10 things you didn't know about Spiral Knights

Well, the stranger you're referring to talks about Gremlins...
But I don't see any similarities between Gremlins and Booze
Huts except maybe how the bomber ones act....
Also it could be "boots hues" meaning "what color are your boots?"
But that doesn't have anything to do with gremlins...
There's a path that's blocked off near that stranger that looks like it could link up
with the blocked passage out of the arcade.
The reason why there are fans in the fountain at haven is because they need to circulate water
(they certainly don't want it to be filled with snipe "stuff" :p).
"Kragen" means "collar". :D
I'm really curious about the stuff at Moorcroft(I'm not naming it all, thats too much)
and the lightbulbs and the two gremlins looking at a tv with a boss screen on it.
Before that post, I thought they were playing video games XD
Hope that helped :)
I noticed that Bootshuze has the same number of letters as Tinkinzar. My first thought was alphabet shifting and scrambling (Caesar Cipher), but Tinkinzar has two pairs of letters and Bootshuze only has one. It comes alarmingly close, however.
No matter what you do, there's actually a few things I can think of that we see every day:
The login screen
The loading screen
Well, there's probably more, but right now, I'm too lazy to think.

mabey how vise and punches masks seem, odd
vise's mask: its bearded and its like he is winking?
punch's mask: it looks like a pirate, the glowing eye has a slash on it, like a eye patch.
Has someone considered looking at the character selection screen?
How about Plinkop, the stranger right before the entrance to the Arcade from the Town Square? It talks about the clockworks in general. The only thing I can see is pop surrounding link.
Sorry if this has already been brought up in the thread. There's just so many posts...
Has anyone considered the fact that the Skellies are human skeletons, but there aren't any humans on Cradle? Assuming you're like me, and don't think our knights are humans, anyway.
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Undead#Undead_Family
"The Undead Family consists of ghosts and skeletons which haunt the Clockworks (although no one seems sure exactly what creatures these ghosts and skeletons came from!)."
Well, at least we now know the backstory to the Spookats, explored in the upcoming Candlestick Keep random stages.

when you log in is it the spiral warden? is there a secret?

I met a player named "krogmo" when playing. Is that really Nick? My ign is michaelb.

Here's my guess at what the secret is: Every sentient robotic creature on the Clockworks (and the Clockworks themselves) have been built by the Gremlins.
Which would include the Strangers.

Also, you know how monomi is the only gun pup statue in haven that supposedly does not have a "twin" that faces towards it.
However, if you go straight in a line to the right from monomi, it leads into the blocked off pass next to the alchemy machine...
I just noticed there was a horse behind the knights (not an actual horse, but it looks like Chess Knight). Also, the title music is reminiscent of the music that played at the very beginning of the game (when you crash landed).
Sigh... nick stated "...players see every day..." which ONLY implies that at least two players see it every day. Since 'players' is plural it necessitates more than one, but doesn't necessarily include every player. So, hopefully for the last time in this thread...
"Players see every day" does NOT equal "every player sees every day."
"Players see every day" does NOT equal "every player sees every day."
"Players see every day" does NOT equal "every player sees every day."
"Players see every day" does NOT equal "every player sees every day."
Read it aloud all four times please. Sorry if I sound rude, but this irritates me.
Maybe some of these:
-Between the rods behind Vise stands/floats an invisible NPC, which is permanently shocked, resulting in all the sparks and lightning.
-Something with the monitors at the Auction House. I can't read them, but it looks like they are only showing keyboard symbols instead of normal (Earthly, Latin) letters.
-There is still a shovel next to the stone wall on the east side of the Town Square. Maybe the wall was build for the time being, but will be demolished later.
-The southern exit/entrance? Why would this be blocked like that? Is the Skylark being rebuild there? Maybe we can enter it in the future?
Couldn't think of more...
GUYS I FIGURED IT OUT, CHECK IT: http://i55.tinypic.com/ivlldv.png

So all we do now is figure out the rest and unscramble it? :o

To all the people talking about the extra entrances that are now blocked by stone from the Arcade and Town Square...
It's been mentioned before that originally there were plans for an East Side of Haven - and during the preview those entrances weren't blocked by debris, but by construction signs and knights indicating it was being built. I can't remember if it was during launch or shortly before, but they removed those and just placed the debris blocking them. No words on whether plans still exist on creating a whole other section of Haven, but the option is still certainly there for them.
On the Wingdings thing, I'm just going to guess that was used because it didn't single out and exclude any languages that people actually speak. It's been used in The Sims 2, too.
This probably isn't the secret, but even though the can bow, their normal posture and the fact that they really don't care about their long, flowing sleeves sitting on the ground, implies they get around like gorillas.
I'm pretty sure past that area is a lift, and that's where you came up from the Rescue camp. It makes sense, where else would it be, and why do you appear there when you first get there?
I don't think people see the Milky Way when they play the game, but I wouldn't be surprised if the "Spiral" in the title is an allusion to that.

Nicks #10 is....*gasp* our entire world...is just a GAME! O_O and *gasp* our very bodies... ARE JUST PROGRAMMING!!!!!!
the world is a lie!!!!!!!!
:D lol

How many months are we gonna have to wait until Nick tells us the answer? This is just like the Megaman 9 secret all over again.

Stare at your chars on the selection srceen when you log in. It looks like they breath

Oh hi, mysticbeam. I saw you at a jelly run today xD

Just tossing this out there, since I didn't see it mentioned in this thread.
i think its the train tracks at moorcraft manor i think its a train station leading somewhere. also ive noticed suitcases there mite belong to devilite family because there like businessmen

@ pupu great post!
@espeonage I think that post is definitely the most insightful so far.

@Espeonage And the "levels" sort of have the whitish outline because of those "shield walls" that don't let enemies through.

I KNOW IT
The ENTIRE race of what the zombies were is extinct. We don't see any alive humanoids other than the strangers, and apparently they're robots.
Don't you think every time you go into the fsc you always go left never right????
Sometimes it doesn't even allow you to got right??
Also you never see the vendor people thingi's heads there's always a snipe on it??? You never see there body or hands it's just a big cloak there wearing???
Isn't that interesting.. Curious isn't it?

I noticed this during an update, where I had to leave and return to the game (as we all do)
At the loading screen, there are symbols across the top and bottom, representing different depth types. But there is also a symbol of crossed swords, which is not a depth type, and there is, more oddly, the symbol of a snipe added to the mix, which is definately not a depth type.
Have snipes taken over everything?
Lol, probably not, its just something that everyone sees every day in this game, without noticing it.

every knight only goes downwards, no one bothered in exploring cradle´s surface.

The big secret: each of the strangers are really just two gremlins, one sitting on the other's shoulders. That's why they wear those long robes and sway unsteadily when they should be standing still.

well lets see you ever looked at the statue in the train hall it has KAT ears and a TROIKA type sword with a CURSE eye curios yeah thats right new thing maybe the reason kats are ghost think about it

If you noticed on the wiki the wolves cap can be obtained by finding it or doing something
I think that is 10

could be who knows only the gm's may or maybe the secret could be the FSC button in the crate but i just saw a tread where a gm said and i may quote"it must be a leftover)or something like that of either my suggestion like i typed think about it

I'm still trying to figure out 10. Nick you are such a tease.

I am certain this has been mentioned once before, maybe more, but I will tell you a story:
"Antonius Pinto was the owner of a great olive orchard. He was also the father of three strong, but lazy sons.
Antonius tended his olive trees with very little help from his sons. Every morning before the sun grew hot, he could be found on the hillside, digging about the roots, loosening the soil, or pruning the old trees and propping the young ones; or, in harvest time, picking the ripe fruit.
And every afternoon at sunset, he could be found sitting on the hillside, resting in the shade of his trees. Then Antonius would look at the fine old trees; and he would sigh to think that he was growing old and could no longer give them all the care that they needed.
"Ah, yes," he would say to himself, "if my sons would but work as I have done, the yield from this orchard would bring us a fortune."
There came a time when Antonius no longer worked among his olive trees, for he was at rest from his labors.
His three sons met to hear the reading of the will, and the words filled them with astonishment: "I bequeath to my sons my olive orchard and equal shares in the treasure that lies buried there."
The three sons stared at one another. "Treasure!" they exclaimed. "Treasure buried in the orchard! If we hire others to dig there, our treasure may be stolen from us. We ourselves must work in the orchard until we find it."
So the sons divided the orchard into three parts and began to work as they had never worked before. They turned up the soil from one end of the orchard to the other, around the roots of each tree and between the rows. But no treasure was to be found.
That year, however, the olive trees bore so much fruit that the limbs were bent to the ground. Never was such a harvest of olives seen before! The three sons sold the fruit for a good price, and each received what seemed to him a fortune.
As they were dividing the money into three shares, one of them said, "Truly, our digging has brought us a treasure. Our father was very wise."
And so each year the three sons dug in the orchard, as their father had wished; and each year the orchard yielded its treasure."
Nick pulled off an Antonius Pinto (without the dying part). The more you look deeper into the game, the more you appreciate what has been done by the developers. This is not a call to stop searching, though; by all means continue finding cool hidden things.

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr maybe

Man!! im gonna apply to become a GM just to find out!
I hate not knowing stuff

This probably isn't secret number 10 but it was something fun I noticed. Apologies if it was posted before, but if you stand next to those party switches (where all players need to stand in and all that) and you start spinning around with your mouse. Sometimes (more noticeable in arena levels) the glitter shine effect of the switch will appear more often the faster you spin.
... it's fun to look at :D

Oh god, I don't know if this has been mentioned but, what if the true answer to Nick's #10 is that....BOSWICK'S BUSH IS ALREADY IN GAME?
"Bootshuze, the one with black and white snipes near the alchemy machine, is the only one in the Town Square that gives me trouble. What his name could mean besides "boot" and "shoes"... I don't know. Is it an anagram of something? I'm pretty certain it's not, but if someone can see one, then awesome."
The only anagram I can get from Bootshuze is "Booze Huts"
Hint to the contents of Haven's east side anyone? *shot*
