Equipment images

Just starting a thread on this in case there's any need for discussion. After looking at the Deadshot Mantle and realizing that the interesting parts of the armor are not visible from the front, I started doing front/back screenshots. Various totally awesome editors have leaped into the fray to upload updated front/back images for the majority of the armors. You guys are great! No, no plans to ask you do 36 different angled screenshots to make an animated gif (oooo what a great idea! heh).

Shango's Attack Bar Template

I've heard some interest in this template from other editors and can look into it. Does anyone know why Shango didn't entirely consider it done yet? Seems to work fine on his page http://wiki.spiralknights.com/User:Shango#AttackPower (Template coding is here: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Template:AttackPower and http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Template:StatBar)

Token drop numbers

Just trying to get a handle on the number of tokens the bosses drop.

- Royal Jelly drops 3-5 jelly gems (currently pretty certain of those numbers)
- Lord Vanaduke drops 4-15 Almirian Seals (I've only seen two numbers mentioned so far 4 by Cobalt and 15 by Pupu)

If you get an more confirmed info that adds to these numbers, feel free to chime in, especial for Lord Van's tokens.

I've been adding icons to the list of alchemy paths. Pretty interesting to see what doesn't have matching icons and all.

Just wanted to let everyone know that during the server maintenance when the forum & wiki were down, they've made some magical changes that now allow us to edit & save our wiki preferences!

So go on over and do things like set the correct time zone for yourself. I also highly recommend "Use enhanced recent changes (requires JavaScript)" under the recent changes preference tab.

Monster Template Shuffle/Revamp?

So with documentation underway regarding monster attack types and monster strength/weaknes types, the current monster template will need to make room for this information. I've started fiddling around with it on my user page (down the bottom): http://wiki.spiralknights.com/User:Levonis

Probability of a unique variant?

In order to get the best possible estimate of how rare unique variants are, a lot of crafting is required in order to smooth out small random fluctuations due to noise. Depending on how low the rate is, we may need to craft several hundred haze bombs to get a good estimate.

Links for dark background tables

Sorry I didn't do this earlier, but I finally added a CSS class for table links called "whitelinks" to help with the tables that have dark backgrounds where you cannot see the links well. I've switched over a few templates, but am not sure if I have gotten them all. You can either let me know here of a page that needs it or you can do it by adding class="whitelinks" to the table in the line that starts with {|. If there's already a class there, you can just make it class="firstclassname whitelinks".

Documenting damage types by monster

Submitted by Pauling on Sun, 02/06/2011 - 10:51

  • Wiki Editors

We've got a lot of good information on the wiki, but we're missing something crucial: a list of what type of damage you can expect to take from given monsters. (normal, shadow, piercing, or elemental)

Without that information, it's rather hard to choose armors suited to a particular kind of encounter. We need:

1. A clear way to determine this information
2. A specific new field added to the Monster info templates
3. Lots of guinea pigs who don't mind being smacked around repeatedly by monsters in the name of science

Thoughts?
