Have a suggestion for Spiral Knights? We would like to hear it.

MOAR shield types plz

Right now there's a nice big selection of shields to choose from, they offer resistance to this or better defense versus that etc etc

but in reality they're all exactly the same! I hold the shield button, I am immune for at least a couple hits. The status-defense shields don't seem to make a huge difference to me, and the different damage types on shields don't seem to matter either when any shield seems to block any attack (at least once or twice).

User Interface - Arsenal

Mostly when going through my materials I find it a bit annoying that the list for it is so long in my Arsenal. Having to scroll through it in 1 column really takes a while and makes it easier for me to miss the material I'm looking for.

I think it would be very useful if your Arsenal had an "Expand" button, which would enlarge your Arsenal with an extra column or 2. It would give a much better overview on your inventory in my opinion.

Forum rank suggestion..

Well I'm very new to this game and I know it's in an early stage, but I came on this forum for the first time and could not distunguish between good members, noobies like me, and staff members. I'm not saying we need a whole rank system with post counts, avatars, signatures, nothing like "SUPA DEV" y'know - just coloured names for staff would help.

This would be a benefit because:

1) It would help recognize who the friendly staff members are
2) We know that what the staff person says is true
3) I don't accidentally rage at you :D
4) You get a cool coloured name?

A Completely Reasonable Request

Alright, so, this request may be less reasonable than advertised:

Please flip the faceplates on the Cobalt Armor sets down like all the NPCs and art show! Keeping them up mostly destroys the appeal of the helms. I've wanted the armor from those NPCs for the longest time, but not like this.

Of course, I've only gotten up the Mighty Cobalt Armor so far and have no idea what the Azure Guardian Armor looks like yet. It could very well have a flipped-down faceplate, which would be nice. I get the feeling you guys have something against completely hiding the faces though.

Arena suggestions

I have 2 of them in mind.

1. Robot helpers don't respawn into the gate unless you're all far up in the gate. Could this be changed? usually they are stuck behind the gate until the fight is over.

2. Add more heart spawns in between battles please. (those auto-respawn spots I mean)

i like the dungeon type game play it reminds my of faith but i think there should be more classic mmorpg type areas not for grinding (i hate grinding) but for more of a social type game play

New Weapons?

Im sorry if this has been suggested, searched and found nothing and went about 5 pages back, but seeing as the type of game this is, any chance of new melee weapons such as axes or spears?

The way I figure it, spears would be straight jabs, yet reach slightly further than the bulky swords and quicker (yet weaker). The charge being an arcing swing.

Axes could be the same in a way but shorter distance (normal sword) and stronger. Charging to do a spin attack hitting all sides.

Armour Balancing

As of now, the armour types have no correlation.
It's a very strong source for imbalance if you have four damage types and only use one at a time.

My main idea is this:

Make Normal damage and Piercing damage opposites, so that they don't appear on the same armour together.
Make Elemental damage and Shadow damage opposites, so that they don't appear on the same armour together, either.

Clockwork tunnels need clockwork access

So I'm going through some CT's, and I'm realizing:

These are supposed to give the gremlins and other workers access to the gearworks that make up the clockworks, right?

So why are there no gears? No pulleys. Nothing that actually corresponds to any sort of clockwork mechanism?

Maybe there should be alarm systems, to alert the maintenance teams to intruders. Set off an alarm, and in a few minutes, something comes in from the elevators to check it out.

Double Healers... seriously?

Okay I am sorry but this is totally ridiculous. Healers should not be together. They heal everything for 200, making every monster in their range (which is also overly large) basically invincible until the healers themselves die. Plus they resurrect all their gremlin friends, so gremlins are literally invincible. Even if I am somehow lucky enough to take down one of the healers, guess what? The other one resurrects him right away. Oh my.
