause on 1 of the first 7 sites nick already said what it is! learn to read... and honestly all who post things like shadow lair or ready room are just stupid cause then this thread was opend where was no missions,no ready room,no shadow lair or the things like
klipik said!
go and search for the result nick said yes to 1 player over 1 year ago... so top posting in this >.< you all failed hard
well ok it's not in this thread ,but i knowed i saw it already that nick posted it ... you missed it... well i know it was anything with a clockwerk level... that you see if you go down or maybe a gremlin that you can see in the background(in some levesl) duno one of the 2
if you ask what with clockwerk levels ... i honestly can't explain it 1 player posted pictures... and said what the secret was...
@Thepsychecker Don't go hating on people, chill and relax, chillax. Become a hippie, smell the flowers, dance in some tall grass...
Anyway the hidden Gremlins in Sky Islands Daytime-style worlds aren't the secret. Not everyone goes to Day Sky Islands daily you know.
Plus, the hidden Gremlins were shown on an Animation on Display SK event. Doubt they would spoil something like that.
Could it be the fact that the southern room in Haven Town Square (the area where many spawn) is a giant elevator?
The entrance to Haven didn't have the generators set up when this thread was made.
When I read this I thought "I bet I know most of them"
I was horribly wrong. D:
But No.10 I'm guessing it's a Campsite with knights?
At the beginning screen after you choose your knight. The monitors show art from updates, friend option prompt, inventory (or marketplace) and a start expedition button. Also those lit buttons under the monitors could mean something.
Looks like Im not sleeping tonight. >.>
i'm pretty sure i might be the only one to notice this, but vanaduke has fur
What do we see every day us! every day we must see atleaste 300 that may not be mutch but after all we are just, (not being racist) black skined and 2eyes we use armor as skins of some form we never figured out what we are in tthe first place.
I think I finally figured out secret #10!
The tiles/stones/pond in Haven form a giant sword, like the one in the logo!
It's nothing on the scale of 'those shrubberies over there sort of look like a gremlin!' It's much bigger than that.
Yeah, to my knowledge someone already figured it out, as I discovered after some forum hunting. Very cool regardless!
Just a reminder: Nick only said that Pixeljoy was correct in how the Clockworks were constructed. But he replied in this thread that it was not #10 (see post 499 on page 10.)
And that thing about the levels residing in those spheres: I assumed that was a bit of information that everyone deduced, so I withheld from posting it because I assumed it was common knowledge. So what if -- what if someone knows this little secret because (s)he assumed that it was common knowledge? Or better yet, what if everyone knows and correctly assumes that everyone knows and doesn't feel that it would noteworthy enough to post it? And only the Admins aren't aware of the fact that we know the secret?
The only way to remedy this is by ending our suffering and giving us a hint Nick.
Or maybe I should just post everything I know/deduced about the lore and physics of Spiral Knights?
---
EDIT: I just went through the list again and I'm even more intrigued by #8:
Spookats inhabited the earliest working prototype of SK we ever built. Sadly, this prototype no longer exists in a place that is easily accessible.
Goodbye sleep, we were never really good friends and we didn't hang out much but I will miss you regardless.
It's obvious, in the screen where you first login there are all the clockwork levels turning (hence the name) and in the ready room, its the mission config in the party room before you start the mission!
Granted this was in the most recent update but, the artifact you receive when heading to haven (which you can mow see in the lab) is obviously the key into cradles core. Ive played enough RPGs to notice at least that much.
Another thing i just noticed was, its always sunny in haven. Meaning ive never seen it night or dusk. Apart from the haloween or christmas events. The sun never sets, actually where is this sun anyway? Is it artificial or real?
The system star is real. On the wallpaper of cradle, one half of the planet is light, one half is dark. The system star is too far away to be visible on the wallpaper.
They should have a contest where the prize is learning what #10 is. :)
I think it's either it's the method of the Snipe's ability to fly is anatomically impossible, or that the Strangers don't "speak": it's all prerecorded tapes that are played.
I doubt that's it, but it's worth a guess.
perhaps it involves something in just the pure code of the game?
spiral knights is a pro-life game
Swarm eyes.
Don't believe me?
Danger indicator, sealed weapons, titan gate and statue, ect.
