I was wondering if you attached an accessory to a 4 star armor, and then later upgrade it to 5 star, will the accessory remain attached? (Just like UVs)

So, Ive beet vanaduke with my Guild a lot of times (31 tokens) and I still cant seem to handle it alright, I have two questions here About my Shield and My cap for FSC and Lord Vanaduke. Ill ask you to please specify your answer, also thanks for your attention :)

1) Divine Veil or Vog cub Cap?

2) Grey Owlite Shield or Crest of Almire?

3) Polaris or Agent Peacemaker? (Working on my 4th Weapon slot upgrade.)

Faust with Beast Low and Construct Med

I know this has been brought up before but, is it worth using an armor that say has Normal/Piercing defense and pairing it with a helm that has Elemental/Shadow defense? I know many people say stacking is good, but what about the 4 way split??
Does it work or does it leave you helpless because its too mixed up?
I currently wear Fallen Crown (Normal/Shadow) and a Vog Coat (Normal/Elemental) but find myself wishing i had piercing defense (apart from a shield)...
Any input is appreciated!

my usual set up is the pepperbox/master blast bomb setup, my other weapons ia a shadow alchemer and a freezing vaporizer, and i need a Pvp setup because i learn something, the pepperbox for no reason, cant do the vacum effect against players in pvp, so im trying to get my shaw alchmer and freezing vaporizer upgraded,

and so im wondering, should i get the shadow vortex, of electron vortex for pvp? normal clockworks?

Right now I have a faust, avenger and ascended calibur, all very close to being 5 starred. So since I've got the CE and when I'm bored, should I get a Barbarous Thorn Blade to maximize my damage output on certain strata or just be happy with the above. Is it worth it or not?

I was wondering if VPS by itself with no UV's has maxed normal defense already.. in other words, would a Normal UV have any use at all?

I read the Spiral Wiki before posting this and it says that piercing weapons work well against Lord Vanaduke. The way my arsenal is right now I have a couple of options towards making a Vanaduke-run specific gun and would like to know what everyone's preference was before I spend the ton of CE it would cost to make them. I have between the Callahan, Argent Peacemaker, Sentenza, Blitz Needle, or even Volcanic Pepperbox to choose from. Which would work best and why?
