Damn double posts...
Return to Cradle: Origins (roleplay discussion)
I can kinda see what you mean. Well, I'm not above criticism; what kind of development would you like to see explored further in the freezer? It's not too late to do a redact.
Regarding Wikipedia, consider this:
All sources of information have a risk of inaccuracy and bias, even scientific research articles written by experienced professionals. The advantage of Wikipedia is that it is collaborative, and written mostly by people knowledgeable and experienced in the subject matter. People often won't try to correct what they know nothing about. But like I said, all sources of information, Wikipedia included, have risks of inaccuracy and bias. It is not uniquely bad; on the contrary, I consider it more reliable, due to its collaborative nature. But you are certainly free to have an alternate opinion.
I'm going to redact me helping Dmatter since he only posts like twice a week -.-
The reason why Diablo is willing to sacrifice everything to have Astraea is because he values his child. None of his other women were able to produce one. If Astraea owns all his property and his child, Ikaros, is born to Astraea, she will inherit everything. So in a way, Diablo is in a win-win situation.
You do realize that Lily might still exist in this timeline, right?
Lily and I were born when the Knights came to Cradle.
If he wants her so bad, maybe he should just stick around in this timeline and wait for her. :D
The Star Dragon puts Seatus into a stasis and only uses him when necessary. Time passes differently in the Realm of Lost and Forgotten Souls, so that's how Seatus is technically older than most beings, even when he does suddenly exist in the timeline. Now, it's probably going to be a while before god-like beings fight in the exact same time and place as Lily when she was still a single soul.
Time for Axis to screw all of the council's plans up.
Seatus has no clue who he's up against. >:D
What's to be terrifying about your own Mother? That's the question that's scaring me o.o

I redacted my most recent part of the story branch. I didn't like how it was turning out.
Gwen needs some medical attention, since she passed out from the cold.
Gwen is quite herself at the moment. She is just passed-out. I think I'll introduce "mother" some other way. >:D
It's just the Gwen HE knows wouldn't pass out as often as....well, himself.
Gwen had good reason to pass out. She was 1) in the freezer 2) for a long time 3) wearing summer clothing. She's only passed out once so far.
It seems we've hit that point where certain people seem to flake out right when we're getting to the good stuff. Seriously it's always happened like this, and this is what usually leads to the downfall of the RP. IDK why people sign up for these major roles when they don't even check the RP daily.
I know what you mean. I'm afraid to say I've done it myself on a couple RPs; I think the last RP died that way. I check the RPs daily (almost every few minutes, in fact), but only post when it's convenient.
Speaking of which...
Kaijuhunter? Topoyozariane? Archemiday-Thebard? Nai-Chan? Frostrex? Dmatter? Travid? Where'd you guys go?
Where is everybody?
Okay, okay. I would've had a post up yesterday if people didn't redact their posts. Every time I nearly finish, the post I'm trying to reply to is either edited or redacted. Still, I should have a post up by tomorrow
I can finally log on my computer! Anyway, sorry about my inactivity, I'm writing a massive fiction right now, so I might not post for long intervals. On a side note, it is not an SK fiction, not that it matters anyway, since I never finish them, and no one ever reads them. Not trying to induce pity, it's a fact.
EDIT: @Gzilla: Things change in a matter of moments. A family member could die, someone's family might've arranged a surprise holiday(unrealistic, but anything can happen) etc etc.
Kozse and I had been working on a fanfiction too (well, mostly just me), but like you, we haven't finished them. I'm still interested in finishing it, so if you could criticize it and tell me what characters you want to read about next, I'd really appreciate it:
I went on a school trip to this place(not telling where it is), so I couldn't access my laptop for 2 days. But I'll get a post up soon enough.
I can't look at it, gimme permission, name is PiPeBom, you should get a notice for it.
Now try.
@Ultimaknightz: Diablo isn't supposed to be defeated yet. Do you mind if I combat-power-play Damian for drama's sake?
Thanks.
My mind is so screwed right now. Kinda like this.
Because Ideas are running low, both with my writing and this RP, posts may be short and there may be long gaps between them.
I don't really mind. :P
Though I have something planned. Perhaps when Diablo tries to swing his sword at Damian, Damian ducks and it slices Astraea's chains off. Then Diablo does his force choke thing and Astraea tries to help him, but gets choked herself. Then Damian hits Diablo and that makes him distracted long enough for them to escape his castle. DRAMA BOMB.
While there was nothing wrong with the writing itself, you still have the discussions between you and Kozse. Its irritating. But it was still good. That beginning was just like, WHOA! WHAT?!
@Aekuryi: lol welcome back. It's been a very interesting story thus far.
@everyone: I was thinking. I would like to introduce the Swarm again, but problem is, they haven't had any hosts to absorb. So what do they look like? Well, figured that if they are in any way related to the Snarbolock, they should resemble Snarbolaxes, correct?
Void Chieftan
Void Mage
Void Warrior
Arm of the Swarm
I also have some bonus lore for you: Valkyrian Warden Set
I'm almost done. Post should be up by sometime tomorrow.
I found some other pictures of Valkyries. OOO did a remarkably accurate job of designing Valkyrian armor.
Also, I have proof that Valkyries must summon their wings:
Lenneth
Lenneth with wings
Well a perfectly good fight scenario for everyone just went out the window ._.
I like a good fight. Gives reason to Fear Me.
1+army against 7
This seems legit.
You're going to have trouble with Seatus then because:
1) Seatus KNOWS the Gods.
2) Seatus doesn't believe in the commonly believed God.
3) Seatus refuses Death.
4) Death refuses Seatus.
Yeah, so...probably a handful of doom headed that way...
Gwen's already departed to the Owilite fortress. She's nowhere near Axis now.
Listed below is a dissertation on the various teleforce skills, which prerequisite skills they come from, and how they work.
Telepathy: creation and absorption of brain waves
-telepathic mind meld: mutual creation and absorption of memories
-telepathic communication: creation of directed brain waves, which are absorbed by the recipient's mirror neurons.
-mind warp: telepathic communication in non-mirror neurons.
-mind worm: forces the recipient to emit brain waves via one-way remote mind meld. Often used for clairevoyance.
-mind control: total mind warp
Telekinesis: anything that violates Newton's Laws of Motion
-force fields: passive telekinesis. A full-body shield requires knowing how to utilize telekinesis from every part of the body.
-energy capture: reverse force field. Only safe for beings capable of effectively storing pure energy. Gwenyvier, for example, was born with genetic traits allowing her to do so. This ability functions more or less like a mist tank.
Spiritual relocation: an out-of-body experience
-clairevoyance: relocating your spirit for indirect perception
-possession: relocating your spirit to another body. Often requires dislocating the resident spirit.
Spacetime warping: advanced form of telekinesis that manipulates spacetime
-teleportation: transporting physical matter through a temporary wormhole
-blinking: locally slowing time. Often used for dodging or pseudo-teleportation. Aging accelerates for the duration of the activity.
I send 10 guys, Seatus kilsl them all, that's a given. I send around 4 dozen of them, Seatus STILL kills them all. *Table flip*
Well, Seatus is a Snarbolax. Did you intend the men to survive or something? :P
Naturally, he would have left survivors. But when someone wants to kill something they utterly don't understand, he's going to paint the halls in their blood.
If you guys are wondering, I'm waiting for Kaijuhunter to post in the story thread as Astraea.
Um, Ultima, I wanted to ask. Astraea's chains are made of pure Volcanic Steel, so an accidental hit wouldn't break her bonds. Would you mind redacting that part of your post? I'll post as if that event didn't happened; Diablo will have to somehow be driven off, and someone else would have to help Damian break Astraea's shackles.
Like Damian interfering before was a straight up deus ex machina, but the fireball felt like one too, as it just abruptly ended some character development. And that's Wikipedia, you trust that stuff?
