Wuhu finally I'll not be the only one sending in something for the Gremlin topic *^* now I got a reason to do my best
Tev's Great Big Contest is over, but she'd love your feedback! Snubear! I finally finished your picture!

4* - Shadow Key, Sniped Stranger Hat, Monochrome Picture (same)
5* - Mewkat Monster Pocket, Nemesis Prize Box, Spiralspy Model (same)
Preferences the same as the Spiralspy Scenes entry.
@Carson: It's alright if it's sideways, but you can change it if you want. Anyone is welcome to make edits to their entries until the deadline.
@Remilia: Thanks for the entry! ^.^
It's cool if entries weren't explicitly made for this, right? Like, I'm making this thing for a friend. That would be enterable, yeah? As long as it wasn't made for another contest?
That means I should get started on my project now.
Yep, I haven't even started >:D
I will now panic and try to finish it while hurting myself in the process. Wish me luck!
@Inco: As long as it was made after September 1, isn't for another contest, and wasn't requested/commissioned by me, you can enter it.
@Fallen: Nothing like waiting until the last minute, eh? XD
Aw, Tevy tired? :3
Nyweis, I got started on my story the day before last. I was worried I wouldn't be able to enter due to my lack of an available short story stem, which usually generate themselves in my head.
Fortunately, that problem fixed itself when I put cursor to document. Y4Y!
Looks like I may be able to enter after all :D
Just nobody cry when you read it.
If anyone cries....I'll be crying TOO!!! T^T
It's something between 3 and 4 in the morning here and I just woke up for a bit to welcome Sol home from work. Sleeeepy!
You're already warning me not to cry? Oh dear ...
Bulbasaur, use sleep powwwwwwwwI don't even need to do that do I? '~'
Yeah, death and sadness seem to feature very often in my stories.
Although this is more tragic than just plain sad. Idk, me brain thinks some people can react more to one or the other and not both.
Because I seem to be a semi-masochist and want to enter even though there's less than three weeks left in the contest run OTL
(Err, the category might change to Short Story, but considering how verbose I usually am, I'm probably going to write half a NaNo by the time I'm done oops)

So short!
/sad
Just did a bit of addition, and so far we've given away over 5200 CE in weekly games and random drawings. This doesn't count a few citizenship awards I've quietly given out. XD
@Remilia: Well, a little over two weeks once this one is over, anyway ... time flies!
I should probably get started on my story entry. ._. I haven't started it yet.
Of course, the chances of me finishing a short story in 3 weeks isn't so great. It's harder to write a short story than a long story.
Course, I could make a long story instead. But that would still take forever.
._.
Don't worry. I'll start it soon.
And yay! Eighth page. Man I'm not gonna win because of all these people
I really want to write a story for my last entry, but taking into account the amount of time left, I may just draw something.
And the pressing question.
What ta draw.

I just posted a little excerpt I came up with on the spot from my fan fic, but I was just wondering if I could post that as an entry (considering I already posted it to the public, but I read the rules, so)... and if I can, will you mind telling me how you create a link to show the exact post? Thanks! I suddenly think that spending that time writing it wasn't a waste of my life!
@Don-Atropine: Thanks for the entry! Because of the Grimalkin being there, I put it into the "Everything Else" category, as you can only have one entry per category. If you plan on making a third entry, it will have to either have gremlins in it or qualify for one of the special categories.
@Hexlash: If you right-click the white number in the upper right corner of your post and choose "copy link location" (or whatever similar option your browser gives) you can paste the url of that specific post into the form.
Ah, Thanks for telling me. Changed it to the Everything Else category.

I'm assuming you're allowing me to enter this, so thank you! So close to mini fiction, 1193 words, darn!!
I saw it on Tumblr a moment ago and said to Sol: "Since Inco has been fairly active with the contest, I bet I"ll see this little guy as an entry." Then I came over here and was all "Oh, hey! Look who just posted!"
Trolololol. Eeyup.
I will cry if it collapses when I bake it.
Cry.
Also here's more links but still not full fledged entry.

I've never had Fimo or Sculpey collapse on me, so you should be good. Just don't bake it too hot! I did that once and burned the edges. XD
Tev, can you count my most recent entry as a mini fiction instead of a short fiction? I mean it only went over by 200 words... and I wanna write a short fiction to enter... yay :3
Oh @Incoherrant That little model is beautiful.
Oh hai. I haven't started any of my entries. And I have, what, 3 weeks? I'm fine. Might was well relax a bit... ;D
Excuse me Mr. Jelly, may I have my baseball glove back?
FYI that is in no way meant to be an insult to your awesome art skills...was just the first thing I thought when i saw the picture ;)
Oh Tev!
(----o======>
Can I enter my gremlin sketch (and replace my old sketch), or did I DQ it by sharing it on the inter-webs? >.<
(----o======>
@Hexlash: Sure, since it was only a few over. I'll fix it after I take a nap.
@Shadow: You're as bad as Fallenhope and Lordofnecromancers!
@Pballs: lol ... you'd be surprised how many people didn't even see the helmet in the jelly cube.
@Latisan: Sure, if you want. The only way you can disqualify new work that you're the only creator on at this point is enter is in another contest or fail to fill out your entry form. (That I can think of, anyway. Considering how stubbornly some people refuse to read the first page, I'm sure someone will provide me with another way. >.>)
I'm sorry! I was hoping not to double back and cause all the *bleah* of replacing entries...
but this is replacing my Novella.
Hopefully some of you will enjoy this entry (or maybe I'm beating it to death...). I plan on continuing to add to it until the end of the contest and beyond, so feel free to bookmark or whatever. :/

Entry Title: Jelly Jumble
Entry:
Hexil had somewhat recently added a new jelly creature to his farm. An adventuring group of gremlins had come back from the outskirts of the Jelly Palace with a collection of stray mini jelly cubes, which were apparently too dumb to find their way back into the palace proper. As Hexil prized his jellies on their lack of intellect, one of the more thoughtful members had thought to bring back these easily captured and less hostile minis back to him.
In a potentially misguided effort to teach Ketter and Kotter some responsibility and compassion in regards to jelly cubes- and mostly to distract them from his own jelly farm, now that the "big incident" of the past was sure to be fading from their little memories- when Hexil's mini cubes were breeding nicely, he picked out three little guys and put them in hand-built a small portable pen and presented them to Brisli suddenly with a brisk knock on the door and a gruff "For your... boys." He had almost said 'monsters.'
Luckily, he didn't need to say much, as Brisli's mind started racing with the implications of this present on her own, and she profusely thanked Hexil and sent him home with some baked goodies.
"Boys," she called, shutting the door behind her, "Mr. Hexil brought you a present! Come get it!"
Ketter and Kotter tumbled into the front room, suspciously dirty from who knows what, and did their best to look innocent. "Yes, Mem?" they asked automatically just as their widening eyes took in the pen their mother was holding.
"Are those jelly cubes?"
"Tiny ones?"
"For us?"
"Yes," Brisli replied, "And don't you smash them! You had better keep them ALIVE. And take care of them! ALIVE, I say. No smashing!"
"They're a bit small to jump on, Mem..." said Ketter.
"Shut up!" said Kotter, elbowing his twin in the side.
"I mean, we'll take good care of them."
"Yes, we will! Can we go?"
"Very well then, go play, and take them with you," said Brisli, handing over the pen to her gremlinites.
---
Ketter and Kotter sat on the ground, in a field neighboring Hexil's farm, facing each other with their pen of three mini jellies in between them.
"This one is mine... this one is yours..." pointed Kotter.
"No good, there are only three! I don't want half a jelly!" said Ketter.
"Well then we can't do it that way," mused Kotter, thinking.
"What a strange present..."
"Yeah, that farmer is crazy..."
One of the jellies twisted up and sent the other two flying to the edge of the cage as the gremlinites watched.
"Whoa," they exclaimed in unison.
"You know... I kinda like them," said Ketter, picking a piece of grass to poke one of the jellies.
"Yeah, me too," agreed Kotter, bending down to get on eye-level with squirming cubes.
"They don't have much room in there," mused Ketter.
"They're small! We can make them a pen with rocks instead of... fence stuff..."
"Yeah!"
The gremlinites quickly searched out a good number of big rocks, and within the hour had constructed an enclosure big enough for two gremlinites and with room to spare for three mini jelly cubes. Kotter picked up the pen and moved it to the middle of their makeshift enclosure and Kotter opened it up and ushered the cubes out.
With the extra space, the cubes jiggled around a lot more, but when one made it to the rock wall, it was stumped and bounced itself back towards the center of the area.
"Yeah!" Ketter and Kotter high-fived each other.
They surveyed their handiwork happily, but quickly a seed of discontentment arose as they looked over to the more professional jelly pen not far off.
"We don't have very many," Kotter said, voicing their mutual concern.
"The big ones would be too big," said Ketter, "but maybe we can sneak some of the smaller ones without that old farmer noticing?"
---
The two gremlinites meandered their way over to the neighboring farm and made their way to the new mini jelly cube enclosure. But as they entered the adjoining shed, something red and shiny caught their eye. They both turned at once and saw a bit of red ooze visible through a crack in a small crate. Actually, it was a pile of crates, and they were all marked with the same sort of firework symbol, with boxes of ice all around them.
"Something new and exciting, I think!" said Kotter.
"Whatever they are, they're not out in Hexil's pens yet! We could be the first to have them!" replied Ketter.
"We'll just take one small box from the top! He won't notice it missing!"
Kotter grabbed the topmost small crate-box, and he and Ketter snuck back towards their own little farm.
---
Back at the Ketter-Kotter farm- which was really a small pen made of rocks with a small transporting pen right outside of it- the mini jelly cubes were doing fine. They didn't require much upkeep and the gremlinites hadn't even thought about whether they would need any feeding yet.
The crate in Kotter's arms was still cold when he set it down in the middle of the enclosure. Ketter lifted the cap and inside were two freezing round, red gelatinous blobs.
"They're cold..."
"And they're not moving..."
"Do you think they're still alive?"
"Maybe we'll see when they thaw!"
The two red blobs were set down in the middle of the enclosure and Ketter and Kotter rolled around with their jellies while waiting for them to thaw, just almost smashing the small cubes but holding back at the last second every time.
They had almost forgotten about their new acquisition until Kotter rolled a little too close to the red blobs.
"Hey, Ketter..."
"Yeah?"
"It feels a little warm near these red ones."
Ketter came closer and put his hand on one of the red jellies. "Yeah, they're thawing fast! But they're not moving around yet! Maybe if we toss them they'll start moving!" He picked up the red blob and tossed it lightly towards the furthest rock wall and
--BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!--
"Whoaaaaaaa"
"Whaaaaaaaaat?"
Their ears were still ringing from the loud blast, and all the way in town, other gremlins were wondering what that boom had been.
"I don't think other jellies do that..." said Ketter, staring in the direction of the red stain on the rock.
"Ketter..." said Kotter, staring at the remaining red blob, "The other one! It's glowing!"
"Take cover!"
"Our jellies!"
The jellies had thankfully grouped close to Kotter, and Ketter ran in that direction as they scooped up their three charges and hopped over their small rock wall.
--BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!--
Shaken, the gremlinite twins stood up and peered at the aftermath. All the evidence that remained of the red blob was a char on the ground where it had been, and a few small red splatters on the rocks that made up the enclosure wall.
The mini jellies wriggled in their arms and one of them escaped from Kotter, so the two stuffed the other two jellies into the portable pen and then pounced on the escapee, returning him to "safety" as well.
"Phew..."
"Do you think anyone heard?"
"Yes, everyone heard!" came a gruff voice.
The twins looked up to see the farmer Hexil and their mother standing over them, poor Brisli looking quite out of breath.
"What did you do!" she exclaimed between breaths.
"We... just wanted more jellies for our farm..."
---
It turns out the red blobs had not been jellies at all, but the menacing remains of blast jellies that had been found in the clockworks. Gremlins in Emberlight wanted to research them for defense purposes, and Hexil's farm had been far enough from town and equipped with the capability to keep them safely chilled until the caravan could move on.
However, when the farmer saw the tell tale jelly wrangling scruffs on the two gremlinites, he realized they must have thought to rescue their small charges from the impending blast when they realized it was about to blow.
"If you wanted more jellies... you could have just asked," he said, looking away.
"We just wanted to add to our farm!"
"We have three of the same jellies!"
"I can give you a tiny yellow one, okay? But remember what happened last time! You only need one small yellow one! And maybe if you do well with your little farm, you can come help me at my farm," said Hexil, seeming surprised by himself.
"Yes sir!" the two gremlinites exclaimed in unison, excited by the prospect.
"Can... can we come by now for our small yellow one?" ventured Ketter.
Hexil smiled. "Let's build you a proper pen first. These are some nice rocks, though."

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Alpha Male Canis Lupus sat on his haunches, ears erected and nose straight in the air as the smell- no, not the smell, the aroma- of a group of knights wafted towards him. His eyes, trained to perfection, spotted 3 knights, dressed in a thin armor, and all wearing a ridiculous bright green shield and talking lazily among themselves. Seated around the fire, they roasted marshmellows nonchalantly, and talked about the overpriced market and gossiped about pointless things. Lupus licked his lips, and gave a fanged smile to his Pak members.
"Fresh meat," he growled loudly. "Should be easy pickings."
This announcement was met with much assent. The Wulfs had been looking for food for the upcoming winter, but with all the well defended camps, the new shipment of troops to the Haven garrison, the constant flow of new recruits, and the professional players strategizing ways to easily slaughter his Pak members, food had been scarce. Having such an openly blatant meal was a rare blessing.
Canis Lupus licked his chops, but stopped when his tongue touched the tip of the long scar running down his left cheek. That scar, he remembered all to well... it was the one he got from the fight to death for Alpha Male Pak leader... against his brother. His own brother, whom he had loved and respected for his whole life, had challenged him for the leader position. The same one who had taught him how to walk, how to talk, how to hunt, and most of all, how to love and respect the rest of the pack (as a true leader should). Lupus was exemplary in everything, and though his brother was already Alpha, the brother felt threatened by Lupus' overall superiority. Brother turned on brother, which lead to blood, and eventually.... death.
Killing his brother had transformed Lupus into a mindless, vicious killing machine. Lupus, now degenerated into this... monster, of sorts, would toy with his prey, and slaughter the enemy as slowly as possible. He took pride in killing for fun, but the hunting for sport soon took a toll on the forest, and food became scarcer and scarcer.
Lupus stood on overhanging rock, that towered over the valley, and looked down at his prey. 'Such stupid, stupid knights,' he thought. 'Go wandering, with no real means of defense? Very idiotic indeed.' Fangs bared, knotted and bristled fur glued to his sides by the wind, he leaped down, and crossed the valley at a deadly fast sprint, with the Pak following right behind.
Canis Lupus hit the closest knight at a dead sprint and tackled him to the ground. Teeth gnashing, he snapped in, and ripped the knight's throat out.
But what came out of the knight's throat was not blood.
"Stuffing? STUFFING?" Lupus roared. "IT'S A TRAP! EVERYONE OUT!"
The Pak scattered frantically. Wulfs in all directions, running pell-mell, sprinting awry. It was total and utter chaos.
When the dust lifted up from all the paws disturbing it settled, a lone figure stood in the middle of the clearing. Dressed in full purple, she smiled menacingly at Lupus. A Scissors Blade was slung over her shoulder, and her eyes seemed burn right through his soul.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" she shouted.
A madness overtook Lupus. All the recent events, his brother's death, his condition of near starvation, etc, seemed to combine and create a true hound of (opposite of heaven). He charged at her with all his physical power humanly possible.
Just before he leaped, time seemed to slow down. She drew her sword so fast, he didn't even see the flash of silver before it was too late. Lupus' chest rammed straight into the blade, and a gasp of surprise was uttered from his foul jaws. Breathing becoming increasingly more labored, he tried to pull his body away from the blade, but it was stuck tight.
The purple figure grinned, and then bent down and murmured into his ear, "Who's the Alpha now, huh?"
He attempted to snarl at her, but couldn't get the air out. His chest tight, and his blood all around him, his body finally gave up on survival.
----------------
Three tiny, fear stricken knights emerged from their hiding spot behind a large rock near the entrance to the clearing. Their fear turned to admiration as they gazed with awestruck eyes at the epic spectacle before them. The purple lady, looking like a goddess, standing victoriously over the body of the dead Wulf, grinned back at them, and waved them over.
"Looks like we've got a premium cut of meat here, and a fine coat to sell! Enough food to last us the whole winter, and the coat will sell for lots of cash!"
----------------
The purple lady stood at the edge of the clearing, watching the young knights climb over the peak of the hill and then start their descent to Haven. She then turned and strode briskly to overhanging rock. A little note tied to a package was placed dead center. She picked up the note, and read it out loud.
"Mission accomplished, good work soldier. Enclosed in the parcel is the item we agreed upon, were you to kill him."
Savoring the taste of victory, she grinned, and then strolled away into the sunset.
Will the awards ceremony be in one of the updated guilds?
