You can get out of prison whenever you feel like it. The Spiral Order certainly won't be releasing you. :)
Game of Death (roleplay discussion thread)
Huh, I am not corrupted anymore because of Antasma Purified me and I need to go to Emberlight to get some items but the strong self-curse sucks.
A bad guy who wants to be good died. Too bad. :(
Here's another application: xD
Name: He is known as the, 'minion.'
Age: 'unknown.'
Height: 145 cm
Weight: 30 kilos.
Biography: No one knew anything about Minion, except that he was one of Serris' best minions. Most of them lasted 2 minutes. He lasted 5 months. He is known to replace 'Finders', assist the Operator in any way, and assassinate people that annoyed Serris. (Yes, he's that evil.)
Personality: Once a Recon Ranger, he was corrupted by Serris, and is now Serris' minion. Inside, he is afraid he will be thrown away, like the other minions. He tries to break free of this trance, but he can't. Instead of the full body mind control that Serris does, Serris gives an order, and 'Minion' has to do it. Or he'll experience pain. A LOT OF PAIN.

Applications review:
Everything is in order, because I'm a RP Mod. I can do stuff that is OP for all I care. Crazy even. So.... this isn't crazy, isn't OP, so I guess this is okay. Thin, maybe check this?
@Topoyozariane: Aw, the Operator didn't have to die! But you did such a splendid job of writing the death scene that I'm inclined to let it be permanent. :P
Looks like Minion could be an interesting character. I suppose Serris could use someone 'loyal' to him. :)
@Troloe: It looks like we have a problem, so...let me help you out here. First off, our characters need to do what is best for the story. Desna and the Operator has this epic story going: once upon a time, they were both lovers, but something happened to them that separated them. Desna joined the Recon Rangers, the Operator became a minion of Serris. Neither of them really lost their feelings for each other. The Operator eventually took the opportunity to change sides and become good again, but Serris took control of his body and made him still be evil. And even though Desna still liked the Operator, she fired bullet after bullet into his body without shedding a tear. She had the tremendous emotional strength to put it all behind her so she could work in the interests of justice.
Now imagine how that story changes when Antasma miraculously manages to get in between them and absorb the bullets. Firstly, why the heck would he do that!? Antasma is a villain! Villains don't save people! Either you need to get your character concept in order, or I've got the wrong impression of him. Secondly, absorbing the bullets totally destroys the emotional moment. Desna killing a former lover would have been a great story, but taking her shots prevents that story from being told.
Finally, taking her bullets and rushing back to Lucario breaks the boundaries of realism. Really, the prison is quite far away from Recon Ranger HQ. You're not going to be warping there to take bullets anytime soon. And since you've now got bullets in your body, you won't have the strength to "rush" back. It's not happening.
But enough of the problems; it's time for construction. When you gave me your application for Antasma, I imagined a scheming villain who was prone to monologuing. I mean, you said he was chatty, right? Chatty + kill everyone = monologuing villain. Antasma has thus far been anything but that. Being a weaver, he has the power to do some pretty villainous stuff, and could plausibly be a miniboss or even a final boss. For a villain like yours, conversations, not attacks, are key to making him fit in the story. Back up your conversations with your powers. Scheme and plot with your friends and minions (like Lucario someday, perhaps?).
You're not a savior. You're a villain. So be a villain. ;)
I will change that
((OOC: I never really thought about that but I have got so many tests at school which are tearing me apart and I am struggling to think of ideas))
Well, I'd have to manage to read all of the story within less than a day to make a character.
Which I can't do easily.
Hey Lim! You can be the Minion's sidekick! *joking.....*
Anyways, maybe a Recon Ranger? Desna did need medical assistance. You can be the guy that goes over!
@Thin: Yeah..... 'loyal'.... Technically, he still has the same body, but he gets controlled by Serris. He can like resist, but will end up in a whole amount of pain.
"Noooo Master! Noooo! I've done my task, didn't I?" I whimper at Serris.
"Yes. Yes you did. I just like torturing you." That brings a grin to his face, and he strikes out at me with his elemental powers again. I get thrown into the air, crashing into a wall. 'I hate this guy' I think.
Sorry dark, but I just can't think of a post that would move our plot in any way, I can really only think of "observation" posts which do nothing. And, even more annoyingly, I JUST thought of something I could have posted when we were in that transport thingy on the way to the watch...
...WAIT! I just realized I could post said thing now and it'll still be relevant. So really, this post is just me reassuring you that I'm still here, and the fact I've checked everyday. Oh well. I'll post now.
It might take some time for me to respond. I have to work from might night to 7am for a bit but when I get off work and wake up I will try to get a response in so forgive me ._.
GAHHH!!! I'm going crazy!!!
Could someone please summarize where I left of? I've read through some of it but I'm really confused.
Thanks.
Don't worry, I've been treating all the players like a party (which includes you). The party got rescued by Desna and her Recon Rangers on their airspeeder, caught the Finder/assassin on the way out, briefly set down at the Recon Rangers' HQ, and anyone who didn't stay there went with Deadman to the Darkwatch's guild hall.
So you're currently in the Darkwatch guildhall atm.
Nothing.... I just want to type something in here. :P
Just so you know Topo, I'm not bleeding, Nevo is. http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/87953?page=4#comment-791344
Eve is kinda your responsibility, not Topo's. He was just going to "play with her" as in "mess with her," not as in "power play her."
I'm not sure what to do with Desna at this point. Any suggestions?
Also, I'd like to tell the assassin's story some time soon. I intend to have her join the rest of us once Hexlash gets moving along. *hint* ;)
Nitscu needs to wake up and scare her or something.
Desna could get a message from Darkwatch saying their is a swarm creature nearby. Desna then goes back to the base and sees the Dark creature (Antasma) which they battle. (Could be a battle scene which Lucario can appear if Desna gets weak).
Feel free to explain what you see from a building perspective. But I guess I should explain what the rooms look like your character was told to move to. Well the 'staging area' is just a massive area with transports, workmen, and the like moving across it. On the other side are the men and women of the Watch who do fight/do the missions passed down from Section 37. The Brake room is a Mess hall. So think of a cafeteria, only able to hold more then Seven-hundred at a time. After that, you would be able to go to the training grounds(On the side of the Staging area) were the equitment is set up just like the Orders. Even having some things that are for each 'class' type. Again the Shadow Guardian's are not present at all in that area. And its' not a attachment aura around Skotino, its because he is Dark Matter corrupted, but I don't expect people to know that right off the bat. Since he suffers from Skizo he was able to understand the mental problems and cope with them.
Sorry for lack of posts... I have things, and I can't think of anything to write, and I can't bring myself to read and catch up as of Troloe's first battle scene (maybe there's others?) as I'm reading a book I like and, no offense, would much rather read that (you guy are doing good as far as I know, I'd just rather finish it). I kind of just need some advice for a goal for Klepto to have, he's not in danger (unless I missed something related to him when I skimmed over the posts, looking for thing related to me), and kind of on his own with not really any objective. Any posts I could make would just be him mulling around. So yeah. HALP.
Remember, your in a place were you can rest. Also, it would be easy for you to ask about getting to the Base if the Rangers. This being a simple question to Skotino, but the thing about your situation is neat because of the fact you would have an idea of what kinda items would need to be send over with you should you want to and or just request a transport to the battle. Just and idead :/ your in a place were you hold a good about of power over what could happen next.
Would you mind explaining why Antasma is so keen on hurting Desna and her allies?
First, being born with a curse would kill you at birth, Lucario, being effected with the curse exspecially one that strong would more or less make him a Wrath at that point after death making him all but un'unkill able'. However a Shadow Gaurdian, or some one with purifying abilitys would be able to kill him again and let him pass on. Because of the Nature of the cursed creatures and the fact he was able to speak with the black Kats, I would not put it past Lucario's abilities at this point to be able to spawn some Carnavon. If not many but one right now. For lack of a better word I would say that he has a closer understanding and abilities to that of Margrel, maybe not as powerful right now. But my point being, he is a ghost that died with a Curse that would follow him into death.
@Thin: Antasma wants to corrupt anyone who is strong enough such as Desna who would be a great asset to the swarm if she was corrupted
@Dark: I somewhat understand what you mean but since there are no more curse enemies alive and no curse ghosts except him. How can he revive or even summon a Carnavon?
Fair enough. Mind that there are a few limitations:
*The target must have an open wound.
*Swarm seed must come in direct physical contact with the wound.
*There must be a direct biological link from the wound to the target's brain (only a concern with cyborg characters).
This requires Antasma to be carrying Swarm seed. Most Void forms do not.
I mentioned before, Antasma still had 1 swarm seed, he never got the chance to restock with more swarm seeds and only has 1 left. So, if he times it right, Desna can be corrupted.
It would be up to Lucario to figure it out. I am simply stating what could be based of the facts presented to me from what I was reading. Should things turn out well for him, Lucario could very well be enough of a threat to send even the Swarm running away with their tails between their legs. An since he is a 'Ghost' he can't die again. He is cursed to walk the plains between worlds. so have fun Lucario.
I have an idea how to revive but it could be risky. I will basically lose most of my ghost health to spawn a Carnavon which I enter and if I survive long enough and carry my body above me. I will be very weak during the moment.
Well let me add this to your though if you would like. The Carnavon's will only be as strong as you were when you summoned it. Maybe a little more so if the curse it has is strong. Now in your current state you need to understand how to summon it so it might be attached to your emotional state which seems to be crying. So, summoning the creature would be easy but you might want to make the people who your summoning it infront of understand your friendly and it is as well. The Swarm can't infect the already passed so in this fight they would more or less fear you. But that does not mean your out of the woods. Should your Carnavon be destroyed you will be left weak, so be sure to direct it. Also the undead can't really posses the undead. Since they work on the same level.
OK then, time to start the next part of my story!
I can't follow this story! A little help please? I tried posting a post, but somehow it didn't show.
Let's see...
After you're minion guy died... Basically, Trololoe and Lucario's characters sort of flew off into a side story, about the last curse creatures, and the last Gran Faust, and blah blah; then I had my own little conversation with Thin's assassin. This all happened as Trololoe and Lucario's characters attacked Desna's base, they retreated, then Desna and Duad had a little threaten thing with Lucario, then Antasma goes and grabs an army from the Swarm dude, which then presumes to prepare to attack Desna's 'base'. Antasma comes and kills Lucario, and blah blah later, Everyone winds up in an abandoned building where my character and Thin's assassin were chilling, and then now we're all sort of cooped up there planning our next move, with Antasma as our main opposing force. I realized this and kinda was like "woah" when I discovered how far we had diverted from the original plot, so I brought up Serris. Tadah?
Really, now that I think about it, I'm a bit confused too, but whatevs :D
Well-said. Serris has got to be behind everything, and not far behind. I'll think on it. :)
I can't think of any In character and reasonable excuse to get Klepto back with everyone. I'm seriously between a rock and a hard place with posting. Until I can think of any ideas, I guess I'll catch up with the story.
Why not just chill and train yourself, maybe you can grab one of those Combat Skills while you're there, then hitch a ride to join us, after all, you're really smart, and I'm sure an opportunity will turn up for you to use dat brain o' yurz.
Let's see, you said the options were: "having Claire go out and kill somebody, sending Desna and team out to do some fighting, or exploring the relationship between Serah and Nevo some more."
Hmmm, anyone have any other ideas?
In the name of surprise, I think that you should keep your ultimate decision to yourself ;3
I suggest that perhaps you have them do some reconnaissance work? After all, they don't actually know that Desna's main base has been attacked/is going to be attacked? Perhaps they would benefit from a carefully planned out action. I'm thinking they figure out what their current situation is so far, such as their medical condition, immediate threats, supplies, and what threat they should focus on.
Sounds like good advice. I've already got a post up, but it doesn't preclude the exploration of the aforementioned possibilities. I'll look into it. Anybody else got ideas?
Tentatively, I'm thinking that since they're still discussing battle tactics (though getting sidetracked by paranoia), they might move on to settling the details, like where they will hit, where they will run, etc., and including relevant information like what Hexlash mentioned. After all, it's important to know who's ready to fight, who's not, and how long they can keep it up.
Also, I could imagine a fight brewing over Claire/Averia's presence in the group. Most of those in the group are (understandably) afraid of her, and possibly for good reason (though I can't/won't confirm or deny it). It's about time somebody sparked the fight. ^_^
Great! I can see the tension building as well, but we'll just ahve to wait and see how that goes; won't we? :3
lol okay! Yeah, we'll have to wait and see whether the tension sparks a fight. If someone else doesn't do it...
...then I will. >:D
Muah ha ha ha ha!
I am back up and alive now and I seemed to timed it right.
You're a pokemon now? ...
http://league17.ru/img/pkmn/shine/448.jpg
WHAT?!?!
It's just a body Nova, because my old body has a cut on the neck which was caused by Dark's shadow guardian and then Antasma launched a plasma bolt into it basically making my old body useless...
If I was to use my old body, I would die again within 20 minutes of reviving.
Just wanted to clarify that Nitscu carries his Combuster on his left side, and his Glacius on his right. Since he is naturally right-handed, he instinctual reaches for the Combuster, but in a time of urgency, he would probably just pull up the Glacius. His Voltedge is sheathed on his back, and he doesn't normally take it out, because he enjoys the counter acting forces of heat.
And just to confirm, Thin, Claire doesn't know Nitscu's name right? You're using it because of omniscience, if I am correct in my assumptions, but anyways... :D
Correct, Claire doesn't know Nitscu's name, as telepathy I not one of her piste abilities.
Teleporting the entire Swarm to fight a losing battle is EXTREMELY bad strategy. The Void Mind would never permit it. Also, if the Swarm could teleport anywhere it wanted, Cradle would be overrun in a few days, so I don't think the Swarm can just teleport to Antasma on a whim. They're stuck in the Unknown Passage and the lower depths of the Clockworks, only able to teleport between large collections of Swarm Seed.
We also need to limit the amount of combat taking place. This isn't exactly a point in the story where there's supposed to be a climactic battle, so in my opinion, it has gone on for quite long enough.
No one else saw Daud going crazy, Berserking, on the battle field or are they just giving up to the fact its Daud.
(Psst, Nova! Nitscu has not told anyone his name yet! And even if he did, he'd tell them his 'fake' name!)
Thin you there? I am waiting on you before I can make a new post xD Just asking is all en?
Yikes, I didn't realize you were waiting on me! I'll have to go back thru the posts again...
Can I please get out of the prison yet?
EDIT: WHY THE LONG WAIT!?!?!?!
