If we were to finish this RP, we going on to Proto wars? Is the concept like Hunger games? Too preoccupied to read it :3
Return to Cradle: Origins (roleplay discussion)
** For Info Purposes Only **
Name: Rabbit
Gender: Male
Race: Unknown
Appearance: Rabbit
Bio: A worker for Fate, Rabbit has been an entity for most of his existence. A mortal body, finally whispering the sacred name, gave itself for Rabbit. An enigma of sorts, the only thing people remember about him are his eyes. One, an Eye of Fury, The other, the Eye of the Swarm. Many speculate on how this may have happened, yet only one theory is popular enough to be casually mentioned. That he was born from both. A middle ground. The Eyes symbolize wisdom and cleverness. A divinity within Rabbit, and a natural yearning for chaos. It is said, that Rabbit will only let you see him if he wants to. And he cannot harm anything unless given permission to enter a fight. He is only a whisper amongst half of the galaxy, the only one that remembers his tale, in fact.
Leading Alice to Cradle, Rabbit was left abandoned once Alice forgot about him. He was cursed, and all who looked away from him would forget him. Life, useless, Rabbit sought help. And that's when he found Fate. A willing apprentice, he worked for Fate, across all the universe then, now, and soon-to-come.
Abilities: Teleportation
Weapons: Metal razor-edged cards.
I always imagined that a final battle between Seatus and his arch-enemy (whoever that may be, Diablo, Axis, etc.) would proceed more like this epic Disney scene. I can't really think of any more epic kind of battle than one where Seatus releases his inner beast and lets it all out on someone his size.
Astraea is the white queen? I thought that was Alice... O.o
Ran out of cellular data and I don't care for paying extra, so I might post less.
Alice is the wanderer, whose mind created the Fathers. The Guiding Light, a silvery Wolver guiding her through the forest reminded her of divinity, creating Skolver. The tyranny of the Red Queen's kingdom, and it's burning hatred and corruption, creating Vog. And a single word on a paper, springing madness from her mind, creating the Snarbolax.
The White Queen is another story. Claiming the "lost" city of Almire, she creates a shining empire, with someone dubbed "The Knight" as her love. The Knight is the one that slayed the Snarbolax, creating the Vorpal Blade. Remember, these are all titles from my head. Someone would call them differently. Like the Vorpal Blade might be called Excalibur from another. And the White Queen and the Knight, or the Red Queen and the Master, Adam and Eve.
Anyways, yeah...Astraea, known as Uranus Queen. To Seatus and Alice's followers, the White Queen. You see?
Okay, some of our other players are starting to bug me. I'm mostly referring to Arch, Travid, and Topo. You guys seem more concerned about catching up and filling plot holes than about moving the story forward. Really, I couldn't care less whether your character was too far away in Neverland to have participated in recent events. You can pretend he was always here or teleport him here, for all I care.
Do I care that Arch was in the Council Hall sleeping? Nope.
Do I care that Topo couldn't have known where Gwen was? Nope.
Do I care that Travid was not originally Morai? Nope.
Do I care that Topo wasn't filled in on recent events? Nope.
What do I care about? I want to see the story get moving in exciting new ways. We're so busy wasting time on recaps and plot holes that we're missing out on real gems of story, like the love triangle between Topo, Kirito, and Gwen, the lost memories of Arch, and the Finder's crush on Topo. And Axis, a well-written villain, has gone AFK.
Furthermore, some of you, including Frostrex and Kaijuhunter, have some difficulty leaving interaction points with other characters. It's fine if you intend to go solo for a while, but not if you expect a response. Please practice that so we don't get stuck on your characters again.
All that said, there's still some fabulous writing. Kaijuhunter's stories are almost always amazing, often well thought-out and fun to read. Seatus's stories, while often complicated, add a dramatic, mysterious touch to an otherwise cliche plot. Travid, what few posts you've made indicate an untapped potential. Your last one, especially, was remarkably genius. You should post more often. Topo & Arch, I know you guys can write well. Show me what you're made of.
And Frostrex, get back in the action! I liked your char, and I'm not too keen on losing him.
Responding to thy post from Thin.
Okay, that was a bit harsh, the front one, but necessary. Thanks. Anyways, thanks for the compliments and stuff, and yeah, we need the story going. Just a few questions:
1) Is Kirito dead? or seriously injured. I can't see the difference when a blade stabs him, and he has some thoughts.
2) Is Gwen dead?
3) When is the Morai leaving?
4) WTF Finder has crush on Topo? WTF?!
5) So Astrea is in Euclid's arms right now, right?
6) So Diablo beat two angels, and one mortal without being tired, or even hurt. Wow. Seriously OP. Just like a certain someone who left the RP... *cough* Ultimateknightz. *cough*
1) I dunno what happened with Kirito. I think he was stabbed.
2) I can't decide whether she's dead and will be revived, or barely alive, or just unconscious. Either way, she'll be alive later on.
3) I'm setting up for it.
4) Yes.
5) So it seems.
6) Diablo has had a major influx of energy from the Crystalizer. In order to stop him, one must first destroy the Crystalizer to prevent him from gaining any more power, then drain him of whatever power he has left in him. Until then, he has immense powers of regeneration, control over the elements (and, of course, the weather), and goodness-knows what else. He's turned into a supervillain at the moment.
Anyone ever wonder how powerful a soul is if it's used correctly? If it burns with an intense light? Xindao has a such soul. Burning with loyalty. I wouldn't be surprised if he was completely loyal. Loyal to the core...
I laid the answer right in front of you. Read the words over again, and assess their positions in SK and this roleplay...
I have found pictures of Rabbit. Better pictures...depicting his different personality. Not quite vain, not quite so faithful, and not so outward. He is basically a bad boy, and I'll shiw his separate personalities and his ability to change how his clothes depict him.
Just imagine black rabbit ears on their heads, and a skull mask that only goes to their noses, and that's Rabbit. Plain and simple.
To be honest, I'm not sure what to make of Rabbit. I don't really care enough about his character yet to care about his pictures. Are planning for him to be a successor to Seatus?
In other news, I'm setting up the following events:
1) The formation of the Core
2) The fall of Almire
3) Euclid's victory over the Morai
It just dawned on me...
Having Gwen revive Kirito kinda defeats the purpose of his stabbing, whatever that purpose may be (unless it's to make Gwen revive him). I'm speculating that, since he was stabbed by a Swarm blade, it might be an attempt to explain his "evilness" displayed in the original RtC. I don't really know.
What did you intend to accomplish?
I didn't want there to be an anticlimactic defeating of Diablo before its time. You said so yourself; until they can destroy the Crystalizer (done) and siphon diablo's remaining power (needs to be done) no person, or group of people, can defeat him. Not even Kirito. Or Astraea. I'm looking at you too, Seatus. Even Gwen lost to Diablo. So... Even Kirito has his limits. Nobody can defeat diablo alone.
Seatus denies defeating Diablo, AND the fact he can only hold so much power for so long before burning up. He only has one shot at defeating the battling Queens, and then that's done...and he must move on with no one remembering him. Only this time it's different. The Gods, by some mysterious event changing the future, have turned against Seatus. He will be locked into a darkness so thick, purge is only a dream. Might even make him go mad, seeing as he'll be unable to sleep like that...
And Rabbit. Ever-so strange Rabbit will take his place. Not quite working for good, not working for bad. I don't think anyone will understand the concept of him until I really start using him. Exciting...and mysterious. He'll play god, mess with people's minds. His cards can also act as small explosives and have magnetive properties, and only someone who dreams of him could remember him or even telepathically converse with him. Though everyone can remember if he whispers in your ear...
This song is personally my favorite song of all time. It's literally my favorite of all songs. And it also describes the relationship of Rabbit towards Gwen.
Black Paper Moon
This picture in the song is the Master and Scarlet.
Here
You love that song too? It's one of my favorites! ^_^ Not sure how it describes Rabbit, though.... -.-
I loved Soul Eater. I saw the whole series almost two years ago. I loved it because it was one of the most deep and great animes I had watched in a long time.
This song describes Rabbit's relationship towards Gwen.
"Fairy Blue, it is only for you, that I would crush the stars, and put them on display..."
Rabbit will do anything for Gwen. He may make the journey more rough with his playong-god mischief, but he gives his entire heart to Gwen, and will keep her safe from harm. Seen the movie Labyrinth? Almost a love like with Jared and **^SARAH^**, but way less cold. And she doesn't even know who he is, just that there are words in her head...
"See you in your dreams, yeah, baby. Your nightmares too, that's where I'll find you."
Nightmares. Also could be thought of as in trouble. Rabbit will be there when Gwen needs him. Always...
"If you really put your faith in me when you're lost, here I am, forever with your soul. Waiting here above you patiently, just like the shining moon."
Rabbit wants Gwen to have faith in him. He needs it, because he doesn't want her to feel unsafe. He wants her to always know he's right there when she needs him. He's sad to ever see her afraid. He loves her, even if she can't remember him, nor have seen him yet.
"Fairy Blue, you are my everything. The reason I go on in this captivity. Eternally. If you raise your voice and call for me, I will find you my dear, wherever you may be. And I'll be sure to set you free from this ensnaring curse."
Rabbit has been so lonely, everyone seeing and forgetting him instantly. Obviously, depressing thoughts must have ran through his mind. And his life, lengthened to infinity, only able to die by anyone with bad thought and a weapon. He will find her if she is in trouble. And in this case, "ensnaring curse" may mean the Swarm, or the prospect of death.
"But even in those times, your words always echo within my heart. This is my promise. Fairy Blue it is only for you that I would smash the stars, and use them as a sign, to guide you. Any time that you're lost or afraid, or you can't see your dreams, I want you to look up and-Fairy Blue, you are my everything, the reason that I live in sweet captivity, so faithfully. And I swear you'll never be alone. When you're lost here I am, forever with your soul. We can make it through most anything, if you can just believe."
He will remain so loyal to her. If she just believes in him, he will guide her out of anything. He watches as others fall in love with her, but he remains loyal. He knows she knows nothing about him. And he knows she has right to fall in love. But he'll remain so loyal.
This was supposed to be the original, but my wii u was useless at getting it, so Quexi found the pic for me.
Normal Rabbit
I don't like to be the one to point this out....buuuuuuuut
ECHO, ECHo, ECho, Echo, echo, echo........
If nobody posts a major story movement by tonight, I have another story segment simmering in my head that I could post when I get home from work.
I don't know how, but you've influenced me to hold back the posts...
Which wasn't hard. I only burst with creativity when I listen to a good song...or get ideas from the mmorpgs I play...
lol /shrug
Here, have an epic song to inspire you. I think of the formation of the Core and Cradle whenever I listen to it.
Fall of Almire, coming soon to a roleplay near you.
I have an idea.
Two historic events are about to play out in this RP, so I want them to be as epic and moving as possible. Anyone who wants to take a crack at it should post a story proposal for each event, and whoever wins will get their story copy-pasted into the main story thread (grammatical errors corrected, of course).
The two events are as follows:
*the fall of Almire
-Vanaduke's insanity, transformation and destruction of Almire; what drove him to that point?
-Brandell and his citadel must survive the invasion so Vanaduke can curb-stomp it.
*Euclid's victory over the Morai
-must be through either an epic or clever battle
Let the contest begin!
I suppose Astraea, seeing her own army destroying Almire without being ordered to, would naturally try to help stop them. Try, that is. And when Vana finally turns, she'll try and bring him back from insanity. Again, the key word being try.
As for Kirito, he'll wake up and attack Diablo... Again.
Euclid runs with his squad out into the Morai open, fighting their way past the soldiers. There was something glowing out there, and it could be a potential weapon. Swinging their swords, and bombing their adversaries, they find themselves standing on a golden patch of ground. Euclid pulls out his residual energies scanner, originally used to track people in the dark when nighttime came. The scanner reads at a mad level, and Euclid turns it off to be spared it's screaming. This energy was altogether different. He looks at his own sword. If he could...oh yes! Clawing into the ground, the exact same ground Seatus happened to land his Spade on, a handle was discovered. His squadron holding off the Morai, Euclid rips open the hatch, and finds...great VOG! One of the CE storages. He grabs at the crystals, hauling as many out as he could. At least a truckload was in there! but what caught his eye...right at te center...was an incredibly large crystal, maybe the same volume as a tub. Jumping down, he pushes it up while Dmatter grabs at it desperately.
Climbing out and closing the hatch, the Morai realize what they've got, and press harder, squeezing the group together. "Dmatter," Euclid grunts as the Morai assault draws in. "Take the wiring out of your bombs, and wrap it around that crystal." Dmatter complies, throwing bombs and at the same time ripping out wires. The wires seem to eagerly grip the crystal, and soon at least seven bombs are attached. "Good," Euclid grunts. "Now activate them, and let's jump down into the hatch."
As the jump in, Euclid tightly grabs the hatch handle, holding it as hard as he can, as a loud eruption follows.
Freeze, Fire, and Shock. Everywhere. A rainbow of color, striking down our numbers. A whole legion, and a third dead. But it didn't die out. No, the blast stood there, frozen. A dome, feels like death watching our backs. Oh, but the horrors that could happen, if only one dark energy source met this elemental energy...
All it takes is only one member of the squad to have a Shadowtech Alchemer, and death is ours.
Begin proposal
Vanaduke carefully stepped over a dead body on the street. It had been 7 days since the siege of Al'Mire City had begun, and the Valhallan/Morai alliance armies weren't letting up. He went into his tower, scaled the flight of stairs, and stepped out onto the turret ramparts to get a better view.
What he saw discouraged him immensely. Not only were his Crusader legions nowhere to be seen, but the enemy had grown in strength and numbers. A sizzling fireball flew past his head and landed into a house, followed by a fire and screams, then silence. He went out of the tower onto the street and felt something tug at his robe.
It was a little boy, probably no older than 5, holding out his hands in a wordless plea for sustenance, as his mouth was too parched from thirst to speak. Vanaduke withdrew his canteen and handed it to the boy, then stepped into an alleyway. He found and slumped into a small corner and buried his head in his hands to cry.
After a few moments, he got up and went to the north gate, where the Mountain of Vog loomed over the city. He wiped away bitter tears as he fled into the mountain and came to rest at the Temple of Vog. There, he fell to his knees and cried, "Why me!? Vog? Can you hear me? Listen to my plea! I am only 26, with my whole life ahead of me!" He sobbed and croaked, "I have a family, a kingdom, and friends who love me! How can you let it all go to hell? ANSWER ME!!"
No answer came. He laid his head on the dirt and wept bitterly. A little black bug caught his eye, so he sat up and looked at it. It had the strangest purple eyes he'd ever seen. He picked it up and let it crawl around on his hand. "Well, at least YOU'RE satisfied with your life," he muttered sadly. The bug crawled up to his wrist and, to his painful surprise, began to bury itself in it. He shrieked and tried to fish it out, but he couldn't get to it. Soon, black streaks were running up his arm and into his chest.
He began to hear voices inside his head. "ThEy ArE wOlvEs, hUnGry FoR thE bloOd oF YoUr KinGdoM. tAkE It BaCk!!" As they raised their voices with ever-increasing urgency, his body began to change. He screamed as his body grew and bloated. His eyes lit up in flames, and his skin became hard and scaly. His scepter, or what was left of it, grew with him and became enveloped in dark flames.
Then he reopened his eyes.
__________
There was a tremendous crash and a small avalanche as a massive, hulking figure emerged from the mountain. Great demons and devils poured from the mouth of the mountain in droves and hurled themselves at the allied invaders. Both men and angels screamed and perished before the mighty onslaught, leaving nought but flaming ashes in their wake. Vanaduke, now disfigured into a vast, hideous monster, stood in the midst of the city. Fire leaped from his body and consumed everything in its path, both friend and foe alike. Soon, the entire city had gone up in ashes, now just a smouldering ruin of its former self. Every man, mother and child perished in the flames; not one had escaped.
Vanaduke looked around at the devastation he'd wrought. "No...how?...this couldn't have happened! I came back to save them! WHY AREN'T THEY STILL ALIVE!? NOOOOO!! CURSE YOU BLOODY WOLVES!!" He slammed his scepter into the ground, sending streaks of fire into a crumbled house. "I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!" he bellowed to the wind. With that, he summoned his fiendish armies to begin his crusade against those who sought to destroy his beloved kingdom.
End proposal
Any criticisms? Please, be as harsh and detailed as you can possibly be. If anything here feels off, if a particular word choice doesn't suit your fancy, if the whole scenario needs to be reworked, or whatever else you find wrong with it, tell me.
But also tell me what it does right, so I know what not to change should I have to make any.
It's great. Absolutely wonderful.
I deny my right of criticism.
But there is still things to be dealt with in the story thread. Unless...it's Kaijuhunter's "turn".
Rabbit is being as much of a nuisance to Diablo as he can while he waits for Gwen to finish. He'll restart his annoyances after this post.
Seatus is changing into his Jabberwock form, taking time and requiring Kaijuhunter to choose for Astraea to take the role of the White Queen and fight Scarlet, or for him to deny it, and a battle to occur with Seatus and two NPCs.
Alice hides in the shadows, overwatching things.
This will all end badly for Seatus...I will try to describe it afterwards...but understanding something from the viewpoint of another may prove difficult in this case...
Astraea has no idea who Scarlet is, but I know she will surely be p*ssed off due to the Red Queen's sudden appearance and hunger to destroy everyone. So, I'm going to list the order of things that must be done, and hopefully you guys can help me figure out what order they will be in.
I know for sure that Kirito's exile will be one of the last events in the story. That aside, we must also take care of:
-the fall of Almire
-Diablo's defeat (preferably via a joint effort by all the characters)
-Alpha Squad vs Morai
- Astraea discovering her own army's insubordination (they attacked Almire, a country Astraea saw as an ally, without her command.)
-Astraea vs Red Queen (Scarlet)
-Somehow tying up all of Seatus' lore
Let me know if I missed anything. So, in what order should these events take place?
____
EDIT: there's three somewhat minor things that have been nipping at my heels since I first noticed them. First of all, Seatus, this Rabbit guy is starting to get more attention in the story than your main character, Seatus himself. Why? Second, since when did he love Gwen? From what you wrote, she doesn't even know him! And is there some backstory to why he loves her? They barely know each other! And last but not least, there's one thing that I didn't understand in your last post.
"KILLING IS SUCH A NASTY HABBIT! ANY BEATING HEART, YOU STAB IT! YOU SEE POWER, AND DRIVE YOURSELF TO GRAB IT! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THEY'RE THE ONE PITYING YOU, DAMN IT! YOU'RE FEELING OUT OF PLACE, IS THAT IT?
That entire part was pretty good. It also summed up diablo quite nicely (or nastily. Whichever one) XD
what I didn't understand was the next part.
"I AM THE ULTIMATE THE FINAL, MY NAME IS RABBIT!"
First off, why the hell does Diablo care what Rabbit's name is? He cares only for blood and death. (Whoops, got him mixed up with Kirito.) what I really meant was that he only cares about power. Absolute power. Second, why'd you even include that sentence? For dramatic flair? Because, and I don't mean to be rude, it just threw me off. It had nothing to do with what rabbit was saying just moments before. Don't understand? I'll give you a modern version of what it would sound like.
Police man talking to thug: YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES! WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IS SICK AND WRONG, AND YOU WILL BE PUNISHED, YOU DEMENTED BAST*RD! I AM THE FINAL, THE ULTIMATE. I AM DEPUTY JONES!
Yeah. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Well, lastly, the last part of rabbit's speech annoyed me in one other way. He speaks of himself as the ultimate and the final. The wording makes me deduce that he sees himself as all-powerful. Well, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot to that. (Look it up) I bet Gwen or Astraea could easily take him out, and both of them can't take on Diablo. In fact, given how powerful he's become, not even everyone in the RP can beat him unless they siphon his energy. Please, dont make this Rabbit the center of attention. None of our characters know who he is (except Seatus) and he just shows up out of the blue to help (which, to be honest, would seem fairly suspicious in real life).
That aside, I'm not trying to insult you. I do not hate you either. I am speaking with as much respect as I can muster so as not to offend you. Still, I do enjoy reading your -albeit too complex for my brain- writing.
Again, I just needed to express my exasperation. And again, I apologize if my writing is not good enough, both in the story and discussion threads. As I have said once before, English isn't my first language.
______
I'll try to come out with a post soon
I know you don't hate me. I was talking about my lore when I typed that ^~^
1) He is getting more attention BECAUSE...well, you guys ARE paying attention XD...
2) He loves Gwen for unknown reasons, probably to be known in the next roleplay. But they have not just met.
3) The entire rhyme was a reference....remember RtC? Seatus talked of Diablo swallowing the Final once he awoke? And the Final being a senile Beast...well...yeah...
4) He helps out of the blue because he is going to take that role soon...
Rabbit is more than he decides to share...and I'll spare the lore, since it's not so complex that I might lose myself just thinking about it, thus screwing up the character's personality.
ALSO, lol, um...well, he's actually fighting Diablo with regular attacks...in an attempt to stall...you know? I don't think this character HAS fear...
5) Kaijuhunter, I never knew english wasn't your first language. Your posts are so good, and I enjoy reading them XD! Your english and grammar is pretty frickin' good!
Regarding your OOC comment, I think that Kirito should react somehow to Gwen's transformation. Then, Gwen will try to stop Diablo, and failing that, she will grant some of her power to the others in the group, and they will subdue Diablo together.
In the meantime, it's about time that Astraea spotted the damage to Al'Mire City. She will find a wounded, dying angel warrior there, and she could interrogate him about what happened there. Since he is dying, he decides to tell her the truth, at which point I'd expect Astraea to kill him in a fit of rage (or not, if you so desire). She might then either spot Vanaduke and try to convert him, or maybe try to contact Takiza, who as you will recall was in the White Council, which was in Al'Mire City. He survived, by the way, but only because he was busy helping Euclid take down the Morai government from the political side of things, as we will discover later.
Just an idea.
Well, waiting is awkward....
[REDACTED FOR THE SAKE OF DISCUSSION THREAD XD...]
So, back from my other responsibilities. I need to catch up on the story, expect a post in a bit. Also, can I even fit Axis back into this?
Yep. He'll come out in Al'Goth Citadel, which is under siege by an army of fiends by the time he comes out. You can decide how he reacts to that.
Is it too late to send in a app or am I able to send in one for the story. I am logged in through Steam so mah.
Yes, it's too late to send in an app. The story has just about reached its climax, and we'll be wrapping it up from here on out. If you're willing to wait, I might start up or resurrect another RP.
What kind of character were you planning to apply for? It can't hurt to have it critiqued before you really need it. ^.^
Well I was going to just send a knight I ahve been working on ingame but just retool it a little.
Name: Skotino
Gender: Male
Faction: Spiral/Nutural
Species: Human (I would assume)
Appearance: Always has on his armor, so face and body tone are not well seen/known. (Sinister Skelly set if you want final apperince.)
Arsenal: No Shield, but runs a Single Shadow weapon, Silent Nightblade. As well as Stealth/recon equipment.
Abilities: Can walk in the shadows and disappear mostly do to Stealth/recon gear. Can manipulate shadows (Shadow Guardian bit) to work with him. Because of this, he normally stays out of the light or area's where shadows are less present because it makes him weaker.
Personality: Not a very big talker but likes to socialize with people. Even if he only listens to you talking. Coming from a more country area he is well aware of what the world is like because he has seen first hand, the world is cruel. But you have to keep a smile on some how. Tends to have conversations with himself and craves any kinda treats/candies. Just can't help himself.
Biography: Born and raised out in the backwoods of the world this Shadow user tends to be a very kind and nice person, even if he sounds as if he wants to hurt you some times. Having little faith in a city but knowing the shadows well enough to be able to walk in plain sight and still look like a normal person, on account he has never taken his armor off infront of people. His motives are always second guessed and some times even lost because of his ubsert conversations with a person he just calls D. The only thing that keeps him out of the infermery on account of insanity is the fact he is well aware of the people around him and his nack for being quiet the escape artest.
Just for Thinslayer to look over. IDK I know he is not perfect but at the same time his straights are his weakness. As well as his mental state so to speak :/ Tending to just sit on the side line or help out one side over another with no clear reason why.
Interesting character. How would he play out in a roleplay setting? Being unwilling to talk much in a conversation doesn't work well in a roleplay, unless you are willing to put in the effort to make him active. With this kind of character, you'd really have to step up your game, practically making him a main character in the story. That's not a bad thing, but it is a challenge that some people can't handle well.
The fields of war lay before them. This...this is what war will do. Each member of Alpha squad stood upon the hill overlooking the legions of Moras. Each member thought of what war had done to each of them and what they saw. Families slaughtered like cattle, innocent people kill for a minor problem. This wasn’t the first war, and it sure as vog won’t be the last. But it could be the worst. This is what they lived for. This is what they trained for. But years of training and battles can never prepare you for war. Each member laid their hands upon their tools of trade. Swords for some, guns for others, but the strongest of all, the mind. Euclid slid out his blade as did Travid, and Grantz. Little-Lance pulled out dual Blasters while Dmatter tossed around a Freezing Vaporizer. Travid took out a flask and took a swing. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Euclid draw a crude map of the battlefield with his Calibur. “Travid, I want you positioned over at the sniper’s nest. Get up there and kill whoever’s up there and provide some support with the Standardized Blistering Rifle. Pick off as many enemies as you can and point out good cover.” He threw a sniper rifle towards him, “Dmatter, I want you and Little-Lance to work as a two man team. Dmatter, use those Freezing Vaporizers to launch a surprise attack. When they’re frozen I want Lance to start picking them off with his Blasters.”
“And me, sir?” asked Grantz. Euclid smirked,” You’re with me. We’re bringing this fight to them.”
---------------------
Travid hefted his recon shield onto his arm and activated it. Cloaking systems engaged. Fully cloaked, he ran down the hill with the SBR slung around his shoulder. After a quick climb up he grabbed the man in the nest and snapped his neck. He fell to the ground with a quiet thump. Travid pulled out the SBR and snapped open the bipod. Bracing it on the ledge he flashed green. Euclid saw the light on his hud. He turned to Dmatter and Little-Lance and gave them the all clear. They nodded and prepared their arsenal. 3..2..1, they bursted out of cover executing their part perfectly. Amongst the confusion of the snap freeze and the confusion of their dying allies, Euclid and Grantz jumped down with blades drawn. With a powerful swing Grantz cut down three troopers. A loud BANG was heard as a Mora head exploded. Travid ejected the shell and fired again. This shot blew off an arm. Little-Lance peppered them with quick shots as Dmatter sent them to an icy abyss. Euclid bashed a skull in with his shield when a Mora scout tackled him. With a knife in hand they wrestled for death, that is, until the scout’s head was shot off. Gore covered Euclid’s face as he gave a thumbs up to Travid. With all of the other legions mobilized and gone this left the one legion that lagged behind. And they were dying. With a quarter of their forces frozen and another quarter decapitated the odds weren’t in their favor. Euclid pushed his Calibur into his enemy’s chest. Blood traveled down the blade and dripped off the hilt. Grantz swung his blade through a group of Mora, poor sods never stood a chance. Blood covered his Troika from hilt to blade. Dmatter on the other hand was making ice sculptures by freezing them alive. They kept screaming and screaming begging him to make the pain stop. Their organs were shutting down as each one froze and to top it off their veins were freezing. The ice kept going, traveling to the heart and freezing it. It was then they really screamed. Have you ever watched and heard a man screaming to make the pain stop as his life was slowly and painfully sucked away? No man should ever. But Dmatter walked on, continuing his grim job. Travid loaded his rifle once more. Peering through the scope he fired a shot at another head. Quickly turning he saw some rubble, turning on the com he said, “I’ve got my sights on some good cover. Should keep you alive long enough. Just need to...” he trailed off as he took another shot. A man fell to the ground with a bloodied neck. “clean up the place.”
---------------------
Little-Lance shot down some men hiding behind broken down wall. Swift deaths to those who never deserved the pain, slow deaths to those who inflict the pain. That’s the code that alpha squad lives by. Lance loaded in fresh clips and begun his barrage again. ‘For every person you’ve killed you will pay, for every family slaughtered you will suffer, for every death your VOG DAMNED GOVERNMENT HAS MADE, YOU. WILL. DIE!’
---------------------
As the ground team took cover behind the rubble Travid loaded the last round into the SBR. Taking aim at a grenadier’s grenade bandolier he fired. The explosion took out the surrounding troops. Travid threw the rifle onto the ground deeming it useless. Climbing onto the ledge he jumped off. Summoning his wings he flew down to the ground team. They stood up from behind the rubble to examine the scene before them. They did it. They killed an entire legion. Raising their arms in victory, they gave off a victory shout. Let it be known that Alpha squad fought a legion and came out victorious.
Yes this entry is long. So, how was it? Criticism is, of course, welcome. This is my take on the Euclid's victory. Though now it's kinda Alpha squad's victory. I want the bad news first, then the good
Depends on what is going on. Trust me I have an idea for him but I rather not spoil it via the fourms. But to keep it brief his motives would be simple but yet would intel alot of planing and collecting on his part. But over all he would more or less be messing on all sides to make his plan come to light. I suppose it would be bad to say his over all goal would to bring something back that was lost. So main role would be fine supposing it comes to the attion of others later in in the story line. Since his plan is not short term gain as it is the long term win.
It would make more since if you understood he has a mass of group under him thus keeping his hands clean and allowing Skotino to walk around to others and interact if but slightly. Since he works for no-one inperticually(Sorry not the best speller :L) it only makes since his plans/goals would not be visible to most who to not understand his arts. With this in mind, the one he talks to D. is in his mind mind and only he can see him. This is talking into his 'Schizophrenia' making it more likely that when he is around people he tends to not talk much bit listen and or make him sound like he is talking to the person who is not their. As for his goal I would say this, it depends on the next Role-play that is going to a-cure. I can not say for sure, but he would not be a 'antagonist' but at the same time not a 'protagonist'. If he did come down to one, don't count him on your side because he is more likely to just get some one out of the way then let them mess up things set in motion.
If you want more please send me a message on Steam Just look for Darkwatck01. Its easier that way.
@Travid: I was pretty impressed with your writing. There's just one problem: They're up against an entire legion. 4-5 guys against an entire legion. A legion is about 5,000 men. Those are pretty long odds, and Euclid's squad isn't strong enough to fight them all. I was imagining Euclid leading a rallied army of Spiral Knights against the legion.
But otherwise, that was a pretty epic entry. :D
@Darkwatck: I don't use steam that much. Can I message you in-game? What's your IGN?
I'd like to find out if your writing is as good as your character. ;)
Same as you see. Darkwatck. I used that because one its easy to remember and this name is what I am well know as anyway.
This is what happens when I don't participate in a good Rp. :P
I just got off work at 11:00 pm EST (GMT -5) So ya, I just wanted to get a rough state of time of the people here as to deside something to my self.
That's definitely an Alice-song. :P
Her voice seems to belong to Alice, too. At least, in my imagination.
