When you are fighting with

When you are fighting with Snarbolax, the only way to damage it is too use the Beast Bells. When it becomes stunned, it's colours turn from black to light brown. People (including meh) where thinking that it is just because of stun, until the Furniture Update when OOO released the statues:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Replica_Natural_Snarbolax
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Replica_Shadowy_Snarbolax

My theory: The Snarbolax which we are fighting is (slightly) infested by the Swarm, because of this they have their shadowy colour (it's natural form is represented at the first statue). The Swarm, apparently, can't endure the sound of beast bells, because it disappears for a short duration and the Snarbolax becomes vulnerable.
In practice, it looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naRLLTqkk10

Conclusions:
1)Every Snarbolax equipment IS INFESTED, WE NEED TOO BURN THEM TO ASHES!
2)We can fight against the Swarm with beast bells.

EDIT: I know, it's not the 10# but it can be true.

I think your theory is a bit wrong, if you read the description on the wiki about the natural snarbolax it says, and i quote, "A small Snarbolax statuette, showing the savage shadow in a stunned state.

Meaning that the statue is the stunned version of the Snarbolax.

I'd like to point out that

I'd like to point out that the Swarm and Shadow Lairs did not yet exist at the time of Nick's original post.

Quoting from an earlier post in this thread:

At the time of the OP, there was:

No Garrison
No Lab
No Hall of Heroes
No Missions
No Customizable Guild Halls
No Arsenal Stations
PvP was brand new (9 days old) and only BN, no Lockdown
No Howlitzers or Polyps
No Candlestick Keep
No Loadouts
No Heart Trinkets
No Accesories
No Lockboxes
No Shadow Lairs
No Elevator Passes
No Featured Auctions
No Drones (Shankles/Wisps)
No Ready Room
No OCH
No Party Finder
No Black Kats

Also, I believe that the Snarbolax boss and the Roarmulus Twins did not yet exist either.

Nick said that #10 was "something that all knights see everyday, but just haven't figured it out yet," so I'd assume it would be something in Haven.

Derpuraptor strikes back

Altough Swarm itself didn't exist, it's concepts and details were made at the very start of the game. A proof of this is the outline things a Tortodrone has all over his head and maybe arms.

Yep, but it's name is Natural Snarbolax statue and not Stunned Snarbolax statue (still I acknowledge that the description is strange).
Well, mortals like us can't decide a so important thing, we need to summon an Admin to confirm or disconfirm it.

{I know, it's not the 10# but it can be true.}

The 10th secret is that Arcade levels are housed inside domes that rotate in towers. (This is actually pretty obvious, considering that the skydome is visible in Aurora Isles, Wolver Den, and Jigsaw Valley.) After "pixeljoy" figured it out, Nick revealed that the Clockworks that we see is composed of spheres cleaved from various worlds that are slotted into trays. These trays rotate (this is how multiple levels can exist and rotate for a given depth and gate) and line up every two days in the Haven Arcade based on mineral deposits to form a gate. Note that this still doesn't explain how subtowns connect to every gate at once.

It would be nice if Nick or someone could confirm that this is the 10th secret so we can graveyard this thread already.

If it isn't I suspect that the 10th secret might be the fact that the Strangers don't actually talk so much as play pre-recorded messages. Talk to a Stranger NPC and listen carefully to the "bark" that plays; it's the sound of an old reel-to-reel tape recorder starting, then some alien-sounding gibberish as the tape whirs, then a click as the tape stops. This happens to explain why guys like Warnel say the same thing every time. This also implies that the Strangers are just as artificial as the Clockworks and basically exist to provide a veneer of normalcy to any tourists who happen upon Cradle.

Pens, not pencils.

Clearly, it's about the types of damage. Currently they are Normal, Piercing, Shadow, and Elemental. Now think about the order of the bosses. Currently, they are Snarb, JK, RT, and Vana. Respectively, their classes could be considered as beast, slime, construct, and fiend.

The damage that those classes do, in order, is piercing, piercing, elemental, and shadow. Without repeats, the first letter of each damage type, taken together, is PES.

PES may not look like anything significant, but that is because we have not factored in Normal damage. Now, we take the first letter, N, and think of where to put it in. Clearly, N must be placed in order to be the 3rd letter, because 3 is a special number: there are three types of weapons (sword, gun, and bomb), there are three battle sprites (Drak, Sera, and Mask), each battle sprite has a maximum of 3 moves that it can use, and there are three classes to choose from in LD. Therefore, let us put the N in the 3rd position.

Now, we have PENS. This is clearly a secret message put in by someone like Nick. What he must be referring to is that pens are much better than pencils. Therefore, Secret#10 must be that Nick has an abnormal obsession with pens in contrast to pencils.

Oops. Well, I still suspect

Oops. Well, I still suspect that the 10th secret is either something to do with the login screen, the loading screen, or Haven. For instance, has anyone noticed yet that in the login screen, you can see lightning flashes in the depths of the Clockworks? Maybe there's something interesting down there.... (Also, the fact that Haven's data is internally referred to as "outershell" probably means something to someone.)

Another lame idea: the reason

Another lame idea: the reason the planet is called Cradle is because it's the literal and figurative cradle for the Core entity. Why do you put babies in cradles? To keep them safe. Why was the Core placed in Cradle? To keep it safe from the Swarm. Now the only question is whether the Core is a juvenile god or something and if so, where its parents are.

OOH maybe the whole thing is actually just a globe, the gremlins are rats and the ppl are toys. nah that wouldnt be. Oh maybe its that the knights dont seem to have and actual face or body, cos that you would even see in the ready room so if u log on and off thats all ud see. maybe they are robots.. Ive had too many guesses xD

My guess

The Gremlin icon looks like some (gremlin-ey) teeth biting down on a lug nut. I read all the pages of this thread and the wiki, and I haven't seen this tidbit anywhere.

EDIT: I started to think too far into things. Sometimes you'll meet big Knight with helmets that look like Knight chess pieces. We also take down a Jelly King and a Jelly Queen (though, the Jelly Queen was made long after the original post). The map is also split up into cubic spaces, like a certain board. What I'm getting at is we're all just pawns in the universe's most elaborate game of Super Chess.

@Limesheep,
Chess references aren't so secretly especially since gates' names comes from chess pieces as well (Bishop, King, Knight, Pawn, Queen, Rook).

The origins of other gate names (Clover, Falcon, Lion, Phantom, Serpent, Skull, Sun, Titan + obsolete Dragonfly and Sparrow) are more secretly, though I doubt it's #10

It's the moon. (Probably,

It's the moon. (Probably, just guessing wildly here.)

The moon is on the website, so we see it every day. It's also listed on the promo art, for those that care. It's pretty mysterious, and it was obviously placed there, since Cradle is an artificial planet; the fact that it's also crumbling is also rather interesting. Maybe we'll find more Core-related stuff there. Maybe it's a captured world that will crash into Cradle and form new Clockworks levels.

While we're talking geography, what's that arrow thing on the gold globestand pointing to?

Well, let's analyze this a bit more closely.

Alright, keep in mind that Nick said this is something players see EVERY DAY. He said PLAYERS. Not knights of specific ranks. Therefore, it must be something both the lowest ranks and highest ranks can see every day. With that said, there are two things that immediately come to mind: Haven, and the Logon Screen.

I shall now thoroughly study Haven and the Logon screen and report back with my findings.

EDIT:
- The planet/moon (not sure what is is) in the background on the Logon screen appears to have fractures in it, as well as having a strange dust coming off of it, as if the whole thing is coming apart.
- The name of the Stranger in Town Square nearest to the Garrison entrance is a pun. His name is Bootshuze, as in, boot shoes.
- All the water Haven sparkles.
- The Town Square fountain has leaves in it, yet there are no trees near it.
- The Stranger in the southwest of Town Square between the entrance to the garden and the steps to the Bazaar is named Warnel, and he warns you not to step on snipes. Another name pun?
- In the Bazaar, the Armor Merchant is named Greave. A greave is a piece of armor.
- In the Bazaar, there is a stranger by the name of Ricasso, who is the Guns & Explosives Merchant. Ricasso is the name for a specific section of the blade of a sword. His name may not directly have to do with what he sells, but it still is related to weaponry.
- Quillion is the Bazaar's Blade Merchant. A quillion is a sort of crystal from the Sword of Truth novels. Sure, it was a crystal, but the series was called SWORD of Truth.
- As far as the name of Kragen, the Bazaar's Shield Merchant, Kragen is the name of an auto parts company. Not much relevancy in that, is there? Could #10 be that Kragen is the only Stranger that lacks a name pun or name related to what he sells?
- Basil, the merchant found in the Mission Lobby, shares his name with an herb that is commonly used in the culinary arts. I believe the relation here is that basil the herb is useful, and Basil the Stranger sells useful items.
- Vatel, the merchant who sells recipes and other general items, probably has to do with the word vital. As in, you'll need some of the items he sells.

Pixelflash: I thought the stranger's names had more to them than I thought, but I couldn't figure it out beyond Greave. Nice find!

Usevnsevnsixfivfor: Where? If it's to do with Pixeljoy's post, then that isn't it.

One thing I can think of, after doing the Gauntlet again - this is probably just trivia, but I'll post it anyway - is that the three arenas have shock, freeze and fire statuses - a very common combo in games.
