@Latisan: Umm .... either/or, really. It would be the first entry in either category, so unless one or the other gets more entries, it would be judged with the regular artwork categories. At that point it would be a tossup between Gremlins and Knights, but since Gremlins has no entries either, there's a good chance it will just end up being judged with Artwork: Knights. XD Go ahead and submit it and I'll worry about the category.

Eh, and to actually make this a non-spam post, I do have a question just as a preference issue. Tev, do you care how stories in the writing category end? I mean, I think I can go two ways with my Novella - leave it as a cliff hanger (which wouldn't be entered into the contest seeing as how it's just an idea and I haven't written it yet), or I can give it a satisfying ending. Does it need to be one way or another, or do you not care?

Alright, so various family members descended upon my home rather unexpectedly today and my head is a bit of a mess, so here's what I'm going to do:

by sometime tomorrow, I will have judged the caption contest, drawn the new cartoon, and done the random poster drawing. I'm leaving the crossword up another week since so many of you ran out of time last week, but I've already reserved prizes for those who sent me their word lists before the normal deadline. There will be a smaller set of prizes for those who sent/send me word lists between Saturday and this coming Friday, and I'll try to get up a second, smaller puzzle for this week by Monday.

@Oatmonster: After the deadline for this contest has passed, feel free, but make sure that they don't have a rule in their own contest about not using things that were already entered elsewhere!

Information Poll (@Tev): There's not really been a puzzle I've hated. If I had to pick, I think I'd go with word searches. I think it would be cool if there was an anagram-type of puzzle. Create as many SK related words as you can from "whatever". Remove the subjectivity by making it so that each word must be at least so many letters long and/or be on the SK wiki. ...idk I guess that's a bit complicated, but there you go.

@Don-Atropine-Two: Again, another amazing art creation! I like the use of the shading and the simplicity of it. Adding once again to the collection of amazing art on this contest. :)

Don-Atropine, I have to say I love what you did with the tree. I've always been a fan of the design of the trees in SK and I think you captured that fantastically. Great piece!

With regard to the mini-game poll, I've enjoyed all the games so far, especially the word searches, I think. They've all been really accessible, which is great. Latisan's suggestion is one I like as well, though SK-related words can be rather lengthy, so you might want to have, say, a sentence, from which to pick letters to form words.

@Tev - Haha, amazing! Great contest. This is gonna be fun. FYI for everyone else, if you have the letter 'n' in your word/phrase MORE than once, you're doing something wrong.
Edit: L.O.L. This is legitimate, but just now, I realized that if I modified a Java computer program I have right now, I could have it return to me every word on the Spiral Knights wiki that fits in that limerick. ...but I won't do that, and no one else should either! XD

I was just reading your story and saw so many similarities that I realized that I could change a name or two and make a companion novel.

I don't mind your making it a companion/parallel novel, but I do get touchy about people using my characters, so if you needed to actually borrow someone, I'd like it if you asked, first.

Also, I do plan on doing a rewrite of that whole story, as it conflicts a bit with some of my later fiction and the timeline doesn't work out with some of the things in The Clockwork Renegades, which it was originally written to complement.

i feel the platform going down giving my spine a tingly sensation that i am falling.

i notice that i suddenly breath heavily like i am almost been chased, so i close my eyes and took a deep breath and hold it for a bit.

the air became warmer.. and warmer...

"i can feel it!" i said to my self, even though my eyes are close

then i alas the platform stops, i release my breath slowly and open my eyes, but all i see is darkness.. emptiness.. like there is not a single soul exist is place.

As i took the first step a small lit of fire start from a far, then the fire spread aggressively.

i can see how wide is the place... it is massive... but because of the fire its covered with smoke and i can barely see the path ahead

then i realize i am not alone in this place

with a sudden goosebumps i tried looking on what lied ahead.. " I can feel it, someone is watching me behind this smoke" the blood lust from the eye of whoever is looking is so intense that i feel i am already dead

then i saw a shadow.... behind those smoke... I took a deep breath and close my eyes again...

my heart pounds even faster.. i grip my glacius even harder

the heat.. the weight of my armour.. the fatigue... all of it are on this moment...

"this is it!"

then there he was... vanaduke!

my mind is empty... as i ran toward him all i am thinking is one thing

This might take a while...

I'll mail in all those unrelated words as soon as I can get my brother off the computer that has SK installed, which might take a few minutes. Or hours. Or days. Probably the latter. >.>

ANyway, I took a look at week 8's contest...
After about an hour, I'd already got down around 200 words, with no end in sight. And I've only been looking for Monster names that you can make so far. ONLY MONSTER NAMES.

This is going to be an awesome game/contest/thing. :D

EDIT: Right now, I am SO thankful that there are no 'j's in the limerick.
