Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it.

Boomerangs

Maybe a new type of weapon should be the boomerang. It would do more damage shots fired from a gun, but you couldn't throw it again till it comes back to you. Some boomerangs could grab items for you too. Also, you could charge it for better range, among other things.

Certain boomerangs would maybe plant bombs(on the floor or enemies), and others might shot at the apex the toss. Is this a good idea? What do you think.

Scarlet Shield Idea

Well this is just an idea I have for an item and it's art.

The Scarlet Shield currently has no modified art, or as far as I know, modified stats, in any of the updates.

I don't think you can acquire the recipe any more either, but I can't confirm this.

Since I liked the idea of the Scarlet Shield but it appears it may be disappearing, I'm going to offer up some ideas on how it can look and function to keep this newbie friendly shield alive.

Remedy Capsules All cure

As for now we have 3 types or health capsules and 1 remedy capsule.
the effect a remedy capsule does is cure all status like fire, poison and curse
leaving ice, sleep, stun and shock.
What if we had another capsule that could cure that for us wouldn't that be nice?
I bet ur asking me how would you do that because when ur stunned or sleeping u can't cure yourself duh...
Well I had this idea that might work for it and thats a All party cure remedy capsule.
What it does is that it cures every status of any party member in your party.

Option to toggle display of Strangers

Submitted by Pooded on Sun, 02/20/2011 - 07:04

  • Suggestions

Seeing that everyone's home is Haven,
I have a feeling that Haven and many other places
are going to get filled up when Spiral Knights is released.

And our characters may be hidden in the pool of characters,
like a needle in a haystack. Not to mention that low-end
computers will have great issues with loading everyone's
equipments onto their memory.

So my suggestion is to have an option and a shortcut button
to toggle the display of Strangers, meaning those not
in your Buddy list or Guild will be hidden.

Yeah so, this is the end of my post. ^^

Ideas for PvP

Let’s hear them. Let’s also hear improvements upon them. And I’ll start...

I’ve heard whispers that things like this might have been mentioned before, but I might be the first to give it a name...

Guild Gate PvP

The idea behind Gate PvP is that, with enough resources, a Guild can construct a permanent Gate, use minerals to populate it with levels, and then have to defend it from the onslaught of other players, including rival Guilds, lest it be either stolen, or destroyed.

Real consequences, or no PvP

The thing that I liked about Puzzle Pirates, as opposed to WoW, is that PvP had real consequences. Blockades result in the gain and loss of territory. Wars result in the loss of ships. Important things happen when PvP takes place in Puzzle Pirates.

In WoW, that doesn’t happen. An army of Orcs cannot storm some keep somewhere, kill off everything inside, and then permanently claim it as their own, simply as a matter of achievement. Sure, players spawncamp, but no one ever congratulates someone on how long they’ve defended a herd of pigs. :P

Suggesting a change to the tier effect of weapons

Submitted by BehindCurtai on Sat, 02/19/2011 - 14:45

I don't like the current setup for weapon tiers. I'd like to suggest the following change.

Apparently, as I understand it, monsters get harder at each depth in a tier. A depth 7 monster is harder than the equivalent monster at depth 5, for example.

Equally, an in-tier equipment is supposed to get tougher -- so, that equipment gets tougher as well. This keeps the earliest levels from being pushovers.

A Armor and Two Handed Ranged Weapon Ideas

For one I really would like another Cyclops helm variation or such, like:

As well, two handed weapons, they have somewhat increased power, longer charge times (however much more stronger than their 1-handed counterparts), and forgo the protection of shields.

Rifle Type:

Functions the same as handguns, they feature more slightly more damage, but has a slower fire-rate. Has a strong charged shot.

Cannon Type:

Slow weapon suggestion

The "slow" weapons we have now like the sealed sword series and troika series, it's merely just slow attack speed.

What about weapons that require two hands, and you cannot wield shields with them?

I mean, you couldn't block and they would be slow, but they do great damage.

And maybe a Gatling gun or something that would require some winding up before it fires?

Special items for preview players

Hi, a suggestion of mine is to give all preview players
a special item when the game goes into gold status,
to make us feel more special, other than the
25% extra crystal energy for charging.

I wouldn't mind spending on crystal energy during the
preview period if I would receive a special item only
for preview players for doing do.

What I mean by special items is to give limited items
that non-preview players cannot get, even if the item
has the weakest stats in the game.

Most games do this, as it in fact does make us feel more
