Suggestion Compilation

This thread is for a compilation of all the suggestions I have seen that are more for the upgrading of this game rather than personal wants or complaints. However, I will at least make sections for balance issues and will gladly change this post to reflect new ideas! If any of the suggestions here seem familiar, it's because I am taking content from your post. Be happy, cause devs look at posts like this more than individual posts, mainly because compilations get more replies and views.

Content:

*Dye for gear
*Items to create weapon particle effects
*Guild tabards and other gear
*The achievements are mostly lame. 10 swords? Depositing 1 mineral? Almost all of them are easily achievable with nil effort, which takes away from them being achievements. Make more difficult ones, and make the ones there more difficult. Instead of 10 swords, you should make it ten 3-star or five 5-star swords. Things like that go a long way in making a player feel they have accomplished something.
*More Quests with rewards
*Expansion beyond the clockworks, maybe to the surface for areas would be neat
*Alternate paths within any given level to other parts of the cogwheel, as opposed to waiting at the gate at the end of each level.
*More types of trinkets!
*Mini-bosses
*Chance of seeing rare content such as special treasure or mobs in dungeons (Not counting Challenge rooms or love puppies here)
*More options in the Advanced Training Hall, such as different mobs for testing damage and stuff or..
*Simulation Room http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/22328
*Plushies & Action Figures
*A vendor in the Main Square of Haven for selling random loot
*New Achievement! (Weapon of Grass Destruction) Awarded for cutting down 100,000 bushes.
*Houses!
*Mist Tanks that are purchasable with Tokens from Brinks . Maybe like 10-15 tokens per tank?
*More weapon types
*Mini-games for bits of CE
*Larger variety of charge attacks, such as ones that look like Giant Lichen Colony spiky ground attack and Retrodes beam attack.
*Have certain sets of achievements unlock costumes or other rewards after they are completed.
*Guild Hall http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/2538
*Community Levels Editor http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/15965
*Craftable Vials http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/21490
*Allow the ability to upgrade other people equipment through a temporary trade window at the alchemy machines. This might be unbalancing with recipes, perhaps.

UI Settings:

*Allow options to add preference for language havens
*Full Inspect should save your preference.
*Last known login date for a user, for guilds and friend lists.
*Having the ability to have other chat boxes for tells and other filters would be good.
*Indication that an ally has been revived
*Ability to switch out arsenal sets with an equipment profile
*Guild Message of the Day
*Ability to arrange arsenal tabs in the order you want, for better organization

Auction House:

*Auction House should have filters
*If a person has bid on an item, they should be able to buyout the item pro-rated for what they bid on it, so they definitely will have crowns for it.
*Preview Option for items
*Allow clearing of the old auctions under "My Bids" tab

Graphics:

*Environment objects can block the sight of character from the player. However, is this intentional?
*Someday add a model viewer or Costume Panel for trying on any armor or weapon.
*Costume Slot for Shields!
*Further graphics reduction settings, disabled fog/backgrounds
*Perhaps some camera angle adjustments
*Thrown potions are just icons, can we have actual 3d potions?
*Option to change personal color for CE or crowns
*Weapon Charge Colors http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/10950
*More female-like graphics for armors
*Make trinkets visible on avatars

Other Balances:

*Mecha Knights are not worth the 5 energy used to make them work.
*Treasure Vault Improvement http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/19233
*Blast Network Balancing http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/22500

Sound:
*Sound effect for when gates switch inside the Clockworks, so that if someone is waiting for a gate to switch and they walk away from their computer, they can hear the gate switch back.

Cold Iron Vanquisher needs some balancing too.

I just made a Cold Iron Vanquisher just to find out that it does LESS than a Leviathan Blade vs undead! What the heck is up with this? Is it intentional to screw over unsuspecting players? CIV should have BETTER damage than the Levi Blade because its not as easy to acquire the recipes.

Most of your suggestions are

Most of your suggestions are ok, except...:

*Utility belt items that cost energy to activate > lolno;

*Guild Gates > ...what? No, guilds are supposed to be fun, not a requirement to play exclusive stages (A.K.A. not a requirement to HAVE fun);

*Mounts > Wait what. We are playing in little random dungeons and three little hub-cities, not in a "open-world" like WoW;

*The achievements are mostly lame. > Opinion. Eventually, new achievements will appear, so don't worry;

*Fallen Set = crap > Well, I don't have one, but people say it's one of the best armors for Citatel runs, so yeah.

Those were not my suggestions, just what I collected. I will admit though, the Fallen set is a bit weak given its comparison, though on second glance, not as bad as I first thought.

I don't think guild gates would be some exclusive stages either, though given what you are thinking I guess it is silly to try and describe what guild gates would even be useful as an idea.

As for mounts, I can definitely see this game expand beyond Haven, and faster travelling in the future might be nice, though given right now, I guess they arent too useful either.

And if you think the achievements are good, what about them is good to you?

I support these

I support these ideas:
Dyes
Mini-Bosses
Cockwork expansion (Although I'll settle with about a million more map sets, instead of just going through maps that have the same map section (hard to explain, based around that after playing the game for a few days, you know all the map sections that can generate)
Costume for sheild

Bombtastic set change particularly. There's no point in upgrading the set other than for barely any more defense, should be some extra damage.

Yes and yes.

Many good suggestions. Particularly:
- More quests
- Mini bosses
- Costume dye
- Most of the UI suggestions
- Plushies (I want a real snipe... <3)

I think being able to change personal color for CE or crowns is pretty clever as well.

A suggestion:
Temporary trinket slots are a pain. I think knights should get one trinket slot to start with, just like weapons and armor, but if that's a no-go then I'd fork over plenty more energy for a permanent slot rather than paying the current price for a temporary slot.

If you don't want your CIV, can I have it? I have 2-3* gear and am struggling to level up ANY of my gear. It'll take me MONTHS to get to full 3*. If it's not a total waste on your resources and a pain in the butt to do, can I have it?

MY suggestions

These are my suggestions from playing quite a few MMO's

-We should be able to vendor any equipment. Even if its bound. I'm not asking to be able to trade it or put it on the AH, but I've got a bunch of gear pilling up that im not going to use anymore and I dont want to have to unbind each item to get rid of it. I can't even throw it away. Let us vendor of what we dont want at maybe half/quarter of the level prices.

-Being able to preview in the AH

-Being able to preview recipes

-Put a junk vendor/Crafting Machine closer to the AH. Its a main HUB where everyone hangs out and it would be convenient to be able to sell some stuff off and make our items without running back and forth.

-When posting something into the AH, instead of showing the items we are already selling, show us the current listing of the item we are trying to sell then to make it easier to determine what we should list it at. (Maybe a separate tab for this)

-In the "My Bids" Section, let us be able to clear out old auctions that we have won/lost. Also be able to clear out things we are no longer going to try to bid on. Its getting annoying having 50 things up there trying to find the one item in the ever growing list that we want to put a bid on.

-It would be greaet to be able to do upgrades on other peoples weapons. They have a beast basher and I can advertise that i have the recipe to make it big. They drop it into a temporary trade window and I am able to use my materials to upgrade it. (for a fee of course)

Well?

-We should be able to vendor any equipment. Even if its bound.
Our stuff can already be sold to vendors in the bazaar. Did you un-equip it first?
Warning: We won't get much out of it.

-Being able to preview recipes
You already can do this. Preview is just broken this weekend.

-When posting something into the AH, instead of showing the items we are already selling, show us the current listing of the item we are trying to sell then to make it easier to determine what we should list it at. (Maybe a separate tab for this)
Aw come on, it's not that hard to throttle between the first and last tab. :D

Agreed. Very good idea.

Like in warcraft eh? Seems very sensible.

I took into consideration the suggestions. Honestly, I agree with Fern's assessment. The Town Square does need a junk vendor, though.

Some of my new weapon ideas.

Some of my new weapon ideas. You don't need to add them, but hey if you wish go ahead.

Typhoon: Tier 5 Windmillion
-Would have a small spiraling wind around it's pure white and green blade skin, and the spinning part would be whirling with an almost glow.
-The spirals it shot out as a windmillion would be upgraded to the charge attack size, and they would pierce unlike how the smaller one did not.
- The charge attack would be replaced with a spiraling wind gust with lights that are spiraling in the area, not much lights but enough to make it cool, and it would have a suction effect. Much like the Graviton bomb.

All of these would be effected by the sword icon (such as Wolver line and things like that)

-Dual swords: 10 Strike weapon (5 slashes from each blade)
You swing about 10 strikes as fast as a striker, although all of it's full damage (unlike strikers which is 5 full 5 half), you don't move forward much and you dont knockback at all. Therefore you can't run up and chase something, but you're not pushing it too far either. A very risky weapon to use, but very rewarding if done right.

-Great Axes: 1 swing weapon
1 swing, ultimate power. it'd basically be for hit and guarding people. Maximum results. It would also have good range (or maybe really bad to balance it out?)

-Gauntlets: 4 strike weapon:
the first Three hits are rather quick, and can be used well, but the fourth strike takes 3x longer for 3x the damage, and does massive pushback.

All of these would be effected by the gun icon (Like the stetson).

-Shot guns:
Weapons basically fire 3 bullets in front of you, and charges are up to the weapon, but it's more so for crowd control. Up close, sure, maximum results but you need to be touching for it to do that.

-Snipers:
The gun charges and shoots a powerful, piercing shot in a straight line. It hits guarding robots and trojans regardless of where you charge it. (Front or back). Great range, decent power. DPS not as useful up close, but much safer.

-Rocket Launchers:
Much like missile turret. The missile would only be shot upon the charge, and the not-charge would make you perform an explosion right in front of you (not very large though). Even at t5 it would probably only do an explosion of that of a t2-3 bomb in range, but it'd still be impressive in both it's AoE and Damage. Although, when charging, your movement speed is reduced more then usual so it's not too overpowered in arenas and the like.

If you think any of that is too OP, but still like the idea, you can tweak it if you wish.

a normal line for the antigua

a normal line for the antigua and sealed sword. And I mean one that has normal damage and works the same as the 3* but with the same scaled up damage and attributes as the GF and DA.

Maybe the Sealed Sword 4* has a higher chance of a status, and the 5* creates a field like a stat bomb of whatever stat it chose.

The antigua 4* and 5* have just have normal damage, but have higher base damage (see prismatech line). Maybe the 5* has an autogun-eqsue charge?

Also buff the sudaruska.

For When CE Prices Get Absurd

Just in long term planing, the trading for Mist tanks with tokens is a great idea. If you also allow players to purchase these tanks with in-game tokens, the need for CE will go down as well. If you make these tokens slightly rare (or just have to trade 100 of any one set of tokens), however, and allow the tanks to stack during crafting (i.e. use 8 tanks to craft a 5* item), more tanks will become valuable. Thus the demand for said tanks will be higher, yet still accessible for active players.

The effects: People will have to buy CE to go anywhere fast (like it is now). And just maybe the slight price drop of CE a bit.

The idea has flaws, but I do believe it has some merit... Especially if prices ever skyrocket.

Bild des Benutzers Orangeo

I think using tokens seems

I think using tokens seems ok, but no stacking for crafting. Then OOO would probabaly make allot less revenue.

Anyhow, MY IDEA, >_>
Remove the "your search text is too short", from the AH, or nerf it sort of. It's odd that I can't type in "regal" and look at all the regal accsesories becuase it's "too short". Yet I can type in "autog" for autoguns, and get loads of results >:U. Absurd, onto teh list if yeh please.

Bild des Benutzers Dirge-Knight

Point Conceeded

That is true. That is why this should only be used later, once CE prices are absurdly high, or if the player base is already not purchasing energy. This was by no means meant to be a recent change.

Guild tabards would have to

Guild tabards would have to be expensive CE-wise to justify the expense. Every single tabard or chapeau that entered the economy was at the cost of 10$. Although it was technically "free" with the purchase of CE, I don't see Guild tabards being available unless players pay a price tag.

It would be cool to be a patch themed around Guilds though. Tabards, improved Guild halls, a reward system for Guild vs Guild PVP, etc.

Is for the Party Status Bar to show me the full healthbar of all the players in the party, instead of just stopping at 20 pips even when the player has 25 or 30 pips.

Armor Balancing Suggestion

Buff the Cobalt/Azure Guardian armor/helmet! We could do this by giving it an increased shield health bonus, increased movement speed bonus, or extra health.

I can totally get behind a

I can totally get behind a sort of an "Achievements Journal" which could sorta be like tasks assigned to you by an NPC via a certain amt of Crowns which could have tasks ranging from stuff like "Kill 100 wolvers" to more difficult stuff like "Beat a whole clockwork level without getting afflicted with a status effect" or "defeat the Snarbolax w/out missing the stun bell once" and completing them could yield rewards like tokens, accessories, or steam achievements or something, so running clockworks don't seem like your just grinding all the time and could actually strive for something.

And more accessories would be nice: a cape, maybe a tacky striped business suit, a waist gun holster, cowboy spurs, bullet bandoliers, bat ears, bat wings, snake tails, leopard tails, large shiny belt buckles, gold chains maybe? lol. also some some new aura effects would be nice (nothing too distracting) like bubbles, smoke, and other neat cool things.

EDIT: Purchasable emotes and taunts could be cool too: like fingerguns (bang bang), knuckle cracking, air guitar, maybe a sort of "powering up" emote like how they go super saiyan in dragon ball Z and what not.
