I used to play this game for 3 straigh years, and it was one of my addiction games, everythign was so simple and so accessible etc. etc. Then i got to a point that i was playing for no reason, getting weops for no reason, i just got bored so i left, i came back for like 2 years?? and the game looks pretty much the same but i can see that stuff is not going well, not alot of people on haven like it used to be, less items on AH for soe reason.

But my suggestion is not related to these last points, there somethinh that makes me even more sad, people who used to play before mission were a thing, probably remember that Clockworks room, full of people, going for adventures, everyday, always full of people, and nwo that room is dead, no one goes there, theres nothign there, most usless room, dont get me wrong, i like the idea of mission, easier to craft and stuff but damn , what made this game unique was going to clockworks and get there and play random dephs for fun and to get to the "Mighty" vanaduke.

Haven is the onyl place where people get together to talk and trade, and the only spot people actually go AH and bazaar (just a few) , i mean for a game that only has a little vilage is preety sad that only has 1 room where people go, lets make haven a place that used to be, my suggestion is this:

Create something worth to make full runs, somethign that makes people go to clockworks and go fight all these random dephs idk, BUT NO SPECIAL EVENT LIKE HALLOWEEN, something that keeps people get there everyday!
And please stop thinking about prizeboxes, its cool and stuff but people want something fresh to the game...

Oh look, another one of these threads, as if the other threads that have made this claim even during the BETA didn't even exist.
The game sure has been dying for quite some time, eh? Maybe all of us are dying too.

They're working on new stuff.

Also, several people start playing every day. You can often see new players doing the 2-1 mission to take a tour of the training hall.
I agree that there should be more reasons to actually do clockworks runs instead of missions, but NOT making missions only available once (which has been suggested before, not sure when).

(They haven't really revealed anything except that new stuff is planned, nothing about what it is.)

How can a game be dead if there are people still playing it and posting on the forums? What a totally ridiculous proposition. How about we bury you instead? How do we know you're still alive?

Sheesh. (Also wall of suggestion text inbound)

Y'all are being very vitriolic towards this knight, no need to do that.

Yes, many people have said the game is dying, and have been since beta, and that's simply not true, but let's use that statement as they did and only use it as a reason for the suggestion.

Now, your actually suggestion doesn't have much weight to it. Saying "do something" can be anything.
An idea could be each arcade gate has a special token drop in each gate. The depth is random, and there is only one per gate, per day. However, if you play on the right depth and on the right level, you will get the token from the prize wheel.

Now, we can jump to a few other things. Add "achievement" tokens. These tokens are achieveable via the same criteria as unlocking certain achievements are, via a similar system as above in that the prize wheel at the end gives you the item. The achievements for these tokens would be: bronze survivor, silver survivor, gold survivor, cradle and all, and dauntless delver. Each achievement would grant different amounts of these tokens, in correspondence with the previous listing: 1 token, 2 tokens, 3 tokens, 5 tokens, 10 tokens. These tokens can only be achieved once per gate.
These tokens would be exchangeable with Brinks for rarities, slot upgrades, other tokens, silver/shadow keys, or a "surprise" prize box (at a very hefty price). All items are bound on purchase, however the contents of the "surprise" prize box are not.

When an achievement is achieved for the first time, players are awarded 5 achievement tokens. This applies to all achievements in the game. Players who currently have some or all achievements finished would receive the proper amount of tokens upon logging in after this update, but only the tokens they would have gotten for completing it the first time(i.e., 5 tokens per achievement). If a player is in the same party as the player who gets this achievement, and they already have the achievement, they would be granted a single achievement token.

The prices for the items would be decided by Three Rings, and prizes can be offset as well, however this is how I would manage it:

    RARITIES
  • Spark of Life - 5 tokens, bought in clumps of 5
  • Fire Crystals - 1 token per star level, bought in clumps of 3
  • Orbs of Alchemy - 10 tokens per star level, bought in clumps of 3
  • TOKENS

  • 'Spark' tokens - 1 token turns into 15 grim/primal/forge sparks.
  • 'Boss' tokens - 1 token turns into 1 boss token.
  • 'Event' tokens - 1 token turns into 1 event token. Event tokens can only be acquired by an NPC in haven specific to that event when the event is currently in effect.
  • Krogmo Coins - these tokens cannot be unlocked by achievement tokens
  • OTHER

  • Trinket Slot - 10 tokens
  • Weapon Slot - 17 tokens
  • Silver Key - 50 tokens
  • Shadow Key - 120 tokens
  • 'Surprise' prize box - 500 tokens

If the prices seem off, then figure out prices, having one "achievement" token be equal to what is essentially 15 energy.
What you are doing is making players want to go back into the clockworks and not die while doing so. This also makes running "cradle and all" not only profitable, but something that players can strive to do often in order to get all 21 of that gate's tokens (plus also maybe the bonus token from earlier).

That is a way to bring players into the game every day while also not leaving newer or lower-star knights completely out of the equation. Heck, it makes higher-star knights more eager to help lower-star knights unlock the clockworks achievements. These tokens may also help lower-star knights unlock weapon and trinket slots so they'll be more likely to try those out, and also try out more gear as they can afford rarities from Brinks.

For being nice.

I am not thinking of anything grand, but perhaps just make more scenario rooms for various levels. Keep things interesting. Event-wise, why not "bonus" weekends or something. I know a game I used to play (Dead Frontier) has such a weekend, and it really brings in players to stick to playing. Why not Spiral Knights (unless lag and ancient server and whatnot).

hmmm

- As for more hangout spots, we could make it that the different versions of hall of heroes are not instanced for only one person, but more like the training hall that we go to. Different people can meet there to see what other people are buying/upgrading too when it comes to recipes.

- Also, we could make it that the lab is also not instanced for only one person, and make it that several players can come in to buy pet food, and also increase the uses for the lab like adding new pet customize ability and other related actions that have to do with our knights so that it can become more crowded.

- Also, Revamp the old advance training hall to have more space, have it include the unique pick ups like support or artillery air strike etc...

- Also for the clockwork and missions; make it so that we do not have a button that we can click to dive into the clockwork. Instead make it so that knights can also spawn upon login to the clockwork room. Or make it so that there are teleportation pods all around haven that we can use to jump into the different rooms instead of having to walk everywhere (we already poof in and out every where without explanation anyway). This would avoid all the login screen and travel time to head to the clockwork room. Make it so that the party finder and clockwork gate access can only be accessed from the clockwork room. This way there will be some use for that room instead of it becoming useless.

- Missions need more depth to it when we finding/accessing them. Make it so that a knight comes/walks to us when we arrive back in haven that explains the mission to us like an npc knight. This knight can be our superior officer or that recon girl we usually see that hands out the missions. Also, it doesn't always have to be a knight walking up to us.

- We could also use the garrison guild hall building as another point to create a new area where we can access the knight central command. In the guildhall drop down menu upon entering the guild hall building entrance, we could see a default choice to enter the knight's central command. Some missions will require knights to report in to that place where we would see npc's bustling working around the area. This room will not be instanced, but also like the advance training hall where we can see other players come in to report in there missions (Hopefully the room can have some windows showing an animation of sprites flying in the background. And why do we not have windows as a decorative option for guild halls?). After reporting in, the knights would receive there rewards for the mission and be given their prestige points.

- Some other missions would only activate after or before going up a rank name like from knight to knight elite. Or right after we complete an achievement. These missions might or might not require the knight to run solo. Highly detailed scenario base missions would most likely ask the knight to run solo so that the scenario can run as predicted (story line). The current prestige missions, but beefed up to a more danger room challenge could ask the knight to get teammates like the gauntlet mission to run together sense it is more challenging and is not scenario storyline based.

- Finally, non scenario base missions need to have impact! Like after the knight completes that mission, make it know to the knight's friends that they completed that mission. The same way in the f7 drop down menu where we get reports about our friend activities and achievements, we could get a report that our friend defeated that mission (for example, the danger missions would be a good mission to report about). For more impact, there can be general hologram bill board in the garrison in front of the guild hall but far away from it that constantly updates for knights that defeated hard missions. In the bill board, there could be some statistics showing the amount of players the knight had in his party, the ranking of those players, how many revives the knight used on that mission, if all monsters were killed and how long it took the knight to complete the mission. These numeric values can be combined, added and translated into a letter grade for that party. Triple sss can be an excellent party that used no revives, completed the mission fast, killed all monsters, and did a mission appropriate to their rank or a mission higher then their rank for bonus points. The amount of players in the party only matters to the beholder and does not factor into the grade. So players can put a value to that factor themselves. An F grade can be a knight that took very long to complete the mission, skipped most or all the monsters, used tons of revives, and did a mission under their rank. Guild's can use this information to reliably recruit players that are active and perform well. Though guilds can also recruit bad players also as long as their active, and because most players that uses tons of revs are usually loaded :P...

But yeah, these are my ideas on how to make the game more interactive and fun.

Man, i really loved your suggestion you totally got the point, the idea of walking to clockworks to chose the mission its perfect, thats we need , click button just to get to a place kinda ruins the movement of haven, that would be perfect :) and and i agrre about the lab and training hall, but mostly missions in clockworks thanks for your suggestion!
