Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it.

Potential for custom UIs / HUDs?

So this is kind of like modding, except not really, since it doesn't affect very much.
I mean it's still modding, but...

Anyway, I suggest adding support for people to make custom HUDs similar to TF2. This means people could actually use the old HUD if they so wish, so yeah.

that is kinda the main point of me suggesting this tbh

So back in the Mist Energy elevator cost days of yore there was an elevator pass that essentially removed the thing that halted progression for a month: that being Mist Energy.
With the removal of ME and the introduction of the Forge, no such item exists.
So I'm suggesting something that's probably been suggested many times before, but no matter.

Forge Passes!
It'd probably cost ~$5-10 worth of energy and last for a month, and it lets you level up gear like previously, essentially the elevator pass's replacement.
Good idea? Horrible idea? What do you think?

Another Lag Compensation Suggestion

I know there has already been quite a few threads suggesting this, but I would like to bring this to the attention of GH.

One of the biggest reasons why I can't enjoy SK fully is because of lag. Without an Australian/Asian servers, players in these regions suffer from terrifying lag... being hit through the shield and the like. Then there's PvP. Although I play mostly PvE, I'm hoping we can at least have Lag Compensation for that.

While servers in said regions are likely not possible, the next best thing would be Lag compensation.

Please consider looking into it, Grey Havens.

Camera?

wow, i've just been everywhere for the past hour or so

*ahem*

Most people probably know that the way SK's camera is positioned, you get amazing visibility upwards, not so much downwards (which is probably why most of the boss levels are made in a way such that you move upwards).
However, this gets kind of weird when you're inevitably forced to move downwards and a devilite jumps out of nowhere and destroys you.
So, I offer two potential solutions:

Prestige mission rewards

I'm kinda stealing this idea from Triplescrew from a thread in general discussion, but nonetheless I'm still posting it.

Prestige missions are basically useless other than a pretty badge so what if when you completed all the daily missions (including the Danger Mission), you get an orb of alchemy or some fire crystals?
Since everyone complains about orbs anyway, this could be a solution.
Or maybe if you complete at least one mission for 5/10 days in a row you get an orb?

The problem with Elite difficulty

Ah yes, Elite difficulty. The only one you should ever play on, since it's the only one that gives semi-decent rewards.
There's just one problem.

The way that it's made "difficult" isn't really difficult: it's just more punishing to be hit.
What do I mean by that exactly, you might be thinking (but probably not)?
I mean that instead of changing anything really substantial they gave monsters nuclear bombs for standard attacks.

It's safe to say that we already know how this promo will go down.

The pirate themed iron slug?
1-2 mill. Straight up. Players LOVE the new slug mechanics as of the gunner update. You guys did great. A+.

The pirate themed dread venom striker?
Maybe not so much but it is a neat sword and most players like those. Not exactly combuster. B-

The pirate themed big angry bomb?

Ninja Themed Promo

Was talking to some folks in Haven earlier, and someone brought up the whole "Pirates VS Ninjas" feud from like, 2007. Made me starting thinking about the whole thing.

Ninja styled costumes, scarves as accessories similar to the ones on the shade gunner armors, spiked gauntlets, sheathes, headbands and belts, etc.

The main newish idea that would be super cool would be a winmillion reskin (or you know, adding a winmillion 5* variant then making this a reskin of that) that hid most of the blade and essentially looked like you were throwing shurikens (projectile replacement).

Leave the party and return to READY ROOM

Hi there,
There are currently two options when riding an elevator in the clockworks:

  • Advance
  • Quit Expedition: Leave the party and return to Haven.

There should be a third option, to quit to Ready Room. This would be very useful for people who want to jump into another mission, without having to sit through the ridiculous Haven loading screen.

Valestone, Moonstone, Battle Sprites and Guild Halls.

Dear Three Rings Design.

Honestly, the completely wasted materials known as Valestone and Moonstone is very present to me. Perhaps you could update the game with new battle sprites to compensate for the lack of purpose for these two terrible minerals.
