@Hexzyle:

Really?..I thought people were past losing to Vanaduke. I'd say 30% of randoms that I see in FSC practically solo him, or status-bomb him very well which makes him easy.

Although, I suppose he is the only challenging boss to date..with the exception of *most* of the SL bosses.

Back on-topic...

My Main: Vitasuit Deluxe,

My Main:
Vitasuit Deluxe, Sunset Stetson, Heavy Plate Shield, Firo Driver, Magnus, Graviton Charge (3*), Freezing Vaporizor Mk II (Low Undead UV). A ping of about 1500.
A party of Vana Noobs.
That's my setup that failed.

My RC Character:
Boosted Plate Mail, Skelly Helm, Boosted Plate Shield, Cryotech Alchemer, Avenger, Super Blast Bomb (3*). Similar ping.
A party of a Vana Veteran, New tier 3 player, 3 star player with enough brains to revive his teammates first.
This is my setup that succeeded. What the?

Yeah, the amount of new threads on guild hall upgrades is absurd. I think people are just trying to recreate and take credit for our ideas :P

With one suggestion, Severage, you have risen to one of the most popular Forum users in the game XD Well, you're popular in my eyes :3
Along with others such as Iron, Tsubasa, Schatt, Juances, among others :3 (meee?)

Great ideas. This update is a

Great ideas. This update is a must happen!

Here's my 2 cents:

First, I propose a mini-auction house in the guild hall, a little place that allows us access to the auction house from the guild hall. This will make guild mates want to hang out at the guild hall more often. Will this render Haven useless? No, because people would still have to gather in Haven to meet new knights for recruitment or friending as well as trading.

I realize now that this one has already been touched, but I've been saying it for months myself: My second proposal is to have themed decoration packs you could purchase with energy, such as Jungle-themed, Fire-themed, and Ice-themed. Adding this to mini-auction house idea, I'm sure many people will purchase themed decoration packs for the guild hall, and your guild mates will love it. (This is mainly just for aesthetic purposes, make the guild hall a more inviting or cozy place.)

The guild hall as is is very plain and definitely needs most, if not all, these awesome ideas implemented.

@Theredcomet

1) The main reason why lots of people are in haven is because of the Auction house. It's a kind of market, and I like it that way. Zone messages and Trade messages don't work anywhere but haven, and since those are linked to the Auction House, it needs to remain in haven only.

Doesn't matter what you say, without the auction house, haven would be bare as.

2) I'll quote Severage's original post:

"1 - Change of location. Several maps would be present (Previewable) in the shop, instead of always the current Guild Hall. I would assume that these would be themed similarly to the dungeons. I.E "Aurora Isles" themed Halls, "Devilish Drudgery" themed Halls, etc"

Another Suggestion, and just

Another Suggestion, and just an eye candy thing, in addition to the interface in the guild, however you decide to display it, that displays all guild member info, should be the history of all players kicked from the guild and what rank they were, and also players who are banned from the guild, which should look nearly exactly like the ignore/unignore system works, except guildwide.

Don't know if you've already added or thought of that or not.

@Hexzyle:

Well, your main has absolutely no Shadow Def gear...and all enemies do split Normal/Shadow damage in FSC (Except the charging attack of the Slag Guardians, which is the only thing down there I believe that does Piercing/Normal split). Your shield is also not ideal for FSC, so it'd likely break easily against a turret or a couple Slags; but it does have high HP so it probably lasts a little while.

As far as your RC Character...

Boosted Plate mail is only a fashion item in my eyes...wouldn't use it for anything else. By Skelly Helm, I assume you mean the 2* Skelly Mask? Not much defense on it, but it's the right kind. Cryotech is great for FSC; does extra damage and can be a life-saver. Avenger is also great for a crowd-control sword. Wouldn't recommend that bomb though, unless you're just trying to survive. It typically throws enemies into the faces of your allies, and can be annoying to allies if spammed..it also tends to have an annoyingly opaque effect upon explosion...makes it hard to see anything.

Ha! Most popular forum user. xD
Nah..I just stalk the suggestions forum...I don't think I've ever posted anywhere else. But the vote of confidence is appreciated! =]

@Theredcomet: It's funny you should suggest that, because initially I had a "Stranger Courier" that would basically be a tiny Auction House. I replaced it with a Trading Room, because too many people thought that duplicate activities are a no-go. If you'd like to read up on the GTR (Guild Trading Room), see point 2.

Yup, as HexZyle quoted my OP, that has already been added to the post. One of the few things that was on the unedited OP and still remains there, I believe. It passes the test.

If you have any further ideas, or think that maybe thoroughly reading the ideas up on the OP could be helpful to you, please feel free to critique the OP. Thanks for posting!

@Hexzyle (most recent post, lol):

Ah-ha! Nice one, I missed that. Perhaps a third tab is due for such an update. I'll update the OP immediately, and see if I can't fit this in there.

EDIT: Update completed! Thought up a couple new ideas while I was at it, I hope they're good (You might want to read most of the information under "Guild Records" again, I edited a few points). Thanks again. =]

Banquets

I suggest having a banquet event where it is purchasable from one of the guild NPCs, using the guild's CE/cr. At the event, the guildhall will transform into a clockwork-like stage with 10 depths, each depth having different activities, like having a boss stage(of which any of the game's bosses can be chosen to fight with, the difficulty based on the average number and tier of the guildies), treasure vaults, and more. The depths would be randomized and unknown.

Severage's picture
Severage
@Shinichilee:

That's an interesting idea...but that's basically a different way of asking for Guild Elevators.

Hmmm...but how could you have more than 4 people at the Banquet? Only 4 people can go down a dungeon, unless you're suggesting that you go with a party of tons of people...and I don't see that happening honestly.

Too many people would get laggy, not to mention confusing, if it wasn't a very cooperative team.

Some more details would be nice too if you could manage them. Thanks!

PS: 10 Depths is what it takes to get down to Vanaduke (Assuming you started from Emberlight), so making it 10 Depths to go down to JK or...Snarbolax...would likely not be used. Also, would the pre-boss levels (RJP, FSC, etc.) be randomized instead too?

I think we'll have to leave wether the Auction house is moved to the Guildhall or not up to the Devs. We've discussed it multiple times, and it doesn't really seem like something we can make an informed desicion on. The Devs have their reasons for doing things. Lets leave the technical bits up to them.

Arena

How about a custom PVP area in which you can battle your own guild, or other guilds can brawl in against you?

@Kewlkid:

"7 - Training Area. This area could have many various enemies, obstacles, etc. My ideas would be to have Training Dummies. These dummies would be colored, or otherwise themed, based on their Monster Type. I.E a Beast Dummy, Elemental Dummy, Gremlin Dummy, and so on. The point in these would be to test your weapon's damage on certain types of creatures. They would also have to be T1, T2, or T3, as would be specified by the Stranger who sells the training area's construction to you. Each tier being more expensive than the last. They may or may not be all in the Hall at once, whatever works for the Game Designers.

Training Area Add-on (Suggested by Skold-The-Drac): Sparring Room. The Sparring Room would be a unique PvP room, with Guildmates only. It would be coordinated by a Stranger. It would be a very simple PvP Sparring room. Just two teams, and a lot of dying. The Stranger would lobby the Knights in a party, and when it was full (2+ vs 2+), he would begin a countdown. He would yell, for instance: "Sparring begins in 60 Seconds!". At the end of the countdown, all participating players would be teleported into the Sparring Area.

The Sparring Area would be inaccessible besides being teleported to by the Stranger. Once inside, the maps would vary (Most likely be based off of LD maps), and the bases would look similar. Due to some people being "AFK", I suggest that the barriers be put in place so that Knights must exit their base to attack the enemy team. Just so that one knight isn't AFK the whole time and makes his team lose.

The heart-dispensers shouldn't be there, because they could cause a stalemate if you had a cowardly team.
Very basic Team Deathmatch style. On a 4-player-per-team Deathmatch, it may or may not be 25 points to win. In an 8 vs 8 player deathmatch, I'd suggest 50 points to win. Participating has no entry fee (Being a guild facility) and as of now no rewards.
(Due to Player Feedback getting the wrong idea and saying this is basically a LD clone, I argue the point that you can use YOUR SHIELDS here, there are NO classes (Striker, Guardian, Recon), and no Control Points).

After thinking about this, I thought to myself: "But without Strikers or Recon...Gunners and Bombers would easily destroy the other team". So, for that reason, I'm putting in a measure of tweaks to the idea.

1: Shield Health and Defence is raised, and Walking Speed while shielding is just slightly slower than regular walking speed (Not whatever it is now..like 1/2 the speed when your shield is up).

2: On the applicable levels, Remedy Capsules would be able to be dropped from Bushes/Plants/Gravestones, and would be used by pressing "1". There are no slots up at the top during any PvP games so you'd simply have to remember to press "1" if you picked one up prior.

3: Players, upon entering the Arena would be given Shock and Curse Resistance."

COLORS!

I dislike your discordian color system, it needs a change:

Default selection (auto secondary color comes with each color, ie. Cool contains both the primary and secondary):
The Accessory Colors!! - Cool, Regal, Heavy and the like(not including Divine, Volcanic, and Shadow)
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Accessories#Standard_Accessory_Styles

Expansions:
Divine, Volcanic, and Shadow!!(and MAYBE Prismatic, probably not, and you'll see why in a second) - Self Explanatory (Primary and Secondary fused together like previously)
(For shadow refer to dragon wings)

Personal Colors - All the colors for your eyes! Basically every color that is availiable (replaces prismatic see?) (SEPARATE CHOICE FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY (maybe)
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Personal_Color

Monster Colors - The monster stratum colors, contains both primary and secondary
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Gate#Stratum_Themes

Status Colors - Same as monster but with status effects
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Gate#Stratum_Themes

Damage Colors - The colors of damage types (could be replaced by personal colors expansion)
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Damage#Damage_Types

AND FINALLY

Proto - The ORIGINAL proto green (the sword bomb and gun)
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Proto_Shield
(sword bomb and gun are below)

Costs! from highest to lowest:(some maybe have achievement points needed)
Proto(needs all AP ^_^)
Personal(and maybe need AP too (achievement points)
Divine, Volcanic, and Shadow
Animal & Status (same cost)
Damage(again maybe here)

I may expand on this a bit, but your slime favored with random other monsters ain't cutting it for my OCD my friend!!

@Isenfir:

I'm pleased someone actually read over the thread and thought it through, instead of reading the title and replying "+1". =]

So, if I understand you correctly, you are only talking about the colors themselves. The Emblems which cost AP would be unchanged.

If I also understand you correctly, you mean 'Divine, Volcanic, and Shadow' as well as 'Animal & Status' are bought with Crowns, not AP.

Furthermore, Damage and Personal have a possible AP requirement, and the 'Proto color' green requires all AP.

Just checking to make sure I got that right.

The only problem that I see here is that the Proto color IS available as a Personal color (Lime, Green, Emerald, Aquamarine, Chartreuse), so having Personal colors unlocked is, in effect, better than having Proto.

Besides the random 'Proto-is-the-best' thing, I like that scheme a bit better than whatever I put up there a few weeks ago.

Ah forgot personal had proto in it :P

Well how about i go more in-depth, you got most of it right, but now since I got approval I can elaborate!!!

    ================================================================================
    Proto Green: (Unlocked by Default after buying Guild Crest Upgrade)

Expansion Colors (Cost Crowns and require AP)

    Damage Colors:

50 AP; 1,000 Cr OR 10 CE (Baby Steps & T1 boss Achievement) (I don't know if we should include this or not due to it being obsolete almost)

    Monster Colors:

115 AP; 2,000 Cr OR 20 CE (Hop, Skip, and a Jump & T2 boss Achievements)

    Status Colors:

190 AP; 3,000 Cr OR 30 CE (Clockworks Juggernaut & T3 boss Achievenments)

    Accessory Colors:

215 AP; 10,000 Cr OR 100 CE (all NON-Shadow Lair Achievements and not Average Completionist)

    Divine, Volcanic, and Shadow:

475 AP; 10,000 Cr OR 100 CE (All Achievements other than Completionist Achievements)

    Personal Colors:

ALL 600 AP; 20,000 Cr OR 150 CE (Same cost as Guild Crest Upgrade) (ALL Achievements)(Allows you to customize Primary AND Secondary Colors)

    ================================================================================

Of course this is without considering other Achievements coming in that will be added, such as maybe something in LD or BN, Crystals, Items, People in Guild, etc.

I think these values(prices) are decent, and maybe we could lock some achievements until their predecessors are unlocked? or maybe instead of these Color Expansions needing AP, make them require the actual achievements instead, or not...

@Post#1:

Sounds nice, but nobody is going to pay with Crowns. Those prices assume that you'd be paying CR:CE 100:1, and the current rate is around 67:1. By emphasizing "OR", I assume you meant you can pay with either one..but that just complicates things; and at those prices, you wouldn't use Crowns to buy anything anyway.

The Achievement Points are there so that you don't have to unlock specific achievements in any given order as prerequisites to any item. If you had 600 AP, by virtue of that fact, you'd have all achievements. If you decided you wanted to complete T3 Achievements first, then you'd still be able to get the Damage Colors upgrade. I find that APs allow for more freedom rather than specific achievements unlocking specific colors; ESPECIALLY when said achievements have no direct relations to their respective colors.

@Post#2:

I like the emblems I have up there right now, but I need to change it up a bit. I need to put the SL emblem in there, and probably make it 600 AP, and put the Core as like 500 or something. But you can work on that too if you like.

1. The reason i say both ways and that crowns cost more, people are more willing to donate Crowns and not CE, am I right? That way it would cost more since it's more common to get, see?

2. True, true

3. I know, but it'd be nice to have ALL the emblems, this is what I was thinking: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Gate#Gate_Names

Listed in no particular order (sort of)

Chess Pieces(default?): Bishop, King, Pawn, Rook, Queen, Knight(maybe the ONLY default emblem, or an emblem that you have to buy, meh)

Animals: Falcon, Lion, Serpent, Titan

Undead: Skull(NOT BOSS), Phantom, Gravestone, GunPup(Briar Bone Barrage)

Earth: Sun, Clover, Tree (Gloaming), Aurora Isles

Modern: IMF, City (Dark City), Subtown, Gear

Clockworks: Terminal, Random, Party Lobby, Battle Arena

The Unknown: Core, Sanctuary, Shadow Lair, Boss

Monster Symbols: Beast, Gremlin, Construct, Slime, Undead, Fiend

Status Effects: Shock, Fire, Freeze, Stun, Curse, Sleep, Poison

Bonus: Hats off! A top hat for these people (I have a soft spot for them even though im not in it :P) : http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Hat_Simulator_(Guild)
Bonus: Admins! OOO symbol

That leaves the monster icon (diglet thingy) left out(For fiends/beasts/lichens)

And of course some shifting around with these emblems, and new emblems (like your snipe and such).
Now that we have a list, we can work off of it to slim it down and such. This is just so we know what we have to work with.

@Isenfir:

Not sure where you got the idea that most emblems wouldn't be available?

There's a reason I put this in the OP:

" will be based on the icons seen in the Clockworks (The stage emblems, I.E Knight, Pawn, Crown, etc.). However, not ALL icons will be available at first. His specialty shop will have the following items (Once all upgrades are purchased, *ALL* emblems seen in the clockworks will be available to use in your crest):"

Although I forgot about the SL emblem, which isn't available, so I need to change that. I also forgot about the Sanctuary emblem, thanks for bringing that up.

Monster Symbols and Status Effects I wasn't going to do as emblems...I was just going to do all the ones found in the CW.

PS: The Snipe Emblem is actually SEEN while loading Spiral Knights after a patch, if you look on the top and bottom, you will see it (Same with the Cross-swords Emblem).

Great!

This is one of the best suggestions i have seen all day! The devs should definitely look into this, then finally the guildhall wouldn't look as bland as it is now. One thing that I would like to add would be uniforms. I know, no one likes uniforms, but hear me out.

For some extra costs or perhaps free, the guildmaster could create his own costume armor. It could have different patterns, ornaments, etc. The costume would not be required to worn, and it wouldn't be sellable. If the member gets promoted, maybe the uniform could get updated along with the player (it could have a badge, spikes, etc.) New members would receive one when they join (or when they reach a certain rank). If the guildsmember leaves, then the costume would get taken away.

Even without uniforms, all the ideas you've posted are great.

@Gjkgfs:

Thanks for replying!

Yeah uniforms basically run off the same sort of idea as having 'Crests'.

The problem with them is that they'd either..

1): Have to make an entirely new set of armor in order to make sure that people don't re-color re-textured armors to make it looks like something it's not.

2): Re-texture some other armor set, in which case it'd be easy to re-color and be a fraudulent suit.

Example: They re-texture a Rose Regalia Tabard, guild changes colors to Red/Grey, it now looks just like a Red Tabard.
