This thread is about the suggestion for making an offline engine for the Spiral Knights franchise.

This suggestion is half one of it's own and half one in relation to the Workshop suggestion I posted earlier:

The argument:

1) Map maker
An offline engine would allow users to make map submissions, as well as playtest them locally. This would work best with the Workshop Suggestion and could easily be included with the MMO in Steam (Much like many other steam gaming including SDK tools)

Optimizing Java and the Game

This thread is about the suggestion for working on the engine and optimizing it and the Java VM that is included with the game.

I know this request will be the most-intensive one out of the many I may suggest, but I feel that it would be one of the best things for the game.

While personally I believe Spiral Knights should eventually move off Java itself (Much like MS is doing to Minecraft for the win10 version), I know that if anyone can make a good Java based game it would be people who have worked for and with Three Rings for years.

An argument for Steam Workshop Submissions

This thread is about the suggestion for having workshop submission much like Team Fortress 2 does for cosmetic items and other content.

While being able to hot-swap cosmetics locally would be a nice feature, the main purpose of the suggestion is to find popular user content, and participate with the playerbase to bring these as official included content while providing the creators appropriate compensation much like how TF2 does it.

Regarding mineral colors

Well, I'm not really sure this thread is aimed to be a full-fledged suggestion, but rather a somewhat uncoordinated, random ramble about OCD and virtual, colored crystals.
I know maybe I shouldn't try too hard to bring in logic to some things but anyways...

First of all: I'm "new" to SK. I've been playing this game for about a year and a half, with mayor pauses because of university, etc...

Remove Alternative Threads (AT) please. There's only a need for primary threads. We're all sick of seeing duplicates or even almost carbon copies of posts such as these:

Pacing the mission system

So I pretty much say this all over the place all the time so I figure I may as well make an actual suggestions post on it.

The biggest issue that Spiral Knights has is pacing. We can argue the forge later but right now I want to focus on the mission system. Early game we are pushed through missions too fast, only to smash into a hall of heroes and completely destroy the illusion of progress. Late game missions move on so slowly, especially since the hall of heroes become more and more of a grind.

two suggestions concerning accessories

I goddamn love me some crescent-style helms, but I find it annoying that a lot of them dont allow you to put accessories where you want them.
what am I talking about?
well, first of all, lets see what crescent-style helmets actually encompass. first you have cobalt, solid cobalt and mighty cobalt (kind of), these have slots for side, back (except for mighty) and front, missing the top slot. then we have crescent recolours, having slots on the back, side and top, missing the front slot. lastly, there are the crescent proto helms and guardian helms, both of which have all four slots.
